I was thinking a lot about one of the early hacking montages from Hackers that was set to Prodigy's One Love to do a thing of Veil and So Mi going around NC hacking stuff. In this case they're messing with a Maelstrom access point somewhere near the NID docks because why the hell not?
I'd have added a few extra Netrunners in for the full Hackers bit but I'm dedicated to the SongV power couple.
And of course Skippy is there too.

MIRA DURING THE EVENTS OF 77
CORPO-RAT
Being assigned to NetWatch’s patrol route which primarily watches corporate activity, the murder of the European Space Council becomes a case of interest for Mira. Due to the gravity of the case, and the fact that the crime took place over multiple continents it involves a share of agents from numerous facilities. The NC branch of NetWatch of course is initially unaware as to who might be involved, however monitored internal movements within Arasaka give them suspicions. The timing of Abernathy’s move against Jenkins is enough for NetWatch to at the very least conduct a series of interviews.  As usual, a company like Arasaka will likely find a way to deny connection. Though, such a brazen act in a time period post-RED will certainly garner attention.
THE HEIST
Mira is a colleague of Brie Deal, both of which operate within the same geographical location as well as the same area of Netspace. Whilst Brie was dealing with Evelyn they state they are going about the transaction through a channel of standard procedure - thus the deal was no secret within the agency. Mira was tasked with gathering intel on the validity of Evelyn Parker’s claims and otherwise fact-checking the provided specifications on the Relic device.
When news of the heist goes sideways, NetWatch keeps their eyes on Arasaka but enforces their operations in Pacifica as Evelyn mentions the Voodoo Boys in her email to special agent Brie Deal.
Mira continues to watch for abnormalities within and between the corporate data fortresses downtown, as well as tracking netrunning activity of interest in the Haywood and Downtown areas.
I WALK THE LINE - V SIDES WITH THE VDB
Mira is quickly called to provide backup for operations in Pacifica, primarily to prepare to ambush the VDB as planned. The variable unplanned for was V’s commitment to their initial deal with Plecide. The location of all major NetWatch facilities on the continent is exposed to the VDB netrunners, leading to numerous causalities - including Mira.
NetWatch sends a reinforcement team from London, but they arrive only really in time to conduct proper clean-up protocols
I WALK THE LINE - V SIDES WITH NETWATCH.
Things go according to plan, Mira is barely involved in the operation as things go smoothly and further reinforcements aren’t required. She is, however, present in the operation to ambush the VDB netrunners after their trek beyond the Blackwall.
She’d have preferred standard protocol in this position; however her superior makes a convincing argument. Point one being, that the NCPD has abandoned Pacifica that there is no enforceable law to follow within Pacifica, geographically. Point two, that the VDB had very clear intentions of harming NetWatch operatives as well as placing civlians in danger by traversing the Blackwall.
PATH OF GLORY / DONT FEAR THE REAPER / BELLY OF THE BEAST
Assuming V did not side with the VDB and Mira is still alive, Mira will be involved in a NetWatch operation to secure Arasaka data in the midst of the raid on Arasaka tower. NetWatch operatives will be actively poking and prodding the Arasaka data fortress, until V reaches Mikoshi.
Mira and her colleagues arrest several Arasaka agents during the chaos of the coup and the raid, however many more are executed before NetWatch can get to them by corporate competitors such as Militech.
THE DEVIL ENDING
Mira and her base of operations are quietly relocated, fearing the new dawn of Arasaka following the success of the Relic project NetWatch decides to scale down operations in the meantime. Their eyes are still on the Relic chip, however they have their hands tied with reinforcing The Blackwall

💡BG3 Companions in Cyberpunk 2077 //AU
Tumblr media
just a fun lil personal HC i did at 3 am. Read each's quick stories below cut!
Aight here goes, sorry for the mess
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
💡Gale being a netrunner on a borrowed time since his cyberware is eating himself alive. His fixer (while also being his ex-lover) offered only one solution to his demise; sacrificing his corrupted virtu to temporarily cripple the Blackwall
💡Astarion, once was a big-hit lawyer and disappeared for a decade, re-emerges as one of the left hand for a big name in politic circles. Rumor is this politician used a few trusted of his people to 'house' an important experimental cyberwear to later be taken back and improved…
💡Wyll, son of Mayor Ravengard. While father wishes for him to continue down the politics, Wyll thinks it's more of a direct help to jump down on the streets directly, thus becoming an Edgerunner. Rumor has it he had dealings with people within Militech that granted him techs
💡Shadowheart, One of Arasaka's top agent. Her, being under Arasaka's teachings and guidance has little to none care for her selfish needs--that is until she was disconnected from their mainframe. Tasting the freedom and truth of her past, SH wanted to uncover all of it
💡Laezel was trained, Sponsored and backed by the Militech, she aimed to be the strongest living weapon of all times. Though, things didn't go smoothly once her implant was caught malfunctioned. She aim to regain control of her might, and refrains from being thrown away by the megacorp
💡Karla was a bodyguard of an NC political figure, then was betrayed and sold to a megacorp as a subject of experiment, and eventually broke out from there. The tech she gained DID enhance her abilities, but at the cost of it overheating and eventually gave her health problems
and a little bonus, my own Tav
Tumblr media
💡Mira's family had been loyal to Arasaka for decades, she had also fell into the corporation hole. Until everything fell apart, Arasaka revoked everything and her family ruined by the megacorp, she sought other ways of survival and making her own name in Night City.
And of course, my durge Ian who's probably far mor familiar to some of you in cyberpunk than in BG3..
Tumblr media
💡Ian, an Ex-Netwatch Netrunner. Retired from NW due to a lifethreatening incident involving a megacorp and now he only netrun for his small group (with Zil & Fiona) to quietly plan revenge

