“How kind of you to grace us with your presence, Your Majesty.” Gin chuckled, turning his head to address the woman. “Still under the weather are we?”

”Enough to make sure I aim for your shoes next…” Chisei grumbled under her breath, keeping her arms crossed under her chest.

”That’s enough.” Aizen said, then raised his arm. “Chisei. Come here please.”

The woman took a few steps forward to her husband, setting herself next to his chair. He brought his arm up her back and tried to soothe her nausea, rubbing her back. He gestured with his other hand for her to lean down. He spoke quietly to her. “If you need to return to our room, go right ahead. Take care of you two.”

Chisei gave a nod, she stayed by his side as part of a previous conversation they had. Her gaze focused on the Espada around the table, all set up with their own tea. In order to help her through the meeting, she was allowed to step away to care for herself. It became more difficult when she realized who sat closest to Aizen, putting her right in front of Grimmjow. She gave him a small look, then redirected her attention to her husband who still had a hand on her back.

”Now then. Once Orihime’s power is refined more, we will be able to continue with the next phase of our plan.” Aizen said, “Everyone else is to continue their own preparations for the time being. I want everyone to be at their best when the time comes.”

”Not all of us.” Nnoitra scoffed, narrowing his eye at Chisei.

”Do you have something to say, Nnoitra?” The brunette raised a brow. He picked up his tea and began to sip while he replied.

”How do you expect the rest of us to battle when the Queen is not fit for battle, Lord Aizen?” He said, grinning. “It seems Lady Chisei is more of an incubator than an asset…”

Just as Chisei looked ready to snap at the man, Aizen spoke up. “I am aware that the timing is not optimal. However, life events such as these rarely pay attention to outside circumstances. This should not affect your preparation for the battle.” He stared calmly at the tall Espada, “Additionally, I should not need to remind you that the Queen is chosen by me personally, and your devotion to me should mean you trust in my decision.”

”Tch…” He continued to glare at the woman, though to his surprise when he started focusing back toward Aizen there was another set of eyes on him he didn’t anticipate: Coyote Starrk. Why the hell was he getting on his case?

”If there is nothing else, I’d like to adjourn for today.” Aizen said, he stood himself up slowly with his hand still holding onto his wife.

Everyone stayed silent for a few seconds, and Grimmjow scoffed as he got up. He walked past Chisei quickly, stepping aside dramatically to avoid touching her. She looked away from him, wanting to ignore the man.

”Chisei, are you alright to continue today?” Aizen asked, turning to his wife. “I arranged for Szayel Apporo to check some measurements for you. I’d like to keep your uniforms fitting properly as your body changes.”

”I’ll be fine Sosuke.” Chisei said, “Will I see you tonight for dinner?”

”Only if you have the appetite for it.” He tilted her chin up, smiling down to her as the Espada began to depart. “Perhaps, you’ll have the appetite for something a bit more tonight?”

Chisei blushed at this, she had to smile through the embarrassment. “I swear…”

”Geez, you think you didn’t do a good job the first time?” Gin chided, which made Chisei flinch, and her husband shot that same annoyed stare to his subordinate.

”Gin, that’s enough.” Aizen said, pulling Chisei into an embrace. The woman only hid her reddening face in her hand, she began to mutter under her breath.

”Why not say it louder while he’s at it, I’m sure not everyone heard…” She sighed and pulled her hands down, glaring daggers towards the silver haired man. “Sosuke, I think Szayel Apporo is waiting for me. I should go.”

The brunette man took a breath, but then looked back down to his wife and pressed a kiss to her forehead. After a few beats, he went ahead and tilted her chin again to give her a kiss. “Take care of the both of you.” He pulled away a few inches to speak, smiling softly to the woman. “As soon as my work is finished for tonight, I will be there.”

“I promise.” Chisei gave him a nod, letting him hold her a little longer before she turned to start after Szayel Apporo.

The pink-haired scientist watched her with an amused brow, “Lord Aizen sure handled that well, it seems.” He chuckled. “Lady Chisei. Are you faring any better?”

”I wish people would stop asking every time they see me… I’m filled with hormones, not dying.” Chisei complained, “It’s getting easier, I guess.”

