“Please.”
You smirked down at your boyfriend, whose hands were cuffed to the headboard of your bed, and lifted your chin expectantly.
“Please, what?”
“Please, baby,” he whimpered.
“Not exactly what I was looking for,” you mused, dropping your hand by your side.
Tom pulled against the restraints helplessly, big brown eyes staring up at you desperately. He looked so pretty like this. His face was flushed pink with embarrassment and exertion,  sweaty curls sticking to his forehead. He was achingly hard, cock throbbing against his stomach, precum dripping from the tip onto his pale skin.
You had been edging him for the past two hours and he was reaching his breaking point. It wasn’t often that Tom let you have control in the bedroom, but when he did you took full advantage.
And maybe it had something to do with you dressing up as Sexy Velma from Scooby Doo 2 for Halloween and quoting the “who’s your mommy” line as soon as you stepped into the living room, but you couldn’t be sure.
He had dragged you to the bedroom the moment you ran out of candy to give to trick-or-treaters and kneeled on the hardwood floor, looking up at you with those puppy dog eyes before asking if he could eat you out.
Now hours later here he was, coming undone under your touch. You almost felt bad as you watched the tears well up in his eyes, but you reminded yourself of how many times you’d been in the exact same position and he wasn’t near as lenient as you.
You pumped his cock a couple more times, pulling away when he tried to take control of the pace and fucked up into your hand.
“Please, please let me cum,” he begged.
“Mmmm, not tonight, baby boy,” you tsked. “I don’t think you deserve it.”
“But-”
“I don’t want to hear it.”
Tom opened his mouth to argue, but then closed it again as if he thought better of it.
“Only good boys get to cum, isn’t that right, Tommy?”
“Yes, that’s right. I can be good!”
“I’m sure you can, but it’s getting late.” You turned to look at the clock sitting on the nightstand next to you. “It’s almost midnight and we both have to work tomorrow. Maybe if you ask nicely I’ll let you cum tomorrow.”
“But tomorrow-”
“What did I say?”
You could see the anger etching its way into his features, but he pushed it back, still eager to please in case you changed your mind.
“You don’t want to hear it.”
“That’s right. Now let’s get you cleaned up before we go to bed.”
-
Tom was already gone when you woke up the next morning. You smirked to yourself as you stretched out in the empty bed. You weren’t fucking around this year.
The night before had gone off without a hitch and you had Tom right where you wanted him. It had been your plan all along to rile him up on October 31st so that by the time midnight rolled around on November 1st he was already at a disadvantage in the No Nut November game.
You knew he was making that stupid bet with Harrison again. Harrison’s girlfriend had mentioned it in passing- about how sore she was because Haz was essentially trying to cum as many times as he could before November to prepare for the dry season.
That was when you began planning. Your boyfriend, as lovely as he was, really fucked you over the last few years. You figured it was about time to give him a dose of his own medicine.
-
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.”
“You slammed the front door, obviously something’s wrong.”
“Nothing’s wrong,” Tom insisted as he kicked off his shoes in the entryway.
“Did something happen at work?”
“No, work was fine,” he snapped. “I’m fine.”
You scoffed at him in disbelief, rolling your eyes behind his back. If he was already this frustrated on the first day of November, you didn’t know how you were going to survive the next four weeks- or however long he ended up lasting this time.
Tom sighed, and turned to you. “I’m sorry. I’m just tired.”
“It’s okay.”
“No, no it’s not. I shouldn’t have raised my voice at you. I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright,” you said earnestly, kissing him on the cheek, then the jaw, then the neck. “I can think of a few ways you can make it up to me.”
Tom pulled away from you suddenly, shaking his head. “I-I can’t, baby. I’m sorry.”
You stared at him expectantly, waiting for an explanation as if you didn’t already know why he was turning you down.
“It’s November.” You blinked dumbly, wanting him to spell it out for you. “And my friends and I are doing No Nut November again-”
“Oh! That’s right!” you gasped. “There are more people participating this year?”
“Yeah, Tuwaine is, I think Jacob might be... and some of the guys from golf.”
“Sounds like you’ve got some competition this year.”
Tom sighed, running a hand through his curls. “Yeah, it’s gonna be a long fucking month.”
You frowned. “Sorry, babe.”
“It’s fine, I-” he paused, narrowing his eyes at you from behind the wirey frames of his glasses. “You’re not mad?”
“No, why would I be?”
“I dunno, you usually are.”
“I don’t know if I’d call it mad...”
“Last year you yelled at Harrison in the middle of a hotel hallway about how upset you were over the bet. I’m pretty sure you woke up the whole floor.”
“Fine, maybe in the previous years I was a little annoyed, but I expected it this year. I’ll try to stay out of your way.”
