hi okay hi you’ve probably seen me in your notifications for the last twenty minutes because i am absolutely obsessed with the way you write poly!marauders.
i was wondering if you could write something about the (fem)reader who slowly starts dissociating when things get tough and she’s not really present and while they’re concerned, they just show their love for her through caring until she comes back to herself. it’s completely okay if you can’t!!!
Thanks honey, I'm so glad you enjoy my blog! Love the pfp btw, I personally think that was Spence’s best hair. I know everyone experiences dissociation differently so I did some research and I hope this is alright! Many apologies if it’s not accurate
cw: dissociation, brief mention of sexual assault
poly!marauders x fem!reader ♡ 910 words
You’re grateful to Sirius for defending you. You are, but the man’s hand on your ass had caused some deer-in-the-headlights glitch in your brain, and the yelling that ensued only made you retreat further into yourself. You know, distantly, that it’s Sirius’ voice, and that he’s yelling for you, not at you. But it’s all noise to you, a ruckus that means danger, and then there’s movement, and more hands, and everything that would be too much if you weren’t so far away.
You feel like you’re sitting at the bottom of a swimming pool, everything above the surface of the water muffled and distorted. What happens up there doesn’t concern you. It’s peaceful down here, even if there is a certain wrongness to it. You know you don’t belong here, not really, but you can hold your breath and try to make it last.
“Baby?” a voice says. “Hey, you okay?”
“Don’t shake her, that’s not going to help.” You can’t tell if it’s another voice or the same. The comfort it brings you doesn't change, and you can’t force yourself to care either way. You can’t care at all, really, about anything. You wonder if you should be worried about that, but feelings are something out of your reach, and maybe it’s better that way.
“Something’s wrong with her.”
“I can see that, love. We’re almost home.”
“You don’t think she’s hurt, do you?”
More hands. You want to flinch away, but it’s like you’re moving through a thick sludge. “You’re alright, dove, I’m just checking that you’re okay. Do you hurt anywhere?”
“Why isn’t she talking?”
“I don’t know. I think…maybe she’s just overwhelmed. I don’t think she’s bleeding anywhere.”
“Fuck. Shit, is this a panic attack? Do you think she needs a doctor or something?”
“Let’s just give her a few minutes.”
There’s more talking, but you give up on trying to decipher it. After a while, something cushy comes up underneath you, or maybe you go down onto it. Your hand is warm, and then it’s pressed to soft fabric. “Feel my heart going in there, baby? Can you focus on that for me?”
You’ve made such a cozy home for yourself in your head that it takes you some time to realize everything around you has gone quiet. There’s a persistent bumping at your palm.
“Don’t tight hugs help with panic attacks?”
“We don’t know if that’s what this is. What if it scares her?”
“Hey, angel, can you hear me? Come back to us.”
The wrongness of where you are is starting to set in, the voices at the surface louder and more insistent. You think that maybe your chest is starting to ache.
Something moves your feet, and then you're touching something interesting. Soft and a bit rough, familiar. Carpet.
“Breathe, honey. Good. Again. We’ve got you, take your time.”
You’re conscious of your breaths first, the effort it takes to fill and empty your lungs. Then the plush material under your thighs; you’re sitting on something. Awhile longer, and you realize you’re blinking, your eyes intermittently dry and then not. Eventually you register your hand, pressed to a beating heart. Sirius’ heart.
You don't try to speak yet as you take in your surroundings. You’re home, on the couch, and someone’s taken off your socks and shoes, your feet bare on the carpet. You don’t know how any of that happened, which is unsettling, but the realization that you can feel unsettled comes with a sharp relief.
Sirius’ finger swipes over your wrist where he’s gripping your hand to his chest, and your next exhale is shaky.
“Dove?” Remus’ tone is cautious.
“Sorry,” you say croakily. “I don’t know what that was.”
Sirius sighs, letting your hand drop from his chest, and Remus grips your ankle from where he sits by your feet, stroking his thumb over your achilles’ tendon in a way that you suspect is as much for him as it is for you.
“Fucking scary, is what it was,” James says, voice thick with tears. “Can I hug you?”
You nod, and his arms come around you with his usual eagerness, though you notice his hands trembling just a little. You squeeze his shoulders tightly.
“I’m really sorry.”
