Mark Grayson Variants as Husbands

Characters: Emperor Mark, Mohawk Mark, No Goggles Mark, Omni-Mark, Prisoner Mark

Emperor Mark

Surprisingly enough, he doesn’t have any concubines. He is mature enough to know that he doesn’t have the capacity to manage a harem of alien brides. Despite his occasional childishness, he is devoted to you and you alone and takes great pride in his monogamy. He would be lying if he said he doesn’t want a harem composed of versions of you though.

He can be, for lack of a better term, a brat and insists on “my way or no way.” But in the end, he always buckles to what you want, because he hates upsetting you.

He values your opinion. You are his consort, his only equal. He will always seek your advice before he makes any major decisions, especially ones that may affect the empire.

Mohawk Mark

Reads all the books you like to read, and even the fanfics you deemed “shameful.” Though he teases you, he never mocks you. 

He’s a philosophy nerd–actually, he’s a total bookworm who’ll read anything, from The Nancy Drew Cookbook to the Kama Sutra–but he has a soft spot for Camus and his peers. He talks to you about the inherent meaninglessness of life while you two eat pizza and watch TV.

He loves seeing you use and wear the stuff he buys you. It’s rare for him to actually make a purchase with the intention of getting you things, but he always thinks of you. Even when he isn’t thinking of you, he can’t help but think of you. 

One of his favorites is the heart-shaped locket which contained braided locks of his hair. He has an exact replica of that locket that contained your hair, too. 

No Goggles Mark

Resembles a puppy dog who loves his owner too much. A cute, obsessive, six-foot-tall murderous dog. His day starts and ends with you.

He would probably be your devoted househusband if he had any choice in the matter, but you don’t like him being alone. 

Out of all of them, he’s the reddest flag purely from the fact that he has difficulty, or rather, has zero interest in interacting with others when you’re not around. 

He’s also one of the more competent fighters, but he always comes home bleeding and bruised. It’s because you fuss over him. More blood means more affection. 

He doesn’t get the human concept of the “nagging wife” because he relishes in your voice, in your undivided attention. It doesn’t matter if you’re reprimanding him or praising him, whether you throw flowers or dirt, life with you is one big, beautiful garden. 

Omni-Mark

Appears cold and distant to outsiders, to the point that they can’t even picture him smiling or being all cuddly, but he’s just a man who knows when and how to separate business from pleasure.

He is very observant. He repairs any problems in the house before you even notice, like a leaky faucet or a squeaky door hinge. 

A man of his word, he prioritizes his commitments to you over everything else. If you two planned a vacation together on the other side of the world, then he is ignoring any and all calls from work. 

He has endless time, but time with you can only be for so long, which makes it all the more precious than the lives of everyone else in the universe. 

Prisoner Mark

The actual househusband.

He gets super competitive when it comes to cooking and maintaining the house’s cleanliness, which, while you do appreciate, concerns you a bit. You don’t want him to get too obsessed with the housework because it means he always finds an excuse to stay at home. Granted, he’s an ex-con, but you still want him to interact with other people.

Despite his rough exterior, he is still a sweetheart. When random thugs aren’t making trouble for him, he is pretty chill.

You find that you have nothing to worry about when you discover that he is on a first name basis with the cashier lady at the grocery you two frequent, is affectionately called “Boo Radley” by the neighborhood kids, feeds the ducks and pigeons near the park, and is loved by every dog and cat that crosses his path.

FAV CHARACTER + 1 REASON WHY: Gotta go with Leo! The reason why has to be the depth of his character—like he has his inferiority complex, his wit and his protectiveness, not to mention how he does adjust his personality slightly with each brother, developing his role as the Face Man.

LEAST FAV CHARACTER + 1 REASON WHY: Hm… gonna have to go with Albearto. There were some funny bits in his episodes but like I’m not a fan of horror themes. Angst, yes. Horror, no.

FAVORITE VILLAIN: Big Mama! She seriously is one of the most clever and manipulative villains in the show, and in case you couldn’t tell lol I wish there were more episodes with her and Leo’s dynamic.

LEAST FAVORITE VILLAIN: Albearto.

FAVORITE DUO: Ahh, I love all the duo dynamics but the Disaster Twins definitely takes the cake!

