Families of The Legend of Bolyra - Part 1

The Nerivaris/Lithrina/Likuri Family:

Princess Aerilaya Likuri (nee Lithrina): Aerilaya is a Bi, Polyam, Demiromantic, Demisexual, Magically Disabled 102 Snow Elf Former Slave, Thief, and the Snow Elves' missing Princess. Main Goals: Putting a stop to the Slave Trade, Reuniting with loved ones and her Clan, and putting a stop to her Great-Great Grandparents.

Prince Alosrin Likuri (nee Kuornos): Alosrin is a Straight, Polyam, Demiromantic, Demisexual 102 Shadow Elf Prince and Advisor to ally's Forest Elves', King Ornthalas. He's the husband of Aerilaya and Kimiko. His goals are the same as his wives - putting a stop to the Slave Trade and Droinyon and Ilythyrra. He knows of Fayaris and his antics, but he's more interested in putting a stop to Droinyon and Ilythyrra. As he and Aerilaya know he's nothing more than a pawn. They know he's irredeemable due to his actions and behaviors, but in the same breath they know he's being used and abused.

Kimiko Likuri (nee Rijio): Kimiko is a Bi, Polyam, 202 Zephyr Kitsune Woman who is introduced as an indentured servant/seamstress who's trying to reunite with her missing children after they were taken during an attack on her home in Huisong. She helps Aerilaya and Alosrin take down the Slave Trade.

Exiled Prince Fayaris Lithrina: Fayaris is a 107 Snow Elf Prince who is mentally ill. He's used and abused by Droinyon and Ilythyrra (his Great-Great Grandparents). He was brainwashed by them into thinking his family hates him due to being mentally ill. He's also aroace.

Droinyon and Ilythyrra Nerivaris: Droinyon and Ilythyrra are a Moon Elf couple, King Biryor's Great Grandparents, and Fayaris and Aerilaya's Great-Great Grandparents. Ages unknown. These two where granted immortality by two Ancient Corrupted Goddesses who's magic can still be felt even from their Tree Prison. This was intervened by Morrigan the Goddess of Death and Ophine the Goddess of Life and Fertility, but they could only partially stop it as the magic they were dealing with was far stronger than theirs.

Aerilaya Traith (nee Nerivaris) and Jiuyni Traith: Aerilaya Traith is a Moon Elf Woman who was a know warrior and hero of her time along with her Drow husband, Jiuyni Traith, and Vernmer friend/fellow Healer Warrior, Anureneth Lunarsage. She and her husband, along with their daughter and their son-in-law where murdered by her parents, Droinyon and Ilythyrra. While the Aerilaya and Jiuyni are dead, they do make appearances through storytelling, and in Soul form to assist the MCs.

King Biryor and Queen Merialeth (nee Rocan): King Biryor and Queen Merialeth are a Snow Elf couple, who currently rule over the Snow Elves' Clan. They are Fayaris and Aerilaya's parents and bio grandparents to Nura, Kede and Niraneris.

Nura Likuri (originally Lithrina): Nura is a 10 year old blind Zeniron Snow Elf. She's Aerilaya's daughter.

Kede and Niraneris Likuri: Kede and Niraneris are Alosrin and Aerilaya's twins.

Author's notes on last names: The norm on the Kaeyama is for newlyweds to do a combination of the first initials of their last names. But there are some exceptions to this rule. There are some who take their spouses last name. These reasons can vary, but for many it is to shed their past and move on from said old life (e.g. Aerilaya Nerivaris and Merialeth Rocan.)

Hey remember those four OCs I posted about a few months ago? Here’s some profiles!

The world they’re in is a fantasy world, they live on a continent that’s been protected by the Divine Dragons for thousands of years, and they (along with a bunch of other OCs) go to a school of performing arts!

Additional info:

She was a regular old doll that was enchanted by a powerful witch to be alive. She doesn’t know who this person was.

She considers herself to be nonbinary, because though her body was designed to be female, she doesn’t really feel attached towards being female herself.

