No junkfood for a month.
For my Dutchy friends and family finding this online and having no idea what’s up with the English, just ask me what it’s about! So... A little bit about myself. I’m Noortje, call me Myra if you don’t know how to pronounce it... Or marshmallow, I don’t really care. I am 185 cm tall. I have been struggling with my diet for as long as I can remember. With that I mean, not so much my diet, more my relationship with food. And it is an UNHEALTHY relationship with food. Since I was about 16 I’ve been trying to get control. I’ve tried countless things, diets, other stuff, none of which work, because it’s an addiction. The past year and a half my weight has been getting out of control, to a point where moving gets harder and harder. My upperarms start to fold and crease, just like the rest of my body. Honestly, I’m losing my mobility and it’s terrifying. 
Well, because I’ve noticed this and because I know that being addicted to junkfood is my biggest problem, I have decided to challenge myself, I will not eat junkfood for the entirity of July. I made a calendar with squares, so I can cross off the days I’ve had. I have also put up a set of rules, which I will add onto if need be, because I know that I’ll work around things if I don’t put up specific rules. 
Since I’m starting tomorrow I decided to put this first post up today, so I can report back every day. During this month I will share pictures, thoughts and feelings, general thoughts and just everything... mostly to report how hard this whole process is going to be and to maybe find support in an online community or just within past posts. 
Anyway, below are the rules I have set for myself so far.. 
Rules:
1. No fried food. This includes foods that would normally go in a frier but are now from the oven. 
2. No soda on weekdays. This includes sparkling water.
3. For a snack, no more than 1 piece of smoked chicken a week.
4. No candy, no crisps, no cookies. No unhealthy substitutes that could be listed under these but don’t quite fit this description.
5. FOOD IS NOT A REWARDING SYSTEM!
6. No condiments with healthy foods.
7. No meat on weekdays.
8. No more than two readymeals a week.
9. No ordering food and no take away.
10. Smoothies or fruitjuice are restricted to one glass a day.
11. 2 portions of fruit a day (smoothie or fruitjuice counts as 1 portion).
12. Meals contain vegetables at least 5 times a week. Try to maintain this during festivals.
13. Keep track of what I eat in an app. (Also share the results of this on here every day.)
14. No milkshakes, no iced coffees or other sugary milky beverages like it.
15. One cup of milk a day. Drink from a cup, not from the carton.
16. No alcohol. 
17. Go to the gym at least 3 times a week if possible.
18. Substitute savory snacks with snack-a-jacks or puffed rice cakes with some type of spread.
19. No puffpastries of any kind. One croissant per day max. 
To say I am terrified to start would be an understatement. anyway, that would be it for now. You’ll see many updates through the days.

Zomg you guys..... I made my very first all farm organic dish!!!!! I decided to try Dill & Fennel Scalloped Potatoes!! For the mother of all things holy... they are the best potstoes I have EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! I never cooked from scratch in the past... or really cooked at all in general.
