I’ve seen this on tiktok with different fandoms so here is NNT if they worked in retail

(these will be british because i live in britain and so do they and saying big tescos is objectively funnier than walmart or whatever)

Meliodas: Still runs his pub, but it’s probably a Wetherspoons that he’s bought the franchising rights of. He plays the football on the TV and writes who’s playing on a chalkboard in front of the pub to draw more people in. Probably supports Millwall but lies to people about it because he doesn’t want to get beat up in his own pub

Diane: Claire’s. Never let this woman touch the piercing gun. Whenever she checks you out on the till she’s like “Ooh these earrings are stunning they’ll suit you so good” she always buys the blind bags and collects them all

Ban: Corner shop. Probably sells vapes to minors and gets them to call him bossman, but not intentionally he’s just drunk on the job (he drinks the 3 year old WKD that nobody has bought because it’s shit)

King: Marks and Spencer’s. He believes that M&S food is better than any other food. “Yeah sure Aldi might be cheaper, but are you gonna get Percy Pigs there?” “These oranges are of better quality and 10x better than the ones you can get at asda” bro will defend the prices at M&S with his life and constantly denies the tory allegations.

Gowther: Lush. Bro sells the fuck out of them bath bombs. He always smells like the shop. Does demos just for the fun of it, because he likes to see the ✨sparkle✨ the biggest snow fairy fiend, he stock piles snow fairy when it first comes into stock so nobody else can buy it for the first like week.

Merlin: Superdrug. She knows the shop like the back of her hand. Where’s the paracetamol? “Second isle” Where’s the pads? “At the end of isle 4” Where’s the makeup kept? “The back isle” She probably lets people shoplift to spice her day up.

Escanor: WHSmiths at daytime, Puregym at nighttime. Bro has bills to pay so he’s constantly on the grind. At smiths he constantly has to defend the prices and remind people that he personally is not the reason why the pencil cases are a tenner. At the gym he has no idea why people are working out at midnight but he’ll go and do it next to them just to flex.

Elizabeth: Probably still a waitress at the pub. Has to deal with rowdy footy fans all day with a smile on her face and she takes it like a champ. Doesn’t make the app orders late on purpose but they’ll still end up taking 2 hours to come somehow. She probably dropped the tray and had to remake it and then had to kick someone out. She needs her legally required 4 weeks paid holiday please 💔

Elaine: Primark. It’s the only job she could get and it makes her blood boil everyday. She hates the customers, she hates the cheaply made clothing. She is constantly applying to other jobs but she cannot get anywhere yet.

100% of respondents were interested in another flashbang

Can I just say that I'm so proud how far NNT has come with the Shall We Date series and with Obey Me?

If you ever played the older Shall We Date games, you will know what I'm talking about. They all had the same boring and slow system, the same chaotic interface (Heck, they even had similar characters)... And there weren't that many people who knew about them (at least in the western side of the world, idk about Japan). I remember that I used to play Blood N' Roses and Niflheim, and I never got too excited about them. These games... Weren't that big of a deal. Not even talking that more about a lack of a western fandom, it's more of a quality-based point of view.

Ngl tho, I liked Niflheim........ R.I.P. Deceased, but never forgotten

But Obey Me??????

It's like they went "Let's pick the best pieces of all of our games, put them together... And put 100% more effort, make it fucking awesome and this time it will be a bomb."

Seriously tho if you have played the older SWD games you can find so many similarities, it's really like they fused all of their previous games to create Obey Me lololol But anyway back to the point

They REALLY stepped up their game with OM. A very improved version of the super boring battle system they've always used. The gacha cards system (which is smth popular these days, so it was a smart move of them). Character animation. Awesome voice actors. Chats and calls system. More ways of gaining energy and power than in the other games. Charismatic non-romanceable characters (that actually make a difference in the plot!). Better user interface. Good dynamics between the romanceable characters. And last, but not least... The freaking opening. Super well animated, and Sinful Indulgence is UTTER AND PURE FIRE. We don't deserve Miura Ayme. What a king. And apparently we will be getting more character songs soon too, so hell yeah!

