Simon keeps a comfortable distance at first. He knows you’re interested in him, he knows he was the one who asked you out on a date, but despite all this, he just can’t get himself to let you close. So he keeps the dates simple, like going to watch a movie or having lunch at a fast food restaurant, maybe–and that’s a rare occasion–watching something with you at home.
You try to make a move on him, you want to go beyond occasional reserved kisses, but he acts like he didn’t pick up on the signs. But he does; he knows perfectly well what you want from him, but he’s not ready to give it to you yet. That would make your relationship serious and he’s not planning to let that happen.
Deep down he knows it’s a problem he’d have to face eventually. So three months into your strange relationship he visits the psychologist the military always sends him to and asks for the specialist’s opinion. Is it because of his job? Is it because of his family? Is he just afraid he would lose you too? He doesn’t get the answer he’s looking for, so he goes home and tries to come up with a solution himself.
The next time he goes on a mission, things go south pretty fast. He gets a bullet in his side and a cracked rib, so he has to stay in the hospital for a few days. On day two he begins to wonder if he should call you. He doesn’t think it’s any of your business, but you’re his girlfriend, maybe he should tell you about this. The next day he gets ready to call you, but he just can’t get himself to push the call button. It’s only on day four that he starts a video call.
You're worried, he can see that. You try not to show it, but even through the small screen of a phone he can see the physical signs. He's good at reading people and you're an open book to him. It kind of warmed his heart to know you cared about him so much, but at the same time it was scaring the hell out of him.
How could he end this relationship before you drowned in it? How could he break up with you carefully, making sure you don't get hurt?
When he returns home, he's ready for the big conversation. He would make it quick, straight to the point, and he would assure you it's not you, it's him. Because he’s the problem. He's the one who can't deal with commitment.
“We need to talk, love,” he begins, immediately regretting adding the pet name. But it comes so naturally when he looks at you that he can't do anything to stop himself.
He watches as you let out a sigh and sit on the couch, patting the empty space next to you. But he refuses because he knows he might change his mind the moment he smells your favorite perfume you picked just for him, and he also knows he would confess his undying love for you if he looked into your eyes from up close.
Over an hour later he’s already home, the sight of tears running down your face filling his mind as he lies on the couch. He wishes he didn't have to do this. He wishes he was strong enough to stick around, to be the man you always wanted him to be.
But he's not a good person. He had to break your heart to protect you from the harm his fucked up life could bring to you. He had to leave before he caused permanent damage.
Little did he know you were pregnant with his child. If he had known…

Daddy's Boy-Part Three//t.c.
Tumblr media
Information: little bit of angst, and lots of fluff
You kept your phone close at all times that evening after getting home from work. Theo asked about his dad when you picked him up from daycare, when you got home, while you were making dinner, when you were eating dinner together, and he even took a break from playing in his room to ask about him once more.
"He promised he would call, Theo, but he’s working. So you just have to be patient." you had told the anxious three-year-old.
It did feel like ages for you as well as you waited to hear the phone and Timmy's voice on the other end of it. You felt yourself falling for him all over again. You had no way of stopping it, nor did you really want to.
You were beginning to worry that it would be passed Theo's bedtime by the time Timmy called and he would miss talking to his father.
Time dragged on, and bedtime came. Theo was obviously upset that he did not get to talk to his daddy. Meeting him and playing with him the day before was like a whole new beginning for the young boy.
You told your son that you were sorry, but that you were sure Daddy just got caught up with his job.
"What job does Daddy have?" Theo asked as you helped him into bed.
"Well," you decided to tell him the truth, as he would find it out eventually, "he makes movies."
"Like superheroes?"
"Kind of, yeah. Um, he pretends to be other people in movies. It's called acting. Your dad is an actor."
"Wow, that's cool." Theo smiled, "I wish he came to play today."
"You'll see him again soon, I promise. Daddy loves you, bubs." you then kissed your little boy's forehead. "Get some sleep, okay? I'll see you in the morning."
"Okay. Goodnight, Momma."
You watched him turn onto his left side, his long lashes fluttering closed. You were instantly reminded of Timmy sleeping the same way, on the same side, facing you in the bed. He would get comfortable and then pull you into his chest, holding you all night long. You always slept so well when you were with Timmy.
Timmy loved to cuddle, and so did his son. It was so crazy to you how alike they really were, even without being in each other's lives. It was as if they were in sync no matter what.
You left Theo's room, hoping that Timmy would still call. You hoped he would call and make plans to come hang out with his son soon.
But that call never came. You were shocked that you hadn't heard anything from him, not even a text, before you went to bed. He had seemed so eager to talk to Theo again. Your heart sank, thinking that he didn't mean it. Those old feelings of being unwanted came to you as you tossed and turned in your sleep that night.
This is what you wanted to avoid all along. This sadness, this feeling of being alone, none of it was what you wanted for your child.
You decided to invite happy thoughts to your mind. You knew Timmy, he had no malice in his heart. He wouldn't ever hurt anyone on purpose. You were sure that he would have an explanation for tonight.
…..
The next morning, you had a text message from your son’s father:
I am so sorry! Please tell Theo I didn’t mean to miss our call. Just call me when you wake up and I will explain everything.
You didn’t type out a response, you called him, eager to hear what he had to say. You tried to make your disappointment in him subside.
“Hey, I’m sorry about last night.” Timmy answered, “My meetings ran over into the evening and I just got home and crashed. I was so exhausted.”
“Okay, but that’s not an excuse, Timmy.” you did sympathize with him, for sure. He was still extremely new to the parenting thing. But you also wanted to be firm with him, because this was a serious matter, and he needed to really understand that.
“I know it’s not. But can you give me another chance to make it up to you and Theo? Please?” he was really trying, you knew that. He only wanted to make things right.
“Of course you can have another chance. Um, are you busy later today? You can come with me to pick him up from daycare.”
“No, I’m not busy. I’d love to do that!”
“Okay, great. Just send me your address and I’ll pick you up after I get off work?”
“Sounds perfect. I can’t wait to see him. Bye, y/n.”
“Bye, Timmy.”
…….
“So, I talked to Timothée-I mean, your daddy and he said he was so sorry about missing your call last night, but he’s gonna be there with me to pick you up from daycare.” you said to your son as you were ready to walk out of the door together.
"My daddy is gonna pick me up! Yaaay! I so excited!" Theo cheered.
You giggled, "Yep, he's excited to see you too."
The rest of the day was rather uneventful, and then finally it was time to pick Timmy up. He was waiting for you outside his apartment building. He smiled when he saw you pull up.
He opened the passenger side door and hopped into your car. "Hey, how was your day?" he asked. His bubbly demeanor was intact as ever.
"Oh it was good. Kinda boring."
"Same here. Had some phone calls and emails, but nothing major. Did you tell Theo I was coming?" he asked, looking over at you as you put the car in drive and took off.
"Yes, I told him. He was super excited. He even said so." you giggled.
"Good, so he's not upset with me?"
"No. But I think you and I should talk about some things later, like, if you would eventually like to keep him overnight and things like that." You glanced over at him and he nodded immediately.
"Yeah, I'd love that. You're right, we do have a lot to discuss. This is all so new to me still."
"I know it is, and I want to help you with the process as much as I can. I can tell that you really want to be in his life, and I want us to be successful coparents. Theo deserves the best."
"I agree."
.......
You lead the way with Timmy into the gathering of other parents at the daycare center waiting to pick their children up as well.
"Oh, there he is." you nodded ahead, spotting Theo as he sat at a small table with a sweet looking little red-haired girl. You then noticed that Theo was holding hands with the girl.
"What-uh, what's going on there? Why is he holding some girl's hand?" Timmy asked, frowning.
"I think that is Everly, his little girlfriend." you said, looking at his face for a reaction.
Timmy was clearly taken aback, "Girlfriend?!" His voice was rather loud and a few parents glared over at the two of you.
"Keep your voice down, Timmy." you warned him in hushed tones.
"Sorry." he whispered, then returned his voice to a softer, indoor one. "I just don't know how to feel about my three-year-old having a girlfriend.
You laughed, "It's harmless, Timmy. They’re just little kids. And she's sweet. She and Theo play so well together."
Timmy sighed, all serious, "Yeah, well I don't think I had a girlfriend that young."
You shook your head, giggling, "You're ridiculous."
"Okay, parents, you may collect your children!" called out one of the daycare teachers.
Theo was one of the first kids to come out, and he yelled, "Daddy!" as he ran into Timmy's arms.
"Hey buddy!" Timmy sang as he picked up his son into a warm embrace.
You couldn't help but smile at the sight of the two of them. They were like two halves of the same soul. Seeing your son so happy made your heart warm, but seeing Timmy acting so soft and carefree with your child made you melt.
You all went out for pizza because Theo told his daddy that that was his favorite food. Afterwards, they played for hours at home.
For some reason, Theo wanted to bring his basketball hoop into the living room. You said, "Okay, as long as you're careful and don't break anything."
You thought that maybe he wanted you to see him and his dad playing. Like he wanted you to be apart of it too. You could see how delighted Theo was to play with Timmy. He'd never had a male figure to play these games with. He also loved the challenge of someone bigger than him trying to block the hoop when he would shoot the ball.
After playing basketball for awhile, Theo wanted to play with his building blocks, so he and Timmy dragged his big box of blocks into the living area as well. You got a kick out of their antics.
They had built a rather impressive castle together by the time it got dark outside. "And that's where the princess lives." Theo said, pointing to the highest point of the pretend castle. "She has a pet dragon that lives outside the castle."
"Oh, does the dragon protect the princess?" asked Daddy Timothee.
"Yes, it does! He breathe fire at anyone who tries to hurt the princess."
You smiled at how animated your son could be. But he came by it honestly, as he was Timothee Chalamet's offspring.
"Theo tonight is bath night, okay?" you said, reminding him.
"Okay." said the three-year-old. He looked down, disappointed about playtime with dad coming to an end.
........
But Theo's chipper mood returned when Timmy told him he could stay to help him with his bath. Theo put his little shark bathrobe on after dried off and Timmy offered to brush his damp, curly hair.
You sat on the toilet lid, as Timmy kneeled down to his son's height to comb through the tangled locks on his head.
Theo groaned as the brush tugged on his hair.
"Yeah, I know that hurts buddy, I'll be more gentle." Timmy squinted his eyes, as he became more focused on the rats in Theo's hair. He made shorter, slower strokes with the brush, combing throught the curls thoroughly, so Theo wouldn’t feel any pulling.
You realized that Timmy had understood Theo's hair texture better than anyone else ever had because it was the same as his own.
“Okay, all done.” Timmy announced, patting Theo on the head.
You let Timmy put Theo to bed. The little one was actually pretty tired after the long day, and didn’t fight going to bed at all.
You waited for Timmy in the kitchen. You both knew that a discussion was needed.

falling asleep on the couch waiting for matthew to come home after his game on valentine’s day (not sad) <3
february prompts | matthew tkachuk x reader
Tumblr media
the door slamming shut is what woke you out of your light sleep. the lull of the monotoned hockey commentators voices is what put you to sleep after watching matthew's game. like always you tried your best to stay awake when he walked through the door, but also like always you fell asleep. you were confident that one of these days you would actually stay up long enough to greet him when he walks through the door, but you're not sure when that day will be.
"sorry baby, didn't mean to slam the door like that." he leans over the back of the couch to give you a kiss, but with his weight going forward he ends up falling over the couch on top of you. with a cough you try and help him not roll over onto the floor, pulling his arms so that he is completely laying on top of you now. "didn't mean to fall on you either."
he kisses your cheek, but since he's here he might as well lay his head on your chest, and tuck his arms underneath you too. "you did good tonight, looked like you felt better too."
out of pure habit your hand found it's way to his curly hair as if it had a mind of it's own. twirling your fingers in it and making it even more curly, more tangly. "horrible reffing though," you added to your sentence.
"thank you, oh my god if i could i woulda shoved em in the boards," matthew sighed, grabbing the remote off the coffee table in front of him and finding a movie on hulu to watch.
"well you can, but you won't be playing hockey for a while if you do." he laughs and gets up to grab a blanket, wrapping it around him like a child before getting back with you on the couch.
"yeah but," he gets in a more comfortable position for the both of you with a couple grunts, "i'd get to spend more time with you." he kisses your neck while closing his eyes.
"matthew are you about to fall asleep on me?" you asked, combing your fingers through his hair while he sighs in content, a faint smile on his lips. he hums and shakes his head, wrapping one of his arms around you tighter.
"yes, i am. happy valentines day, by the way." you kiss the top of his head and shift your body once more before closing your eyes.
"happy valentines day matty."

