Summary: After posting on a subreddit looking for people to play a new game with, you received a new friend request.

AC: Here is something a little different to my usual works! I hope you enjoy this, I found it pretty fun to write!

It was Friday night, you had a weekend off from work and had planned to sit down with plenty of snacks and binge play a new video game you just treated yourself too. The only downside was that all your friends that you played video games with were either busy this weekend or had no interest in playing the new game you'd been waiting so long to play.

With a sigh and nerves kicking around in your stomach you decide to post on a subreddit asking if anybody else would like somebody to play with over the weekend. It wasn't something you'd done before but you liked playing games with friends more than playing solo.

Hours had past and your phone was left dry, not a single notification from anybody reacting to your post. Another sigh left your body as you tossed your phone to the side and decided to turn your PS4 off.

The notification stared at you deeply as the feeling of excitement and relief soon filled you. You punched in your passcode and quickly accepted the strangers friend request.

Friday night soon faded into the early hours of Saturday morning, plenty of laughs and jokes were made between you and your new friend, Kate. You learnt a lot about her, you felt comfortable with her even though she technically is still a stranger online, you both planned to meet for pizza for lunch.

Who knew that a simple post online would lead to you making a new friend.

what  made  you  pick  up  the  current  muse(s)  you  have?   i  first  played  ffxv  back  in  the  fall  of  2017  and  fell  head  over  heels  in  love  with  the  game.  to  this  day  i  don’t  think  there’s  ever  been  a  cast  of  characters  that’s  had  such  a  lasting  impact  on  me  as  the  boys  have,  and  at  this  point  ever  will.  i  actually  first  started  off  writing  prompto,  sometime  in  early  2018  and  shortly  thereafter  kind  of  fizzled  out  of  that  because  i  was  new  and  super  shy  and  didn’t  really  know  anyone  in  the  community.  i  was  around  18/19  then  and  actually  took  a  break  from  tumblr  for  a  little  while,  but  always  kept  in  touch  with  the  xv  community  on  twitter/instagram  so  the  love  i  had  never  went  away.  fast  forward  to  2020  and  after  replaying  the  game  i  decided  to  pick  up  noctis  who  at  that  point  had  been  my  end  all  comfort  character  for  a  few  years.  he very quickly became my little pincushion and then unintentionally a processing tool i used to process a lot of issues in my own life. i notice  a  lot  of  nuance  in  my  old  notes  and  ramblings  that  100%  reflect  my  struggles  at that  time and its like huh! wow! didnt know it did that. regardless, noctis is the muse i hold most dearly to my heart and someone i will love for the rest of my life. < he 3

is  there  anything  you  don’t  like  to  write?  ive  seen  it  all  brother.  i  can  be  convinced  with  one  skimmed  over  ao3  tag  and  then  some.  regardless,  i  don’t  have  any  hard  no’s  that  aren’t  the  incredibly  obvious,  and  i  think  rp  is  a  great  way  to  develop  and  analyze  your  likes  and  dislikes  in  a  safe  environment.  it’s  okay  to  be  into  something  in  one  thread  and  then  change  your  mind  later,  that’s  something  i  had  to  learn  the  long  way  but  i'm  better  off  for  it!

is  there  anything  you  really  enjoy  writing?  i  really  love  angst.  not  sure  what  happened  developmentally  to  get  here  but  we’re  here.  i  think  that  shows  a  lot  in  my  preferred  range  of  media  i  write  in  (or  just  consume  casually,)  there’s  just  a  certain….  je  ne  sai  quoi  🤌  in  writing  your  character  going  through  the  absolute  extremes  of  the  human  experience.  besides  that,  i  really  go  crazy  with  character  analysis/general  meta.  i  love  to  deep  dive  into  mundane  (or  otherwise)  aspects  of  a  character  and  build  up  traits  to  fully  flesh  out  a  muse. 

do  you  write  in  silence  or  do  you  play  music?  i  need  complete  silence  or  i  will  literally  never  finish  a  sentence.  i  am  way  too  scatterbrained  to  focus  on  two  things  at  once  and  need  to  lock  the  fuck  in  when  i’m  writing  a  reply.

last  show  you  watched?  i  love  a  good  netflix  documentary  and  i  just  finished  one  called  the  program:  cons,  cults  and  kidnapping,  which  was  about  exposing  the  troubled  teen  industry.  it’s  a  super  interesting  watch  but  deals  with  quite  a  few  heavy  topics  so  if  you’re  interested  please  heed  caution!   i  also  just  started  american  nightmare,  but  im  only  about  30-ish  minutes  into  the  first  episode….  gotta  lock  in.