What. A. Glow. Up. And that glow up paid off! OM got a solid fandom in the west. 140k views on Arcadia in a little more than a week. Two million downloads in less than a year (quarantine did helped with that but screw it, they deserve it regardless). 500k streams in Sinful Indulgence on Spotify, and 500k views on YouTube too, also in less than a year. Just so you have an idea, Wizardess Heart's trailer got 322k in a span of five years. Ninja Shadow's trailer got 62k in four years.

And the fact that they launched the fiasco that was Story Jar a month before Obey Me was released makes all that I mentioned even more impressive. Oh yeah, and there was....... Whatever the heck Moe Ninja Girls was about

TL;DR: Obey Me really shows how much NNT has evolved by being superior to its other releases in many, many ways, and I'm proud that their hard work on this game has paid off <3

I’m pleased to say I imported three of my older fics from FFNet over to AO3, just so everything is in one place and I don’t risk losing anything. These are much older fics from 2016 and 2017, so if you’ve never read any of my older stuff please go check them out:

Saint and Sin (Ban/Elaine, 3 chapters) Summary: Elaine and Ban have a connection stronger than death. This is a story about that connection.

Deadly Kingdom (Elizabeth/Meliodas, 5 chapters) Summary: In order to save Meliodas' soul, Elizabeth must descend into a journey to face herself. AU, set after manga Chapter 177.

The Story of Us (Elizabeth/Meliodas, 2 chapters) Summary: A girl named Elizabeth meets a blond stranger. Again. A new twist (I hope) on an old story, set in present day.

PLUS: Coming this week I will start publishing on AO3 two more of my old stories: What Ought to Be, one of my very first NnT fanfics that is set after the first season of the anime, and The Time That Is Given, a collab I did with woundedowl that sends Elizabeth forward in time to after the manga. Both were written years ago, and although my writing style has changed, they have been super fun to revisit. Since they are both longer works I’ll be publishing a chapter every other day, so please make sure to visit AO3 this week and bookmark so you can read along!

But my big news....

With these fics ported over, that means that my new fic, Marked, which begins publishing on Friday will be NUMBER 100 on AO3!! I’m so excited to hit this milestone, and I need to figure out a way to celebrate. So keep your eyes on this blog for when I update all the posting I’m doing this week, and when I figure out what I want to do for 100 fics I’ll do an announcement then.

A new beginning

December 31, 2020

2020 really felt like five years, all jam-packed into one. If you’re reading this, I’m glad you made it out alive with me. Still here, and onto the next one.  

Over the past few days I’ve thought about what I’d like my next year to look like. So, I figured I’d document what I came up with on here. The following is a list of what I’d like to see and get out of 2021: 

Personal (self-related): 

1/ Consistency with at-home workouts, 6 days a week; road to 185 lbs begins tomorrow.

2/ Start training Jiu Jitsu (depending on when gyms open up again).

3/ To bring symmetry to my understanding of religion and “comfortable belief from a distance” - this may not make sense, but I know what I’ve typed here. 

4/ Celebrate short wins along the way. To not be too hard on myself by being occupied by some future and “larger” goal yet left to accomplish. In other words, stop and smell the roses.

5/ Be more forgiving and empathetic towards other peoples’ (perceivable - my perception, that is) shortcomings.

6/ “If you do not take risks for your opinion, you are nothing.” - NNT. 

As my friend put it: having strong viewpoints without bending to other peoples’ will, and thinking you’re better than people - is a very thin line. The “my way or the highway” approach is how you isolate yourself from society and create enemies of anyone who does not agree with you. 

Furthermore, “a fallen soldier will always remain more honorable than someone who has never been a soldier” (NNT, again). In other words, someone who has never rolled up their sleeves to try, is in no position to critique how someone else rolled up their sleeves, and what they did afterward. 

Long story short, in 2021 I want do more and talk less.

Professional (bread-related): 

1/ Graduate from business school, in June 2021. 

2/ Secure a job at a startup company, where I think the most learning will take place.

3/ Start a podcast with my friend, which will basically be the audio/video version of my unfiltered thoughts and blogs. Not really for money, but still felt more suitable for the professional section. 

4/ Develop a foundational understanding of day-trading. If things go according to plan, by Jan 2022 I go live on the market.

Let’s see how true to this list I can be over the next 12 months. I guess I’ll find out eventually at the end of 2021.