I’d love to make this a series cause I’m in love with a good friends to lovers trope.
Tumblr media
Mike had always been a bit of a mess. All of the time that you've known him, this has never changed. You can recall times on the playground of boys calling him names for his sensitivities. How were they to know the gravity of his situation? How were you to know? But you always felt called to stand up for him either way.
So you'd hound them off. You'd grab his hand and pull him off the dirt and to a quiet corner of the playground. The two of you would sit on the wooden border, picking at the grass and watching the other kids play.
His sensitivities would quickly turn to a certain hardness that you'd never fully come to understand, even in your late twenties. He'd open up the tiniest bit in high school, after his mother had passed away. He was only 17 years old. You were still children.
You have memories of standing uncomfortably in the dress your mother had insisted you wear to the funeral. You didn't know how to approach him then. He sat alone in a chair on the far side of the funeral home, a blank expression on his face. You couldn't say a word as you took tiny footsteps towards him. And he didn't say a word either, just looked up with bloodshot eyes. You'd hugged him then, feeling his shoulders shakes against you.
Soon it was time for the two of you to start thinking about college and your lives outside of the scope of small town high school. Talks of plans to find something new and excited were quickly stomped out by the failures of his father. You can recall a 23 year old Mike begging for your company on late nights when his father's drinking had reached a climax.
And you'd gladly show up for him. Abby was only six by that time, and Mike was all she had. Mike spoke about his father with disdain to you. Never crying the way he had as child, but you could see a sad anger within the conversations. And really, you couldn't blame him.
You can remember a night on the roof of your childhood home. It wasn’t your first time sneaking Mike through the window of your bedroom. It was a cold December night, and you were home for the holidays.
“I don’t think my dad’s coming back.”
Your knees were pulled up and under your chin as you rest your head and listened to his worries. “What do you mean?”
He sighed. “I mean, he hasn’t been back for three days and I think this might finally be it.”
You furrowed your brows and met his gaze.
“I’ll move back here.”
In that moment he had begged you not to. You were so close to finishing your degree and he insisted that he could not be the reason you didn’t finish. So you heeded to his wishes. You finished your final semester.
In the 6 months that you were gone after that night, his dad had not returned. Mike had stepped up to be a guardian for his sister. Family court would later assure this in legal documentation.
You had hugged him tightly the first night you were home and assured him that you would be there, for the both of them.
━━━
You would prove that to him when his original babysitter had ghosted him.
“Probably got tired of not being paid.” He had said when you asked why.
You don’t ask for pay. You had a day job that kept you stable enough to live. And as Mike’s hours were night shift, there was really no problem with the arrangement.
It would go on for a few weeks. You hadn’t seen pay, but you didn’t mind. Mike would cook you breakfast when he got home. That was payment enough for you.
But you could notice he wasn’t doing well. Dark circles had formed under his eyes. He had confided in you about the actions of his Aunt Jane. He showed you the papers with bold letters proclaiming a request for a change of custody. His stress and worry made sense to you now.
He would have to prove he was fit, a big ask in a court setting, especially for someone like Mike. You had encouraged him the best you could.
But everything had come to a head on a night when Mike had intended to actually pay you.
He woke you from your light sleep on his couch, alerting you that he was home. He sat his tired body on the recliner.
“There’s a 20 dollar bill in my jacket pocket.”
His eyes are closed as he speaks. It seems the night has been a rough one for him. “You don’t have to, but thank you.” You find the jacket lying on the kitchen table. You feel slightly bad as you reach your hand in to find the bill, but your guilt falls into confusion as your fingers brush the tiny bottle inside.
You let your eyes travel over the orange bottle in your hands. You furrow your brows. You turn to face the recliner he sits in.
"Mike."
He turns his head to face you, tired eyes falling on yours. He sees the bottle in your hands and you can see a sense of uncertainty and dread fall across his features.
"What are these? Sleeping pills?"
He immediately tenses, as if he had been avoiding this topic with everyone. But he responds quietly, “Yes.”
You fall silent for a moment, unsure of what to say. Realistically, there was nothing wrong with sleeping pills. People use them all of the time to sleep. But Mike seems hesitant to cover the topic of these pills and why he uses them.
An additional concern comes up in the way he had stuffed them in his jacket pocket. Why was he taking them to work? You hate the way your thoughts sound like the micromanagement of a mother, but all you can see is the bright yellow of the custody papers and Abby’s sweet face in your mind.
“Have you been taking these at work?”
He’s silent. It’s enough of an answer for you. You sigh as you sit the bottle down on the kitchen counter. You’ve known he wasn’t well. The incident that had gotten him fired from his last job, the dark circles under his eyes, the hardness about him, it all worried you. But you had always chose to let him live. Let him make his mistakes.
“Mike, talk to me. What’s going on with you?”
He lets out a spiteful scoff as if the conversation is beneath his worries at the moment. He lets out a shaky sigh. “I feel connected to him there. I don’t know why, but I do.”
There’s no doubt in your mind who he is referring to. His baby brother. The one he couldn’t save. You let him continue.
“If I can put myself into the right state of mind, I can see it. I can watch it over and over. And if I try hard enough maybe I might see who took him.”
He voice drifts off to a quiet and weak tone, “That’s all that matters to me.”
You can tell he’s hurt by the way that his voice comes out strained and weak, and it hurts you too. It’s not as if you couldn’t understand the pain of the situation. He’d cried to you all those years back when it first occurred. What you can’t understand is how he could let it ruin his relationship with Abby. Abby who is alive and well. Abby who, even if discreet, sees Mike as the moon and stars.
“And what about that little girl who sits around and draws you all day long?”
It makes you feel like a bitch to even say such a thing to him, but if it gives him a shake maybe it’d be worth it. “What about her?”
He stands still as a statue, emotions shifting across his face as he processes the words you’ve shot at him. You’re sure they strike like a bullet. His mouth opens and closes again, so you speak again.
“I know how badly you want to bring him back, Mike. To bring him back and be able to pretend none of that ever happened.”
He furrows his brows and you can the see the hurt flood his expression.
“But you’re going to lose them both if you don’t get your shit together.”
You sigh. You hate the way you sound like a mother scolding a child. You take a shaky breath. “Do you think that this job is really good for you? I mean-“ He cuts you off with a scoff and a laugh.
His tense attitude has you uncomfortable and defensive. You hate the way your voice becomes strained as you speak. “I just think it’s taking a toll on you.”
“I need this job, otherwise I’m never gonna see her again.”
And of course you know that. He needs a job to look good for a court that’s supposed to be able to decide if he’s right to take care of his sister. But what good does a job do on paper if the court can clearly see the way his mental stability is shaky? He hesitates and meets your eyes with a tense look as he speaks,
“You’re here to babysit Abby, not me.”
You stand silently in front of him for a moment before grabbing your coat. You turn toward him. You can see the quirk of regret on his expression, but he doesn’t speak, doesn’t take it back.
“It’s gonna take more than a shitty job that drives you crazy to keep her. I think you should find somebody else to babysit Abby.”
There’s malice in your tone and you hate it. But you can’t make excuses for him. You ignore his voice as he says your name quietly. You just let the door close behind you a you walk to your car. You wait for the door to open again behind your back. It doesn’t.
He doesn’t text you either. In fact, you don’t hear from him for another week and you wonder if he’s already replaced you and plans on holding the grudge.
You assume he must have. He must have found another babysitter for Abby. It seemed he was saving money to actually pay whoever took that role.
You can’t stop yourself from becoming more and more sad as the week goes on. You find yourself worrying more and more about Mike. And Abby. There’s no doubt in your mind that Jane was still adamant on proving in court that Mike was an unfit guardian.
You don’t know why you feel as though your presence could somehow remedy that. You don’t know why you feel an ache so deep in your heart. Friendship breakups are common. But Mike was different.
You still don’t let yourself text him. You would give him the power to choose that route. To choose you and the friendship you had given him since you were both children. And by the end of the week you have to force yourself to sleep.
And by the end of the week you get what you had secretly hoped for.
━━━
The knock on your door is urgent. You're half asleep as you rise out of the comfort of your bed. Your feet press against the cold floor as you rush to see who it could be. As you glance through the peephole you're met with those familiar black curls.
You open the door swiftly, shivering at the cool breeze that flows in. He looks like hell. Abby stands at his side. You're stunned, "Oh my God." You open the door wider and usher the two of them in.
Abby seems to be physically uninjured, while Mike's face is bloodied and bruised. You whisper to Mike,
"What the hell happened?"
He looks to Abby before he answers. "Abby should get some rest while we talk." You nod immediately. "Of course. She can sleep in my bed while I patch you up."
You lead the young girl to the bed and ensure she's tucked in. She thanks you quietly before you leave the room. You grab some first aid supplies from the bathroom cabinet on your way back.
"Sit."
You point Mike in the direction of the couch. He winces as you wipe the open cuts with alcohol wipes. You raise an eyebrow, “ You look like hell, Mike.” He scoffs in response.
“So you gonna tell me who did this to you, or am I just gonna have to keep wondering?”
Mike hesitates. You stop your movements to look at him with concern. He shakes his head, “You’re gonna think I’m crazy.” You sigh,
“Mike, I know you. Just tell me.”
And so he does. He explains everything down to the little details he can remember. It sounds crazy, it absolutely does. But you can’t bring yourself to think he’s faking it.
“I know it sounds crazy, but I know what I saw. She knows what she saw.” He points in the direction of the room Abby was soundly sleeping in.
“I believe you.”
He closes his eyes and exhales a large breath. You continue to clean the cuts along his face and head. “I don’t think you’ll need stitches.” He nods. There’s still an awkward tension between the two of you. He’s upset with himself for letting you leave the way you had, and you’re ashamed of yourself for letting him push you away. You break the silence at the same time,
“You know-“
“I’m sorry-“
You can’t help but laugh a little, and he smiles weakly back at you.
“It’s okay. I’m sorry too.” You continue.
He shrugs. “You were just looking out for me. I understand that now.” It means a lot coming from Mike. He’s stubborn, not usually one to admit when he’s wrong. It makes the moment all the more sincere. You smile slightly, letting a hand brush his cheek where a bruise is blossoming under the skin.
“I wouldn’t have said what I did if I didn’t care about you.”
He nods slowly and leans his cheek into your caress. You can feel the warmth of his hand as he lets it fall to your hip. His voice falls to a whisper.
“I care about you too.”
You smile and swipe a thumb over his bottom lip, where the plush skin has split from impact and smeared blood across his pale chin. He groans as he leans up, it’s only then that you notice the large gash on his side.
He attempts to stand, hobbling on his injured leg. “Mike,” He turns toward your bedroom, ready to grab Abby and get out of your hair. When he turns his back, you can see the blood seeping through his shirt and the large tear across his back. You grab his hand,
“Mike.”
He faces you again, letting a quick glance fall to your now connected hands. “Let her sleep, she’s alright. Let me help you.”
He stands awkwardly in front of your bathroom counter. His muscles flex with each touch of your fingers around his wounds, his fingers gripping the counter until his knuckles are white.
“I think it’d be best if you took this off.”
You’re awkwardly fiddling with the hem of his long sleeve shirt. He meets your gaze in the mirror and you feel small. Your voice is nearly a whisper, “I- I just can’t see.”
You stare at the floor as he pulls the shirt over his head. The gash is messy, but not deep enough to require stitches. Regardless, it’s covered in a thick layer of blood and sweat. You usher him to turn, and you see that the cut on his side is not better.
He can see the way your eyebrows screw together. “Is it that bad?” His voice has a touch of dread hidden in its tone. “I mean,” You glance at him.
“I don’t think you’ll need stitches, but you need to clean them or they’re gonna get infected.”
He swallows and nods. You walk to the shower, turning the knobs and adjusting the water to an appropriate and comfortable temperature. You clear your throat, “Here. I’ll, uh, I’ll let you…do your thing.”
You turn on your heels to give him privacy. As soon as your fingers touch the metallic surface of the doorknob, his hand catches your free hand, pulling gently. You turn toward him, meeting his eye. He pulls you closer and carefully pulls you into an embrace. You’re worried you’ll catch his wounds with your hands so you let them hover above his skin, not actually touching. But you want to.
You can feel his breath on your neck where he’s buried his face. He speaks into the sensitive skin, “Thank you. I don’t thank you enough.” That’s the moment you finally let your hands rest on his skin.
“You don’t have to thank me, Mike. I do it because I care about you.” You gently brush your fingers across his upper back, avoiding his cut. “Besides, you’d do it for me.”
He pulls himself from your neck, and you drop your hands from his back gently, expecting him to pull out of the embrace. But he stays close to you and only pulls back enough to see your face. Your cheeks are so hot. You can feel it and you know he can probably see it. He keeps his hands at your sides, just above your hips in a way that feels respectful. You allow yourself to put your hands on his forearms, thumbs resting in the bend of his elbows.
Your water is gonna get cold.”
It’s a whisper as it comes out. He simply nods but doesn’t drop his hands from your sides. You smile shyly at him.
“Come with me.”
Your face is instantly hot and you’re suddenly hyper aware of the steam that’s building in the room and around the two of you. With your eyes wide and your mouth opening but no words coming out, he looks at you with hesitation, like he can’t believe the words actually left his mouth.
You can see the fear building on his expression the longer the silence drags on. Thoughts are racing through your head. You’d be lying if you said you’d never thought of this. You loved him. There’d always been a flutter in your stomach and a heat in your cheeks that let you know that perhaps it could be more than a friendship. You want that. But is this really how it’s going to happen?
You imagine the two of you going from childhood friends to becoming well acquainted with each other’s bodies in the span of one stressful night after not speaking for nearly a week. But there are no alarm bells going off in your head. You can’t bring yourself to feel ashamed.
So you kiss him. With his arms still around you and the heat from his bare chest creating a sense of protection from everything. With the whirl of water hitting the tub filling your ears. With the image of Abby sleeping soundly in your bedroom in your mind.
When you pull away, he looks at you with a sense of longing you’ve not seen on him before. You don’t want to say a word, not right now. It’ll be complicated. You know it will be. And you’ll have to have that conversation eventually, but right now the only thing you want is the heat of the water and the silk of his skin against yours.
So you finally unwrap yourself from him to begin working the buttons on your shirt. You’ve turned your brain off momentarily. Your fingers are on autopilot as they remove each article of clothing. If you allowed yourself to think, you’d surely turn in on yourself from the shame.
But when you’re finally bare and displayed in front of him, he doesn’t speak. He only looks with a fondness in his eyes that goes beyond a lustful stare. He slowly works his pants off his injured figure, wincing in the process, and soon he’s just as bare as you.
You’re shaking and cursing yourself internally for doing so. God, why were you shaking? You know he notices as he reaches his hand out to touch your arm lightly, grounding you in reality, and speaks, “Are you okay?”
You nod. More than okay.
The water feels heavenly as it beats against the skin of your back. Mike hobbles into the shower after you. He’s hesitant as you usher him to switch with you. It’s gonna hurt, but it’s necessary.
Your fingers lightly brush the wound on his back. He'd already been wincing slightly from the sting of the water, but your touch has him tensing immediately. You grab a cloth and dampen it enough to be effective in cleaning the general blood and grime from the afflicted wound.
The moment your cloth cover hand touches the  wound, he cries out through closed teeth, "Fucking- fuck!" His hands are planted against the shower wall in front of him. He bites his lip, holding in the whimpers of pain, trying his hardest not to wake Abby.
"Shh. It's okay, Mikey."
You let a gentle hand fall to his non injured side, brushing his skin. You're trying to sooth his tense and pained form as much as possible.
Soon enough you have both gashes cleaned up and ready to be bandaged. Mike turns to face you in the shower. His face still has a slight touch of discomfort to it, but he smiles weakly at you.
“Thank you.”
You smile back and nod. You’ve hardly said a word outside of attempting to sooth his pain with sweet words. The cold is starting to seep in from the tiny crack in the shower curtain. You can feel tiny goosebumps beginning to form on your skin. He frowns slightly and breaks the silence again.
“Did I cross a line…with this?”
Your head is already shaking before you can even comprehend the question. Like your body knows the answer before your mind does. “No, Mike.” He hesitates in his response, standing still and quiet before stepping towards you.
He seems to be able to move around a little better. You’re not sure if it’s the water cleaning the previously irritated wounds or if it’s the adrenaline pumping through his body. Either way you’re thankful as his hands are grabbing at your face and pulling you into another kiss.
It’s sloppier than the previous kiss you had shared, and he’s pushed you back so far that your back is hitting the cold tile of the shower wall. A fog has taken over your mind as you reach around his shoulders, digging your fingers into the plush muscle of his back.
The feeling of his tongue swiping into your mouth has sent you entirely mad. You’re whining slightly at the feeling and your eyes are half lidded. You can’t even think of the fact that this is your childhood best friend kissing you. Making you shudder. You can’t find it in you to care, you want him.
“Mikey…”
It’s a whispered moan as you let your head fall back against the tile, exposing the delicate skin of your neck to his wandering mouth.
Despite his injured form, his hands are tight around you. You'd thought of this before, in the heat of the night alone in your high school bedroom, hormones taking over completely.
You'd imagined the strong grip of his hands and the contrast of his plush lips. The bite of white teeth and soothing warmth of the hot water.
It’s absolutely divine, you think. He is divine. You know you’ll have dark bruises on your neck from the way he bites. You can’t help but run a hand through the hair on the back of his head and tug slightly. The moan is elicits rumbles through your neck and you want more.
You’re absolutely drunk off of the feeling of his body being this close to yours, nearly intertwined. You don’t even think when your nails swipe the cut on his back. That is until he lets out a yelp in the crook of your neck and promptly jump back.
You’re wide eyed immediately, realizing what you’d just done.
“I’m- I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry, Mike.”
You can still see the remnants of a wince on his face but he laughs. And you find yourself letting out a nervous laugh with him. “It’s okay. I’m okay.”
You laugh again, holding the palm of your head to your forehead.
“We should probably get out. It’s getting cold.”
You nod.
━━━
You manage to sneak past Abby’s sleeping figure long enough to grab old clothes from your room. You find yourself thanking the universe than Abby is a heavy sleeper.
You’re also thankful that you hadn’t given Mike back an old t-shirt that he had left in your home years ago. He smiles at you when you hand it to him. He puts it on and examines the familiar print on the front.
“You’ve been holding this one hostage, huh?”
You gently nudge his shoulder and let out a chuckle. “Shut up.”
You’ve layered blankets in the middle of your living room floor. You speak as you lay pillows down on the makeshift palette. “Abby is sleeping peacefully, I’m not letting you drive home tonight, and there’s no way I’m letting you sleep on my tiny couch.”
You point exaggeratedly at the “bed” you’ve created for the two of you. “Ta-da.” You let yourself fall back onto the layers of pillows and blankets. It’s surprisingly cushioned. You sigh. “Actually not that bad, Mikey.”
He watches you with a smile from his seat on your couch. “You’ve really out done yourself.” He slides off the couch and into the layers of blankets and pillows next to you. He turns to rest on his uninjured side, facing you. It’s dark in the room, but you’ve left one lamp on. You can see his features glow under the warm light. You brush a hand on his cheek lightly.
“I’m glad you didn’t die tonight, Mike.”
He snickers, but you’re serious. The thought of his face on the news, just another tragedy at Freddy’s, haunts you. “I’m serious.”
He simply stares at you. “You’re not gonna go back there, right?” He closes his eyes and shakes his head slowly.
“I don’t know how I’m gonna take care of her. I can’t keep a job.”
Your thumb brushes at his cheek, soothing his tension. “I’ll help you. When have I ever left you alone in this?” You shiver as you think of the only time you’d walked out on him after that heated argument. You push the thought away and close your eyes.
“Really love you, Mike. You’re my best friend.”
You open your eyes hesitantly and you can see the shine of moisture in his. “Love you too.”
You place a kiss on his lips. It’s chaste, but full of a deep warmth. It leaves you wondering what comes next.
You tuck yourself in close to him.
“Goodnight, Mike.”