NETWATCH RAPPORT - 20740512 : Agent 44421-N - SARTO, VIRGILE - had a panic attack during deep net session. The circumstances surrounding this incident are not yet known. The most likely hypothesis is an attack by a rogue AI, causing the system to malfunction or even hallucinate. Sarto woke up, started shaking, ripped out his cable, started screaming and calling for help. He fell from his chair, crawling before falling unconscious to the floor. Sarto has been under psychiatric care since his arrival at NetWatch, and his doctor has clearly indicated that he is being treated for his anxiety and depression, but that his regular use of drugs and alcohol is not helping the situation, nor is his break-up with Evelyn Parker. Rest day allowed: 1

More Kerberos ‼️ he’s so fun to draw!! Plus some info abt him I’m very obsessed with him rn :p
Kerberos isn't his real name, of course, just a netrunner alias, but his real name is nearly impossible to dig up. He's made sure of it. Once upon a time, he worked for Militech, as a part of the team attempting to revive Cynosure. While attempting to breach Cynosure's datafortresses, Kerberos was noticed by a rogue AI that had broken from containment and was brutally attacked, brought to the edge of death before being hospitalized. But he was hardly safe there. The revival was ultimately a failure, and Netwatch soon caught wind of it all. In a man bound to a hospital bed, they saw an easy target, but Kerberos wasn't going down without a fight. In his already dire state, he heavily overclocked his cyberdeck to kill the agents sent to assassinate him. A second brush with death, and yet he persisted. Netwatch backed off, and Kerberos spent the next 3 years recovering and dodging further assassination attempts until Dogtown was founded. A perfect opportunity. Among Hansen's ranks, Kerberos found himself invaluable with his knowledge of Cynosure, though the knowledge alone was all he would offer, refusing to be physically involved with anything the Colonel had planned.
Few have ever seen his face behind the mask. His two brushes with death left him looking less than presentable, and the shame and fear of his past have left him wishing he could leave that face behind all together.
Definitely expect to see more of him soon lol

10,30 for del x vee pls :3???
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tysm for the asks <;3 @themightiestpotato and @caffeinatedrogue
Sorry these took so long! Answers below!
10: What was their last big fight? What did they learn from it?
Delamain's mainframe was sieged by some rogue Netwatch agents. He locked Vee out to protect her, but Vee brute forced herself in just in time to take the full brunt of an attack that would have left Delamain extremely vulnerable. It almost zeroed her, but thankfully she survived- even if all her cyberware was burnt to an absolute crisp.
It's one of the only times Vee and Delamain were actively furious with one another. But in the end, Delamain realized that he needed to trust Vee when she wanted to help, and Vee had to understand that she was not the expendable merc she'd spent most of her life as.
15: What habits or characteristics have they picked up from each other?
Delamain has relaxed quite a bit and seeks to do things for his own enjoyment rather than stick to the strictures of his very rigid subprotocols. He's started watching tv shows and even enjoys some of them. (Which always shocks his clientele when he's up to date on the big serials).
Oh, and he's started adding gold accents to his getup.
Vee, on the other hand, has learned to be much more strict. As a merc (and a cheap one at that), she was the epitome of 'beggars can't be choosers.' Delamain taught her to be a chooser, to be a little entitled with the quality of the clothing she wears or the food she eats. She's realized that sometimes saving money for your own material benefit really does increase mental health in the long run.
And her lipstick is now the Iconic Delamain Blue.
30: Where is their relationship the strongest?
Their biggest strength is not just in their relationship but in their partnership. They understand one another really well, so there's almost never any friction between them, and what seems like diametrically opposing traits actually support the other really well. They just fit really well together.