Kimiko is one of the Divine Dragons, the protectors of the continent. However, she and her older brother are the two youngest dragons in the family, so they don’t really have any responsibilities. Her brother decided to enrol at the performing arts school, and she followed him.

She’s got a lot of. issues. Most of them stem from being the youngest and always being compared to others and also having a really strained relationship with her brother after a certain incident.

Dragons age much slower than most creatures, as they live for around 1,000 years on average. They perceive time differently as well. So, Kimiko has mentally been 16 years old for ten years. That sucks.

Aysu is a Naiad/river nymph! I don’t know a lot about Greek mythology so I’m using the term Naiad very loosely.

That shiny blue part of her hair? That’s water. It changes along with her emotions.

She keeps up a calm and collected facade, but when it breaks, she’s a very frantic and impulsive person.

If Melody seems way too perfect, there’s a reason for that!

She’s the only one who believes in a higher power… because she is that higher power.

I hadn't even thought of Kimiko being nonbinary but it fits so well!!

Sighing, Kimiko frowned and passed a hand through their now much shorter hair. Instead of the long, straight hair they had since childhood, they now had short, shaggy hair

Maybe not the best hairstyle, but Kimiko hadn't been going for that. Just anything to help them feel more comfortable in their skin

With their long hair gone, they didn't look like a girl as much as they had. Now, they could definitely see more of their father's features in their face

But the issue was, Kimiko hadn't asked their dad or Roman to take them to get their hair cut

Instead, they had asked a friend to go with them as it was almost all cut off

Nervously, Kimiko looked at themself in a small, portable mirror. Their dads shouldn't get too upset with them

Or at least, that's what they were hoping

Putting the mirror away, Kimiko finally entered their apartment building and took the elevator up to Roman's penthouse

Opening the door, Kimiko was greeted by the sound of the TV going. Fidgeting, Kimiko took a breath and closed the door

"Hey, da!" They called out. "I'm home!"

"Welcome back!" He called back. "Wanna watch with me?"

"Sure."

Straightening their back, Kimiko walked into the living room and smiled at how their dad was lounging on the couch

His small goatee had spots of grey in it, along with his roots in his much longer hair. He looked away from the TV and flashed Kimiko a smile

"Our team is winning so far."

Smiling back shyly, Kimiko walked up

"Good to hear it. They've been doing good this season."

With only a small amount of hesitation, Kimiko sat down and cuddled into their dad. Who brought a hand up to stroke their hair

"Any shorter and I would think you signed up for the army." He chuckled

Biting their lip, Kimiko glanced up at him

"Do you not like it?"

"It suits you." He smiled and then looked thoughtful. "But it'll be hard to braid. I remember that being annoying for me when I cut my hair short."

"Really?" Kimiko looked at him closely

"Mmhm. I always loved having my hair braided by Uncle Deck as a kid. But it was nice getting it cut, too. Made me feel more comfortable with who I was."

Kimiko blinked at him in surprise, but felt a smile nearly split their face in half

thankyouuu!! see i also had the same thought of switching the roles for kira and dax but then as i thought about it a little bit more i was like... nah. bc while its not that important to some ppl i believe having a nonbinary actor play the role of what we all hc as a trans/nb character is like leaps for representation and something i know all us trans homies would LOVE to see on screen. not only that, but just because the actor has a specific energy doesnt mean they dont have the range to play other roles! and thats the beauty of acting tbh

as for miles, i will allow one (1) white person in my recast and i think robert sheehan would make the cutest miles. ofc if im talking about miles i gotta talk about keiko bc theyre one of my fave het couples in all of trek and tbh i agree with kimiko glenn portraying the role. its also nice that shes japanese as keiko is as well and hollywood has a HUGE issue with exchanging asian and hispanics with the “oh its fine theyre asian/hispanic they can play any asian/hispanic role who cares about proper rep” we are NOT interchangeable. our cultures are all so unique and beautiful and its so saddening that hollywood just dont gaf. oh also robert sheehan and kimiko glenn would have the tol/smol dynamic and i think thats just so cute
