How to sell NFTS Beginners guide on how & where to sell NTFS

If you are a creative or an artist, NFTs can revolutionize how you sell your artwork. NFT gives artists ownership and flexibility over how they can create, distribute, publish and sell their art. If you are new to NFTs and would like to know how and where you can sell NFTs, our step-by-step guide will cover everything you need to know.

1.      Make Your NFT

You cannot sell what you don't have. So, the first step to selling NFTs is creating one. There is a wide option for digital assets you can mint as NFTs, although the most common are images like CryptoPunks.

 If you have an idea of what you would like to sell, for example, a drawing or painting, it is easy to mint and sell. On the other hand, if you are just thinking about NFTs and don't have any art in mind, consider reviewing other NFT collections on sale to get your inspiration.

 Still unsure of where to start? Consider using NFT art programs to draw inspiration, e.g., Procreate, Blender, and Adobe Photoshop. You can then create your piece and once it is ready, work on selling it.

 2.      Sell It

Once you have created your piece of art, next, upload it, store and sell it through blockchain. While it sounds lengthy and complex, it is straightforward if you follow the below step-by-step process.

 a.)    Choose a digital wallet and create it

To sell your NFT, you need to have a digital wallet, i.e., a wallet where you can store and spend on cryptocurrencies. It is similar to a physical wallet as it will hold your cryptocurrency to allow you to transact on the NFT marketplace.

 There are numerous digital wallets, e.g., TRUSTWALLET and Metamask.Before choosing a wallet, it is important to consider one that works well with the Ethereum blockchain since Ethereum is the most popular currency in NFT sales. Selling in a different currency could lower your chances of selling due to inconvenience.

 When you choose your preferred digital wallet:

·         Go to the digital wallet website on Google

·         Download the digital wallet

·         Add it to your browse as an extension

·         Follow the instructions

·         Create your new wallet

 b.)    Choose a suitable NFT marketplace

Once your wallet is ready, get an NFT marketplace where you can list your art, mint, and sell it. There are numerous marketplaces like Nifty Gateway, Rarible, and Opensea. Most marketplaces have resources and informative support sections to guide you.

 Pay attention to the marketplace's platform fees to list your NFT art and the allowed cryptocurrencies. Then connect your wallet to the marketplace you choose.

 c.)    Buy cryptocurrency, upload your art, and set a price

We recommend buying Ethereum as it is a popular cryptocurrency in the NFT art market. Then, upload and sell your NFT. You will see a create tab where you can upload your art. Fill in the details on your file, and upload it.

 The market platform will give you an option to set royalty amounts and specify the cut they will allow you to get on future NFT sales. After uploading, you will need to set a price for the art. It can be an auction or fixed price.

Selling an NFT will attract some fees, depending on the marketplace and the currency you are using. Some marketplaces charge as low as 2.5% commission, while others charge as high as 15%. So, do your research before choosing a marketplace to sell on. Good luck with your sale!

QUANTUM BREAK APPRECIATION MONTH 2024

okay, fuck it, i went too hard last year trying to post every damn day in april. this year, i am taking a break and inviting you all to join me in making too many insane posts for quantum break month.

yes, that means i will be giving out prizes to those brave soldiers who join me in posting about a nearly-dead eight-year-old fandom for an entire month. i cannot promise that they are GOOD prizes, but i WILL reward you for joining me in quantum break hell.

HERE IS MY CALENDAR:

you will notice i am starting on the second week of the month. this is because i have been renovating an office and am exhausted. i will not be taking questions at this time.

anyway, the 5th of april is the 8th anniversary of quantum break's release! if you post about quantum break on this day and send me a link to the post, i will draw you a tiny doodle on a post-it note of one of the quantum break characters.

the week of april 7th - april 13th i have designated as ships week. this week, post about your favorite quantum break ships! for every shippy post you make (and send me a link to), i will put your name into a hat one time and then pick a random person (on the 30th) to recieve a ship certificate from robinboob, a parody website that sells "certficates" saying you "own" a certain ship. (to clarify, this is parodying nfts, but the money actually funds fandom-centric web development projects.)

to be clear, because i’ve seen multiple posts asking for a bootleg of how to dance in ohio (and a lot of you appear to be minors who might not know how bootlegs work)—

as of right now, there are so few video masters (people who create bootlegs and share them), that you can count them all on your fingers. this is not just in new york, either, but across the world. almost all of the recent bootlegs are created by a very very small number of people. these are NOT random people/tourists with a camera who decide to see a show and film.