My little dream, working the machine... Soon, like a wave, empires will fall.
listened to emipire ants by gorillaz- for the first time in years... the second half of the song (sung by little dragon) gave me an idea for a a vp set,
Viridian deep in the net- running the web- working the machine. Bryce Mosely gave her a job that paid well- one netwatch coudln't do by itself- needing to call upon freelance netrunners... So the famed Arasaka's red rabbit steps in.. Jackie by her side- watching her work. Comforting her if she dives to deep and has to jack out just for a moment-- His presence a calm in the storm. Jackie knows his love must deep dive the net alone- he can't go with her- but he can be with her body- guarding her- protecting her.

Another random thing I just remembered, (spoilers for Phantom Liberty, ish, and for my Sun-Ending fic, ish xD)...
I found a shard in Dogtown where the author speculated if the Blackwall even still exists (it does, at least at the time of reaching out to Alt), or if the wild AIs from beyond are long free (having been freed by Netwatch, Arasaka, etc, or having freed themselves) and "among us" in some way shape or form.
*puts on tinfoil hat*
Now, with my noob understanding and knowledge of the deeper Cyberpunk lore re: the Net and Cyberspace etc etc, I think yeah, absolutely they are. And I think Mr. Blue-Eyes might be one. Johnny says during the final convo with Jefferson Peralez that he thinks, whoever the people mind controlling him are, they're much more powerful than any corporation etc, I think he does mention wild AIs even.
*puts on second, comically big tinfoil hat*
And since Mr. B is right across on the balcony and one shady mf, I think either he's just a super convincing humanoid cyborg housing an AI or he is human but controlled or in constant contact with one or several of them. And I think he's not the only one. There's the whole shady thing with Garry the prophet and the two men in black, and maybe it's all nothing. But idk. I dont think they necessarily need to have sth to do with Mr. B, and maybe they are just "regular" corpo agents of some sort.
Idk xD been sort of rotating this idea of "what if Mr. B is a host for a wild AI" in my head for ages and that one random shard got me thinking about it again, wondering about how it could work, if you, as a corpo agent or Netrunner or whatnot could let out a select AI through the Blackwall, if there's other means and ways, etc etc.

Hey Myers, guess who's back?
I'm now screwing around with Songbird's 2079 appearance for Chorus, and then turning them into NPV appearances for the Nibbles to NPCs mod.
Thinking of giving So Mi some new outfits and maybe a new hairdo so that she isn't immediately recognised by every FIA agent and NetWatch operative in Night City.

WIP WHENEVER
Tagged by @ghostoffuturespast! (Thanks! I'll never pass up an opportunity to share more WIPs.)
This time I'm going to share a bit from Chapter Two of "Beyond the Event Horizon," which is called New Future Weapon.
Summary of BTEH: During the years V spent in Mikoshi, the Human-AI war raged. Alt Cunningham breached Mikoshi, destroying the engrams contained therein. All except one. Arasaka can only speculate as to why Alt didn’t destroy V, but since she represented the only remaining trace of the Secure Your Soul program, they put her into a protective stasis mode. Now it’s become clear that the rogue AIs are winning… and Netwatch needs a new weapon. V is awakened as a superpowered android who can effortlessly slip in and out between reality and the Net. She’s Netwatch’s desperate final assault on the rogue AIs. And Arasaka’s most valuable piece of property. With the help of familiar faces such as Goro Takemura and NetWatch agent Bryce Mosley, V’s mission is to stop the rogue AI revolution and win the war for humanity. Something inside her is missing, but she’s far beyond caring.
From Ch 2 - New Future Weapon:
V moved swiftly through the group of MaxTac operatives, looking for the one in charge. MaxTac datafiles stored in her memory told her his name was Officer Theo Moss and that he was a tall, muscular man with a shockingly low amount of cyberware. In her days, MaxTac had been known for their particular proclivity for chrome, and many of their operatives had been reformed cyberpsychos. Had that changed in recent years? She could understand how the rogue AI attacks could have set off anti-cyberware sentiment in the general public, but for MaxTac to send nearly organic officers out into the field… if that was what humanity had stooped to, she wasn't surprised they were losing this war.
She located Officer Theo Moss kneeling on the concrete, in the process of restraining one of the terrorists she’d knocked out. She walked up behind him.
“Officer Moss,” she began, “I’m Valerie Locke, more commonly known as V. I'm with Arasaka.”
“I know who you are,” he responded tersely. He stood up and turned to face her. His pants were covered in dust, but he didn't seem interested in brushing it off. His attention was focused solely on her.
"Do we know who they were?" she asked.
"Not yet,” He responded, crossing his arms. “Rogue AI sympathists, evidently. No details beyond that. Records on them are wiped or inaccessible—faces, fingerprints, cyberware manufacturer codes, everything. We're bringing the survivors in for questioning."
“I'd like to be present for that.”
“I'm afraid that won't be possible.”
She gazed at him impassively. “And why not?”
“Because rogue AI attacks and related incidents in Night City are under the jurisdiction of the NCPD. Arasaka has no right to involvement here, and neither do you.”
“I’m the one who prevented this attack.”
“Yes, you are.” He uncrossed his arms, revealing the MaxTac logo on his chest. “Right in the nick of time too. I'm sure we're very lucky Arasaka’s androids are so punctual.”
“Are you insinuating something, Officer?” She cocked her head to one side and smiled at him politely.
“Very perceptive of you. Must be those super senses they built you with.” He stepped closer to her. Her new body was the same size as her old one, so he towered over her. If he thought that was an indication of any sort of physical advantage, he was even stupider than he seemed. “But let's not beat around the bush. I'll say it plainly. You aren't human.”
She laughed. “I'm exactly as human as Saburo Arasaka.”
“All the more reason not to trust any of you.”
Not tagging anyone this time, since I just recently tagged a bunch of people.