”Excellent. We could always take a break if you need it.” Szayel Apporo began to walk, he kept an eye on her from the corner of his eye to make sure she could match his pace. “It’s been some time since we’ve seen each other one on one like this. Last I recall it was when you arrived… You were shaking like a leaf back then.”

“And somehow had less on my mind than I do now…” The Queen hurried her pace to keep up with him, letting her arms hang for a minute before she started to fidget her hands. It had become a habit to have her hands in front of her chest, similar to how Orihime presented herself. The difference with this at least was that Chisei managed to have an air of confidence in her walk.

”Well, aside from your current condition I’m sure you don’t get much rest… Between your duties of course~” He joked, “Speaking of which… I’d need to get new measurements for your jacket, will that be acceptable?”

”Oh, y-yes that should be fine…” She glanced through the corridors they passed, though something made her stop at a crossroads. “…Excuse me, one moment.” Chisei started walking, quickening her pace, away from the Espada.

A head of orange hair caught her attention. “Orihime?”

Ulquiorra turned, he paused for a moment upon seeing the Queen. “Lady Chisei. Aren’t you needed elsewhere?”

”Chisei..?” The girl’s soft spoken voice let her know who it was before seeing her face. Her grey eyes widened in shock. “Chisei, you’re here..?”

”Yeah… Yeah, I’m here.” Chisei swallowed hard, nausea starting to hit her hard. She cleared her throat. “Ulquiorra, where is she being held? I’m not feeling well, and I’d like to speak with her.”

”I am bringing her back there now. You may speak with her then.” He asked, “Lord Aizen has asked that when you are not feeling well, you should return to your suite. Are you sure this is wise?”

“I’ll return there after. It won’t make a difference to him if I’m there ten minutes before he returns, or two hours.” The woman said, narrowing her eyes at him. For added measure, she stepped over next to Orihime and grabbed her arm, as if the two were escorting each other. “Please don’t make this difficult.”

”… As you wish.” Ulquiorra could only close his eyes in defeat, before continuing to lead Orihime away. Chisei followed, the redhead in tow, and the woman kept her eyes up front.

”As soon as we’re away from him we can talk more.” Chisei whispered, eyes still facing forward. “I’m sorry you’re wrapped up in this.”

”Chisei, why are they addressing you that way…?” Orihime’s voice shook, and as that happened the brunette gave her arm a reassuring squeeze. “What happened to you…? Why are you…?”

”It’s a long story… And, may take longer to tell.” The Quincy grimaced, one of her hands moving to her mouth. “How are you holding up? Are you eating okay?”

”Uh… Yes.” She seemed worried why she was asking this, but returned her attention to Ulquiorra as the door to her cell was opened.

”Lady Chisei, the door will remain open until you leave.” Ulquiorra said, watching the two women carefully. “I’m sure you know I must notify Lord Aizen of this…”

”As if he hasn’t already seen it.” Chisei snapped, ushering Orihime inside. “I can handle it from here, Ulquiorra. You’re dismissed.”

There was a pause from the Espada, not used to the Queen addressing him so sharply. He rationalized it as part of her condition, and sonido’d away. As soon as she was sure that he left, maintaining her more serious look, she finally let go of Orihime’s arm. Orihime turned around and hugged the Queen tight without warning. “I’m so glad you’re okay! Everyone has been so worried about you, I-!”

”Orihime, that’s great, but you got two seconds before I puke-!”

”Ah-! I’m sorry!!”

Chisei pushed past when Orihime let her go, pushing her head into the toilet to begin heaving. She thankfully only managed to cough up some fluid, her groaning amplified before raising her head. “Morning sickness my ass…” The woman took a few breaths, pausing when she felt Orihime’s hand on her back.

”Chisei… What happened? What are you doing here?” She crouched next to the woman, watching her with nothing but worry on her face. “Are you..?”

”… Let me clean myself up…” It only took a few minutes for Chisei to fix herself, wiping her face and taking a seat on the couch. “First off, I’m so glad you’re okay here… If anything happens, let me know. I might be able to make things more comfortable?”

”This is fine, but… Why were they addressing you like that? You look so different…” Orihime sat with her, but only got more concerned when Chisei lowered her gaze.