Your boyfriend raised an eyebrow in suspicion. “Really?”
“What do you mean?”
“You’re not... planning anything?” You shook your head in response, fingers crossed behind your back. “You’re not even going to try and tempt me like you usually do?”
“I don’t have enough energy for that.”
He looked like he didn’t believe you, but ultimately let it go. Little did he know you wouldn’t have to lift a finger to get him to break this time. He was already wrapped around your finger.
“Are you hungry, baby?” you asked, changing the subject. “I can order us pizza.”
He broke into a smile, and nodded. “I’m starving.”
-
You were patient. One week passed, then two. You stayed true to your word. You kept to yourself, only kissed Tom when you were saying goodbye or goodnight, and even wore pants to bed. And you waited.
Tom wasn’t a very patient person in general, even less so when he was sexually frustrated. It was evident in the way he cursed to himself whilst going over lines, in the way he had started going on long runs each morning despite the November chill, in the way he would catch himself staring at you even when you weren’t doing anything worth staring at. He woke up painfully hard every single day and would spend at least half an hour in the shower underneath the cold water, willing his erection to subside.
Ironically, you used the same shower in a completely opposite way. When you felt yourself craving something a little more intimate than the chaste kisses and short embraces, you resorted to taking long showers, muffling your moans with one of your hands as you used the other to try and relieve the arousal burning in your stomach. It wasn’t enough. Of course it wasn’t enough. You couldn’t even make yourself cum very hard because you knew you couldn’t make a lot of noise, and weren’t good at being quiet in bed.
“Angel, you’ve been in there a while, are you okay?”
You didn’t happen to hear your sweet boyfriend calling for you through the door, seeing as you were preoccupied with your hand between your legs, bracing yourself against the tile wall as you fantasized about him being the one to make you feel good.
You pictured yourself blindfolded on all fours with Tom fucking you from behind, whispering dirty words into your ear. He’d tease you by slowing down every time you got close and-
You whimpered his name accidentally. You clapped a hand over your mouth as soon as the word slipped past your lips, but it was too late.
“What’s wrong- oh shit, sorry!” He covered his eyes and backed into the wall. “Fuck-”
“Sorry! Sorry!” you cried, yanking your hand away and shutting off the water.
You grabbed your towel from the hook on the door and hurriedly dried off, wrapping it around your body as you followed Tom into the bedroom.
He was pacing the floor with a hand over his mouth, staring at the ground.
“Baby, I’m sorry. You weren’t supposed to-”
“You were in the shower for so long, I thought you were sick or something! I called your name asking if you were okay!”
“Obviously I didn’t hear you!”
“I know, you were clearly too busy.”
“Are you... mad?” you asked, crossing your arms over your chest. “You usually don’t care if I masturbate.”
“Yeah, while I’m gone! I was right here in the bedroom, you could have just asked me for help!”
“I was trying to be considerate!”
“What does that even mean?”
“Are you fucking kidding me?”
“Does it look like I’m kidding?” he scoffed. “Enlighten me, please.”
“Your bet!”
“What about my bet?”
“There’s still like two weeks left of November. You’re not supposed to cum.”
Tom took a deep breath, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Baby, it’s really sweet that you’re concerned about my bet, but you don’t need to do all of this just for me. It’s not worth it.”
You stuck your bottom lip out into a pout. “I thought you wanted to win.”
“I do! But not so much that I’m neglecting you. If I had known how needy you were I would’ve helped!”
“How was I supposed to know that? Two years ago we had a written list of rules, one of which was to not masturbate in front of you!”
“I-” he paused. “Yeah, and that was two years ago. I was weaker then.” You pursed your lips, but didn’t comment. “What, you don’t believe me?”
“I never said that.”
“Your face said it for you- not to mention your actions! You’ve been masturbating in the shower, hiding from me all because you think I’m going to pop a boner and cum my pants like a comp sci major who’s never seen boobs before.”
You rolled your eyes. “Look, I just didn’t want to make the bet harder for you by fingering myself in front of you-”
“You were fingering yourself?”
“What did you think I was doing in there?”
“I was trying not to think about it.”
“I feel like you’re proving my point right now.”
“I can handle it,” he assured you. “The bet doesn’t involve you, so I can still make you feel good. As long as I don’t cum.”
“So fucking me is out of the question, then.”
“Obviously.”
“I just- are you sure about this?”
“Yes, baby. I want to make you feel good.” He seemed to think for a moment before propping himself up on the bed, using pillows to support his back. “Why don’t you ride my thigh?”
Your pulse quickened at the mere thought and you gulped, pressing your legs together discreetly.
“Do you want me to?” you asked.
“Fuck yeah, I want you to. What kind of question is that?”
