First ever ship: I hate how easy this is to answer- Sirius/Remus, from Harry Potter. Marauders-era discovery of Remus's lycanthropy was one of my favorite tropes, and it was the subject of the first fic I ever wrote over on ff.net 😅

Last movie: Oh, hell. I... don't tend to watch a lot of movies? My attention span is shot to shit. Last one I remember is "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves," which was, admittedly, absolutely brilliant- hit all the sweet spots when it came to found family!

Currently reading: a closed and common orbit, by Becky Chambers, and rereading Interesting Times by Terry Pratchett.

Currently consuming: This has just reminded me to get up and make some tea, so in about five minutes, the answer will be tea and Reeses cups <3

Currently craving: ...Reeses cups. This is within my immediate power to fix. And a blanket fort. There is a lot of free furniture on FB Marketplace. This is within my long-term power to fix. I have plans >:3

Three ships: Hmmm. Codywan is obviously a big one for me haha, I'd say they're probably my main ship. The Star Wars brainrot is severe right now, but I'll also say Aziraphale/Crowley from Good Omens (hey, samesies, @shootingstarpilot :D haha) and Spirk (though I am becoming fond of McKirk in AOS specifically as well, after having dabbled in writing that dynamic myself).

First ever ship: Uhhhhhhh fuck. Um. I think??? It would be Magnus/Alec from the Shadowhunter books??? I think the first one I ever actually wrote for, myself, may have been Codywan though, since most of what I made when I first started out was OC and then reader fic. I had a lot of anxiety about trying to manage characterization back then and having one of the protags be a non-canon character felt like less pressure, I guess.

Last song: Holy by King Princess, I think. There's not enough unabashedly horny sapphic music that's by and for sapphic people.

Last movie: My short-term memory is garbage lol, but the last movie I remember watching right now is Hocus Pocus.

Currently reading: I haven't really had the spoons for anything published lately, but I'm currently rereading @fox-trot 's And I Fear Nothing again bc I saw some art they posted from it and it just gives me so many feelings.

Currently consuming: Sprite, and I had a croissant breakfast sandwich a few hours ago. Mourning that I don't think we ever actually took the dumdums we bought the other night out of my roommate's car.

Arkham Knight Harley Quinn Cosplay

This is probably the funnest cosplay I’ve done and definitely one of my favorites.  It originally started as a Halloween costume since I was playing the Batman Arkham Knight video game at the time, but it ended up turning into a cosplay that I modified over time that I still wear today! It first started with an Arkham Knight Harley Quinn costume I ordered online.  It ended up needing A LOT of modifications to look like Harley’s actual outfit in the game. The buckle over the chest wasn’t even attached to the choker so I sewed those two things together. 

After that was finished, I got to work on the tights since the ones that came with the costume weren’t very realistic.  I already had a pair of maroon-colored tights I never wore, so I bought some fabric dye and dyed the other half of them navy to match the costume.  I then took apart a studded pyramid belt and carefully pinned the studs onto each knee of the stocking.  It surprisingly worked and all of the studs stayed in the stockings really well, so I could slip them on and off with ease.  

Next, I decided to turn this old black baseball bat I had into her white/red striped bat.  I painted the entire thing white and glued on leather strips I had pained pink and then glued on metal round beads to the strips to act as the studs on the bat.  I then painted the tips red and pre-outlined the stripes on the body of the bat with pencil and painted in the stripes with red acrylic paint.  She has a few different bats as weapons, but I liked this design the most.  

I bleached my hair and getting it into the ponytails was definitely the hardest part of the cosplay! I bought some spray dye for the red and black hair tips......and here’s the end result!

there’s really only so far i can stretch his whole "but I’m not a Mandalorian" thing before it just gets. old. and it'll still be quite a bit of time before JangObi actually get together, so i worry about getting him a more concrete claim to him being there with the Haat’ade

i DO think it’d be funny if literally anybody but Myles manages to do it. but im also already overwhelmed by how many characters i have to write and am not sure how to give enough space to building a familial bond between them and Obi

A #troubleshooting story in photos. I’m trying to get a brukpocket #workflow output for my pattern design software so I can #design from my #laptop rather than hunched over tables and wrecking my already mashed up back. I have access to a vinyl cutter/plotter through my membership at #Toronto’s best #makerspace @hacklab.to and this is the story of me trying to get my virtual machine to recognize and control the hardware, then making sure that the scaling was proper. Clothing patterns have to print out the correct measurements or it’s not going to work out. This is the stage I’m at now. Thanks to my friend Igor I was able to determine how to get the virtual machine to be able to actually access the usb port, which, oddly enough isn’t automatic. Nothing on virtual machines is! In the end, I plotted out a 1” square to try and figure out how to offset any discrepancies in measurements but they seem to change with every print. Oh well, baby steps. I’m learning a lot about computers while I try to figure things out. A #VirtualMachine is basically a computer within your computer. It’s basically a whole fresh computer walled off from your main computer that you can run jenky software from and not harm the rest of your system. You have to install a whole separate operating system and tell it to actually use the peripherals we take for granted will work automatically on out main machines. Neat, eh? I kinda love this shit but the frustration is real.