”… Sosuke has taken me to be his wife.” Chisei admitted, her hands clasped together in her lap. Orihime gasped and covered her mouth. “He promised to help protect me and my family, and when I got here things were different…”

”But… Your family…”

”Mmm. Please. Don’t. Don’t tell me.” She said. “If you know anything about them or anyone else, I can’t hear it right now-“

”Chisei, everyone is worried for you!” Orihime grabbed her hands. “Your family, your friends! Ichigo said Shinji is looking for you too!”

That was what did it. Chisei felt everything bubble up and she began to cry, one of her hands moving to cover her mouth while she fought back sobs. “…I can’t go back… They’d never forgive me… I can’t undo this…”

“I think they would! Your friends would be so grateful to have you back, they’d-!”

”Orihime, I can’t.” She said, “Not like this… Not with a baby…”

”What…?” Orihime froze, “You mean… With…”

”Yes… With Aizen.” Chisei sniffled, shaking her head. “I promised myself to him, and now… I’m expecting… Though all it’s done is paint a target on my back…” She took a breath, wiping her face. “I got myself in deep… Compartmentalizing only does so much.”

The girl wasn’t sure what else to say, so instead she just hugged the woman tightly. Letting the brunette cry for a bit longer before she finally nudged her away. From the relatively calm woman into this broken shape of regality, she knew which she preferred.

”I’m sorry, I really need to go…” The woman wiped her eyes again as she stood. “Please. Ask for me if you have to. We’ll find a way through this…”

”Chisei…” Orihime’s eyes started to well up, she looked down to Chisei’s stomach. “Please be careful.”

”You too…” Following her line of sight, Chisei put a hand over her stomach. She slowly started to walk out, and as the door to the girl’s cell closed she couldn’t help but look over her shoulder.

“There you are! My goodness my Lady, for someone not feeling well you make yourself scarce quickly!” Szayel Apporo’s voice caught her attention, making her turn to him still a mess. “Oh, dear… Is everything alright, Lady Chisei? Perhaps we should get you back to your suite for today.”

”I’m… Fine. Like I said, a lot more on my mind than before.” She waved him off, sighing as she once again tried to wipe her cheeks. “Being full of hormones doesn’t help that part either… Maybe going back would be good for today.”

The man started to guide her, using his arm ghosting around her back to help direct her… And perhaps keep her away from prying eyes. “That sounds best. I’ll have someone fetch you some tea.”

ACTUALLY funny enough I've been thinking about this art a lot myself lmao so I do have some headcanons! as for my ko-fi or patreon.. like I said before transferring money out of them is impossible where I am right now but I made a boosty acc (I'll link it in my bio)

First I wanna add that I just can't see Stark as a high schooler x). He has the vibe of a teacher who somehow ended up with the worst classes in school despite his formidable reputation. Though maybe he was a delinquent himself in the past so he knows how to deal with these little shits. He also has a soft spot for them so as strict as this man can be he cuts them a lot of slack. Like for example I'm sure Nnoitra would smoke in this AU so I think the first day Stark started working with them they met on the rooftop on the lunch break while Gilga was smoking and instead of scolding him Stark just asked for a cig. Nnoitra almost shit himself. I'm also sure he would ask his class to look after his daughter Lilynette so she won't get into any trouble with that attitude of hers. She's probably in middle school or a couple of years younger than them so yeah... the lil sis of the group...

Despite the differences and constant bickering Nnoitra and Grimmjow are basically attached at the hip. I can see them being childhood frenemies actually. Ulquiorra and Szayel are also somewhere in their orbit of course but these two are the worst duo to stumble upon. Very notorious

Ulquiorra is obviously the class president given the armband. He tries his best to mediate the conflicts between his classmates or make them behave better but it's all in vain. Mostly. Some days he's just not in the mood to be responsible and reasonable when dealing with all the bullshit. When trying to bring delinquents to reason you have to be either very respected among them or more fierce than them and Ulquiorra certainly lacks the authority because of his character and swaglessness. He's very scary when mad however. Everybody knows this by now but they just keep trying their fate. Like I'm telling you once he unbuttons his gakuran it's so fucking over