You chuckled and hesitantly let go of your towel, letting it fall to the floor. Tom sucked in a breath, pupils dilating immediately at the sight of your naked body. You felt your cheeks grow warm as his gaze traveled lower and lower. He licked his lips absentmindedly and beckoned you closer with a flick of his fingers.
You approached the bed and climbed on his lap, slotting his right thigh between your legs. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders and looked to him for direction.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered, mostly to himself. “I missed this.”
“I missed it too.”
You shivered as he ran a hand down your back, letting his fingers ghost over your spine until they came to rest on your ass.
“Did you make yourself cum in the shower just now?”
You shook your head shyly, unable to meet his eyes. “I wasn’t able to before you... but I almost did, I was s-so close. I wanted it so bad.”
“I know, darling. I can feel you soaking through my joggers already.”
You bit your lip in embarrassment. “Sorry.”
“You know you never need to apologize for that,” Tom assured you. “Besides, I know you can never make yourself feel quite as good as I can.”
You nodded again in agreement and started to rock yourself back and forth on his thigh, angling your hips so that the material of his pants created friction against your clit. You moaned softly and let your head fall back.
“Poor baby, so desperate.” Tom pressed a gentle kiss to your bare shoulder, rubbing comforting circles on your back as he watched you ride his thigh. “I can’t imagine how many times you’ve made yourself cum wishing it was me.”
“I lost count,” you whined pathetically.
“That checks out.”
Tom began flexing his thigh underneath you- as well as he could manage in his position- and you shuddered, leaning into him. He met you halfway and took one of your tits into his mouth, nipping at the tender skin with his teeth and then soothing the mark with his tongue.
“God, I missed your mouth,” you groaned.
He chuckled against you, sending vibrations through your body and making you curse. You were still sensitive from the shower so it didn’t surprise you when you felt pressure building in your abdomen, already threatening to explode.
You could feel Tom’s cock hardening against your knee, but he was ignoring it to focus on you. A little thought in the back of your mind told you that this was a bad idea. Tom hadn’t cum in almost three weeks and he was easily set off as it was- and that was without taking into account the way you’d edged him on Halloween. You were starting to feel guilty about that. Here Tom was, risking losing No Nut November to make you feel good all while you’d been plotting behind his back. But you reminded yourself that this was revenge. Tom had insisted he’d be fine anyway. He could hold out... maybe.
“And I missed your tits.”
You rolled your eyes. “So romantic.”
He smirked. “Why do you think I play so many leading men?”
“Oh so Arvin Russell and Peter Parker are casanovas? Could’ve fooled me.”
“Shut up,” he growled.
“You first.”
Tom brought his hands to your hips, helping you find a good rhythm. He could tell you were getting tired so he tried bouncing his leg on the mattress to help get you there. His brows were furrowed in concentration and you could see that he was struggling not to grind against you.
“I want you so bad you have no idea,” he panted.
“I think I have somewhat of an idea,” you quipped, nudging his cock with your knee.
“Very funny.”
“Thank you.”
“Are you close?”
You nodded, your eyes squeezed shut. “I’m so close, Tom- fuck!”
He pinched your clit between his fingertips a couple of times, coaxing you over the edge.
“Baby, I-I, I’m gonna- I’m gonna,” you tried to warn him, but you were too far gone to string the words together. Thankfully your boyfriend was well-versed in your gibberish and understood instantly.
“That’s it, darling. Cum all over my thigh,” he encouraged.
You nearly screamed as it hit you, and you bit Tom’s shoulder to muffle it.
“Fuck!” he shouted, going completely rigid underneath you.
You froze in panic, abandoning your pleasure as your cunt still clenched helplessly around nothing, and lifted your head to meet your boyfriend’s eyes.
“Did you just...”
He grimaced, eyes closed and body trembling from the aftershocks. “Yeah.”
“Shit, I’m so sorry!” you exclaimed and scrambled off of his lap.
Tom’s gray sweats were completely ruined, from the inside out. There was a wet patch on his thigh from where you’d been riding it, and another where his crotch was. You could still see his cock twitching pathetically through the fabric.
“It’s not your fault, baby. It’s mine.”
“I mean, it’s kind of my fault,” you argued. “I bit you... and also kind of sabotaged you.”
“What?”
“Do you remember Halloween? When I edged you for like two or three hours?”
Tom’s eyes widened in realization. “You didn’t-”
“Not letting you cum the day before November started may or may not have been intentional. I wanted you to start the month off at a disadvantage so you’d lose. I, uh, didn’t expect you to offer to get me off. I’m really sorry, Tom.”
You expected him to be furious. You wouldn’t have blamed him if he was. But instead of storming out or giving you the silent treatment or doing anything that would indicate he was upset, he started laughing. You took a nervous step back, unsure of whether that was a good or a bad thing.