“Hey, no sorries, okay?” Sirius says, though even he sounds exhausted from what you’ve just put them through. “You obviously couldn’t help it. Do you feel alright now?”
“Yeah,” you say, though you’re unsure. You feel relatively normal at the moment, but the knowledge that you can slip into numbness that easily doesn’t allow for much comfort. “I’m just…really tired, for some reason.”
Remus hums. “I think your brain was doing a lot of work just now. Makes sense you’d need a rest.”
James releases you from the hug but only sits back far enough to see your face, his hands lingering at your waist like he’s worried you’ll slip away if he lets go. “Want to cancel dinner and have a night in, sweetheart?”
You nod, your throat closing as warmth rushes to your face. “Yes, please.”
“Hey,” Sirius says at your tears, voice lightly chiding but full of concern, “what’s wrong? You sure you’re feeling okay?”
“I’m okay,” you promise, swiping under your eyes. “Just, thank you guys for helping me. That was really scary.”
“I know,” Remus says, palm sliding up your leg as he rises to give you a hug of his own. “I know it was, honey, but you don’t have to worry. We’ve always got you.”

Hi! I've only recently stumbled upon your blog and got pleasantly surprised from seeing your pfp. Little did i know i had a whole treasure trove of a blog to look forward to.
I absolutely ADORE your blog and as a figure collector, I'd like to share one and only piece of anime merch
Tumblr media
She's a bit dusty and has color markings all over which I try to clean, and slowly chip away at. I also try to make her a new skirt every year, trying new materials and shapes, as I shamefully let my old friends lose her stand and skirt piece.
I know this wasn't much of an ask but I appreciate your time. Have a good rest of your whatever it is!
This is so cute, I love her so much. I actually have a few figures of my own that are missing pieces, I love them to bits and they hold a special place in my heart. Your Haruhi is clearly loved and it makes me so happy. Her skirt is so cute LMAO I wonder if you could get a cute dolls skirt for her? And thank you so much for your kind words, I'm glad you enjoy the blog.
Matching!!

Oomfs and I went to Goodwill, ate at Ihop, and then watched Saltburn! At Goodwill I got a shirt that is green that matches the black shirt and the brown shirt that Oomfs are holding in the picture. I also got a sick jacket that is black on the outside and red on the inside, and a blue dress. Every time I go to Goodwill I look for a dress for school dances, and I never find one that I actually like. But the dress I bought today is good! I have to make the straps longer and a different material because they dig into my shoulders and the boob area is too high up, but other than that I think it fits well! I am always surprised when I find stuff that fits me because I have very little sense in how my body looks/what size I am. We went to Ihop after Goodwill because there is the Wonka menu. We shared the pancake tacos, which were actually really good! I probably would never order it if other people didn't want it, just because the description and picture on the menu makes it seem awful, but if it was put in front of me I would devour it. I watched Saltburn a few weeks ago, but I watched it again because Oomfs hadn't seen it. I feel exactly the same about it as I did when I originally watched it: the cinematography is amazing and it is a high quality movie in every aspect (soundtrack, production, editing, plot/writing, etc) but I didn't particularly enjoy it. It's not that I didn't enjoy it, but I didn't love it. I gave it 3.5 stars on letterboxd. Its crazy how I have watched 3 movies so far this year. Anyway, as I write this I have a mysterious stomach ache, which has been happening more frequently than previous eras of my life. In late elementary school and middle school my brother used to pretend to have stomach aches and be sick so he could skip school, and then I started to do it because I didn't want to go to softball practice. But now every time I complain about a stomach ache I think my parents think I am lying.
I am going to change my pfp and header on here eventually. Maybe. I also said I would change my pfp on twitter, but now it has been almost a year and it is still Jesse Eisenberg (pookie).

Continuing in explaining what the crypto is NFT, why you're not actually paying for art when you buy an NFT.
A lot of people don't even know what they're buying when they purchase an NFT.
That is, again, by design. I heard people say NFTs were explained to them like they're pre-drawn commissions. They are very much not that. An NFT is a "non-fungible token" where the non-fungible stands for the fact you cannot directly exchange it for anything else directly. You need to sell it for crypto first and you can use that to exchange for other goods/services.