From a young age, it was clear that you would spend the rest of your life by Neteyam’s side. He was your best friend, the first person to treat him as just another kid and not the first born son of the olo’eyktan.
As you grew together, the way you felt about each other seemed to grow in sync, from entirely platonic best friends, to teenagers who would sneak out of chores to kiss in the forest. One day, while leaning against his chest and feeling his fingers play with the beaded ends of your braids, he pressed a kiss to the crown of your head, whispering into your skin.
“Once we have finished the rites, I want to be yours,” your breath hitched at his words, “forever.” You blinked, twisting to look up at him with wide eyes. “If you’ll have me.” You rolled your eyes, leaning up to kiss his jaw.
“Of course I’ll have you.” Neteyam broke into a wide  smile, as if for a moment he expected you would say anything else. “In this life and the next.” If you were told as a child, that at sixteen, just days before he made his first kill, that you and Neteyam would be promising to be each other’s mates, you would have laughed them off.
Now, you were beaming at him while sat on his lap, pressing kisses to his mouth and cheeks, eliciting laughter from him as he fell back, arms wrapped around your waist.
Your parents and his had all apparently known of his plans to propose to you that evening, as they were all waiting for you in the Sully family hut as you arrived, excited that your families would become one. As Kiri swatted Lo’ak for throwing his hands in the air with a loud exclamation of ‘finally’, Mo’at guided you away from the crowd.
“Once you begin your rites, I shall teach you to use and amplify your connection to Eywa.” Her eyes were soft as she rested her hands on your shoulders. “I believe you shall become a strong Tsahik.” You thanked her with a bow, grateful that she would so willingly teach you and flattered at her compliment.
Time seemed to move both too fast and not fast enough over the next year and a half as you both completed your rites and became adults of the clan. Like his father, Neteyam became one of the greatest Omaticaya warriors, proudly taking his place at the olo’eyktan’s side. But however strong and fearless he became, his eyes always softened as he looked at you, an impatience within him to finally have you as his official mate, to be able to say he is yours entirely.
Like Mo’at told, your connection to Eywa grew, able to understand her guidance with ease. Quickly, you learned that your favourite part of being the future Tsahik was healing. Being able to help those in your clan that were injured or unwell was always rewarding. And despite her being your personal guide and teacher, you were extremely honoured every time Mo’at invited you to assist in ceremonies with Eywa in front of the clan.
Neteyam’s ceremony was performed around a month after your own, and still, he waited a week to ask you again to be his mate.
With his fingers easily weaved between your own, he guided you toward the bioluminescent clearing where he had first proposed. (And where, two short years before that, you had shared your first kiss). Neteyam held both of your hands, close enough that you could count the freckles scattered across his face; not that you hadn’t done so many times before.
“I know I have already asked you this,” his voice was soft and nervous as he spoke, “but I want to ask again.” As he drew in a slow, shuddered breath, you leaned up and pressed a kiss beside his mouth. “Will you be my mate? Would you honour me with allowing me to be yours forever?” Your eyes watered, crying despite knowing what he was going to ask, and you nodded with a smile. But still he waited, wanting to hear you say it.
“Neteyam, yes. I would love to be your mate.” He let out a sigh of relief, quick to drop your hands to grab your face and kiss you. You smiled against each other’s mouths, hands on each other and pulling each other as close as you physically could.
His hands slide down your body and grasp the underside of your thighs, lifting you so your legs could wrap around his waist. With his mouth never leaving yours, Neteyam carefully sat down and rested you on his lap, the ground lighting up under him.
“You are so breathtaking.” He whispered against your lips and you pulled away with a flustered laugh, forehead rested against his. Neteyam was never shy about complimenting you, but somehow his words never failed to cause your heart to skip and the tips of your ears to warm.
“Oel ngati kamele, Ma Neteyam.” You ran your fingers over his bicep causing goosebumps to raise as you spoke with a sigh.
Wordlessly, you reached up behind you to grab your braid that safely held your queue, pulling it over your shoulder and dragging your fingers down to the end. The soft tendrils of your queue reached for him, yearning for him just as your heart did. Neteyam mirrored your movement, bringing his queue around, and held it just in front of your own. Your eyes flicked up from your queues to meet his eyes.
Although you had loved each other since you were children, you were both still nervous that the other would change their mind.
“I am yours.” You asserted. Neteyam dropped his head forward to press your foreheads together again.
“Yours. I have always been yours.”
As your queues entangled, you sucked in a short breath, body relaxing as you watched his pupils dilate. Your heart began to race as your breaths began to match his, eyes falling closed. After years of promises and soft kisses in the dark, your souls were entwined and could never be separated.
---
You squeezed Neteyam’s hand as Tarsem’s hand dropped against Jake’s chest in a fist, cementing the change in leader and the end of Jake’s reign as olo’eyktan. The Suli Tseyeyk’itan family were leaving the clan as sky people threatened to hunt them. Revenge on Jake for something that happened nearly two decades ago. Neteyam had offered to let you stay with the clan while he left with his family. But you refused, reminding him that you were his mate, by his side forever. And if his family was in danger, you were included in that.
Neteyam pulled you up behind him onto his ikran and you easily wrapped your arms around his waist, head resting on the back of his shoulders. It was a position that you had been in before, taken on many flights by your mate from the day that he bonded with his flying beast.
But the pit in your stomach still reminded you of how different this would be. You were leaving your clan and the only family and life you had ever known. You knew that you would follow Neteyam to the ends of Pandora, but the change was still scary. You had no way of knowing what was to come with leaving your home, you had no idea what your new one would look like. Neteyam reached down and rested his hand on your thigh, giving it a squeeze as his ikran took off.
No two na’vi described the effects of mating the same, Eywa giving each couple a different way of connecting and understanding each other. For you and Neteyam, it seemed that it had given you both the ability to understand the deep emotions of each other. You could tell when he was stressed about the pressures of his future title and he could tell when your anxiety sunk deep into your bones. It was as if you could feel him in the depths of your being, an overlay on the edge of your soul.
So he knew, as you pressed your chest against him and felt the rush of the wind whistling past his ears, that you were afraid of what was to come. But with his hand pressed safely against your thigh, the warmth spreading from where the skin met, it reassured you that whatever happened he would be by your side and making things a little less scary.
---
Neteyam always asserted that you were the most beautiful being he had ever seen. Even as a child, there was something about you that made him smile and desperate to hear your laugh. You had swum together many times in the various ponds around the Home Tree and Ayram alusing, but watching you rise out of the ocean, flicking water out of your braids with a shake and laughing with Tsireya, he could swear that he fell in love with you all over again.
“Bro,” Lo’ak smacked his chest, bringing his attention back to their ilu training, “she’s already your mate, you can stop the lovesick staring.” Neteyam hit him back, looking back over at you to see your attention already on him. You sent him a soft wave, which he happily returned with a smile.
---
Despite Jake’s best attempt at keeping his family safe and keeping the war away, the need for vengeance from a man who was supposed to be long dead was too strong. All too quickly the sky people in their boat with their machines that killed tulkun with ease arrived.
You held onto the ilu tightly as you all raced to catch up with Lo’ak, the ocean spray whipping at you. You knew it was dangerous, leaving Awa’atlu, it was stupid and reckless but Lo’ak was determined to warn the tulkun he had bonded with.
You watched in awe as the giant creature rose from the ocean, eagerly greeting Lo’ak, who began to panic once noticing a red spear-like tracker in the beast’s shoulder. You wasted little time, standing up on the ilu and diving into the water, swimming over to help the boy pull the tracker out. Neteyam was close behind you, and he helped pull up the Metkayina teens who had come with you.
You heard Lo’ak radio their father while Kiri and Tuk climbed onto the tulkun and finally, as the sky people boat rounded the rocky bluff, the six of you pulled the tracker out.
“Go that way, I’ll draw them off.” Neteyam ordered, holding the tracker. As you opened your mouth to rebut, he cut you off. “Go with Tsireya. I’ll be okay.” You huffed at him, but obliged, swimming beside the girl and grabbing hold of her ilu’s saddle.
---
You held onto the ilu as Lo’ak raced towards the rocky island with Neteyam leaning against him. You couldn’t take your eyes off of him, the way he wheezed with each breath. There was no way to explain it, but you could feel a heat blooming in your chest. You hadn’t seen him get shot, having been with Tsireya after she escaped the large ship, but you immediately knew, your mated connection through Eywa causing a phantom pain.
You could only watch as Spider and Tsireya guided Neteyam up to Jake, who helped them pull him onto the rocks. Jake rolled him onto his side to check for wounds before he laid him back. For a moment, he looked between you and Lo’ak who kneeled beside Neteyal, but quickly chose to take Lo’ak’s hands and had him apply pressure.
As Neteyam gasped for breath, you felt like you couldn’t catch your breath either. With shaky hands you took his, lowering yourself down so you could hold it to your mouth, staring up at him with glassy eyes.
His breaths grew shorter, more panicked, as Neytiri landed her ikran and fell to her knees between you and Lo’ak. Jake held his face as he reassured him that it would be okay, and you felt like your throat was closing. Then everything stopped, and Jake pulled his hand away from Neteyam’s cheek.
Everything sounded muffled, like you were underwater or had cups over your ears. You couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe. It felt as though your lungs stopped taking in air and like someone was squeezing your heart. You couldn’t hear what Neytiri was saying as she shook Neteyam’s shoulders, you could only hear the anguish in her voice. You felt it in your chest as she screamed and Jake pulled her to his chest. You looked over as the sounds around you echoed to see Lo’ak staring down at his red-stained hands.
You rocked on your knees, internally pleading with Eywa to wake you up, give you a sign that this was a nightmare and the emptiness in your chest was a horrid lie. You didn’t bother wiping away any of your tears, barely noticing them as they rolled down your cheeks and met with the back of Neteyam’s hand, which you hadn’t moved from your lips in the hopes that it would twitch, that he would be alive.
Then, all at once, sound returned. And you screamed. Pained and desperate, your voice cracking. You dropped his hand and collapsed down into Neteyam’s chest, pleading with Eywa to let his heart start beating again. You could hear voices, Jake and Neytiri’s, but what they were saying didn’t register. All you could focus on as you sobbed was the hollow, empty feeling deep in your chest. You let out a pained wail as you sat up, turning to Jake as you felt his hand rest on your shoulder. He opened his mouth, as if to say something, but closed it again, instead choosing to give you a soft, sad look.
You were left alone on the rocks with Neteyam as the others left to return to the ship and save the Sully daughters. You sat beside him cross-legged, and carefully pulled his head into your lap as if trying not to wake him from sleep. As gently as you could, you wiped away the blood staining his skin, wanting to erase all evidence that he was hurt, then you ran your fingers over his face, pushing his braids to the side and wiping away water and tears (both his and your own) from his star-speckled cheeks. Once you were satisfied, you gently closed his eyes.
Neteyam was always so beautiful as he slept, and you always loved the mornings when you would wake up before him leaving you able to roll over and stare at his peaceful expression. He would always get embarrassed when you told him he was pretty when he slept, the tips of his ears flushing pink.
“Ma Neteyam. Oeyä narlor muntxa si.” You pressed your lips to his forehead while you whispered to him. “Oeyä yawne. Please, come back to me. I cannot do this without you, I cannot live the rest of my life without you. You were supposed to be by my side forever.” You hiccuped as a sob broke out of you. You leaned back, staring up at the sky. “Great Mother, please. Please, do not take him from me, Great Mother.” You continued to sob and plead with Eywa and Neteyam’s heart as the boat exploded and a fire broke out.
The yellow-orange light reflected in your eyes and the tears that stained your cheeks. You barely registered the warmth, unable to feel without Neteyam.
---
You swam with the Sully family, close to Jake and Neytiri as they carried Neteyam’s body toward the Metkayina’s cove of ancestors. You had no idea whether the salted damp permanently on your cheeks was your tears or the ocean as the two had long-since become one and the same. You barely ate, you barely spoke. Everything felt as though you were fighting quicksand, too much effort for you.
Jake and Neytiri had told you that you could swim his body down with them, but you refused, knowing that if you did, it was unlikely you would be able to bring yourself back to the surface without him.
You and Lo’ak stayed by each other’s side, your hand holding his in a desperate attempt to not take in a breath of water. He held out his other hand toward his brother, while you squeezed your fist to your chest hoping the pinch of your nails into your palm would let you feel more than just numb.
The glowing anemone reached out to Neteyam, pulling him down and into its warmth. His energy was being returned to Eywa. As the glow absorbed him you let out a sob, realising that he was gone. Your mate, the man who promised he would be by your side forever, was gone and had left you alone with a tightness in your throat and feeling as though there was part of your soul missing.
Once you made your way back to your marui, you returned to the place you had been laying since you returned to Awa’atlu after being separated from Neteyam; the mat you had shared with Neteyam in the corner and wrapped in the blanked you had brought with you from your home with the Omatikaya clan, the blanket that still smelled so much like your mate.
Every time you closed your eyes, Neteyam was there with his wide eyes and bright smile. You could still hear his laugh and feel his touch on your skin as you fell asleep. As you slept, you dreamt of the life you were supposed to have with him, by his side as you grew old together, starting your own family that would share the way he smiled and that look he got when he was flying on his ikran.
You let out a sob and it broke Neytiri’s heart to hear as she passed by. She had seen the way her mother suffered after her father’s death, knowing that the bond of a mate left the living feeling less than themselves. And she herself had nearly lost her Jake once, and that pain was all consuming. Knowing that pain and mixing it with the grief she felt over losing her son, she could only imagine how you felt, so young and without your mate.
Silently she entered, bowl of food in her hand. Neytiri knew you hadn’t eaten all day, and you were still a part of her family. She slowly crouched beside you and you jolted when you felt her hand on your shoulder. You sniffed, nose still blocked from the crying that never seemed to end, and looked down at the food she offered. You shook your head, having no appetite. Food would not solve the feeling that someone had opened your chest and removed your heart, the only solution to that was buried with the ancestors.
“My sweet,” her words were soft, and you looked up at her with teary eyes, “are you ready to go to the Spirit Tree?” In the weeks since his death, Neytiri and Jake asked you this question in variation every day, hoping that seeing him in Eywa would ease your grief. They had learned quickly that saying Neteyam’s name visibly broke your already shattered heart even further, even more than the question itself. Neither were sure how long it would take until you were ready, but both did their best to keep you afloat in your grief.
Every time you thought of him, it felt as though you had breathed in water, your lungs heavy and your throat tight. Your breaths came in heaves, every inhale an effort against the thick air of loss. It was rare you were seen outside of your marui, the darkness within keeping you captive.
But you surprised Neytiri when you slowly shrugged off the blanket and nodded. She blinked down at you, but quickly offered you her hand. You took it, accepting her help in pulling you to your feet, the weight on the unused limbs causing you to wobble slightly.
“I’m afraid.” Your voice was small, scratched from your tears and it’s lack of use.
“Of what?” Neytiri left a comforting hand on your back, knowing that you may collapse into your consuming grief.
“That the spirit with Eywa is from before we mated.” That was half true.
After Jake and Neytiri returned from the Spirit Tree, Jake had told you that the Neteyam he saw was from when he was younger. If you saw that version, he may not even know that you were together at all.
She hummed as your eyes itched. Neytiri knew you were hiding from her, and while she didn’t want to force your words, she wanted you to know that there was nothing to be ashamed of when it came to expressing your grief.
“And that I’ve forgotten his face.” That confession is what broke you, a whimpered sob breaking from your throat. “I see him everywhere and in everything. I see him when I sleep and I hear him when it’s quiet. But what if the face I remember isn’t the right one.” Neytiri stopped walking and guided you toward her in a hug. You cried freely as her hand ran circles on your back.
She didn’t need to speak, her presence enough. She was, in human terms, your mother-in-law, and she took that very seriously. You were her child, the mated soul of her son. Neytiri would protect you in every way she could and that included keeping you safe from self-destructing in your grief and comforting you in your fears.
You sucked in a shuddered breath and pulled yourself away from her, apologising for your tears that stuck to her skin. Neytiri waved you off and let you choose the direction to continue in: either back to your marui or toward the Spirit Tree.
---
You sucked in a deep breath before bending at the waist and swimming down toward the glowing tendrils of the Metkayina clan’s Spirit Tree. The cool glow reflected off your skin and you squeezed your eyes closed as you reached behind you and took hold of your braided queue.
Eywa, please. Let me see My Neteyam again.
You were home again. Back in the deep forest, feet padding along the glowing moss. You pushed aside the familiar branches that revealed the clearing. Your clearing. The place of your first kiss, where he proposed, where you mated.
You looked around, already tearing up again (a seemingly constant state for you) at being home, when the sound of a pebble bouncing along the water met you. Your ears flicked toward the sound, and your head quickly followed.
Squatting by the pond, arm still extended from the throw, was Neteyam. You let out a short, shuddered breath at the sight of him, and you saw his ears flick.
He turned, eyes bright and smile warm, his chest showing no sign of the wound that took him from you. Neteyam was exactly as you saw him when you closed your eyes.
“Ma y/n!” At the sound of his voice, the tears broke free and his face dropped, immediately rushing over to you and bringing his hands to your upper arms. “Yawne, what’s wrong?” You shook your head, not wanting him to worry about you. He brought one hand to your chin and you leaned into it.
“I’m just-” your voice cracked, “I’m so happy to see you.” He tilted his head with a soft smile, leaning down to press his forehead against your own.
“I’ve missed you.” You felt his breath on your lips and more tears rolled down your flushed cheeks, though they were quickly wiped away by his thumb. You tilted your head to kiss him, ignoring the saltiness of the tears that stuck to your lips.
“I don’t want to leave you.” Your voice was wet with tears, and Neteyam leaned back to look at you.
“Yawne, I am always with you.” You shook your head but he continued to speak. “But you cannot stay here forever. Not yet.” Neteyam kissed you slowly, pouring out the love that he held for you and making up for the kisses you had missed since his death.
You opened your mouth to ask why not, but you felt a pain in your lungs. A pain that pulled you away from Neteyam and back to the ocean as your body begged for breath.