FAVORITE SHIP: None really. I mean, like LeoCass I could POTENTIALLY SEE in the future but like rn I think their personalities would clash. Who knows? Maybe I’ll be proven wrong in some awesome fic or *cough cough* season 3 *cough cough*

TWO REASONS I LIKE ROTTMNT: Only two, lol? Well, firstly it has to be the characters. Each one has their own set of strengths and flaws that makes them unique and relatable. They all interact with each other amazingly and everything feels natural and not forced like the writers tried to cram incompatible characters into the same show. Secondly, it has to be the humor for the show and the plot for the movie (i had to split the two, hehe). I always laugh out loud at the clever wit of the show, and the movie was just STELLAR!!! I could geek out over it forever, but probably the main takeaways were the themes of heroism and sacrificing yourself for those you love. Now I know I know, self-sacrifice is iconic as a bad thing in fanfic and if it’s a habit then yeah it’s not good but honestly the principle shows the greatest love anyone can have for another person. And the TMNT franchise has always been inspiring for what it takes to be a hero <3 Also the way it was able to balance the humor of the show with the darker tones of the movie was just perfect to witness and felt so smooth. If BY CHANCE the franchise is ever resurrected I would love to see this new dynamic in Season 3 and explore all the interesting aspects of trauma and also Casey and Leo’s dynamic. AVRP AU:

This is just some more information on the au before I release sketches or more story details. Feel free to send me questions if you have any!

How does the AVRP work?

The AVRP (Alternate Variant Reformation Program) is working to reform all the variants caught from the invincible war. They’re trying using to keep this a secret because they don’t think the public would react well.

The board cannot seem to agree on which approach they should use to reform them. The whole point is to try and get them to fight FOR Earth against Viltrum which most of them serve for in their dimensions- plus some board members think they should be punished for the damage they’ve done while others think that if they punish them it’ll cause a guarantee of betrayal from them in the future. So far, staff are trying a kinder approach- providing therapy, nice rooms inside the facility, human interaction, tv and books, etc,.

How does this AU differ from the canon?

Everything all the way up to the invincible war is canon. During the invincible war, there were more variants in this au. Every variant we’ve seen in the show during the fight is alive- the other variants that exist in this au are the ones killed. The AVRP did some major covering and reported half of the variants they caught as dead, and governments assumed whoever was behind this (angstrom levy) took the rest with him- like when he through the 8 remaining into the wasteland.

Damage has also been to the lesser extent because they worked on catching the stronger variants first. The war still lasted three days but that’s because there was more variants and it was hard to keep track of what was going on with conflicting orders being sent out.

Do they have a contingency plan?

Yes and no. It’s almost like a contingency theory. If a variant were to escape and kill up to 5 people, they would most likely incapicate them and lock them up, not giving them a second chance. If it gets up to 50 people, they will execute them. They don’t have it meticulously planned out on how to do so as they can’t agree on what method to capture, or execute.

Are they getting new names?

Yes. I wrote this down just in case nobody saw my polls but I did do polls for the variants and am picking names based on what won. Some variants I chose myself. These are just the names of a few of them, not all of them.

Some variants refused to be called anything but Mark, and some were okay with getting a new name. Due to some refusing, names were kind of forced onto them. Some are actual names, some are more so nicknames because they couldn’t pick.

Sinister mark- sinister (I feel like the name was given to him because the staff didn’t like his vibe)

Mohawk Mark- Mitch

Maskless Mark- Miller

Full Mask Mark- Miles

Retro Mark- Marcellus

Shiesty Mark- Mikey

(Yes if you’re confused by the polls, I flipped retro and sheisty’s winning names because I don’t think Marcellus fits Sheisty but Mikey does)

Omni-Mark- Min-Sung

Cap Mark/Cowl Mark- Reed

Will they interact with canon characters other than the variants?

Yes, eventually. Right now they won’t be but the first two to be introduced into the AU will be Debbie and Amber- to show the more human side of them if it’s still in there.

Staff’s favorite variants?

I feel like it’s obviously Miles (full mask) because his goal is the closest within reach, and they can give it to him. So, he mostly doesn’t get violent or retaliate. Second is Viltrum Mark (no name yet) because he keeps to himself and doesn’t retaliate against female staff or nursing staff.

