Jester & the Hag 🧁✨

did this for one of my illustration class :) the assignment was to create a narrative illustration of any story of our choosing, so of course I had to go with my all time favorite moment from campaign 2. also fun fact, this piece literally destroyed my old ipad and I had to finally get a new one.... there is still more work I wanna do on this ngl, and I especially want to play around with the background some before I call it super finished and get prints made, but I've already spent 30+ hours on this over the past few days, so I'm taking a well deserved break from it for now :]

Awakenings

In late June 2019 I went on a walk in the middle of the night for a smoke, and I found a 5 m/o black kitten in a thatch of blackberry and wisteria vines.

I took him home, named him Ronan, and made jokes about him being a lil gift from the blackberry fairies (he will still eat blackberries and sit in any bush I let him near).

I meant to post these ages ago and kept forgetting about to.

Crown of Weeds is a zine a made a few years ago inspired by my various trips through graveyards. A lot of the illustrations are directly reference from photos I took or things I've seen. It's very niche but it's one of my favourite things I've ever made and I'm still really proud of it <3

I used to have a small amount of handmade physical copies of it but I sold them at cons/markets pre-pandemic. I'm attending Thought Bubble this year though so I'm thinking of having some printed for that.

This is a piece I drew for my Narrative Illustration class during the Spring '23 semester. I've always had a vague idea of a story about a lioness being exiled from her pride and adopting a tiger cub as her own. This was the first time I ever drew anything of it. I'm probably gonna die again as soon as the Fall semester starts, but at least I have a few weeks left of summer break. And it will be my last semester of school ever again, FINGERS CROSSED.

The White Worm King

A series of illustrations retelling the Danish fairytale 'Kong Lindorm'. The Shepherd's Daughter is tasked by the Red Queen and the Red Prince to find The White Worm King, who's threatening the Red Kingdom. No man has ever been able to slay the beast, and neither does the Shepherd's Daughter - instead she discovers the White Worm King is the banished and lost princess of the Red Kingdom, the twin sister of the Red Prince.

Together, the White Worm King and her Shepherd work to take back what is theirs.

The Librarian and the Haunted Library 📚👻

Sooo… I've had all sorts of spooky/autumn themed ideas that would have been cool for Halloween (still have 'em, still plan to draw 'em one day!), but not the proper time to actually do any of them. SO, on the 31th I was like "You know what, I still wanna do something. I'll just draw a quick and cute thing featuring my beloved gal Delicia and I should have it done by the end of the day." The Marlowes have this cool library at home, with all sorts of books and journals regarding the supernatural (which was the base inspo for this lil drawing), so the plan was to throw a few books in a simple background and maybe a ghoul or two… ya know, make something that gives the spooky library vibe without actually drawing an entire library… and suddenly this whole thing happened. Needless to say, Halloween came and went and here we are now, so… 😂

Anyway, I hope you enjoy demon spawn Delicia and her chubby vampiric cat, Faust, as they give you a tour of a very spooky library. Remember to stay close to them, you never know what (else) lurks within. 📚👁📚

And while you're at it, maybe you'll spot the horror themed Easter Eggs I've sneaked in, 'cuz there are a few. 👁

I really bit off more than I could chew with this one, but somehow, it's finally done. For my comics and graphic narrative midterm project, I made a children's book, "Sally Mandrake Finds a Familiar".
