Incident?? What did Jigglypuff do!?

Got into an argument with Dr. Mario about tier list changes; Dr. Mario was speculating on what the balance would be like whenever the third Smash Bros. came around, and said it was almost certain that she would get nerfed and he would get buffed, considering how Melee mainly buffed weaker characters while nerfing stronger ones. Jigglypuff, of course, took issue with this, and with the both of them being the hotheads that they are, both of them were still fuming about it even after dropping the argument.

But, Jigglypuff took it a step further.

She snuck into Master Hand's development office to find something that would get him to change his mind... or get sweet vengeance. While snooping around, she found Master Hand's second beta for the Smash Ball, more colorful and less destructive overall than its first iteration, yet still incredibly unstable. She didn't know anything about it other than what she overheard Master Hand telling Kirby (that breaking it would unleash incredible power so it was very, very important that Kirby not break it). So, naturally, she gave this to Bowser, knowing his beef with the Mario reps. This was the first time Giga Bowser was seen outside of Final Destination.

Unfortunately for Jigglypuff, Dr. Mario, Bowser, Master Hand, and pretty much everyone else, not only had Master Hand not yet figured out how to keep Bowser lucid in his Giga Bowser form, but the Smash Ball's instability caused his power to amplify far beyond its previous limits.

As a result, Giga Bowser went on a rampage and multiple fighters got hurt. Notably, three fighters got injured badly enough that, even with the Smashverse's altered physics, their extensive recovery times meant not being able to participate in Brawl, those being Mewtwo, Roy, and, ironically enough, Dr. Mario. (Mewtwo and Roy's injuries led to the invitation of Lucario and Ike.)

Jigglypuff has definitely chilled out over the years, but she and Dr. Mario still are not fond of each other.

I suppose it is doom-posting, but I'll at least say it's not because I'm actively doom-scrolling, for what that's worth. A few days ago I was going through my drafts and noticed I had some political posts in there that I'd never posted, and upon further reflection I KNEW I had some much older ones buried WAY DOWN in my drafts, and I decided I wanted to get them out there while they're relevant ahead of the election. Some of them are even contemporary to the 2016 election and have just been sitting my drafts all this time -- and the real depressing thing is that they're pretty much all exactly as relevant now as they were then, you can just replace Clinton's name with Harris.

Anyway, I made a post warning folks that I was adding a shitton of political posts to my queue and there'd be a bit of an onslaught over the next few days, but now after the queue has just about run its course, I'm not at all surprised that the warning post got missed, because that's probably like 50 posts ago at this point.

Thank you for reaching out, regardless. To be completely honest, I AM scared about this election. As much as I'm anxious for it to be over, it being over isn't going to be any kind of relief if that means the person who is actively trying to target and harm several classes of people gets into power. There's nothing to be relieved about in that scenario. I voted weeks ago, but haven't hit that catharsis most people talk about after having cast their vote. I'm too aware of the fact that a ton of very shitty people are banding together in the hopes of spreading their shittiness, and that a ton of very misguided people are planning to throw their votes away because they're thinking on a personal level instead of a broad one. I can't not be worried. That's why I appreciate your message so much, because sometimes you just really need a hug, even verbally.

A few of us, namely myself, @prokopetz and others, are being asked about Reddit-core, or about our insistence on sticking to a somewhat more formal register than what's otherwise typical of the Hellsite.

My friends, there is nothing more amusing than self-aware pedantry or voluntary profundity. As David himself noted, posting about robot dick is funnier when you do it in the simulated context of a one-writer academic journal.

Consider the average Redditor. Most see themselves as invested of their Subreddit of choice's topic, which obviously triggers ego-related headbutts in most Comment threads. It also infoms that sense of profundity, which comes across as a very grammatically-aware delivery as a byproduct of wanting to be as crystal-clear as possible.

I'm more the type to let better-qualified Tumblrs than myself develop their expertise and timing in the field of Keyboard-Smash Humour - and I'm not being sarcastic at all, in saying this. I might be bi, I just don't have in me to Gay Smash my Razer Huntsman, not when I can take the kludgey and verbose approach and exactingly describe what's going on between my ears.

So, considering, when someone calls my style "long-winded" or "bloviating", I tend to repress a fiendish chuckle and take it as a compliment.

Speaking of Mario Land 2, I like the Mario Zone the best; I mean, it's a giant Mecha-Mario that's also a toy factory! What's not to like? I also headcanon that this is where the Mini-Toys are also made.

I enjoyed it quite a bit, too. We do actually see similar wind-up toys present in there (though not based on Mario). Mario & Donkey Kong for Switch reveals that there's a separate building for Mario Mini-Toy production, but I could easily see that being the result of the Mini-Toys becoming so popular; if a generalized toy factory can't keep up with demand, then the next logical step is to have a dedicated factory for just the Minis.

5- How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

Extremely easily LMAO

But sometimes you don't even need to be tall! My most recent example is with the IDW comics and Duo- I want Storm to end up running into Mimic so I'm plonking Storm in the middle of the current plot.

Storm doesn't know anything about Duo, and he doesn't suspect him of anything. But Duo is a cat, and judging from his choice of gloves he's a punchy cat. Storm's decided being the punchy cat is HIS thing and Duo, in his eyes, is trying to steal that. So he's distrusting of him right out the gate HSGDHS

6- Do they consider laws flexible, or immovable?

Option C- breakable.

If he deems a law unfair, he'll just ignore/break it. He works on his own set of morals. And his morals say that there's a difference between someone stealing to be rich, and someone stealing to be able to eat

And. I mean. He drove the GUN truck, I don't think he cares much for speed limits, or whether people think a truck should have giant buzzsaws and be capable of short distance flight or not SHSDHSHD