video masters (VM) will film things they want to see (one specific VM loves moulin rouge and has many moulin rouge videos), things they get commissioned for (meaning someone will pay for their ticket to the show in exchange for the bootleg, this is very rare though! most masters do not take requests!), or things they know are popular/will get sales (as this is a business for them).

not every show will get a video bootleg. some shows are not popular, some shows the masters have no interest in seeing, sometimes there simply isn’t a day that works with the master’s scheduling, etc. whatever the reason, some shows simply just do not get a video bootleg. and that’s just how life is.

in how to dance in ohio’s case, by the time the show closes, it will have played 99 total performances. that is it. it won’t have broken the 100 performances mark. the shorter the run of a show, the less likely there is to be a bootleg of it. especially when closing is announced 3 weeks out. the video masters calendars could be already full if they’re in new york, or they might not live in new york and three weeks is not enough notice for them to come out and film.

that said, if there was a how to dance in ohio bootleg, it almost 100% would be “NFT” right now or not for trade. to prevent these bootlegs from getting back to the show/production and having them figure out who filmed it, the VMs will often put a NFT date many months in advance. the bootleg would only be available to buy through the master until the not-for-trade date has passed. because bootlegging is, first and foremost, illegal, this NFT date tries to put distance between the date of filming and the release of the video to prevent the master from getting into any legal trouble.

if you know a specific bootleg exists and you know who the master is, feel free to contact them directly. making posts about it in the shows tag is not the way to access bootlegs. if you do get a bootleg, do not post it on tiktok, youtube, instagram, whatever other social media site. once again, this is illegal and we are not trying to draw attention to the existence of bootlegs.

additionally, in the specific instance of how to dance in ohio, the cast is on tumblr. while some of them have made their thoughts about bootlegs known, it is still something to keep away from the cast. not all cast members feel the same way about things and some of them might not care for bootlegs.

finally, as a lot of the people asking for the bootlegs are minors, you might not remember a few years back. the current video masters really only came onto the scene about 5 or so years ago. before that, it was almost impossible to find videos of shows. right now, we are very lucky to have multiple active video masters especially with such good quality equipment. many shows were shared using audio bootlegs, which is still a great way to access a show you might not have otherwise seen.

as an aside - this post is not an invitation to argue about the logistics of selling bootlegs. there are many reasons masters sell their bootlegs - primarily, to make back the money on their tickets. broadway shows are very expensive as we all know, and masters have to buy specific seats in order for them to feel comfortable filming. masters also upgrade their equipment (i’m talking $1000+ camera equipment), which is offset by people buying these videos. if you have comments about how bootlegging is illegal and selling illegal work is bad, i don’t care to hear it.

tl;dr - there might not ever be a video bootleg of how to dance in ohio and that’s okay. you are allowed to be upset you can’t see a show, but you cannot automatically assume a bootleg of a show will exist. we protect video masters and do not share their work.

He now seems to be sleeping, he has eyelids somehow, but I also have eyelids somehow.

You know listeners, come to think of it, this fashionable fella might be my new competition in this “sexyman competition”. Now I can’t compete with his fashion sense, i’m just in the usual radio host garb, plus a cool bleached jean jacket, like The Beatles wore when they all had mustaches, and played on mustaches.

A Guide to Abbreviations and Terminology on Chicken Smoothie

Ah, yes! CS abbreviations. There are so many, lol, especially trading lingo. Let's see...

Pets' Growth Stages

OK, to start off there are a handful of easy abbreviations that refer to pets' growth stages:

PPS / EPPS / and kinda, sorta GUPPS

PPS stands for Peter Pan Syndrome and refers to a pet that will never grow to an adult stage. It's usually an "outcome" in a litter that is a little special like that c: Most (but not all) PPS pets will have that abbreviation on the pet image, and the pet info page will say: "PPS This pet has "PPS". What's that? Here's a PPS pet from February:

EPPS is a term that means "early" or "extreme" PPS and is used to refer to PPS pets that never grew from their newborn/first stage. Here's an EPPS pet from February:

Finally, GUPPS stands for "grown up" PPS. This one's a bit weirder because it refers almost exclusively to pets that are released during the advent calendar, when artists of a PPS pet released earlier in the year choose to create an adult version of it. For example, this puppy was originally released in Oct. 2023, then the artist made a "grown up" version for the Advent Calendar in December. The grown up version is a GUPPS:

Trading

The shorthand "WL" stands for "Wish List." The acronym "FTT" stands for Fair-Trade Thread, which is a very popular and useful thread on the forum where you can post a link to a trade you sent or received, and other users will give their opinion on whether it seems fair or not. Some users refer to duplicate pets of the same outcome as "dupes."

