I love that they like directly referenced Stoneheart, because I feel like this episode added so much more to that one.

Like, Ivan was the first Akuma. No one knew what was happening or who Hawkmoth was and it wasn’t clear this could happen to anyone experiencing a negative emotion. The whole thing probably sent Ivan’s worries about ending up like his father into over drive, or even that maybe it had only happened to him because of his father, that he was just predisposed to evil. (Which obviously would be proven untrue as more and more of the Parisian public experienced the same thing)

But do you think when Ivan’s dad saw Stoneheart on the news, and then saw it was Ivan, that he was so proud of him for the first time. Did he think this was finally Ivan joining the family buissness? Did he send him a letter from prison, or wherever it is he was, praising Ivan and excitingly going over all the crimes they could do together once he got out.

Do you think he was disappointed once how Akumas work became public knowledge, and when it became clear it wasn’t Ivan’s fault. Do you think he always still kept a closer eye on the news hoping to see Stonehearts unyielding form gracing its front page?