“That’s really smart,” he admitted.
“You- you’re not mad?”
He shook his head and smirked. “No, I’m not. I should’ve seen it coming, honestly. I’ve put you through No Nut November so many times already. It was about time you got me back.”
“But it was mean of me!”
“I mean, I can’t argue with that. But I arguably deserved it.” He looked you up and down, trying to hide his impressed grin. “I can’t believe it. Who knew my girlfriend was such a conniving little brat?”
You returned his smile and climbed back onto his lap. You tilted his chin up with the tips of your fingers, leaning down to kiss him. You broke away a moment later, admiring your boyfriend’s wrecked state.
“Pretty sure you already knew that.”
“I might have.”
Tom wrapped his arms around your body and pulled you close.
“I’m sorry for making you lose No Nut November,” you mumbled.
“It’s okay, baby. You already apologized.”
“I know, but still...” you trailed off and slipped your fingers under the waistband of his sweats. “Let me make it up to you?”

Referred Species: T. guttatus (White-Throated Tinamou), T. tao (Grey Tinamou), T. solitarius (Solitary Tinamou), T. osgoodi (Black Tinamou), T. major (Great Tinamou)
Tinamus is a smaller genus of Tinamou that, ironically, contains some of the largest species of tinamou. Sadly, no extinct species of this bird exists, so it’s difficult to determine when Tinamus first appeared in the fossil record; it stands to reason that they probably first appeared at some point in the Miocene. There are five species of this Tinamou, that I shall discuss - once again - in alphabetical order by species.
Tumblr media
White-Throated Tinamou by Livaldo Fregona, CC BY-SA 3.0
The White-Throated Tinamou is a Tinamou from Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. It has brown feathers with white spots, especially on the neck, lending it its name. They’re usually about 32 and 36 centimeters in length. They eat fruit on the ground as well as invertebrates, flowers, leaves, seeds, and roots in tropical forests at low elevations. Males will mate with as many as four other females, and then incubate the eggs for two to three weeks in a nest in dense brush or between roots. These birds are slightly threatened due to deforestation.
Tumblr media
Grey Tinamou by Livaldo, in the Public Domain
The Grey Tinamou is an even larger species from Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia, and Guyana. It lives in humid lowland forests and some mountain forests, and is about 46 centimeters in length, making it one of the largest Tinamous. As its name suggests, they are basically entirely gray in color, with some black and brown striping and some white spotting. It is a very shy bird with a distinctive song. The male will incubate the ground and raise the eggs, and they feed on fruit and species. Unfortunately, due to deforestation, it’s vulnerable to extinction.
Tumblr media
Solitary Tinamou by Francesco Veronesi, CC BY-SA 2.0
The Solitary Tinamou is another large tinamou - about 45 centimeters in length - from Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. It is a large, brown tinamou with stripes of black and patches of grey and white on its body. It lays blue eggs that are incubated by the males, and the males also rear the young for a little while. They eat fruits and seeds in humid forests and mountain forests, and unfortunately logging has made it near threatened to extinction.
Tumblr media
Black Tinamou by Pablo José Negret, under Fair Use
The Black Tinamou is another large one, about 40 to 46 centimeters in length, and they’re very stocky birds with the females larger than the males. They’re really slate grey rather than black, and they have some brown on the wings and stomach. They also have blue-grey legs and brown eyes. They make whistles about one second long, but very little is known of its behavior - though it has been shown to feed on nuts. They lay shiny blue eggs in nests of two, and seem to breed between March and November. They’re mostly known from Peru and Columbia, in the mountain forests of the Andes, and unfortunately they’re also vulnerable to extinction.
Tumblr media
Great Tinamou by Tony Castro, CC BY-SA 4.0
The Great Tinamou is not actually the largest bird in this genus - it’s only about 44 centimeters in length - but still, they’re the weight and size of a small turkey regardless. They’re brownish to olive colored, and coloration varies across subspecies. They make three short loud piping notes in a row for a call, which can be heard throughout their rainforest habitat in the early evening. Males once again take care of the eggs, with multiple males mating with multiple females and vice versa and the males incubating about four eggs until hatching, with the eggs a light green color. The male will then care for the chicks for about three weeks before starting the process again - the breeding season itself is very long, from mid winter to late summer. They eat a variety of seeds, fruit, and small invertebrates, even frogs and small lizards in leaf litter, and they live primarily in rainforests and lowland forests, as well as swamps, mostly in lower latitudes, and they aren’t affected by forest fragmentation. Still, they’re near threatened due to habitat destruction.