My JP Visit (Starting with this most recent one)

There are times where I'm visiting JP Ship 2, the ship in the JP servers that started my PSO2 journey. Of course.... the account I use isn't what I started with... So backstory...

Sometime a bit after the Xbox E3 announcement that PSO2 would come to the west with the Xbox One, and then later Windows 10, I downloaded PSO2 on my PS4. At the time, I didn't have a PC that can run it because I was using my dad's pc cause my old PC was being weird with heating and stuff. That, and my dad's PC's hard drive at the time was dying, so PC was not an option to me back then.

Whether it was on PC or PS4, I was set to move from JP to Global when the PC version released, so I stuck around till that faitful day. Of course, I did do the predownload, so it got some additional time for me to play more of PSO2JP, and then uninstall it when I start Global, or NA as it was called back then.

On PS4, back then, I used what was called "Simple Login", which skipped logging into a SEGA ID account, and pretty much bound my PSN account as the login. As such, I no longer have access to that account anymore today, cause of the IP block on NGS, that and VPNs don't quite exist on PS4.

On PC, sometime back, wither this year or last year, I finally use that SEGA ID I initially made to use on PS4. Using the Tweaker, as that's the only way I'll be able to get in the JP servers today, I made a new account called "GL_Emil" and attempted to recreate Emil, my main, as she currently looked like in Global at that time. Since at that time Slayer wasn't released, I stuck with Braver. Then now recently, I am transitioning my main class to Slayer. I am struggling, cause... well... lack of good gear will do that, but I'm enjoying the challenge that's given to me.

Currently, as of this blog post, and it's long, I am in the Sita Region, trying to get through the Driesen Plant to do some Yellows, probably, to level up Slayer more.

So the main question...

Why did I visit JP after so long in the first place?

Well... If you want my honest opinion, it was to see if my older account, that's the same name as my currently Global account, is still there, and surprisingly, the Lookbook is. Which is a start, so it's still there. I also came to visit some friends from Phasion Arks. I don't go on JP much, but it's nice to get that nostalgic feeling again, despite now seeing things in a different way since JP and Global are all different. O.o

When I moved from PSO2JP, it was before Luster was released. So when Luster was released, and brought to Global, I was in unfamiliar territory, that and my Global self long since overtaken my JP self. So it's a good idea to let JP "Emil Sato" rest and have a visiting "Emil" come by and visit some friends.

Also she looks similar to younger Emil, before I made her look older, because I didn't have all the stuff needed to make older Emil. So in a sense, I could do a lore thing where Emil was dreaming of being in another reality or something. Ehh... who knows.

I dreamt last night that Call of Duty added a mode where you had to play chess during matches.

So, last night I dreamt that in a new update to CODMW2022 and Warzone, there was a new series of modes called “chess swap”. The way it worked was that in say, a normal game of 6v6 Team Deathmatch, 1 player from each team would be whisked away to play chess while the remaining teams played 5v5. Every time a player died in that 5v5 space, they’d be swapped with their team member who was playing chess.

As an example, lets say a team deathmatch round starts. From Team A, the game picks coolwali and from team B it picks westsalt10 to play chess while the rest of the team battles it out in a typical team deathmatch. If rando_23 from Team B were to get killed during the 5v5, then he’d swap places with westsalt10 in the chess game. So then it would be coolwali from team A vs rando_23 from Team B playing chess while westsalt10 was back in the 5v5 Team Death Match.