“Woonie, what part of this looks like a fort to you?” A fit of laughter threatens to escape your mouth. The pillows were rapidly falling, making your end of the pillow fort look like a sad pile of blankets. Woonhak gave you a sheepish glance, hurriedly adjusting the pillows and placing books to hold up the pillows in place. He wanted you to enjoy your spot in the fort, and he wouldn’t have as much fun either if the pillows kept falling onto your head.
After some 30-odd minutes of watching and giggling as Woonhak fixed the fort, the precious pillow fort was finally done. Plopping onto the blankets, he turns to you asking, “What should we watch?” You pretend to think for a really long time, putting your fingers under your chin. Muttering softly, you name movies you always enjoyed as a child. "Well I always liked James Bond...or maybe Harry Potter...oh wait, how about Tangled? Nah, there's also Wall-E...oh but what about Pirates of the Caribbean?"
Woonhak laughs, staring at you with wide eyes as he listens intently to you ramble on about the various movies and genres you enjoy. Your quiet muttering would sound crazy to anyone else, but to Woonhak, it was incredibly calming. The way your voice sounded like a harmony that blessed his ears. He could listen to you for hours, days on end, and he'd never get bored.
"So...Wall-E?" He tilts his head toward you, breaking the silence after you've stopped muttering. The screen flicks, changing to show the preview of Wall-E. Smiling to yourself, you nod, adding, "We should definitely watch it." Woonhak giggles, re-enacting how Wall-E was when he met Eve.
"Eeeeve. Eeve? Eva." You burst out laughing at his robot impression, sounding more similar to a chipmunk than a bot. “Woonie, you sound like Alvin.” He rolls his eyes, playfully scoffing as he grabs the remote to click play.
“Hey- if I’m Alvin, who are the others?” He asks, whispering to you. Without even turning to him, you quickly shush him, telling him that this is a part he shouldn’t miss. It was the scene where Eve and Wall-E are running from the other robots, but the Captain knows that Eve has the last plant from Earth. You’d always loved Wall-E, telling your mom when you were little that robots had a better love story than most people.
You giggle at the screen, settling yourself into the fort, bringing a blanket over yourself. Next to you, Woonhak couldn’t focus on the screen, rather, he was staring at you. Sometimes you never failed to make him laugh and you were like a walking sunshine. He couldn’t believe that you were next to him and on Valentine’s Day too no less.
On the other hand, you were beginning to feel sleepy. Perhaps it was because most of your energy was spent laughing with Woonhak as you both made the fort, but either way, you were tired. Your eyelids felt increasingly heavy as you tried your best to focus on the movie.
You relented, giving in to your body wanting sleep. “Used up all your energy, huh?” He laughs quietly, sighing happily as your head falls onto his shoulder. For a few minutes, he watched the movie, making sure to not move so that you could sleep well. The movie was quietly playing in the background as he felt himself get tired with you.
Thirty minutes later, Jaehyun and Sungho came back from the store, grocery bags in hand. They set down the bags, chattering about how they could use help and how they’ll eat all the food if no one else came to help. But how were you both supposed to know? After all, you and Woonhak were asleep in the pillow fort; the movie now playing the credits.
“Hm? Is Woonhak in his room?” Sungho nods at Jaehyun’s question, as he takes out a bottle of chocolate milk. Jaehyun gives him a quick thank you, walking off to get his favorite maknae. As he approached the door, he heard the tell-tale sound of the Disney credits. Opening the door quietly, half-expecting to see you both choosing the next movie, but he wasn’t surprised when he saw you both asleep.
“Awwww.” He swooned, taking his phone out to take a picture, finding you both so cute. You were both snoring softly, the blanket covering the both of you. It was an adorable sight, and you’d wake up to see his hyungs in the fort with you, watching a movie. Some may say it’s annoying but in many ways, it was a perfect Valentine’s Day- spent with what you and Woonhak would call your second family.