Unlike Grimmjow Nnoitra is actually bothered with his grades enough to try and work for them and/or study (not all the time of course what do you think he's a loser or something?) It includes scaring people into doing his homework, snatching papers out of Ulquiorra's hands right before the class starts (he's used to it so he carries around two sets of hw) or if he REALLY needs to pass an exam he goes to Szayel, the class smartass. The latter is literally equivalent to dying and going through hell to him because he has to abandon all his pride. If you have a shit ton of money you always can try and ask Szayel to help you. Sure. A little bit of humiliation and you actually know the subject. However when it comes to Nnoitra the freak won't let him breathe because: 1) he doesn't need his money, Nnoitra has plenty and it's already stolen anyway so what's the fun? 2) asking a fellow delinquent you have a beef with for help has different means of payment 3) he just really wants to fuck with this guy's head since he thinks Nnoitra is a curious fella. Gilga is well aware of all of this and he's well aware that Szayel will make him polish his boots with his tongue before even considering helping him with acquiring the forbidden chemistry knowledge. So he has to really work for it whether it's a fistfight or running errands for Szayelaporro. It's a good thing Grantz stays true to his word

Grimmjow has a well-accessorized uniform thanks to Nnoitra but his casual clothing is hilariously uncool. I'm convinced this guy has zero taste both in clothing and prints/patterns because he couldn't care less about what other people think is considered fashionable when all he needs personally is functionality and comfort. He knows how to rock a good hairstyle though but if he wants to wear flip-flops outside then so be it

Nnoitra spends all the money he gets on new accessories and CDs (and maybe sometimes porno magazines) for which he constantly gets picked on. If it's someone not from his immediate friend circle then it's not even worth thinking about - left, right, goodnight. As if he's gonna let anyone get too fucking cheeky with him. He's infamous for being called slurs and then bashing the person's head in for this every week because he wears heels and had to endure children being mean to him because of his eye in kindergarten and primary school so it's no big deal really. But if it's Grimmjow then it's a fucking word battle to death he just can't let it slide. Jaegerjaquez really thinks Nnoitra is gonna get strangled by one of his necklaces one of those days but whatever. It's up to him. His music taste however... Now that's something they quarrel about all the time. "I mean I'm not saying anything! Sure you can buy new TOOL CDs all you want.. cough cough... fucking loser.. cough"

Bazz-B was hell-bent on making friends with Grimmjow because he genuinely thinks this guy is awesome. Look at his laid-back attitude and vicious ways! His blue hair, his style! Ohhh, to be like him!!! Jaegerjaquez on the other hand was not very impressed with how annoying Bazz could get with his neverending attempts of talking to him. Too energetic and loud for his liking. He already has Nnoitra and his big fat mouth he constantly runs all he wants so another talkative guy next to him would be too much for his everyday life. He would literally tell him to fuck off and threaten him with a beating of his life but unfortunately it got Bazz even more fired up. Damn weirdo. And a major pain in the ass. They did find a common ground in the end though and it's... A motorcycle that Bazz owns. Bazzard suggested they could take a ride together as a last resort and it was all it took to buy Grimm. Imagine the most excited person you've ever met and they still won't be as excited as Grimmjow was at that moment. Instant fucking boner! "Dibs on driving though" "Deal!" Grimmjow was surprised to reveal that Bazz-B is actually fun to be around and not as annoying as he initially thought he was. Nnoitra made a joke about them having a date the next day though

I think here Bazz-B suffers the same fate as Sakuragi Hanamichi in the beginning of Slam Dunk which is constantly trying to get girls on a date but being brutally rejected each time lmao 😭It's not like he is a bad-looking guy no it's actually the opposite but his personality and hot-headedness are too much to bear for girls he's going after

Askin is a great negotiator and he knows his way around with words but other than that he sucks. He's not a bad guy, just chronically fucking uncool and has to hide behind other people's backs because of mediocre fighting abilities. He also gets in all kinds of stupid situations because he just can't keep his thoughts to himself sometimes which is a bad asset to his cheesiness

Äs Nödt is also not very good at fighting but he's more useful than Askin lol. A smartass and a menace who is talented at collecting data and black-mail on people by eavesdropping and other means. He's the one who proposes the most out-of-pocket ways of taking revenge on other gangs or teaching someone a lesson so you better be careful with him

I am sure this is a categorically terrible idea, but I am too squirrel-brained to pick a writing project to work on, but also I'm tired of not writing and additionally, I am puffed up on my own hubris from hitting 1M words on AO3, so let's gooooooooo!