The match then continues until either a team wins the Team Deathmatch by getting to the target score, or someone gets the checkmate.

In my first game in this new mode, I got killed and then replaced my team member who had only played e4 thus far. I took over for him but immediately had to resign because my opponent managed to get a knight and bishop and queen targeting my F pawn. As a result, my entire team lost the Team Deathmatch in 23 seconds. I received quite a few angry PSN messages from my teammates complaining I lost them the game so quickly (one of them even called me a rock n****er because I was dumb as a rock?). I then blocked them and queued into a Ground War match.

In that game, the match actually lasted a long time, I’d play in the FPS mode for a few minutes, then die and be whisked away to the chess game where I’d play a move or two before someone on my team would die and I’d be back to shooting.

At around the 15-minute mark, my team was down 24-189 with 200 being the score for victory. It seemed our team was about to lose. I then died and was back in Chess mode where I saw the position was unwinnable so I managed to draw the chess game by repetition. As a result, the match as a whole was an instant draw. I was happy that at least I didn’t lose the game for the team this time. Apparently, there was even an achievement for getting a draw when the game was otherwise losing called “stalemate is victory”.

This one will be long!

In June of 2011, Worms Reloaded would recieve several paid DLC packs. A Worms 2: Armageddon port with the DLC included for free getting paid DLC later on, that's how they get ya. These DLC packs would be made available later on at separate dates for XBLA and PSN.

First off was the "Pre-Order Forts and Hats DLC Pack", which contains 10 forts and 6 hats that were only available to players who pre-ordered the game. It was made available to be purchased by anyone in May 2011 (i know i lied and said they were all in June just this one and the last one i swear), but was only available for Reloaded and not 2: Armageddon.

Now we get into the big stuff. The "Retro Pack" was the first of the 4 DLC released on June 30th 2011. It adds 3 new hats and 3 new gravestones based off of classic Worms games, as well as the new "Retro Hell" landscape which is based off of Hell in Worms 1, but with different more "pixelly" objects for some reason. In addition, a new campaign is added consisting of 15 missions from Worms Armageddon, with their maps also being available to play on.

I love the retros.

After this is the "Time Attack Pack", which adds a new Time Attack mode, consisting of 20 levels of rope and jet racing. It also adds 3 new hats, 3 new speech banks and 3 new gravestones, alongside a time attack themed landscape.

Next is the "Forts Pack" and as the name implies, it's all about forts. It adds 10 new forts alongside, once again, 3 new hats, speech banks and gravestones each. A new campaign is also featured, with 20 new missions that all take place on forts. A new landscape is also added, based on, you guesed it, forts.

And lastly, the "Puzzle Pack". It adds Puzzle Mode, with 20 new puzzles. You get the idea by now, 3 new hats, 3 speech banks, 3 gravestones and a puzzle themed landscape.

Well, technically, there was one more. The "Mayhem Pack" was released for free on September 7th, 2011. It was made to promote the then upcoming Worms Ultimate Mayhem, and therefore was based on Worms 4: Mayhem, which Ultimate Mayhem is a remaster of. It has 3 new landscapes based off of the themes of that game's landscapes (conveniently, all the other themes are represented in the base game's landscapes), as well as 3 hats, 3 speech banks and 3 gravestones. It was only a patch for Reloaded instead of a full on DLC, but Worms 2: Armageddon did get it later on as a DLC.

Worms Reloaded would later receive a deluxe edition called Worms Reloaded: Game of the Year Edition which featured the base game with all of the DLC. A "Game of the Year Upgrade Pack" bundle which featured all of the DLC for players who already owned Reloaded was also released. Worms 2: Armageddon got a Game of the Year Edition and Upgrade Pack later down the line.

I think it was on there when the steam factory map or whatever it was got patched in not long after release. We have posted more information about the next build for those that want to read specific information on the modifications we've made to the character and games systems to date (see ). It was on Game Pass at one point because me and one of my friends played it quite a bit. We understand that the people that have read the various comments we've made about our plans to try to get the next build of the game finished before August will be disappointed that we haven't been able to, but it is important that the key character features (climbing, kicking, and stomping) are fully implemented, balanced, and stable for the new stages and environments to work.