Tara Carpenter -- "The lies I keep" (Part 1)
Tara Carpenter x Male reader/oc

(If you haven't seen Scream VI yet, don't read this because it contains spoilers or read it, but at your own risk.)
POV You
New York has always been my home, my safe place. The hustle and bustle of the streets during the day and the background noise 24/7 relax me in a strange way. Born and raised on the Upper East Side, in Manhattan, and I know the city like the back of my hand.
My life felt like the one in the movies, when the protagonists explore and live every part of New York. Sometimes I even feel like I live inside the Gossip Girl series and that everything is perfect.
But let's face it, nothing is perfect and happiness is not eternal.
Yes, I live in a 300 square meter duplex and also, in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in all of New York. But what is the use of having such a big house, when your parents are never home and you are an only child.
Because one thing is clear and that is that to live where I do, you have to have money and a lot of it. But for my parents that has never been a problem.
Both my mother and father come from wealthy families, but other than that; my father is one of the best surgeons in the entire state and my mother has her own law firm. So the two generate a good sum of money.
But that also means one thing: travel. My parents have spent their lives traveling from one part of the state to another, either because the clients are very important or because of some kind of congress or some of those things.
But in their defense I have to say that they always call me to find out how I am, they are interested and concerned about me. In addition to the fact that when they are at home, they usually try to spend as much time as possible with me and try to be there for me.
And now that I'm in college, I'm officially living alone. My parents thought that I would like to have my own apartment and decided to buy me a flat for my birthday. Of course, it is a ten minute walk from where they lived and thus be close in case I need anything.
Although first they would have to be at home to help me, but I don't object since they let me choose the floor and the decoration.
XX: Hey .- I hear someone greet me, taking me out of my thoughts and returning me to reality.
I turn my head to the right, meeting the person who greeted me and I can't help but smile at his presence.
Y/n: Hello.- I greet with a huge smile full of emotion, causing the other person to laugh and sit next to me in class.
XX: What makes you so happy? - she asks me funny leaving her bag on the table.
Y/n: My girlfriend.- I answer shrugging my shoulders.
XX: Oh yes? - she asks me with too much interest and I nod. -And do I know her?- she asks resting her elbow on the table and her chin in the palm of her hand watching me.
Y/n: I don't know, maybe.- I answer with a grimace imitating her posture. -She has almost black dark brown hair, she has brown eyes, she is super intelligent, she has the most beautiful smile in the world and she is 1.55 cm tall. Do you know her? - I ask her funny.
XX: I'm not sure.- she says with a thoughtful face. -The description seems familiar to me, but I don't fall for it.- she denies with false disappointment.
Y/n: What a pity, because I was thinking of inviting her to eat and to see a movie, but I haven't seen her so nothing.- I comment letting out a fake sad sigh.
XX: Well, invite me then.- she suggests with an amused smile.
Y/n: I'm sorry Carpenter, but I'm a faithful man.- I shake my head, holding back my laughter and looking away.
Tara: Idiot.- she slaps me gently on the shoulder, letting out a laugh and causing me to do it too.
Y/n: But you like me that way.- I assure her with a smile, placing a lock of hair behind her ear and caressing her cheek affectionately.
Tara: Unfortunately.- she whispers frustrated rolling her eyes.
Y/n: Hey! - I exclaim offended, sitting upright in my chair and looking at her with crossed arms.
Tara: Just kidding.- she laughs hugging my neck and getting me closer to her. -I like you very, very, very much.- she assures me a few centimeters from my face.
Y/n: I don't know, I´m not sure.- I say with narrowed eyes. -You don't convince me.- I deny holding the smile that struggles to come to light.
Tara: And what can I do to convince you? - she asks a few centimeters from my lips and with an intense look.
Y/n: Food and a movie? - I ask appreciating her face in detail, or how little I can see with her closeness. -They have premiered a quite passable comedy.- I warn her with a slight smile, knowing that because of her past, the scary ones are a resounding NO and I understand it perfectly.
Tara: I can't.- she denies with a slight grimace and my smile disappears. - Mindy wants to try a new restaurant and if I disappear for a whole afternoon Sam would go crazy.- she explains and I nod.
Y/n: Maybe another day .- I sigh a little sadly, since we don't usually have many opportunities to spend time together and the truth is that I wanted to spend some time with her.
Tara: I promise you that this week we'll go eat together, okay? - she tells me and I nod again. -Thank you for understanding.- she whispers affectionately, before joining our lips and moving them slowly.
The kiss doesn't last long, as the teacher enters the class and everyone sits in their places. As the teacher explains today's material, I can't help but tune out what he says and think about my relationship.
I met Tara on the first day of class six months ago, when I was late because of traffic and the only free seat was next to her.
In the beginning, she always kept quiet and never spoke to me unless it was strictly necessary. But in the third week, they asked us to do a job in pairs and because we were sitting next to each other we had to do the work together.
In addition to the fact that she did not have many other options, since if she spoke to me only what was necessary, she had not even told her name to the rest of the class. So really I was her only option to do the job with.
During the first days when we did the work, Tara always kept a certain distance and limited herself to only talking about the work. At no time did she show interest in me as a person and in getting to know me.
So to avoid making her uncomfortable, I never asked her anything personal or anything that wasn't about work. And clearly, i didn´t tell her anything about myself either.
But at some point during the job, she began to feel more comfortable and became a little closer. She even came to ask me about my life and has told me some things about hers.
Two weeks later, though, Tara would admit to me that she had lied to me about a few things, like that she wasn't really from Michigan but from Woodsboro and that the scar on her hand didn't come from a kitchen accident, but that someone had attacked her disguised as Ghostface half a year ago or so.
At first I was surprised by her story and she apologized for lying to me, but she didn't feel safe to tell me the truth until that moment. I understood, since it doesn't have to be pleasant to live that experience and have someone as close as your best friend try to kill you.
That makes anyone distrust all the people they know and those they will meet at some point in their life.
So I didn't give it any importance and I didn't ask her any questions on the subject. Mostly because I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable or stop talking to me forever.
From the first moment I thought that Tara was a very pretty girl, but with time and getting to know her a bit more, I cannot deny that certain feelings began to surface.
So I didn't want her to freak out over some stupid question i did and decided I wasn't to be trusted or something like that and then stop talking to me.
Although the unthinkable happened two weeks later, when we said goodbye after class I went to kiss her on the cheek and she accidentally moved, causing me to kiss her on the lips.
We were both shocked and embarrassed at the moment, but she just asked me if I would be interested in a coffee one day and a week later we were a couple.
Couple now of four and a half months more or less. And even though I couldn't be happier and feel like the luckiest man in my life, to have the most wonderful woman in the world as my girlfriend. Not everything is so perfect and happy.
It took a while for Tara to be completely alone and vulnerable with me. Which I understood perfectly and always let her decide the place of our dates.
On the other hand, it is also the fact that nobody knows that we are together or even that we are friends. I'm lying. No one of her friends and sister know that we are a couple or that we even know each other.
At first, the privacy of our relationship was understandable, since as I said before, because of her past it was difficult for her to trust people and something similar happened to her friends. But her sister was somewhat more possessive or at least that's what my girlfriend always tells me.
When I've asked her why we still keep our relationship or even friendship a secret, the answer is always the same: Sam.
She says that she is very overprotective and that she is always trying to control her. Besides, she doesn't trust new people, let alone love interests, since her ex-boyfriend was one of the murderers last year.
So her sister Sam's reason was quite understandable from my point of view, since at the end of the day all she wants is to protect her sister and make sure she's safe .
But that means that the time I spend with Tara, my girlfriend, is very limited and seems to always be timed.
I'm never going to complain about it, but it's hard for me to see couples making plans and spending time together, when I can't spend more than half an hour with my own girlfriend without someone texting her to find out where she is or if she is safe.
Every time I propose a plan, whether it's to eat something after classes, go for a walk or go to a cafeteria for a coffee, most of the time the answer is negative.
I don't even know how many times she has canceled me and promised to do the plan another day. At first I kept count unconsciously and tried to take her word for it. But over time I have stopped doing it.
It's sad and painful to tell the truth, especially when my friends; who do know that I have a girlfriend, ask me about her and about  when they will meet her and stuff like that.
But I really like Tara and although this situation hurts me at times, she is worth it.
And who knows, maybe at some point she will get encouraged and introduce me to her friends as her boyfriend, or like a friend at least.
POV Tara
I leave my last class of the day, kissing my boyfriend goodbye and walking to where I know my friends are waiting for me.
I can't help but feel bad for rejecting Y/n's plan, because it's not the first time I've done it and I'm sure it won't be the last. I feel guilty for not giving him the time he deserves and even more so seeing how thoughtful he's been during class.
Y/n is the perfect guy and I don't understand how lucky I've been to meet him. He is attentive, calm, a bit of an idiot; but in a good way, he is affectionate, funny, he gives me my space and always respects my limits.
He didn't even get angry when I admitted that I had lied to him about most of the things I told him about myself, and he didn't stop treating me differently when he found out the truth.
He continued to treat me in the same respectful and kind way he had done since the day we met. And I think that was one of the things that made me fall in love with him.
But lately I'm being the worst girlfriend in the world. Between working on other subjects, my friends who have been too present in my plans lately, and my sister who doesn't let me breathe, I don't have a free moment to be with him.
Because let's face it, there would be nothing I would want more than to go eat something with him and then cuddle against him watching a movie. Because he doesn't remind me of Woodsboro, doesn't overprotect me or control me like I'm going to get jumped at any moment. He treats me like a normal person without a traumatic past and i love that.
With him I feel calm, I feel happy and normal. With him I'm just Tara Carpenter the girl he likes, not Tara Carpenter the survivor of Ghostface, the Tara who was betrayed by her own best friend and tried to kill her three times. And that's another reason why I adore him.
Mindy: There 's my girl!- she exclaims when she sees me nearby.
Anika: Hey! - she claims, slapping her on the arm. -I'm your girl.- she reminds her with an amused smile.
Mindy: Don't worry babe, there's Mindy for everyone.- she assures her with a smile, putting her arm around her shoulders and bringing her closer to her body.
Chad: Besides, Tara's my girl.- he says jokingly, putting his arm around my shoulders and winking at me.
Ethan: Are you guys together?- He asks pointing at Chad and me with confusion and something else that I can't make out in his eyes.
Mindy: He wish.- she laughs at the question and the rest except Ethan and Chad laugh.
Quinn: Tara is a too much of a woman for Chad.- My roommate supports my best friend and they high five.
Chad: Hey! - He exclaims offended and I come out from under his shoulder.
Tara: And if it's not clear, no Ethan, we're not together.- I reply to the shy boy laughing with my friends.
Ethan: Oh, like .. you , you know.- he says nervously, pointing to where his roommate is and where I had been a few moments ago.
Tara: Well no.- I answer with a friendly smile. -And … Are we leaving or not?- I ask wanting to change the subject.
Mindy : Yessss .- she answers with her arms in the air. -I've heard that it's one of the best Mexicans in all of New York and that its tacos are to die for.- she tells us excitedly, starting to walk and heading towards the restaurant she's been talking about for days.
Chad: Changing the subject completely - he starts while we're walking as a group. -Tomorrow is Friday and Halloween .- he hums happily.
Tara: I doubt that Sam will let me out no matter how much it's Halloween or Christmas. - I deny crossing my arms, angry with my sister and her way of controlling everything I do.
Chad: Oh come on Carpenter, are you not going to your first college Halloween party because your sister forbids you? - he asks me with a false pout.
Anika: Chad, leave her alone.- she tells her girlfriend's brother in my defense.
Chad: It's our time to enjoy.- he assures us with a huge smile. -Fuck Sam and let's enjoy that we're still alive! - he exclaims trying to convince us.
Mindy: I keep wondering how come your brain hasn't had a short circuit with all the nonsense you say.- she tells her brother with a frown and a little amusement .
Chad: Because I'm right and you know it.- He points at her with a contagious smile.
As the brothers start poking each other, I'm left thinking and Chad has a point. I've been in New York for six months and I haven't been to any college party or event other than classes because of Sam.
That is to say, I can't even arrive home more than an hour late after class, because if I arrive a little later, my cell phone is already burning and organizing a search team.
My boyfriend hasn't even been to my apartment, because my sister would go crazy that I have a close friend and even more if she finds out he's my boyfriend. I mean, there's a reason I haven't told Sam that I have a boyfriend.
Tara: As much as it pains me to say it, Chad is right.- I interrupt the twins, causing everyone's attention to be on me and some to look at me in surprise.
Chad: What did you say? - he asks me with an amused smile, placing his hand next to his ear and bringing him closer to me .
Tara: You're right.- I growled amused. -Sam has her psychologist on Fridays, so she won't be home to know if I'm going out or not.- I commented with a look full of security.
Chad: Yes ! - he exclaims happily punching the air. -Party? - he asks me with a smile full of emotion.
Tara: Party.- i agree with a smile.
Mindy : Sounds good to me.- she nods, shrugging her shoulders and starts to talk about costumes.
As we all start talking about costume ideas and tomorrow's plan. Quinn tells us that she can't go, since she has a date with a guy from tinder and knowing her, I know well not to be home tomorrow.
While Chad tells us about the parties that there will be and the different fraternities that give them, I secretly take out my cell phone and look for a contact in my messages.
I find the contact immediately, entering the chat and letting Y/n know about my plans for tomorrow.
The answer is not long in coming and the smile on my face increases in size unconsciously. He tells me that his friends are also going to the same party and that he had no intention of going out. But now that he knows I'm going out, he assures me that he will find a costume and that he will see me at the party tomorrow without fail.
I couldn't be more excited right now. Tomorrow I'm going out with my party friends, without Sam and her excessive control. I will see my boyfriend and I plan to take advantage of a moment of inattention on the part of my friends, to spend time with him and enjoy the party by his side.
And who knows. Maybe after the party, I can sneak him into my apartment and do what I've been wanting to do for a while now.