Here are some tips:

I do have anon asks on, but if you log in, it means I can ask questions if I need to, plus it makes me feel like we’re friends when I get a name with the request.

Ideally my short fiction comes out between 1k and 2k, so we’re usually talking just a scene or two. I am notoriously bad at sticking to this.

You can see all my previous short fiction here. (Each yearly volume has a table of contents in the first chapter). Try not to request things that I’ve done before, unless it’s explicitly a continuation. You can request extra scenes from my existing fanfics.

The best requests are specific enough to be inspirational, but not so overconstrained that you’ve basically written the whole thing yourself. Specifying a set of characters is okay, but it’s better if you add a setting or a scenario or a mood. Think about what the description would be if you had to post it to ao3 yourself.

If you read my blog and/or my fanfic, you will probably get a good idea of which characters I love and the kinds of things that delight me and the things that do not. I primarily do these requests for the benefit of my regular readers, so if this process is biased towards them, that is by design.

The only endgame romantic ship I will write for Renji or Rukia is Renruki. I might be open to some explorations during their separation years or like some weird AU thing that's Wrong on Purpose, but in both these cases, you're getting undercurrents of Renruki for free, whether you want them or not. The only Byakuya ship I will write is Byahisa. Friendships and other kinds of non-romantic relationships are always welcome!

Anything featuring Sternritter, aside from as villains. Actually, same goes for Nnoitra and Szayelaporro. Mayuri also on extremely thin ice, but I have a lot of Mayuri-loving pals on this site, so I might be convincible with the right prompt.

She's somewhat tense about the matter. Engaging in these human-like activities feels peculiar in many ways, yet Harribel has discovered that your gestures can be rather enjoyable if she loosens up enough. What makes her more nervous in this situation is having to reciprocate the caress. Ulquiorra has no idea how you managed to convince him to do something like this… again. But that's far from mattering right now. You can hardly inflict any harm, and Nnoitra is aware of it. However, despite his consciousness registering it, his instincts never seem to fully catch the message.

This 'belly rub' thing has him feeling like something wants to crawl out from under his skin, so he mostly waits until you're done, wondering why you invest these affections in someone like him. Your tenderness, in his opinion, is misspent. Nonetheless, once your warmth penetrates his skin, it's too late to pull away

Grimmjow

He knows better than to refuse. You would get progressively more annoying asking for it; he knows that. So, Grimmjow just scoffs and indulges. At first, a part of him is unable to simply surrender to the tender touch, too used to the idea that there's always a trap behind anything that doesn't harm. However, after a while, a strange sensation tingles in his lower belly, and it's surprisingly far from unpleasant.

When you ask him to do it back, he looks at you stunned. Are you stupid? It's fine if you want to lay your hands on him. But, in return? Grimmjow doesn't know if the peculiar warmth at the base of his neck is because he's furious that you're so careless or because something about reciprocating the action feels strangely good.

Szayel

It could be an interesting experiment. Szayel agrees only for the sake of data recovery. However, lying in the softness of a warm place, where your scent and his intertwine in such a way that becomes alarmingly soothing, is reason enough for him to find it difficult to pull away, despite the multiple warnings deep within his head. You can repeat the experiment as many times as you want; he truly has no issue with it.

when you hugged him he just stays in your hug. no matter if you're actually choking him and he can barely breath in your hug. but that's fine.

when you tackles him into a hug he'll just fall flat to the ground. he won't even get up. he just let you hug him on the ground like that.

he likes your warmness when you hug him so he..fall asleep so easily in your hug.

this man is so on high alert and so fucking animalistic he fucking punch you in the face when you tackles him from behind like that. he does not appreciate that sudden shit. he even call you an idiot for doing that in the first place knowing he's like a wild animal.

when it comes to hug he'll probably try and pry your hands off of him. NO TOUCHY TOUCHY GET OFF OF ME. he's a cat really.

he'll chase you down a few time when you tackles him and scare him too badly.

but when he started to get use to it he still try to pry you off of him every time but he just more soft with the claws prying.