We have had several meetings in the last few days to review the progress made on the next build (see the current change log below for specific information) and spoken with our partners and have set the official release date for Early Access as the 29th August. We have postponed fully implementing the stamina system (for limiting the force of successive punches after a specified number of punches have been thrown) as we need to play test it more.We have been working to get the next build of Gang Beasts made for release on Steam Early Access, we wanted to do this for the end of July but there is still additional work we need to do on the game and the Steam page before we can publish the next build of the game. I have not played the Tales games yet becuase I was waiting for them to finish the series and hope they are released on PSN rather than getting them on the Wii. Since adding voice they have kept the same actors, but it sounded like "tales" used new voice actors. Secret never had a voice cast, I was refering to the voice actors that were added later as the series was expanded.

Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight: Now this is a series I'd never heard of before starting on this list, but apparently the Momodora games are highly regarded by those who have encountered them. Like many Indie games on this year's list, it seems built for speedrunning. It was created by Matt Thorson, best known for the Jumper series and more recently for TowerFall Ascension, and features some challenging vertical platforming in a series of compact stages. Not that it's a bad thing.Ĭeleste: This is going down the freeware Indie rabbit hole some, as a game made specifically for the fantasy console "Pico-8", which seems to be a self-imposed challenge by and for Indie developers to make games for a fake console with the screen size of a digital watch or scientific calculator. Sometimes, these speedrun choices seem like commercials for cool freeware shit that might otherwise get missed. Issyos seems to fit the Castlevania/ Zelda II mold from what I played, or perhaps The Battle of Olympus given the setting, with regular light RPG upgrades and some hidden bonuses as you slice your way through some Ancient Greek mythological creatures. The Curse of Issyos: This is a freeware game by Spanish Indie dev Locomalito, who you might know from last SGDQ's Maldita Castilla - a pseudo-NES homage to Ghouls N' Ghosts. Then again, the whole group of games that follow - which include a lot of risible licensed platformers like Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy: The Mis-Edventures and Barbie Game Girl - seem suspiciously like the "Awful Games Done Quick" block that GDQ events usually have. (They also did Money Puzzle Exchanger, that old favorite of Ryan's and Jeff's.) It looks rudimentary as heck - a first effort of a fledgling studio - but I imagine there's something to it if it was selected for a speedrun. The Rapid Angel: This is one of those Japan-only PS1 games that was ported intact, no localization or anything, by MonkeyPaw for international PSN stores. I mean, how many more times are we going to be surprised at the same shinespark sequence break or Ocarina of Time warp skip? Twitch has some strict and, dare I say, Byzantine requirements for our wiki pages for them to qualify for their database integration, and I wanted to make sure that the stream's "currently playing game" algorithm went as smoothly as possible for the event coordinators. This year's SGDQ begins on Sunday the 3rd of July, and in preparation I once again took to the wiki to caulk and plaster over any gaps we might have for the sake of the event's Twitch stream. Very recently I discovered the Journey was on Steam! And even more recently, it went on sale for the Lunar New Year.

It's been roughly 10 years since I was able to play this game last on the original hardware (PS3). Honestly, I didn't think I'd ever get the chance to play it again period. I thought it'd be PSN bound forever. I do have a PS4 but I refuse to pay for the online and don't really have energy/space to set it up on my TV. Imagine my excitement when I saw this gem available for the PC and on an app that I already use. How could I not buy it?

My first playthrough was last night and went great. There was a fair amount I remembered. But more than enough that I'd forgotten, giving me plenty of excuses to go through the game several times. I met a few players. A couple I never saw, and three I ran with briefly. I remember this being pretty common back in the day so I wasn't surprised. Still had fun!

But tonight? I only met one. And we went from start to finish together, something I reckon is exceedingly rare. I really cannot remember if this has ever happened to me before. I'd be willing to bet it never did considering the widely varying internet connections and such in 2012.