You smiled at her, she looked like an angel in disguise, the moonlight reflecting on her eyes made it look like they were actually green aventurines, and you couldn’t help but get lost in them.
“What?” she asked you, a smile forming on her lips.
She shared the same amount of love you had for her, you could see it in those soft green eyes of hers.
“I just wish we could have more time,” you confessed, a bit of sadness in your words.
Florence and you were right at her front door. Your date had ended a few minutes ago when you parked the car in front of her home. Eventhoguh, the two of you had been dating for almost 7 months now, this was the first time you had driven her home. Which you did think was a bit odd, but never thought much about it.
“Do you want to come in?”
You were taken aback by the question, not actually expecting that kind of request to slip out of her lips.
“Do you want me to come in?”
“Of course, silly. I wouldn’t have asked you otherwise. Come on, we can watch a movie and you can stay the night if you want to,” she looked at you with big doe eyes, how could you say no to those beautiful pickle green eyes?
“Okay, yes,” you kissed her cheek, eager to be wrapped around her arms for the rest of the night.
She looked for her keys, but soon the door was being opened from the inside by someone else.
“Hello,” Toby said when the door was fully opened. “I’m sorry, Flossie, we didn’t expect you to come just yet. But we are on our way out, don’t worry. Hi, Y/n,” he said, finally looking your way and you returned the greet with a smile.
“He’s here?” Florence asked, she sounded both worried and comforted.
“Mummy!” you heard someone shout, and a few seconds later a little man came running to Florence’s arms.
Your eyes winded in realisation, as you watched them tightly holding onto each other, as if they haven’t seen each other in decades. This was Florence’s kid, a kid you had no idea that existed until now.
“We’re sorry Flossie, Aaron here couldn’t sleep without his teddy bear. But we are leaving right now,” Toby said, gently pulling the kid away from Florence and trying to head him out the house.
“Wait a second, uncle Toby. Who’s that?” he pointed at you, noticing your presence right next to his mum.
You looked at Florence, not sure what you were supposed to say. She looked back at you, also not knowing how to approach the situation. This was not how she expected for you to meet her child. Hell, she wasn’t even sure if you liked kids. Her eyes got watery when she realised that this was it, she had lost you forever. Who could ever want a woman with a child? Who could ever want a woman that had never said anything about having a child?
Maybe it was for the best. Maybe you and Florence weren’t a good match after all. And even though she felt so much love for you, her kid would always come first. Even if it broke her heart doing so.
“I’m Y/n,” she heard you say, interrupting her train of thoughts.
She blinked her tears away, and focused her sight on you. You were kneeling in front of her child just so you could be the same height as him.
“And what are you doing with my mum?”
You chuckled at the little boy’s tone showing how much he cared about her mother, “We just were about to watch a movie, right Flo?” you try to find her eyes seeking some kind of comfort for the both of you.
She locked eyes with you, and realised that you weren’t angry, you were just a little confused. But Florence could work with confusion, she could explain everything to you and things would be alright in no time.
“What are you guys watching?” he raised his brow at you.
The more you looked at him, the more you could see Florence through his eyes. They were the same shade of green, the same brightness to them as her mum’s. The only difference between them was that his hair was darker, way darker than Florence’s, almost pitch black.
“Aaron, we have to go,” Toby tried to step in but there was no use.
“What are you guys going to watch?” he repeated his question, completely ignoring his uncle.
“Aaron, you should go with uncle Toby,” Florence tried.
But you had his whole attention.
“I don’t know, which one would you pick?”
“Well, I like superhero movies,” he gave you a warm smile.
Good, you thought, he’s loosening up.
“No way, I love superheroes. Which one is your favourite?”
“I really like Captain America, but I also like Hulk, because he’s so strong. And you?”
“Well, I am more of a Spidey kind of person, you know?” you trailed off.
The two of you were so engrossed in your conversation that you didn’t notice Florence smiling at the two of you. Relief washed over her as she realised how much you and Aaron had in common, even though he was just a 10 year old and you were a proper adult. She laughed to herself realising how childish you could be sometimes.
“Okay, Aaron, we have to go now,” Toby interrupted the two of you.
“But I want to stay, I want to talk to Y/n some more,” he pouted and looked at his mom with big puppy eyes.
You laugh at him, the same doe eyes Florence would give you when she deeply wanted something from you.
“Baby, Y/n and I need to talk and—,” but you cut her off.
“Oh, come on. You said we could watch a movie, right? Why can’t he join us?”
“Yeah, I can join the two of you,” Aaron agreed.
“Y/n, I don’t think that is a good idea…”
“Come on, Flor, we can talk tomorrow morning, okay? I want to get to know this little guy a little bit better,” she watched as you winked at Aaron.
“Yeah!” Aaron once again agreed with you, trying to convince his mum as well.
Florence looked at her son and then back at you. The two of you had just met and you were giving her the same pouty lips. She playfully rolled her eyes at the both of you, maybe this was always how things were supposed to unravel.
“Okay, he can stay,” she finally agreed.
“Great, I’m the only one who isn’t wanted right now,” Toby joked.
“Yeah, see you later, uncle Toby,” Aaron said gently pushing him out the door. “We have some movies to watch.”
Before Aaron shut the door on his uncle’s face, Toby laughed and quickly waved the three of you goodbye. Once Aaron turned around his eyes met yours.
“So, Y/n,” you could hear the playfulness in his words. “Team Iron man or Team Cap?” he looked at you dead in the eyes.

Just finished watching the FNAF movie (hooray for early UK release!) and I unironically loved it. Some things I want to mention…
Spoilers under the cut!
MATTHEW LILLARD AS WILLIAM AFTON 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
JOSH HUTCHINSON AS MIKE SCHMIDT 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Honestly me just losing my fucking shit whenever there was a reference to the lore/games?!?! Like I was SO excited it was unreal
THE TOREADOR MARCH?!? FOXY SINGING?!? BALLOON BOY?!?! VANESSA?!? THE FREDDY LAUGH?!? THE “IT’S ME” WRITTEN ON THE MIRROR?!?
Not gory at all tbh like there’s a couple of scenes involving blood but most of the kills cut away before showing anything (there WAS a scene where Freddy chomped someone’s torso in half but you only see her bottom half afterwards, like the bite happens in the shadows)
There were, in fact, five nights at Freddy’s (and one day) (yes I counted lol) and absolutely nothing of particular scariness happened on Nights 1 or 2, Night 3 was cute, Night 4 started off cute but got sad and then Night 5 was kind of terrifying, kind of funny, kind of fucking awesome and filled with lore
They definitely missed a trick by not mentioning the Bite of ‘87 (or ‘83? Idk) or Golden Freddy but I know there MIGHT be a sequel so… 👀
I spent the whole of the movie trying to figure out who the fifth child/animatronic was 💀 like obviously Freddy, Chica, Bonnie and Foxy… was the fifth one the fucking cupcake?!?!
The cupcake was kinda goofy but I loved it all the same
The animatronics went from villains to not villains to villains to not villains again like what a journey
Look most of my FNAF knowledge admittedly comes from watching Markiplier and JackSepticEye playthroughs but since when was Vanessa William Afton’s daughter?!? Also is Vanessa THE Vanny???
Going into soft play with the pre schoolers at work is NOT going to be the same after this film 💀
Literally all of the people in the cinema freaked out when Springtrap appeared oh my god
We have come SO FAR since the SFM fanmade videos of William Afton in the Springtrap suit getting springlocked and dying surrounded by the ghost children in the animatronics like holy shIT?!?!
“I always come back” - cue the 20 people at the 10:50am showing I was in absolutely losing their fucking shit
In the sequel (if there’s a sequel) I DEMAND more Matthew Lillard as William Afton/Springtrap like yeah he’s dead but FLASHBACKS!!!! Prequels?!? So much potential there. What I’m trying to say is that we deserved more of him, he was amazing but only there at the beginning and the very end, that’s my top complaint tbh
Not that scary to be honest but there’s some jump scares
I will say this, it definitely felt VERY campy at times, like there were moments involving murderous animatronics where we were all giggling in the cinema
Abby (Abi?) was VERY cute and sweet but also I wanted to shake her like you fucking idiot why are you going up to the scary ass animatronics?!? Stay in the office with your sleeping brother
The fact Mike still has custody of his sister after their aunt was presumably murdered in his home is not adding up but hey ho 😂
Is it the best movie ever made? No, but it was enjoyable for me so I call it a win
If anyone has any questions or wants to talk about it, feel free to hit me up, I won’t be able to reply until just over 4 hours time though as I’m about to head into nursery and do a shift so… yep!

Liveblog - Dofus, livre 1 : Julith [PART 14]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Joris's face here goes hard. His lifelong streak of being disappointed in everything begins here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
:(
I genuinely have no comment beyond wanting to hug him. And also the fact that the way he says "LEGENDARY BUT DEAD FATHER (derogatory)" is so fucking iconic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They're a lot alike. No matter how she feels about Joris, or her issues, she's not a fail-aunt.... shes the aunt that Stepped Up. She understands. As she understands, they both lost someone to Julith, and that unites them.
I like to think that, while their relationship post-movie is would probably be turbulent at times, — because they're similar, and hate themselves for similar things, but have different ways of processing these things, — that they were close.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He put on a brave face. But Bakara knows him too well.
Tumblr media
I really doubt that Jahash and Kerubim had a close co-working relationship like Julith and Atcham seem to have.
Here's some conjecture/headcanons: I think that Bakara and Jahash's father has passed away at this point, which is why Joris was given to Kerubim. Kerubim was probably summoned to Bonta/went there to help people of his own volition, despite already being retired. Jahash just had no one else to entrust Joris to, — other than the kind, elderly man who always told stories as they walked to the battlefield during the war.
It's kind of sad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wonder what Jahash asked of him. "Find him a loving family"? "Take care of him"? "Keep him safe"? Or was he completely silent?
No matter what he said, or didn't say, Kerubim has always wanted to be a father. Even if, in his old age, he has long accepted that it simply wasn't his fate.
I bet it felt like the world was making a cruel joke on all of their expenses.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kerubim knows what is going to happen to her, going forward.
Do you ever think about the fact that this was the last time Jahash could ever hold her?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He was probably just as outwardly serene, yet utterly devastated, when she was a child, and he could do nothing but watch, as their father saved her from drowning.
As he said in the Julith et Jahash comic: It's why he learned how to help people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Bakara, for her part, needed much more... with Jahash's departure, her world collapsed."
Tumblr media
He was so scared he couldn't even move. He could only clutch this child closer.
Tumblr media
I think it's easy for him to compartmentalize what happened to Kerubim, while realizing that Lilotte's life is at stake. It's not the time to be emotional. And, he and Bakara have a shared enemy, who killed people they love dearly.
Tumblr media
Another plea from Bakara as a person who is quite sure she was personally orphaned by Julith, to Joris as someone who was literally orphaned by Julith.
And a not-so-subtle implication of "and you have to be one too, this time," is here too, I suppose.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If papycha was in this situation, he would have been brave too. There will be time to be sad, but not now.
When the push really comes to shove, he's pretty good at suppressing his sadness. We've seen this from his meltdown during the argument with Kerubim, and some select moments of Aux Tresors.
Tumblr media
Anyway, do you think Kerubim went back for his stupid hole armour when he could finally form conscious thoughts, and brought it back to Joris's horror, — or do you think that by that time, random other demigods have stolen it, and he had to go on a wild goosechase to retrieve it (so he could keep using it) (while not fixing the FUCKING HOLE IN THE CHEST!!!)?
Tumblr media
His 22 sons and NONE of his daughters. #misogyny
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Someone loved Kerubim as much as Joris does.

