if asked nadine does refer to themselves as non-binary, and they love using that flag, and if asked about their sexuality they go by bisexual, and they love using that flag. but ultimately, nadine does not truly care abt labels for anything other than making interactions easier by getting ppl on the same page as them. like, they do not understand their gender any more than they understand geometry (terribly), and they love that abt themself. when it comes to sexuality, it truly comes down to "people are hot" and that's about it. if the world did not revolve around labels the way it does, i think nadine would be completely happy to just walk around and call themself nadine if asked any clarifying questions. (they still do this sometimes). i think, for nadine, when they were a queer teenager especially, labels offered them a place to belong when they had none. it helped them find community. and while they don't find them as necessary later in life, they still use them as they're an important part of their growth and who they are as a person.
