It was late in the semester at Starfleet Academy, sometime in the 2340s. The cadets were preparing for finals, but tonight, the bar near campus—The Nebula Room—hummed with life. It was one of those rare evenings when formality gave way to quiet camaraderie. The music was soft jazz, with hints of alien rhythm—something from Betazed, maybe.

Among the groups of cadets in crimson and gray sat a figure who always stood slightly apart: Cadet Data, the only android in the Academy. He had studied every piece of human art, every known musical form, and even the many dances of Earth and other Federation cultures. But still, experience was not the same as understanding.

Then she entered: T’Lir, a Vulcan cadet with impeccable grades, sharp wit, and a curiosity about the universe that rivaled even Data’s. She had observed Data in classes—his precision, his logic, his attempts at humor—and found something unexpectedly… calming in his presence.

She approached him with the most Vulcan of invitations:

“Data. I have read that dance enhances non-verbal understanding between individuals. Would you join me in an experiment?”

He tilted his head in that familiar way.

“I would be honored, T’Lir.”

And so they danced.

Her movements were precise, yet graceful. His were exact, yet surprisingly gentle. They matched in a way that was not romantic by human standards, nor purely logical in Vulcan terms. It was something else—connection without confusion, a shared frequency.

They said little, but something passed between them in that bar.

For Data, it was a memory he would store not just in his positronic net but in the recesses of whatever soul might one day grow within him.

For T’Lir, it was the first time she admitted—even privately—that emotion did not always disrupt logic. Sometimes, it enhanced it.

They danced until the music ended.

And in that stillness, among the muted conversations of future officers, the stars outside San Francisco twinkled just a little brighter—perhaps because two minds, made so differently, had found harmony for a moment in time.

All these vessels started off as kitbashes from existing physical models sold commercially. Aside from the Constellation-class Stargazer, all the other TNG ones were barely glimpsed in the aftermath of the Battle of Wolf 359, including the 4-nacelle Melbourne-variant Neula class.

Also the shot I got from defunct Eaglemoss didn't show the baby nacelles so here they are:

The DS9 ones heavily featured the Centaur in one episode, while Curry does a flyby in A Time to Stand. Yeager was usually in stock shots around the station, barely visible.

I'm not convinced that Sisko is right at the end of s6 e11 waltz, he says he saw pure evil in Dukat but I'm not so sure, in episode 11 and the end of episode 6 Dukat is showing symptoms of catatonic schizophrenia (although this is based off my knowledge of history and not medicine)

The first example of this is immediately following Ziyal's death and the Dominion/Cardassian retreat from Terrak Nor (undoubtedly the cause of his condition), he becomes altogether unresponsive to outside stimuli

The second is the most prominent, namely the schizophrenia he experiences throughout waltz, Weyoun representing his failure, Demar (best girl) representing his desire to re take his position at the head of the cardassian union (ironic considering Demar would probably kill him upon his return) and Nerys representing his self hatred and guilt for his actions on bajor

The third is how persuasasable he is, just as Henry VI was convinced by Suffolk and Somerset to go back to war with France, Sisko puts the words right into Dukat's mouth during his grand villain monologue talking about how he will make the bajorans pay

Sisko fully encouraging Dukat to villain monologue at him combined with telling him to act like Nerys, his conscience, isn't there are likley what are responsible for spiral into evil past e11

I'm not saying Dukat isn't pure evil, Sisko saw that he most certainly was, but Sisko is wrong to talk about seeing pure evil when he was the one to encourage and cajole it in Dukat in the first place