Why I think Arcee and Smokescreen are peak duo material

(Note: This is all in a platonic sense!!! I see them as cool aunt and nephew!! like elita and bee in tfo!!)

this will be a half analysis on one episode in particular, with some other things that happen after. and why I think these two are swell together.

Okay now yes, Arcee Was a “hater”(emphasis on the quotes)of smokescreen at first and I’d like to analysis that, in the episode hard knocks(s2 E22) we got to remember smokescreen was brash ESPECIALLY in that episode.

“I’m going to be a great warrior someday, like Optimus” -smokescreen

“well, train hard, and gain some wisdom along the way and I’m sure It’ll happen” -bulkhead

“Oh, It will. It’s my destiny” -Smokescreen

Very, VERY confident, boarding on egotistical, actually. whiles yes Smokescreen is just a kiddo, very young and doesn’t grasp at the current WAR going. We gotta admit, he’s got it over his head(this is coming from the girl who’s favorite character IS smokescreen So there’s no way I hate him LOL)

as a refresher, bee and arcee go to find an Omega-key. To Smokescreen’s disgruntlement, as he REALLY wanted to do the mission(saying “last one to the ground-bridge must scrub the energon tanks for a week!”)

Arcee throws a jab at Smokescreen, saying “keep your engines idle, kid. Come bee, destiny awaits” which I personally think, It’s lighthearted :) Like ain’t no way arcee HATES his guts, she’s just messing!…But a lil too aggressive, Of course.

but after that interaction, action show does it’s thing with knockout BRUTALITY defending The key from the two autobots(with the help of Soundwave’s weapons he borrowed)the end result is victory on the Deception’s side.

after recouping, The team discuss what happened. and Smokescreen is a lil too zealous with his commentary on things.

“Man, it must’ve been crazy with knockout going all sonic. Oh I wish I’d been there! I would’ve-“

“Would’ve what? Recovered the key like you did the first one?”- Arcee

“maybe? who knows! I just want us to be firing on all cylinders! you know, now that the star saber’s gone! and I have a pretty good track record”- smokescreen, you can see he’s been VERY ignorant. Not to his blame, but you got to keep in mind, this kid Just showed up. being this “confident” about his abilities, especially after a CRUCIAL lost is something that will peeve anyone.

Arcee gives him this look, before promptly taking her battered frame and storming off.

again, no one here at fault. after that smokescreen feels remorse about if his words offended arcee, he clearly doesn’t mean to insult her. And arcee isn’t wrong or cruel for being upset!

(note: I freaking love these characters, wowie zowie such good emotions from looks and words!)

later on, Optimus finds another location for different omega-key. this time Bulkhead and smokescreen are in-charge in finding it.

smokescreen says “I’m gonna bring back that key” and warms himself up before entering the ground-bridge, upon noticing Arcee’s graze he slouches remembering the last interaction they had and leaves.

Arcee gets the attention of bulkhead to have a few words. she tells him “make sure you keep an eye on destiny’s child, okay?” a quant reminder, clearly from a place of concern. if she hated him, she would’ve been praying he’d get hurt.

But no, she’s concerned. she sees a kid in war far too eager for his own good.

“compared to watching miko? piece of cake” -bulkhead, funny quip and also a cute jab.

again, action show gotta action. this time dreadwing(remember him?) ambushes the two, smokescreen runs to get the key, while bulkhead distracts.

In the end, starscream actually shows up and steals the key from under smokescreen’s non-existent nose.

after rejoining the team, Smokescreen beats himself up on losing the key(to which is not at fault)

“some great warrior I’m turning out to be” -smokescreen

and now entering, arcee's very important statement.

“you still don’t get it do you?" she starts "a couple of victories aren’t going to make you a legend" talking about his first victory he's been bragging about "and not every mission results in success." he's current “fail” "Not for me, not for bee, not even for Optimus” targeting his idols, bee he's older brother(check project predacon s3 e5) and he's hero(check literally every-time smokey talks about him)

“we’ve gained relics, and we’ve lost some. we’ve also lost friends, we’ve even lost a world. but this one time we get a do-over." hammering in the stakes "we have a chance to bring back cybertron, and everyone in this room needs to be in-sync. this isn’t about you or your destiny” like it or not he NEEDED to hear this, he needs to focus. and if no one is going to step up and say it then arcee will.