Example of non-fungible items are diamonds. You cannot use them as currency, you need to sell them first. And, much like NFTs, their value is usually fake. Diamonds are nowhere near as rare and valuable as we're told, hence where the "a diamond is forever" marketing line. Diamond sellers, almost all of whom are one corporation, want you to buy them but not sell them. Every diamond sale will be a loss to you, you can try it if you have one. There are exceptions but those are expensive due to their reputation more than the fact they're a diamond.
But even with diamonds being worth considerably less than you pay for them, you at least get to hold your diamond. You physically own in. It looks pretty. You can leave it to your children and you can even insure it if it's worth enough, you likely have some receipt for it too. Meanwhile, the "token" part of NFT relates only to the receipt. Basically, you buy an overpriced diamond, then you are handed the receipt and that's it. You don't take the diamond home. You can't hold it or touch it. But you can put a photo of it as your twitter PFP.
The problem is there is nothing in the sale that indicates you're the only one that can do that. Other people can walk past that diamond, take a photo, and set it as their twitter PFP. They can save it to their device and have a copy. Because you don't own the image.
When you purchase an NFT, you pay for the "non-fungible token" and not the image it links to. This article here explains it, however I have issue with them saying the NFT is analogous to a deed to a house. This is technically correct in that a deed to a house does not always mean you can do whatever you want with your house. But you own your house. It's there, it's physical. NFTs are digital and there is no such thing as "the original" copy of a digital image. What you actually pay for a receipt that says you paid money for not the image, but the receipt. It relates only to itself and sometimes has a picture attached. But everyone has access to that picture. Everyone can make an identical copy that is indistinguishable from yours. You don't get rights to use it in any way once you've paid that you didn't before the sale. You could have set it as your PFP already. You had the same rights to save it to your device as well. And you could not profit off of the image itself, before and after the sale.
You can absolutely profit off the NFT, of course. You can sell your receipt to someone else. But you legally do not own the image attached to it. You can't put it on a t-shirt and sell merch. If you put your randomly generated monkey on your merch you will get a copyright strike. That's why many NFT scams (that's what they all are even if the creator isn't aware) also sell merch. Because you cannot. You don't own their shitty little picrew-wannabe images. It's also why they just steal art. They're not selling the art, they're selling receipts
The problem is many people assume they're buying the art. You cannot buy the original of a digital art piece. That's now why digital commissions exist. You pay an artist to draw something they otherwise would not draw. You ask for an image to be created and pay for it. The same goes for traditional art btw, you don't pay the artist because the materials are expensive. You cover the materials, for sure, but when I paint a watercolor piece, the cost to me is negligible. The pay is for me to create something I spend my time and skill on.
That's why I charge $100+ for a full body image with a background, but I wouldn't charge more than $20 for a print of the same image, because I just want the cost of the print plus a bit on top for my IP for it. I don't spend a lot of time or skill making a print. 1
Meanwhile an NFT is just digital dibs. It's the ability to say you gave money to say you gave money. Except each time you do, you waste a week's worth of a household's energy consumption. And even if you buy the NFT form an artist you want to support, they recieve that payment in cryptocurrency. They will now be taxed on that, but when they cash out, if they even can, which isn't a given btw, they will lose a large portion of that income. They may even end up with less money than what they have to pay to the IRS. And in my previous thread I explained why it can be impossible to cash out crypto, so they may be on the hook for money they cannot possibly access. Just send them a ko-fi.
So, to summarize, when you buy an NFT you trade your money for fungible tokens - the crypto coin - to trade them for non-fungible tokens - a receipt that says you spend money to buy it. It has an image attached. You have no rights to it. The artist you bought from now owes IRS money they don't have.
I have a photocopy of a receipt I saved from my trip to Paris, from the Chat Noir cafe. I used it for a little collage because I enjoyed that trip a lot. That photocopy has more tangible worth than an NFT because that receipt at least relates a pleasant memory to me.
Oh, and nothing stops the seller of the NFT from removing the image from the NFT link, by the way. There are people who paid thousands in crypto for an NFT that later had their image asset deleted. Because none of it is regulated, because the blockchain makes it impossible to track who owns what, as it's all anonymized and decentralized.
There isn't even anyone you can report theft to. All it takes is for someone to get access to your wallet, physically or digitally, and just take all your crypto.