Trading Status There are also some shorthand terms users will write into their pet names or pet group names that give you an idea of their trading status, like:

HTTF - "hard to trade for"

VHTTF - "very hard to trade for"

NFT - "not for trade"

UFT - "up for trade"

UFA - "up for auction," or sometimes, in the free adoptions forum board "up for adoption"

Pets' Rarities There are a handful of very easy-to-learn abbreviations that refer to pets' rarities:

OMGSC - OMG So Common

EC/XC - Extremely Common

VC - Very Common

C - Common

UC - Uncommon

VUC - Very Uncommon

EU/EUC/XUC - Extremely Uncommon

R - Rare

VR- Very Rare

ER - Extremely Rare

OMGSR - OMG So Rare

High Value Trades This is where things start to get complex. I'll explain some abbreviations that are common when trading high value pets, but if you start getting confused about what even is happening at this stage, don't stress about it: we can go over how high value trades work and whatnot in the future, if you like c:

High Value Pets Usually, the user base will agree on names for certain pet litters and outcomes to make trading and talking about pets easier. So if someone says "White February," I know they're talking about this white wolf that was originally released in 2009.There are certain high-value pets that come up so often in discussion that users have shorthanded their names into acronyms. Here are some popular examples I can think of:

BA - Black advent

BMD - Bernese mountain dog

TWA - Timberwolf advent

RBM - Rainbow mane

GWJ - Growing white July

BEG - Black-eyed galaxy

CEG - Clear-eyed galaxy

GSD - German Shepherd Dog

WWA - Winged wood angel

(Tangent: if you know the year and month a pet was released but not their (un)official name, there's a really cool archive run by CS users called Chicken Smoothie Transpets that basically functions like the archive, but it lists the widely agreed-upon names of relevant pets, including the acronyms!).

High Value Worth Shorthands Because trading high-value pets on CS can be a bit complex (since we don't know exactly how much rarer certain pets are compared to others; we only know estimates according to their rarity labels), there have been user researched and made guides to trading OMGSR and ER pets taking into account their demand and estimating how many are found up for trade. The current such guide that seems to be popular right now is Horror's [🐝] Guide to Trading Every Pet on CS. In order to trade certain high-value pets for others at the more or less agreed upon values, most of the userbase use certain labels to describe a pet's worth:

OR - Stands for Old Rares and refers to rare pets from 2010-2011

MA - Is equal in worth to 10 ORs. It stands for "Mid Advent," mostly as a leftover term from an older guide. It's not really important to know exactly why this term is used, and I feel like I am already giving you too much info, so maybe I can tell you the story another time XD. MAs are used to measure the more valuable pets on the site.

Non - Is equal in worth to 10 MAs (or 100 ORs). The term comes from the unofficial names of some of the earliest dogs to be released on CS.

True Date, Un-Released and Re-Released Pets Lore - December 18th is a really exciting day for the whole CS userbase. It is the day. The only day when all users have a chance to adopt pets that were released on previous years and are no longer available though the Adopt page. It is the only day you can adopt a very rare or more valuable pet reliably on the site—I hope you're around for that!

RR - Pets from previous years that are adopted on Dec. 18th are called Re-released pets, or RRs.

TD - In contrast, pets that were adopted in the month and year when they were originally released are called True Date pets, or TDs.

UR - Finally, Un-released pets, or URs are also adopted only on December 18th, but unlike every other pet given out on that day, UR pets have never been released normally before. They are always extremely rare and valuable. You can find the UR pets released each year under the "Special Releases" tab of the archive.

COPPA Sorry for the info-dump. Take a breath, we're back in easy territory c: You may see users mention COPPA users in their tarde rules and such. The acronym stands for "Children's Online Privacy Protection Act." To comply with this act, CS allows kids under 13 years old in the US to make an account and collect pets, but not to participate in the forums or write trade messages.