Optimus interjects by saying “Arcee, you made your point” concerned at the rising tension.

to which Arcee Objects “Optimus, he needs to hear this” to assert her (aggressive)guidance to the young bot.

“you might actually become a great warrior one day, and I sincerely hope you do." A genuine wish"But greatness beings and ends wit putting the team first, not your personal scorecard” doubling down.

“There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you guys” smokescreen attempts to explain, to which arcee stops him “then stop trying to be a hero, and start being an autobot” THAT LINE was the finisher, and I really can’t find fault in that whole statement she said. yes she did sound aggressive, but how would he know?

would you rather someone like optimus? to tell him to his face he isn’t focused?

someone needed to tell him, and that someone Cared for him. if arcee hated him she would’ve have said any of that!

she would chewed him out with saying something like “you only care about yourself! about your stupid destiny! about nothing but your personal scorecard!” but no she doesn’t word it like that.

she sees him and the whole team as family(check THE FIRST episode)

she wants to guide him.

but is frustrated that he doesn’t understand the gravity of the situation.

she sees him like bumblebee, expect more people can understand him.(or jack, they have similar quirks)

she sees herself in him, and she doesn’t want him to fall into the traps she fell into(outcasting himself from the team, doing reckless missions alone, and thinking he can handle it)

she could’ve done it better, but stuff reached a boiling point that can’t be ignored.

after that, seeing everyone’s optics on him. smokescreen withdraws saying “You know what, maybe I’m just not good enough” and dashes out of the base.

(ratchet says “when Optimus says to stop, you should listen” which like gee ratchet thanks for the heads up gramps go back to playing candy crush)

Optimus stops bulkhead on getting him, allowing the young bot to get sometime to reflect.

sometime passed, and optimus finished finding the location on the key. turns out it was smokescreen was the location, and soundwave with lazerbeak get to him first.

entertaining episode inside job(s2 e23, my favorite episode actually!)

action show does it’s thing AGAIN. smokescreen managed to escape but is now in free-fall from leaving the ship.

He gets in-contact with ratchet to open a ground-bridge to save himself, to which Megatron thwarts his trajectory, failing the rescue.

“you missed!?” -Arcee

“open another one! fast!” -bulkhead

both of these two are barking orders at a stressed ratchet, because they Care that much(to the point of ignoring logic and letting their emotions control LOL)

after Smokescreen clever use of the phase-shifter, saving himself and returning the keys. he indulges in his victory.

“destiny! Alpha-trion Knew I’d keep it safe!” -smokescreen

(the GOOFIEST face to ever be seen)

“nice work, kid” -arcee

look me in the eyes/optics and tell me, TELL ME she hates him!!!! that’s a look of pride here!

later later on they have very brief interactions, but I can’t help but imagine them being pals!(especially since they’re both jack’s designated vehicles)

I can’t help but imagining these two having fun interactions with their love of quips, messing with jack, bee and bulkhead with lighthearted jabs. or making jokes on the expense of ratchet (“I bet He saw primus transform with his own two optics!”) but then they’ll look behind themselves and see ratchet staring at them and go “😰”

I’d like to think after the events of prime, these two (and wheeljack) they go on lil adventures together with their absence in RID15!

My headcanon is they took care of Airachnid on the moon of Cybertron(remember that? I Do!) and build something there.

or if he became a prime in season 3 she would’ve supported him in his grief, like what she did with miko(pushing down her own(since optimus went Bye bye) to help him express his emotions and focus on what’s important).

If they weren’t in a war, Smokescreen(and bee in extension)would’ve been Optimus’s kid and would be worrying about math exams with ratchet, instead of primus’s test he cursed him with💔

in conclusion, Arcee deeply cares for smokey and wants the best for him like a lil nephew. and Smokescreen sees her as a cool aunt!

Another gorgeous parallel between Gihun and Noeul—

In s2e2, Gihun calls Gayeong on the phone, presumably to hear her voice one last time before he goes back to face the games and near certain death.

Immediately after this scene we see Noeul calling the number on her invitation and burning the drawing Nayeon gave her.

Both characters are on the phone; both characters are symbolically releasing something. Gihun, his chance of coming back alive and being part of Gayeong’s life, being the father he wanted to be; Noeul, nearly all human connection.

Both scenes, to me, draw attention to the grief of losing a daughter.