Today's the anniversary for me! ✨
I know the Mario Movie was released on April 5th 2023, but back then I was seeing the Holy Week processions with my dad, so I didn't get to go to the cinema until April 8th, which was a Saturday, and that was when everything changed for me 😌💚❤️
This is going to get a bit long, personal and emotional, so it's totally fine if you'd rather not read it! 💖
As I've mentioned, this movie saved my life simply because I was in a terrible place when it came out. Admittedly, I had been feeling a bit better that week thanks to the fact I was going out every day and was distracted and such, but my mind was still not totally... fine.
Until, at 8PM, the Mario Movie finally started and I spent the next hour and a half with a silly smile on my face, feeling like a little kid again and experimenting lots of feelings and emotions I hadn't felt in many months. Happiness. Joy. Laughter. A warm heart. Tension. Pure emotion. Excitement. Nostalgia. The urge to cry, though not from sadness.
And the need to get those cute brothers off the screen and give them each a big bear hug.
Tumblr media
(Posted this edit on my Instagram account last Friday.)
Mario and Luigi did really save my life. I had already fallen for them long ago, when I was 13 and played Superstar Saga on my GBA, since that was the very first game that made me see these two as endearing and charming characters with a beautiful sibling bond based not only on love, but also trust, laughter and comfort.
And, in all honesty, seeing this movie, seeing that bond translated into it, was totally a dream come true. Aside from the M&L games, we don't really get to see much of these two taking care of each other (please correct me if I'm mistaken!). Also, I'm a 90s girl, so I had been wanting a good animated Mario movie since... I honestly can't remember. All I know is I used to watch the cartoons (specifically the one based on Super Mario Bros 3), and then I ran into the live action movie from 1993 and... Welp. Let's just say I'd rather forget it 😬 (Sorry if you did like it, it simply was NOT my cup of tea.)
And then this movie was announced, and every new trailer made me feel more and more hyped, and reminded me of my love for the Super Mario franchise. I had already been hyperfixated on it back in 2013-2016, when I played Dream Team and fell even harder for them (especially Luigi), and when I finally got to see this movie, that obsession came back stronger than ever.
I felt like a little child again. I went back to play my old favorite games. I listened to the ost on loop for months, and it ended up becoming my most listened album on Spotify last year.
And I also felt the urge to write again.
Writing has always been an important part of my life. I started at 8 and I simply couldn't stop. To me, it is like breathing, so when I spend some time away from writing, I'm not exaggerating when I say I feel a physical pain on my chest. And due to the bad place I was in, I had been away from it for way too many months.
It turns out all I needed was a dose of brotherly love in order to feel my fingertips tingling again with the urgent need to start writing.
So yeah. There are many things I have to celebrate today and to be thankful for. First of all: I'm alive, and happy, and better than ever, still struggling with anxiety and fears but feeling way better than I'd felt in the years before this film came out. I feel emotion, and joy, and will to continue living and enjoying life and fangirling and being myself. I feel connected to Mario and Luigi and my heart simply warms up every single time I think about them (which is 24/7 tbh).
And I'm writing again! 2023 was the year I've written the most in my entire life, and I owe it to this wonderful movie, and so far I've continued to write this year too, and that's also thanks to Mario and Luigi.
And of course, and more importantly, this film has led me to meet all of you, beautiful people, and I honestly couldn't be more grateful 🥹🫂💖 With you I can fangirl and scream and cry and be myself, and that's why I felt like sharing this with you guys, because I know you understand and share the feelings I've experimented these months since I first saw this movie. I love each and one of you with all my heart 💖💖💖
And after talking non-stop, I believe I kinda feel like finally showing my face here (the real one, not this one 😂), so... Here I go! 🤭👇
Tumblr media
This is me today! 🤭 With lots of Mario stuff as you can see, and I even painted my nails to match the main characters! 💅
Tumblr media
The blue is for Toad, the pink is for Peach, green and red for Luigi and Mario (obviously) and black for Bowser since he was played by Jack Black! 😁
Admittedly, I'm not very good at painting my nails because I'm not into makeup and such, but I do like to see them all painted, I think they look beautiful 🥰 Last year I used to paint them red and green all the time since I went not once, not twice, but thirteen times to see this movie, and every time wearing a different shirt 🤭 Though the one I'm wearing today is the one I wore exactly one year ago, as you can see here! 😁
Tumblr media
I literally cannot remember when or where I bought it, but it was simply PERFECT to wear to go see this movie 😁 And you bet, when the Toad guard said that quote from the first Super Mario game, I went all silly in the cinema: "OMG my shirt!!!!!" 😂😂😂
And here are some pics from some of the other twelve times I went, and you can get a look at some of the Mario shirts I own! I may go and show them all together in a different post, and maybe also the earrings since I own a lot: red shrooms, superstars, fire flowers, green shrooms... Would you like that? 🥰
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now that I see it, I look a bit scared on the first one 😂 The green shirt I'm wearing on the second one is pure GOLD, and on the third one I kinda felt like I was taking a picture with Mario himself 😂😂😂
I did own some Mario merch before the movie came out, but last year I went and bought tons of it, including shirts, earrings, and of course plushies! 🤭
Tumblr media
They look like a cute little family OMG aren't they ADORABLE I love them all so so much 😭❤️💚✨
So this is it! This is my little celebration of the first year since I saw for the first time the movie that saved my life 🥰 In all honestly, I would've liked to bring a fic or something, but as you all know, I went through a very hard Holy Week and I'm still not feeling totally ready to get back to writing (even though I've gotten a couple new ideas, for which I'm deeply grateful).
But I hope sharing my experience and feelings (and my face! 😂) is enough for this year, and let's hope I can bring a new Mario story to share with you guys very soon! 🥰
I love you all so so so so so so so so so so much!!!!! 💖💖💖💖💖

Here's some random headcannons I've thought about Luka for a while
♡ He's not that well liked in his own class and only gets along with a select few at school, and the people he gets along with are the sorts friends you have at school but you don't hang out outside of school if that makes sense?
♡ He's a bisexual king cough cough lukadrien
♡ Also I remember reading a fanfic in a different fandom where they found out their crush was their dad fuck I truly hope Luka didn't have a thing for Jagged yikes
♡ He and Juleka just hang out, paint each others toe nails, dye each others hair, Juleka just uses Luka as a lab rat doing his hair, makeup, maybe even drawing sharpie tattoos on him, but Luka just likes seeing her doing something creative and encouraging her so is more than happy to be said lab rat
♡ Luka respects everybody's music taste, and truly tries to understand every kind of music someone creates/likes even if he isn't partial to it
♡ Anarka raised her twins on the classics; Nirvana, the sex pistols, the cure, the who, Metallica, motley crüe
♡ Both Ju and Luka went through that BVB emo phase, I'm talking full on Andy Sixx makeup, unironically rarw xDing, wearing the billion band wristbands Luka totally still wears some of his
♡ Anarka raised both the twins to live your own life, love who you love, play what's in your heart
♡ Luka has a lot of strong opinions on certain things, and whilst he will always respect and validate someone's different opinion as much as be can he always sticks to his own morals
♡ Luka occasionally does graffiti to promote these morals
♡ He's ran from the cops before for getting caught spray painting ACAB under a bridge
♡ His forgiving nature means he automatically trusts everyone and wants to give them a fair chance, so all of the built up frustration and sadness from being neglected by his own father all of those years is buried under a layer of fake happiness, he hides how he truly feels to give his dad a chance but a strong part of him wants to not forgive him as easy but it just isn't Luka's nature
♡ He's fascinated with bugs, he used to collect them as a child and study them, draw them, watch them, eat them
♡ He has a small following on YouTube for posting covers of popular songs, he isn't that big as he isn't regular with uploading as he just does it when he feels like it
♡ Luka's music taste varies it can go from political pop punk like Mindless Self Indulgence, to more hard-core sounding music like Rob Zombie or Slipknot, only to switch to sadboy sound cloud like lil peep, to then soft pop punk like Paramore, then one minute he's sat listening to old Disney playlists, his music taste is so versatile
♡ Luka definitely obsessed with the camp rock movies as a kid, like him and Ju would sing and dance out all the songs together, always on repeat
♡ I like to think Luka is vegetarian just because either he felt kinda bad eating meat, or Mylenne converted him somewhere down the line
♡ Luka always keeps a spare pair of headphones, a spare guitar pic, and a notebook and pen for lyrics, with him at all times
♡ After his break-up with Mari he started writing sad, heartbreak songs, he wasn't trying to be that cringey but it's all that would come out.
♡ He refuses to play them though, because they're that sad that probably even Chloe would shed a tear hearing them, and he would never want Mari to feel guilty for hurting him in such a bad way
It's 3 am now so ima stop but I have so many Luka crack hc's it's crazy so ill post some more later

Bad dreams
Your best friend and flatmate had a nightmare and needs some comfort (pining)
((rn I don't have the strength to proofread, be patient with me pls.
Originally I wanted to do osamu and akaashi too, but I felt uninspired, might do them another time though))
☁️
Miya Atsumu
You feel a gentle hand on your shoulder, forcing you to reluctantly open your eyes.
"'Tsumu" you murmur groggy, trying to focus your gaze on him, "Are you okay?". Usually you would be angrier at someone waking you up, but you know your best friend.
Atsumu doesn't like to ask for help, at this point you know it well, you've seen him mask his vulnerability with a smile or a smirk or even anger many times. During those times you just sit silently beside him, sometimes you offer him food, sometimes a distraction, always trying to be kind but without pitying him (or at least what he thought what pitying someone was).
So when he wakes you up in the middle of the night, with the expression that he has, you know something's up.
"Sorry for waking you up", he sheepishly scratches his neck, looking at the floor for a second.
Atsumu is a strong man, tall, with large shoulders, the t-shirt and shorts he wears as a pyjama shows muscly arms and thick thighs. Though, with his messy hair and sad expression, he reminds you of a lost child. It's quite a rare sight, and it makes your heart sink into your chest.
"I had a bad dream" he continues "don't really wanna talk about it, but can I sleep here?".
You can't help but nod, scooting over to make some space for him in bed. The volleyball player doesn't waste any time, wrapping his arms around you, his head on your chest, your hands automatically strokes his blonde locks. There are no words, just the sound of his breath.
You're used to atsumu being touchy, it was his way to show affection with you, he was better with actions than words, it's a blessing and a curse at the same time. At this point you can't live without the comforting weight of him on you while watching a movie on the couch, the way he links his pinky with yours in a crowded street, how he massages your shoulders when you're stressed.
You're used to it, addicted even, but it also hurts, because you know it's just meant as friends and nothing more. And lately you've tried to ignore the thoughts of maybe wanting to have him as something more.
Oikawa Tooru
You lay on your side, staring at the wall in front of you, even though he's still you can feel his weight on the mattress, it's almost like you can sense his warmth seeping into your skin. Why are you so nervous? You're just sharing your bed with your best friend, nothing more.
You just wish the things between you two were normal again, for some reason unknown to you the volleyball player's behavior has been weird lately.
His busy schedule was nothing new to you, nonetheless he always found time, whether it was just a short walk and ice cream, watching a movie or just drinking something warm thogheter after he showered. You even asked Iwaizumi if there was something wrong, but you were left with more questions than answers.
"Are you awake?", your train of thoughts is interrupted by tooru's meek voice. You hesitate for a second, but then you just turn to face him, it's just stronger than you.
You feel your face getting warm, he's closer than you thought, you hate yourself for feeling this way. It's not like your best friend never touched you, he often playfully bumped your shoulder while passing by you in the apartment, you often layed your legs on his lap while watching tv, he was also a hugger. You always complained about him being clingy and whiny, wanting a hug after every match, you always told him that he was sweaty and stinky, though you always leaned into his touch, now you can't remember the last time you felt his arms around you.
"What's worng?" you ask, looking at his face, not sure of what you should do, usually you would stroke his hair or smooth your fingers over his back, but lately he's been avoiding you and your touch, even though he was the one who asked to sleep in your bad because he had a nightmare.
"I'm sorry I've been acting weird lately", it's a whisper, "I've just being lost in my thoughts... and I'm having nightmares". You can tell the brunette's telling the truth, but you feel like he's still hiding something from you.
"You don't have to talk about it, if you don't want to", you sigh, "But if I did something wrong, please, tell me", your voice cracks a little bit, you close your eyes for a second, trying to find some composure.
"Hey, what are you talking about? You did nothing wrong", his hands are cupping your face, calloused pads stroking your cheeks. "I've been such an idiot, making you worry like that" he sighs, laying his forehead against yours, you can't help but lean into his touch, feeling your face getting warmer, which doesn't go unnoticed.
"Are you okay? You're face is really warm", his tone isn't tesing though, just worried. "I'm fine", you gently take his hands, making him release your face, "You're the one who's here because you needs comfort, not me".
"So", this time the volleyball player's tone is lighter, more playful, "since I'm the one who needs comfort", "Yeah?", "Can I ask you to be the big spoon?". "Yeah", you giggle a little up, "you can ask me that", you take his shoulders and make him turn, then you wrap your arms around his sides, giving him a kiss on the nape of his neck.
"I've missed you, tooru"
"I've missed you too"
"Make me worry like this again and I'll kill you".
Suna Rintarou
"Still problems with insomnia, huh?", you're startled by rin's voice, you didn't expect him to walk into your shared kitchen at 3 am.
"Another nightmare?" you ask, diverting your eyes from the boiling water to look at him, "Yep", he makes the final p pop.
"I'm making some herbal tea, you want some?", you point at little pot on the stove, "Why not?", he sits at the table, you feel his green eyes on you.
"Which tea are you making this time?", rin wasn't really a fan of your herbal teas, but he always accepted when you offered them, he even made one for himself one day, when you were out of town and he missed you. Actually, he did it everytime he missed you and you weren't around, luckily for him you rarely left the apartment for a long time, you never found out about some missing tea bags.
"Lavander", you smile tired, "people say it helps with sleep, it tastes good, smells good. Oh, look how cute the packaging is" you add, pointing at the pastel lavander package, smiling a little bit more.
Cute, rin thinks to himself, referring to you. He couldn't care less about the tea packaging, but he found you so adorable.
"So", you sit at the table with two mugs, offering him one, "What did you dream this time? If I can ask". The volleyball player takes tha mug in his hands, letting the warmth of it seep into his skin, though he prefers when you take his hands in yours to help him feel less cold.
"Nothing special", he looks at you taking a sip of tea, trying to not stare at your lips, "the usual stuff". You nod, resting your head on your hand, "Do you think lavander tea helps? I mean with sleep", you avoid his eyes, "I feel so tired" you sigh.
"If it does, I'll directly inject it in my veins" he jokes, you laugh a little bit, "I think I still prefer to drink it", you yawn,"it tastes good".
"Of course it tastes good, you add so much sugar", he boops your nose. "That's...possibly true", you sigh before taking another sip, "Maybe if you add something sweet, you'll nightmare will go away" you pout. "I don't think my doctor would agree" he snorts, "Plus", something shifts in his eyes, "I already live with you and I still get nightmares".
You feel your face getting warm, did he really insinuate that you were sweet? Was it one of his way of teasing you, it could be, but it also feels weirdly honest.
"Don't tease me, rin", you shriek before resting your head on the table, feeling your heart beating faster, and it's not because of the sugar.