Footnotes (r) Revised
Exports All Exports: Prices for U.S. exports rose 0.6 percent in April and have not recorded a decline since June 2017. The monthly advance was driven by higher nonagricultural export prices which more than offset declining agricultural prices. The price index for U.S. exports increased 3.8 percent over the past year, the largest 12-month increase since a 4.8-percent rise for the year ended November 2011. The index has not recorded a decrease on a 12-month basis since a 0.2-percent decline between November 2015 and November 2016. Agricultural Exports: Prices for agricultural exports fell 1.2 percent in April after recording a 3.2-percent rise in March. The decline in April was the first monthly drop in agricultural prices since the index fell 0.3 percent in December 2017. Lower export prices for soybeans, nuts, and wheat drove the April decline. The price index for agricultural exports rose 1.4 percent over the past 12 months and has not declined over a 12- month period since a 1.8-percent decrease in July 2017. All Exports Excluding Agriculture: The price index for nonagricultural exports increased 0.7 percent in April. My weightloss story so far:
I was fairly healthy in highschool. However, when I hit college it all changed. I went from 200 pounds to 275. All I did was wakeup, sit on my drive to school, sit in school, sit on the drive home, sit when I ate, sit while I was studying, and then sleep. No exercise. Tons of terrible foods. Working your brain really does make you hungry. I did great, graduated with my BS and a 4.0 GPA. However, my health was ruined.
I got used to looking down in the shower and not seeing my feet, I got used to being the “big guy.” I felt terrible, and I looked worse. I was on medication for GERD, and having been thinner before, I could see the difference in how people treated me. Enough was enough. I got on track and went down to 225 pounds. I did it by tracking calories, and carefully planning meals.
Then I hit disaster. I started dating a girl who had the metabolism of a mongoose. She could eat anything she wanted and her weight wouldn’t budge from like 120 pounds. It was nuts. The house filled with terrible food... and she would always want pizza, or bread, or anything unhealthy. I ate myself back up to 248 pounds. :(
She left me the day after my birthday. November 12th 2016. I loved her very much, and didn’t want that to happen... but you can’t change what other people feel. However, you always have to rise from the ashes. Every time life knocks you down it is an excuse for you to pick yourself back up. I have been back on track since then and have fought my way to a new low (since highschool) of 207 pounds.
I am now working out 6 days a week, 2 hours a day. Lifting weights, running, and eating like a team of scientists are preparing the meals. lol My goal is to get below 180 and discover a whole new me. I will make it, and I have promised myself that this time, nothing is going to stop me.

U.S. import prices, surveys point to moderate inflation
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. import prices rose less than expected in April as a rebound in the cost of petroleum products was tempered by a drop in food prices, the latest indication that inflation pressures were increasing moderately.
FILE PHOTO – A stack of shipping containers are pictured in the Port of Miami in Miami, Florida, U.S., May 19, 2016. REUTERS/Carlo Allegri/File Photo
The Labor Department said on Friday import prices gained 0.3 percent last month after falling 0.2 percent in March. The report came on the heels of data this week showing benign monthly consumer and wholesale price readings in April.
“Import prices are consistent with our view that domestic inflation pressures will continue to gradually develop,” said Kathryn Asher, an economist at Moody’s Analytics in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Signs of a moderate build-up of price pressures suggest the Federal Reserve will continue to gradually raise interest rates even as inflation is flirting with the U.S. central bank’s 2 percent target.
The Fed’s preferred inflation measure, the personal consumption expenditures price index excluding food and energy, accelerated 1.9 percent year-on-year in March after rising 1.6 percent in February.
Economists polled by Reuters had forecast import prices rising 0.5 percent in April. In the 12 months through April, import prices increased 3.3 percent, matching March’s gain.
With oil prices surging in recent days, economists expect monthly inflation measures to push higher in the coming months.
Crude prices were trading near 3-1/2-year highs on Friday as the prospect of new U.S. sanctions on Iran tightened the outlook for Middle East supply at a time when global crude production is only just keeping pace with rising demand.
President Donald Trump has pulled the United States out of an international nuclear deal with Iran and promised tough sanctions against Tehran.
The moderate inflation theme was also highlighted in the University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment survey, which showed households’ inflation expectations over the next 12 months edging up to 2.8 percent in early May from 2.7 percent in April. Their longer-term inflation expectations were unchanged at 2.5 percent.
Another survey from the Philadelphia Fed saw the core PCE price index averaging 2.0 percent in the second quarter compared to the previous forecast of 1.9 percent. Inflation was seen averaging 2.1 percent in both the third and fourth quarters.
“Inflation is running neither too hot nor too cold,” said Joel Naroff, chief economist at Naroff Economic Advisors in Holland, Pennsylvania. “It is running just right for rate hikes every other meeting.”
The Fed raised interest rates in March and has forecast at least two more hikes for this year. U.S. stocks were trading higher while prices for U.S. Treasuries fell marginally. The dollar slipped against a basket of currencies.