And not only did they stick with me through the story, together we explored and located a bunch of secrets for achievements, "talking" every step of the way. It was sad to say goodbye, but I will treasure this encounter for a long time. It added one more of the many, many reasons why I cherish this game so closely.

Whoever you were, thank you. You were a true companion and made my night.

Update...😬 IM SO SORRY 😭

Hey y’all...🥺 Sorry for being AWOL. A lot has happened and I also allowed myself to be distracted by someone for months who only had bad intentions. I don’t want to give up on any of my series. I love them too much. I haven’t been in the mood to write for months but I’m trying my best to get back. None of them are completed and I don’t want to leave them incomplete. I work a full time job and I’m also in the process of moving, so it may still be some time before I update anything.

I started writing dark nat and I’m not sure how I feel about it because I was in a dark place. I was in a dark place when I wrote the last part as well. Anyway 2020 and the beginning of 2021 sucked for me and for a long time I couldn’t get out of that dark place. I’d say I’m slowly crawling out of it and yeah that’s that. I’ve also kind of gotten into the Legacies fandom and I want to start writing for that as well. I don’t think it’ll be as explicit because of what it is but hopefully it’ll be good.

I’m on Twitter now and I started one for this blog, same name. Maybe I’ll post stuff for updates and what not and just random marvel things but Twitter is new to me and I still don’t know how to use it 😂 I’m a grandma 👵🏻 I’m getting back into gaming like fortnite and dead by daylight (the latter being super new so I def suck 😅) if anyone wants to play or anything let me know. I stream sometimes and again I’m waiting to settle down in my new place before doing that more seriously. I’ll be living alone for the first time so it’s kind of exciting and scary at the same time.

For a long time tumblr gave me bad memories but dammit I cannot let that continue. I want to make more good memories. The Last of Us Part II – Release Date Reveal Trailer. The game will launch for Playstation 4 on February 21, 2020.

Thank you for being patient with us. Very patient. Even though we’ve been eager to share more about The Last of Us Part II and tell you its release date, we wanted to wait until we were close to wrapping up production and we were confident in the date itself. We have a bunch of new stuff to share with you today… starting with the fact that on February 21, 2020 the Last of Us Part II can finally be in your hands.

We began working on this game over five years ago. It’s hard to describe the immense pressure of following up the first game. We know how much you love this world and its characters—especially Ellie and Joel. Believe me, we’re fans as well. We love them. Which is why we spent years crafting a game that we feel will do them justice, telling a nuanced story that deals with the core question: how far would you go to exact justice against the people that hurt the ones you love? It’s a highly emotional story with complex themes that befit the world of The Last of Us. What we realized pretty early on is that we were putting together Naughty Dog’s most ambitious and longest game in our 35 year history. To tell this kind of story the game needed to be massive. Without spoiling too much, at the top of this post you can watch the brand-new trailer that we debuted earlier today on State of Play, which just scratches the surface of what the game has in store.

Alongside the trailer, we’re thrilled to reveal the various editions of the game, including The Last of Us Part II Standard Edition, Special Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, Collector’s Edition, and Ellie Edition. In collaboration with PlayStation, we worked hard to make sure these versions would be truly special by including content and items drawn from the game and its characters.

Let’s kick things off with the Collector’s Edition, which includes a beautifully crafted 12” Ellie statue, a life-sized replica of Ellie’s bracelet, a custom SteelBook case, 48-page mini art book from Dark Horse, a set of six enamel pins, lithograph art print, and a set of five stickers. The Collector’s Edition also comes with a voucher for digital content, including a PS4 dynamic theme, a set of six PSN avatars, a digital soundtrack, and a digital version of the mini art book.

The Ellie Edition gives you all of the contents of the Collector’s Edition, plus a full-sized, fully functional recreation of Ellie’s backpack, an embroidered patch, and a 7-inch vinyl record featuring music from the original soundtrack. We’ll also have a Special Edition version that features the custom SteelBook case and all of the digital content found in the Ellie Edition and Collector’s Edition.

For those that prefer to go digital, we have the Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes all of the digital content outlined above, as well as a digital copy of the Standard Edition.
