WHOOPS. I pulled a disappearing act again. I had some health stuff going on (all fine! I'm good! Just some adjusting) and my new job. So I've been getting into the flow of all that. And my cat had to be put down last week.

I've been trying to get back into online RP since all I mostly do is lurk the last year or so. I'm mostly over on @nurseconscience ( or her sideblogs, @ringleaderdana , @chicagofallcn or @lngdnwife ). So if I'm not answering here I'm probably over there. Especially since The Pitt ( my newest love ) has been airing and only has one episode left to drop. So I'm going to try and get back on Sharon but I'm also over on Nic working on the newer sideblogs for The Pitt. Also if anyone ever needs a nurse let me know! Sharon can easily get an MCU verse. :)

Basically my brain likes too many things and keeps making blogs that are hard to keep up with but I refuse to let them go because I love them so much. lol

Alright, now for the interesting bit.

This blog will focus on my main universe, which is from an ongoing series of RP chains between me and my friend over the last ten years; so there’s a lot of lore I'm gonna infodump about. This story is still ongoing [and has been rebooted recently], so there could be discrepancies or retcons, but I'll try to be as consistent as possible.

(She knows about this and will occasionally answer questions herself, but she doesn’t really do social media, so I can’t tag her.)

Most of the characters I’ll talk about are mine and, if you wanna be technical, are all Doctor Who fandom ocs but I use the term extremely loosely.

Canonically speaking, in universe, the tv show (and all other relevant media) does still exist in our version of Earth due to Nic (my version of the Doctor) telling stories about space while he was drunk and the humans fuckin ran with it. This obviously gives me a lot of room to diverge from Doctor Who canon, but I do maintain a sort of “kernel of truth in the myth” kind of vibe between my Time Lords and the canon of the show.

Do you have any other blogs: ....if I listed all my blogs I would look insane. There are too many voices in my head....I don’t even remember them all. My current semi-active ones are @ladytimctravclcr (Primeval), @fieldcoordinatcr (Primeval), @nctanthca (Sherlock), @nctwilliam (Sherlock), @fangedearring (HP), @madamprcsident (Fantastic Beasts), @barnxradio (Haven), @macusaxroyalty (HP/FB) and so many others. I have a few for Broadchurch but that fandom is basically dead...

I normally log in every few days to see if anyone is around but for the FB/HP or Primeval blogs, the fandoms are small and so they don’t get to do much. Which is fine, since I am trying to keep Nic and Anthea (nctanthea) going. Sherrinford (nctwilliam) is also coming into his own currently. He is my child and I love him. A lot of them are sideblogs so it is easier to check them/group them by type.

Why did you choose your URL: Well ‘nurse’ because Nic is a nurse. Kind of self explanatory, and ‘conscience’ because in a lot of interviews Nic is described as the conscience of the show. She’s the moral compass and is the one that kind of talks to everyone, gauging their feelings and sometimes can talk them down from whatever crazy idea they might have ( looking at you Conrad ).

Instruments: violin, piano, and I have a cello, balalaika, guitar, and uke. The balalaika was decorative originally from my grandmother but one of my music professor friends fixed it so I could actually play it. Sadly it needs some repairs. I know one song and it is just from memory years ago. The Uke I can’t really do anything with but I want to learn. I can tune instruments by ear easily. But I don’t often have time to learn new things. My guitar I can not do much with and my cello I can figure some things out by ear. Violin and piano are the instruments I can at least BS some decent knowledge on. I can read all clefs. 

What am I wearing: green trousers, a black blouse with birds by Atmosphere I picked up in Primark last year, and a blanket with a sleeping cat. ;)  [ I only specifically remember the shirt because I bought it on vacation and I love it so much. ]

How many blankets do I sleep with: as many as I can find. I like the cold but nothing beats a good blanket.

Dream Trip: I love visiting London so that is normally what I dream of when work is killing me. It is legitimately my dream trip. How I keep myself motivated from not killing coworkers. haha But I also really want to go back to NZ. I miss my NZ family.

Dream Job: Illustrator, or animator. Preferably illustrator though, so I can just draw a few big, detailed pictures. Or an animatic maker (forget the actual title for that job), that would be cool too.