JUST SOME THOUGHTS 💭 : the nine circles of loona hell.

After the very straining and soul-sucking battle that is BBC (although its not totally over! court-hearings are still due on August, it is still relieving knowing all 12 are out of BBC) new doors are opening up for the girls: as an odd eye circle comeback is right around the corner, a new wave of thrill and excitement is brewing up but, akin to the feeling of getting kicked on the stomach and as you stand up getting kicked again....orbits not only relive the feeling of euphoria to a new comeback, they'll also feel the same dread and annoyance at the piss poor management.

Modhaus choose to stray away from the usual path a company would do for promoting their artist, that being with NFTS and the benefit of voting for certain things due to said NFT. And it seems to be working for other group under Modhaus. I understand the need/or want for a uniform marketing scheme, but I wonder if Modhaus ever wondered or taken into consideration if the majority of OEC/Artms demographic and fans actually...gives a shit.

Although being a hot topic during 2021 (and years prior to that), it slowly started dwindling back in the shadows as other waves of trends came crashing in.But even then it seems as if NFT is just a rich mans toy that also happened to pack a punch at mother earth: the whole novelty about NFTs are the cha-ching linked to it, you'd just oggle and laugh at the cartoonishly high prices celebrities pay for ugly drawings of monkeys or even participate in it just for a quick buck.

Yet I don't see why it's necessary to even have NFTS in Artm's case considering how environmentally degrading it is. If they wanted to earn a quick buck out of these fans they could've just simply locked those photos on a paywall, there are many avenues and paths that can lead them to the same place. Also factor in the fact that majority or at least a good chunk of the fandom either don't care or vehemently hate it, so it just stirs a lot of negativity in forums or platforms where positivity is a better option— and yet Modhaus or any company really, never listens to the fandom's wishes/thoughts/feedback which is a big blunder due to the fact that fans are what feeds these companies, without an audience there is no place for their music to thrive.

But what about the albums? They're environmentally degrading too!

See, this is where my main gripe about NFTS actually formulate. I'm very much aware that everything I consume in my life can and will damage the environment one way or another, but there's actually a purpose behind those things. NFTS on the other hand...not so much. They are soulless pieces of merchandise, thats soul purpose starts and ends with it being a selfie whilst damaging the environment. Albums is a great garden to grow and see even a tiny speck of art. The inclusions are also another factor, it's a medium for art to flourish and has some real life uses to it (cd's).

Aside from the drift between fans and NFTS. Scheduling, lack of 'hype' is a big sore in the comeback, considering how the members themselves spoke about how they wish for a win. Why couldn't they manage their calendars correctly? Why aren't they hiring employees that can cater for a better outcome? Why are there dead zones of silence in between teasers? There's also overpricing of tour tickets (the announcement being before we even got the video teaser, me-thinks it would've worked out much better if they announced it in the middle of promotions as the hype may still be around).

Promoting Loona had always been a pleasure for orbits especially in their hayday before the great Armageddon, but now as the tides are shifting: there is now a realization that orbits antics may just backfire: Promoting the group is always the companies job, it's merely an option for the fans. And it's not as if Modhaus is a company majorly lacking in resources, so why can't they do it themselves? And the bare minimum is not to ghost fans leading up to the release date, there are ways to bring in hype and extra content without even straining or overworking the girls themselves. Posting hints about the comeback, interesting tidbits and trivia about it, even posting a little screencap of the mv is a decent way to generate curiosity regarding the comeback.

I do appreciate those little shortcuts video they post, content better than nothing at least.

It's just tiring seeing oec/artms re-living the same old issues under the hand of the same old man.

But that aside, I do genuinely look forward for this comeback (or re-debut maybe?). I dig the concept and especially the first few set of photo teasers as it was very interesting and alluring. It's wonderful that they choose to recall previous details for the sub-unit's comeback/re-debut as it really gives a rush to old fans and can create interest to the new ones. Tiny thing, but I really like the details they placed on the eyepatches like the laces and stuff. Love the thick bangs on Choerry too. The video teasers were also an amazing watch, just hearing OEC's old songs now as they are in a new chapter in their career, new company, new everything, is just thrilling and sweet. I wonder (delusions) if Haseul or Heejin will be a featured artists in their b-sides! That'll be fun for sure.