Meeting The Voodoo Boys, another chunk of Johnny's memory, Alt, and A Promise
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vilem went to the Chapel that Mr. Hands told him to go to in order to meet with an informant of the Voodoo Boys. A funeral is a strange place to meet someone, but Vilem has met with people in stranger places. He was told to go to a butcher shop to meet with someone named Placide.
Tumblr media
Placide is not a talkative man.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vilem is lead into the HQ and told about the gig he's gonna be hired for, but not before being forced to be scanned. He has to infiltrate the GIM and hack a truck. No biggie, only he has to sneak past a bunch of Animals who have taken residence in the place.
Tumblr media
Here goes nothin...
Tumblr media
Sneaking past those lunkhead Animals was no problem. Hacking the van was cake, until Netwatch decided to interfere. Now Vilem had to hunt down an agent.
Tumblr media
The Netwatch Agent, Bryce Mosley, offers Vilem a deal. He doesn't kill him and Bryce not only lets Brigitte and her netrunners go, but also gets rid of the malware Placide put in his system. Johnny didn't like it, but Vilem didn't like being double-crossed more so he took the deal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Placide was pissed, but didn't interfere with Vilem talking to Brigitte. She told him why she needed the chip, and Vilem told her that it was in his head and had to stay there or he would die. She claimed she could help, but she needed a bit of the chip to talk to Alt.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vilem agreed to help her so she could help him. Both went into the net, where Brigitte told him they would need to elicit an emotional reaction from Johnny via a memory. Another dive into the Rockerboy's life...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2015. A post-show fight with Kerry, who Vilem noted was damn cute at that age, even if he was pissed at Johnny.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A romp with Alt in the dressing room.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A post-coital fight, followed by an ambush outside that concluded with Johnny's guts being stabbed and Alt being thrown into a van.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Johnny woke up at a ripperdoc with the man who dragged him there, Lyle Thompson, a media. He told Johnny that he and Alt were supposed to have met that night and that Alt had been taken by Arasaka. Johnny was livid, wanting to get her back. So he enlists in the help of Rogue, his ex and her associate Santiago.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Johnny concocts a plan. Samurai incite a riot outside Arasaka Tower, providing enough of a distraction for Johnny, Rogue, Santiago and Thompson to sneak in. They clean house, but the plan fails. Johnny unplugs Alt from the net, killing her by accident.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The memory ends, Vilem calls Johnny out on his lies and then Brigitte reveals the truth. She had no intention of helping Vilem at all, but needed him to go beyond the blackwall to talk to Alt. Vilem reluctantly agrees as Brigitte and her netrunners are all killed by Netwatch. Alt managed to get Vilem and Johnny out of harm's way so they can talk. She agrees to help separate Johnny and Vilem if they can get her into Mikoshi. With a plan in mind, Vilem is shot back into reality, where he fights his way out of the underground, forced to kill Placide and the rest of the VDBs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vilem has another relic attack, one so bad it renders him unconscious. He wakes up on the balcony of the Pistis Sofia hotel in Pacifica. Johnny dragged him there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They go into a room, one where Johnny said he hid out in after he deserted. Vilem finds his dog tags. Then and there Johnny states that he will leave Vilem's head, even if that means dying in the process. The dog tags were his way of making that promise. But first, Vilem had to do something for him. Help him get Smasher once and for all, and enlist the help of Rogue to do it. Vilem, feeling like he can trust Johnny a little bit more than before, agrees to this exchange.
