i was watching my friends history lecture bc she was like “wanna watch my gay class” and how can I say no to that. And like they mentioned the johns committee!! They mentioned how my university was complicit in firing gay professors and faculty!! I’m like happy that they actually owned up to that shit in the intro history class bc yeah ppl aren’t required to take it but it’s an intro course and many students will have watched that! Idk too many institutions ignore the bad they took part in so I’m glad that this history isn’t being pushed under the rug.

Prior to attending my university I had looked up it’s track record with LGBTQ issues and had heard about this stuff already so the info in the video wasn’t shocking to me but my friend was so surprised that they did all that so like I’m glad history is being told.