FOOD PRICES FALL
Last month, prices for imported petroleum rebounded 1.6 percent after declining 2.2 percent in March. Excluding petroleum, import prices edged up 0.1 percent in April after being unchanged in the prior month. Import prices excluding petroleum rose 1.7 percent in the 12 months through April.
The cost of imported food fell 0.4 percent in April, declining for a second straight month, while prices for imported capital goods were unchanged. The cost of imported motor vehicles nudged up 0.1 percent.
Import prices for nonfuel industrial supplies and materials increased 0.7 percent after jumping 1.0 percent in March. They were driven by a 4.0 percent surge in the prices of iron and steel mill products. Trump imposed a 25 percent import tariff on steel in March to shield domestic producers from what he said was unfair competition.
The cost of goods imported from China slipped 0.1 percent in April, the first drop in seven months, after rising 0.2 percent in March. Prices increased 0.2 percent in the 12 months through April.
The Labor Department report also showed export prices accelerated 0.6 percent in April after gaining 0.3 percent in March. Prices for agricultural products fell 1.2 percent last month, the first drop since December 2017, weighed down by lower prices for soybeans, nuts and wheat.
Export prices increased 3.8 percent on a year-on-year basis, the largest gain since November 2011, after rising 3.4 percent in March. Prices for nonagricultural exports gained 0.7 percent last month, boosted by a 1.5 percent jump in industrial supplies and materials prices.

The Labor Department said on Friday import prices rose 0.3 percent last month. Data for March was revised to show import prices falling 0.2 percent instead of being unchanged as previously reported.
Economists polled by Reuters had forecast import prices rising 0.5 percent in April. In the 12 months through April, import prices increased 3.3 percent, matching March’s gain.
The report came on the heels of data this week showing tame monthly consumer and wholesale price readings in April. But with oil prices rising in recent days, economists expect prices to push higher in the coming months.

Survey: Android 4.2 is a sweeter-tasting Jelly Bean Android refresh brings enhanced security, multiuser support, and 10" tablet UI.
The last form of Android to be discharged, 4.1, code-named "Jam Bean," was just an incremental knock over the major 4.0 discharge ("Ice Cream Sandwich"). However, that little knock had a major effect. Android turned out to be pretty much completely acknowledged with Ice Cream Sandwich, however Jelly Bean brought a level of clean and development that the stage already needed.
The greatest change for the end-client experience was "Venture Butter," the name given to a gathering of modifications tremendously updating Android's responsiveness to touch include. These included including triple cushioned design rendering and boosting the CPU's clock speed quickly at whatever point the screen is touched (there were additionally a couple of other fundamental engineering enhancements). Taken together, the changes made general execution significantly more reliable in Jelly Bean. Some time recently, Android's interface was equipped for smoothness on adequately quick equipment (see our Optimus G survey for proof of that), yet Jelly Bean conveyed smoothness even to more seasoned equipment like the Motorola Xoom and original Kindle Fire. Utilizing Android at long last felt in the same class as utilizing iOS or Windows Phone.
Presently, just four months after Android 4.1 was discharged into the wild, the versatile working framework is getting another incremental knock. Android 4.2 conveys the same "Jam Bean" code-name as 4.1. It doesn't convey any exceptional changes to the working framework and, given its brisk turnaround, nobody truly anticipated that it would. Be that as it may, it acquaints enough new components with keep Android a sound contender in the awful cell phone and tablet markets.
Multiuser bolster
On tablets, Android 4.2's greatest development is multiuser bolster. These gadgets are frequently shared between relatives, however an approach to keep everybody's chocolate out of every other person's nutty spread has been by and large missing among tablets since the iPad advanced the frame consider 2010. With Android 4.2, unique clients will have the capacity to arrange their own home screens (alongside foundations, applications, and gadgets) and application settings. At long last, there's an approach to enable kids to play amusements on the tablet without unintentionally eradicating the greater part of your work email.
The element might come to tablets now, in any case—theory on precisely why has gone from the harmless (tablets will probably be shared than cell phones) to the quarrelsome (Nokia has its name on a patent that may keep the component's usage on telephones). Google illuminates us the component will likewise be coming to 7-inch tablets, so the Nexus 7 ought to pick up multiuser bolster when its 4.2 refresh drops.
Presently, we have the same number of inquiries as you do about how Android's execution functions: what are its stockpiling prerequisites? What are its memory utilization prerequisites? Will applications be shared between records? Are usernames and passwords set locally, or would you be able to sign in with Google accounts as in Chrome OS? What safety efforts keep one client from getting notices and other information planned for another client? Lamentably, we don't have any answers right now, on the grounds that the Android 4.2 form that empowers multiuser bolster won't be conveyed to Nexus 10 tablets before they start dispatching on November 13. By then, we'll introduce the refresh and distribute a subsequent report.
