Hmm I feel like the description of the Neo Somnovum transformation maybe gets a bit muddled? I think Matt's intention was to describe it as the Eyes vaniashing. Because, when they actually pry Molly's body from the city, he definitely still has his tattoos. It's mentioned by both Matt and King after the Greater Restoration:

So whatever's happening with Kingsley's design now, it's something else entirely, and definitely feels like a purposeful attempt to cover them up while he maybe works out his sense of identity

It felt wrong, doing this. I do believe now it's time to take the city back to where it all began. Where the pattern can reach all the minds.

I couldn’t help but to grab my sketchbook and bust out a quick ink drawing of this bastard as soon as his mini appeared on the battlecam, and then decided to throw some colors on it this morning. I also have some stuff done of phase two, but I’m not sure if I want to commit to finishing that one before he’s even shown. Thank you Matt Mercer for giving me the cosmic body horror I’ve always hoped for.

I don’t wanna get my hopes up because there are many reasons why it might not happen but god i want the Mighty Nein to get a cartoon adaptation too. Can you imagine how dunamacy would look animated? And the Avantika fight, the Laughing Hand, Neo-Somnovum? The Happy Fun Ball? THE TOWER?

After everything tonight...coming back to Jester’s tarot reading for Lucien, where “Death means a rebirth. Something must end for something new to begin.” and how it not only plays into Lucien becoming the Neo Somnovum, but also the return of Mollymauk Tealeaf? Lucien had to die in order for Molly to be brought back, reborn amongst his friends.
