SO, I made my own tragic legendary sea cookie since that seems to be the theme for devsis in between comms-

Beneath the dark, forgotten waves of the west sea, amongst a once bustling and colorful coral forest is it's sleepy monarch; Grand Reef Cookie. A jolly, yet strangely complaisant individual who spends his frail, doddering years tending to the decaying remains of his children's once proud homeland.

They have all left, of course. Some more hesitant than others to leave their loving father's side. But, Grand Reef Cookie was insistent of their retreat. That, unlike him, they were not bound to their namesake in soul and body. That the ocean held much more plentiful and vibrant sights that were not to be wasted fretting over a forgotten relic of the past. That doesn't stop many from visiting though... Bringing with them trinkets and offerings to help alleviate his wistful loneliness.

But, unlike some of his children, Grand Reef doesn't harbor any resentment for cookies. It's just not in his nature to harbor any hatred for... Well, anything, really. A reef is meant to be a nurturing and peaceful place for even the most ruthless apex predator, to be unwelcoming and unkind to even one creature would go against his very nature. ________

Why be a betrayed and/or volatile tragic, when you can be a sweet, hospice patient kind of tragic? That, and sea pollution and global warming tragic, I mean it's right there-

I think in the george biopic The Thing should act as the personification of george's inferiority complex and constantly berate him for his flaws and insufficiencies and also speak in a funny muppet voice

okay i know you probably have enough drawing ideas for giant k but i just had this idea invade me.

you know how in snow white (not just the disney version) she pushes together the beds and sleeps on like 3 or more of them sideways? anyway giant k sleeping on 3 beds pushed together. and now i'm just picturing giant k as snow white and everyone else as the various dwarves

hopefully I'll end up being historically coherent this time lmao (I'm eyeing Cosmé Tura because there are some interesting things in his pieces but I'm trying my best to stay in Venice for Josie *sprays water @ Estensi*). Also I'm tempted to change the pose and Leli may be seen from behind because, um, archer back? Archer back. I mostly see pics in which she's thin and dainty but like Give this girl those luscious back muscles she deserves pls

More outfits for the troubled child. So far these are my least favorite but! We keep going until I can replace the other document in full since it needs an update

Cookies and Comics

“Hey Zane?” 

“Hmmm?”

“Did you know you’re all glowy inside?” 

Zane laughed at the muffled question, carefully rolling little balls of cookie dough and placing them on the baking tray exactly two inches apart. “Jay has mentioned it before yes. Why do you ask, is it too bright?”

“No,” came the nonchalant reply, “Actually it’s perfect comic reading light. I was just wondering.” 

A smile tugged at Zane’s lips as he felt Lloyd stretch and flop onto his back against the pliable silicone lining of his ‘stomach’. It technically was nothing like the organ it resembled, only being good for storage really, but due to its placement and interior his brothers had all taken to calling it such. Not that he minded; the term was endearing, if not entirely accurate. “Comic reading? Well in that case, I simply must ask what sort adventure Fritz Donnegan has gone off on now.” He tilted his head, now counting out the balls of dough to make sure he’d rolled out the right amount. It wouldn’t do if he ended up making too few. 

Lloyd’s smile practically beamed through his metallic chest plate. “He’s going to a lava planet to fight the evil Volcano Lord!” He all but squealed, kicking his feet excitedly against Zane’s silicone interior. “Which is gonna be hard cause he lost the cannon he got from that water planet back in issue 37 to a galactic space beetle in issue 53, but I KNOW he’ll think of something! He always does!” There was a heavy sigh as Lloyd paused in his rant, shifting onto his side. “When I get bigger, I wanna be just like him.” 

Zane chuckled, opening the oven and gently placing the tray in as the preheated air toasted his skin. “You know what Lloyd? I think you’ll be even better.”

the sheer number of female characters in orv and the depth of every single one of them is rapidly ruining me for 90% of media. here i am just bopping along not even realizing how resigned i am to a 3:1 ratio of men to women in most media and then orv hits me like a freight train. like okay now i have standards. everybody else get on this level.

Ok. Real question. How many people Actually have believed in Santa? Bc I never did, mostly bc my dad never bothered with the entire pretense, so the whole concept is just. Really fucking strange to me

Putting an actual poll bc I feel like I'm losing my mind a bit thinking about how apparently widespread it is. Like. It's just so... weird? Why is this the thing people have popularized? It makes no sense.

hello! quick question, i know this is very soon after you posted the comic of young lime trying to bully mochi, and i’m sorry if a question like this has been asked before, but when mochi sees the candy bits and is able to recognize what spells they could be used in and the effects they have, is that from studying magic a lot or is it like a natural identification ability/instinct that she has? thank you!! i hope you have a good day :)

oh thats a great question actually!!!! it comes from studying!!!!

as a kid she was already trying to be a very diligent witch-to-be!! she would spend a lot of time with her mom while she was making spells, so between reading a lot of spellbooks + hanging out when her mom was making potions + wanting to be like her mom, shes good at spotting things that could be used in spells even from an early age!!

(that being said, as a kid she still messed up a lot on the right ingredients. shed bring home random items and be like "I got us spell ingredients!!" and tiramisu would be like "Oh!! Thanks sweetie!!" and didnt have the heart to tell her that whatever she brought home was some useless piece of grass or something jkldj)

Work things:

we were invited to speak at a charity event in a sorority house but it was actually just a fucking rager. Absolutely wild. I think they forgot we were coming. I was the only one who showed up on time. I was there alone in this house party for twenty minutes with nothing but my wits and the dog. They just let me in and told me to hang out and let the girls meet the dog. We never did actually lecture about our nonprofit. My 80 year old boss showed up and was like “oh god what is happening” when she found me sitting on the front lawn with the dog and all the girls and all I could do is shrug and say, “you told me to come here” and she was like “this isn’t a charity event” and IT TOOK EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO NOT SAY, “No shit.”