Warnings
Pull-down warning boards have quite often been a piece of the Android bundle. Apple even took a page from Google's playbook by presenting pull-down notices in its iOS 5 refresh. Notices are the door to the Android cerebrum, empowering clients to watch out for what their handset is doing. They have ended up being an unpretentious method for conveying fundamental data.
In Android 4.1, Google upgraded warnings boards by making a greater amount of them expandable and empowering clients to work inside them without clicking too often. Clients are no longer simply verifying that somebody tweeted them. Rather, they can see precisely what was tweeted, and afterward answer by propelling the Twitter application starting from the pull shade. Notices aren't erased unless they're swiped away or managed, so you don't need to stress over missing something. Now in 4.2, Google has taken after OEMs like Samsung and LG by including a Quick Settings menu. As the smart name demonstrates, Quick Settings permits clients moment access to the most every now and again changed settings—splendor, associating with Wi-Fi, checking information utilization, showing battery life, flipping Airplane mode or Bluetooth, and starting the remote show. (That last one is a piece of Android 4.2's Miracast highlight, which you can read more about on page three.)Google already shrouded these settings behind another screen, obliging clients to tap twice before they can get to it from the Notifications shade. The capacity to change the screen splendor after all other options have been exhausted will spare a ton of eyes from blinding white screens, however we favor the way producers like Samsung and LG have kept settings some portion of the draw down menu. Google as yet including the power control gadget for clients to attach to their Home screens if the twofold tap or twofold finger swipe is one excessively numerous activities.
Both the Notifications and Quick Settings boards are presently additionally available from the bolt screen of a telephone or tablet without an open PIN or secret key. For security reasons, this is crippled on gadgets with passwords be that as it may. It's a pleasant touch in case you're not locking your screen, however you clearly run a colossal danger of information burglary when you utilize a telephone or tablet without a secret word. We prescribe that you overlook this element altogether for securing your information.
New 10-inch tablet UI
Android 4.2, in any event on the Nexus 10, formally resigns the Android tablet UI initially presented in Honeycomb (Android 3.0). This interface made due with couple of useful changes as far as possible up until Android 4.1, as we saw when we introduced the primary Jelly Bean refresh to a Motorola Xoom tablet. This interface imparted many elements in like manner to the telephone and 7-inch tablet UI on other Android gadgets, however it moved things around a bit. The route catches were still put away at the base of the screen, however in the lower-left corner as opposed to in the middle. Notices were gotten to by swiping up from the lower-right corner of the screen instead of down from the top. The application switcher showed up on the left half of the screen as opposed to taking up the entire thing. There were a couple of different changes, however these were the greatest—the final product was something with an indistinguishable elements from an Android telephone, yet requiring distinctive activities to get to regular features. The Nexus 7 made the bounce to a more telephone like UI, and the Nexus 10 takes action accordingly. The new UI makes a few changes be that as it may, since widescreen tablets will frequently be utilized as a part of scene mode. In any case, the nuts and bolts work similarly as they do on the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7: route catches focused amidst the screen, a steady column of utilizations simply over that, and warnings at the highest point of the screen. There are still a few contrasts between the 7-inch and 10-inch tablet interfaces, all of which are less demanding to appear than to tell. The notice focus additionally acts marginally unique on a 10-inch tablet than on a telephone—the standard notice focus is gotten to by swiping down from the top on the left 50% of the screen, while the new brisk settings menu is gotten to by swiping down from the correct half. On the Nexus 4 (and other Android telephones, when and in the event that they get an Android 4.2 refresh), the fast settings menu is gotten to through a catch in the ordinary warning focus or by swiping down from the highest point of the screen with two fingers. The experience of really utilizing a 10-inch Android tablet doesn't change colossally with the new UI. The determined line of utilizations over the base of the screen somewhat diminishes the measure of vertical space accessible for gadgets. This might be a beneficial relinquish to make—generally, applications look and run similarly as they did some time recently.
Some may contend that the new UI isn't the best utilization of a 10-inch tablet's land, yet this strikes us as an admission to ease of use and consistency on Android's part. The old 10-inch UI took natural components from the telephone UI and place them in new places. With the new UI, any individual who grabs and uses a Nexus 7 or a Nexus 4 will consequently have the capacity to get and play with a Nexus 10 without requiring a re-get the hang of anything. This is a little however vital stride in offering Android clients on the bigger tablet. All things considered, an iPad looks and works for the most part like an exploded variant of the iPhone and iPod touch. Over the long haul, this positively kept Apple shoppers agreeable as they move between gadgets.