Okay absolute crackpost time, bear with me
Recently I made a lil post about how the party would react to the classic "when life gives you lemons" situation but even before I wrote that there's a super silly idea that's been on my mind forever.
I desperately want some Wheeler siblings interactions that include Holly now that she's a bit older, so an idea came to me.
Halloween of '87, Karen and Ted had allowed Holly to go trick or treating without them, as long as she stayed close to Mike and Nancy. Mike really didn't wanna babysit his sister, especially not on halloween, when he had plans to watch some scary movies with the party (and maybe use it as an excuse to get close to Will when he got scared), but deep down he loves his sisters and he has a soft spot for Holly. He's her big brother, so it's his mission to always be there to protect her, so he eventually agrees to go with them and Holly gets super excited about it, she can't and won't stop talking about it.
Holly is the Wheeler's little princess, and she's a sucker for dressing up and putting on her fake tiaras and make up that barely has any pigment. Nancy was a bit to old to play dress up, but in some occasions she did her make up with her real products, it was a nice bonding moment when her plastic fake family felt a little more real, after Holly went downstairs to show how pretty she looked, with barely any reaction from their father and a small photo session by Karen Wheeler.
She had managed to pull both Nancy and Mike into her dress up moment, and she was gonna take that opportunity and run with it. Holly had her costume planned months ago, she was gonna be Sleeping Beauty with that pretty and sparkly pink costume dress her Nana got her for her birthday, and she was decided to keep up her theme. She talked with Nancy about how they should be the trio of Disney Princesses, and since she was the going as the most recent princess it only made sense for her big sister to go as the first princess ever, and that's how Nancy Wheeler ended up dressed as Snow White as a twenty year old. Jonathan found it pretty adorable when she told him, reminiscing how he also had some matching costumes with Will when he was little.
But convincing her sister to dress up like a princess with her was easy. Now came the hardest part of her little master plan. She and Nancy went to talk to Mike, who was in his basement, as usual. Holly started explaining her idea, and while cheesy, Mike thought that dressing up as a prince for her little sister wasn't the worst thing that could happen to him.
But Holly didn't want a prince. She wanted her trio of princesses. And the second princess' spot was reserved for the second child.
"Absolutely not!" Mike's response was immediate. He wasn't gonna go around Hawkins, trick or treating with his sisters in a ballgown dress. No way. But Holly didn't fret, she expected that reaction.
"But Nancy is dressing up too! We need the middle princess!" Holly begged. Mike was still shaking his head. "...And I know blue is your favorite color, so I kept that one for you."
Ouch. Holly was using her puppy eyes stare, the one that melted mom and dad even in the toughest situations. Mike knew it was on purpose and he didn't wanna back down, but he'd be damned if he was gonna let his baby sister be sad on halloween night. Her first proper halloween night. Some of Mike's fondest memories were of previous halloweens, laughing with his friends and having way too much sugar in one night. But dressing up in a sparkly blue dress all night? It was too much.
"Do you remember that time I dressed up as an elf for one of your D&D games? I did that in front of your friends, and I stayed in character the whole time. If I could do that for a whole day, you can spend less than three hours in a princess dress." Touché. This was Holly's second weapon, Nancy making sassy remarks right into Mike's ego. If one thing was clear is that Mike never backed down from that. Making sassy comments was his thing, and both girls knew how to use that in their advantage. For a seven year old, Holly was suspiciously smart and skilled in getting her way, she knew exactly where to hit, and that tiny soft spot Mike had for her eventually made him surrender.
"Fffffffine... I'll do it. Just for one night though." Holly's smile was huge, and Nancy had a smirk on her face. "You only need one night. After that your carriage is back into being a pumpkin." Nancy laughed, going up the stairs. "Hilarious, Nance. Really funny." Mike's voice was monotone, knowing this was only the first of many jokes to come. Holly went up to Mike and gave him a hug, planting a small kiss on his cheek. "Thanks, Mike! This is gonna be so much fun!" Holly went up the stairs too, with a skip in her step. Mike heard how she immediatly went to tell their mom, clearly not trying to keep her voice down.
He let a out a defeated sigh, collapsing back into the sofa. And that is how Mike Wheeler ended up dressing up as Cinderella as a sixteen year old.
Wow okay this was supposed to be just a silly idea but ended up as a whole ficlet but tbh I'm kinda proud of how it turned out.
This was barely scratching the surface, I still have the idea of the party's reaction after they find out Mike is dressing up as a princess for halloween, and how in an attemp to definetly not miss that glorious moment they decide to scrap their costume ideas and do something Disney related so they can blend in with Holly and also laugh at Mike right to his face (affectionately). But I'm having waaay too much fun with this so I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna pick this idea and run, turning it into a proper fanfic because I desperately wanna write the dialoge of Max, Lucas and Dustin laughing their asses off, Eleven being geniuenly excited to dress up as something Disney as I imagine Max introduced her recently to the classics, and most of all I wanna write Will's internal struggle of realising the boy he likes is about to dress up as a princess and how insanely funny that is, but also not wanting to laugh too much about it so that Mike isn't too upset about it. Mike is already regretting the moment he opened his mouth suggesting to accompany Holly and the party CANNOT wait for halloween night to come, because they already know it's gonna be one of their best ones.
Yeah so that's it, if you managed to reach all the way down here hi omg ily <3 and it would mean the world to me if you reply or tag this saying what you thought about it, it's the first time I actually upload any of my fanfics and I don't expect many people to see it but still, ily <3

Missed you...
Chris Evans x Wife!Reader
Summary: Chris surprises you and your son Caleb by coming back home after four weeks as he was away filming his new movie.
Warnings: Romance between a husband and a wife/ Its fluffy/ Smut? No that detailed or heavy/ Grammatical mistakes because english is my second language.
Tumblr media
You were sitting on the couch watching Mickey mouse with your three year old son Caleb. You kinda got used to watch Mickey Mouse as your son loved that show and sometimes watching Mickey mouse was a mother-son bonding time.
Chris has been away for filming his new movie. You and Caleb missed him a lot. He was only away for four weeks but those four weeks felt like a decade to you both. For the first few days, it had been very difficult for Caleb to go to sleep as he wanted his daddy to read bedtime stories. But he calmed down when you told him that his daddy will come to him very soon and when he will come, he will bring a Mickey Mouse soft toy.
Everyday at night, Chris face-timed you and you both would talk about your day and Chris would say goodnight to Caleb. You missed your husband a lot. And same went with Chris. He wanted to go home so bad that he even thought about quitting the project. He felt bad that you were taking care of Caleb all alone. When during face time, you tell him that Caleb was throwing a tantrum, he felt so guilty that you had to go through it all alone. But you always told him that he should not feel guilty like that. The sweet smile that you passed him always made him feel better.
Your phone rang and you picked it up from the coffee table. You saw that it was Chris who was face timing you. You felt a blast of happiness in your heart and picked up the phone. "Hello, baby" Chris' smooth voice reached your ears which made you smile. You saw some trees behind Chris, maybe he was in a park or something taking a walk."Hello Chris" you said giving him a sweet smile. "How're you baby?" He asked, wearing his cap. "I'm just missing my husband!" You pouted sadly, "aww,my love, i'm missing you too" he said in a sad voice. "How is Caleb?" He asked, "He is missing his daddy!" You said looking at your now sleeping child. "Tell him 'i love him' and i love you" Chris sent you a soft smile. "And i love you" you smiled. "When are you coming back home?" You asked, "Uhh...about that..." Chris took a pause and then started speaking again. "I have too stay here for one more week, love, i'm sorry" he said. Your heart broke and you felt like crying. You just missed your husband so much. "Chris" you sighed. "My love, i also don't want to stay here, i want to hug you, kiss you and i just want to be with my family" Chris mumbled sadly. You looked at your son and then sighed again. "Okay, bye Chris, i have to make lunch" you said. "Bye my love, taks care" he passed you a small smile and you hanged up the phone.
You started moving your fingers through Caleb's brown hair, which he inherited from his father. You were thinking about Chris and you went into a trance. The doorbell dinged and made you break out of your trance. You went to open the door sighing.
When you opened the door, what you saw literally made your eyes pop out. It was Chris. He was standing there passing you his charming boyish smile, his one hand holding his suitcase and the other holding a paper bag. You swung at him like a koala bear and smashed your lips against him. He kissed you back and pushed you inside the house. Chris closed the door, his hands trailing up and down your body. Gosh!you missed that feeling of his hands.
You both pulled away from the kiss, all breathless and with swollen lips. "Chris?" You breathed out surprised as he just told you few minutes ago that he was not coming home for one more week. "I wanted to surprise you baby, i guess i did a nice job" he winked at you which made you giggle. Gosh!Chris missed listening to that giggle of yours. "You did Mr Evans" you teased and he pulled you close to him by your waist. He just grinned and squeezed your Ass cheeks which made you slap his chest, a blush crept on your cheeks.
"Guess someone missed me a lot" you teased him and he just smirked. "Hmm...and who used to send me their nudes?" He teased you back. "Ohh, and who was that who used to send me their Hard cock's photos?" You smirked and tugged at his brown hair. "You gonna see how much i missed you tonight love" he growled and kissed you hard.
"Daddy!" A small voice broke your kiss and looked that your son who was running towards Chris. "Buddy" Chris picked him up and hugged him tightly."I missed you Daddy" Caleb said and kissed Chris' cheek. "Missed you too Buddy" Chris smiled at him. "And i got something for you" Chris set Caleb back on the floor and gave him the paper bag. Caleb impatiently searched the paper bag and pulled out a Mickey Mouse soft toy. He got so happy. He thanked his daddy and went and sat on the couch, playing with the soft toy.
"And you,Sexy girl... i'll give you your gift at night" Chris winked at you and you started blushing.

The new animated Monkey King movie is out today on Netflix. I think its might be good, the interview I saw with the people who worked on it seem to understand what the monkey all about!!!!
OKAY so now having seen it I will say anon that while it certainly wasn't my favorite retelling out there, was definitely aimed at little kids with all that implies, did have a number of figures that were done dirty (poor Jade Emperor once again), was pretty generic, was definitely western-ized, and along with that did have some of the more annoying traits when it comes to western retellings of Xiyouji (seriously can someone please explain why so many western creators are set on making Sun Wukong illiterate it's been plain weird for awhile now), I did find it an overall decent film! The animation was pretty fun and flashy, and it's always a treat with the Monkey King is allowed to be violent <3. I also did appreciate that while this film largely went with a "selfish jerk" characterization, there wasn't any of that people yelling at the Monkey King about how horrible he is while he stands there looking sad, but he was allowed to snarl back that he's selfish because no one cares about him but him, and well we do see from his backstory that there's a lot of truth to that sentiment here. "Selfish jerk" Sun Wukong is far from my favorite, but it felt reasonable for this Monkey King iteration. I actually felt that that was pretty decently reflected in his child companion Lin as well, who's (SPOILER ALERT) intent on tricking and stealing from the Monkey King, but she has a very good reason for doing so. So yay! Baby's first encounter with gray morality haha. So overall I'd agree with the critics who say this film's plot is quite generic in a lot of ways and kind of disappointing because of that, but it does do a pretty good job of dealing with the theme of hubris, its potential consequences and potential origins for its intended child audience, and I'd say it's worth watching at least once.
