Gokukoku no Brynhildr
7/10
This anime was kind of an explosion of feelings. At first it kind of bored me? But then it gets better when they develop it. I really liked this scince-magic story, and the concept seemed fresh to me. What I think made it so good was the fact that each character adapted to all this witch thing differently so you could see the good and bad options. How they could use each of their powers to win and the fact that every girl had a unique power was a very good choice.
each character had its own charm, and they were all interesting in their own way. There were not many clichés in them, like Murakami, that wasn’t the typical hero and pervert, no, he was a talented kid, who opened many ways of turning tables when fighting and who made every girl feel important even when considering their flaws. And may I say that the romance between Neko and Ryouta was kind of perfect. Like, it wasn’t the fluffy one or the angsty one, it were something in between, so it didn’t wear me out. One of the few couples that made me ‘aww’.
So characters like Kotori or Kana were a need for me, because, well, they made everything more interesting, really. Kana, the badass tsundere who became the hero and Kotori who was the hero from the start were a must. I haven’t read the manga, so I don’t know if they get more or they get less, but I have to say they were my fav, even tho every one had my heart won from the start, really.
That said, I have to admit the anime lost a lot at the end. The story got just too messy. In my opinion thay should have explained everything more and not in the last few episodes. Like I would have liked more story to Neko’s twin, the scientist... That and my own taste gave this anime a 7. I liked it? Yes. I would recommend it? Yes. It’s just not my fav. Even so, the story was good, just needed more development.
thanks for reading