Be that as it may, the greatest question: will an Android 4.2 refresh to existing 10-inch tablets change the UI to the new telephone style or enable accomplices to keep utilizing the old UI to counteract client dissatisfaction? Having something you utilize each day all of a sudden change can jostle. In any case, regardless of the possibility that it's never again authoritatively bolstered by Google, it's a reasonable wagered outsider launchers will have the capacity to re-empower it on the off chance that you truly incline toward.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful if you do Artist's way morning pages
4.0 out of 5 stars Clarity and a truely different form of journal writing I have written in journals sporatically for years, when I was "in the mood". Morning pages are a different kind of journal writing that must be taken on faith at first. Get up half an hour early every day just to brain dump into a book? Sounds crazy, but it works. As the weeks go by, you find answers as well as grumbling complaints, worries, and random thoughts. Amazingly, as you clear away the clutter of your mind, all these wonderful creative things start to happen. I discovered I was joyful and clear headed when I wrote my morning pages and began looking forward to them like a good friend who always listens patiently. Match them with artist dates, and watch your life change. I highly recommend it. Go to Amazon
5.0 out of 5 stars Best thing to ever Happen to me! I love Cameron. Morning Pages have changed my life forever. That 30 minutes stuff is just nuts, three pages take longer, and I usually finish mine in about 90 minutes. I write, and have explored many issues. Morning Pages, 3 pages everyday, you write, you don't read it, you don't correct it, and you don't think about it! You explore your mind, and it takes you on a wild ride! You will have your life turned upside down, start thinking with a clear head, and write everyday, something many aspiring artists just don't do, and should. This is a method of healing that works, seriously consider this if you want to be an Artist. A painter, a writer, a sculptor, a musician, whatever you want to do creatively, morning pages are a road that will help you get there...This is for all Artists and anyone interested in getting in touch with their creative side! Good Luck. Go to Amazon
1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money Only,if you need serious handholding while doing "The Artist's Way," this might possibly be helpful. It is basically a blank book with the sugested 3 pages ticked off for each writing session. The author threw in some quotes from the book and a couple of paragraphs in the weekly segments. Also, there is no extra room to do some of the exercises each week--a feature that would have been helpful. It isn't even very comfortable to write in.I wish I had looked a little harder at it when making my purchase Go to Amazon
5.0 out of 5 stars The potential to change your life Reading "The Artist's Way" & actually doing some of the key things can change your life. Morning pages are one of the key things (others include a weekly artist date & the use of affirmations) & this is a great volume to start in. I'm a slow learner so I actually went through four of these before I bought my own blank-paged journals. Things I like about this volume include that it forced me to fill a certain amount of space: there are three pages for each day & that's what Cameron wants you to do & this volume gives a very good guide of how much writing is desirable. I also like the quotations, the summaries of the goals for the coming week & even the potentially cheesy contract with myself to commit to the process. Time IS an issue & Cameron's 30 minutes is at least at the beginning optimistic, though that's what I now generally use. At first it might take longer, even significantly longer, but it's well worth it. I started writing morning pages in November 1998. Three years later, I am still writing them. They are a wonderful tool toward a clear head & the working through of issues & about the only thing I believe someone can do wrong in using them is to be afraid of letting whatever comes out come out. Coincidentally (I don't THINK so) I started serious work on my first, non-fiction book at the same time I started morning pages & three years later I'm very close to finishing it, so I know the program works. It also goes very well with 12 Step programs, for people in those. If you buy this journal, also buy "The Artist's Way," the book that lays it all out ... & consider some of Cameron's little books of affirmations, which are outstanding. This is a wonderful tool and deserves five stars. Go to Amazon

2016
While this year has been pretty depressing from a worldwide view, my personal life has been really good. Scholastically, I’ve excelled. I completed my first year of college with a 4.0 GPA. I got my first job, conquered my phone anxiety, gotten a driver’s license :) and I met a crazy bitch named Tanya who drives me nuts 24/7 (FYI Tanya wrote this since Sarah is on the phone)... and I met Tanya, who has no boundaries whatsoever... But out of everything that has happened to me this year, the biggest and most important milestone that I’ve passed is that I finally beat my depression. It took a lot of pain, but I started seeing a counselor in September, and he gave me the go ahead to stop meeting with him in November because we had dealt with the root issues that were causing it and I had a plan for how I’m going to continue to take care of my mental health. Since then, it hasn’t been a quick recovery, but in the last week I realized that there is a difference in my moods lately. I’m not sad anymore. I can have a bad day and not have it feel like everything is trying to drag me down. Nothing gets me down for long. I’m happy. That’s a huge difference from this time last year, when no matter what happened I was sad, depressed, and felt like my chest was trying to strangle me. I couldn’t have done it without God and the support I got from my family and friends. They made it easier to let go of things and let myself heal.
