People keep talking about the whimpering horror podcast men and how distracting it can be but as a (maybe) asexual person, all I ever heard were men in pain. Other people find the whimpering weirdly erotic while I hear a guy in desperate need of a Hospital and a Therapist
yeah im still not fuckign over arthur slitting his own throat in a desperate attempt to save himself and john from the king and losing john to the king anyways because john offers himself up willingly on the condition that the king save arthur's life WHICH THE KING DOESN'T DO and so arthur's spat back out into the freezing cold, alone alone alone bleeding out desperately trying to patch his own wound because now he needs to survive to save john and what the fuck. what the fuck was all that. what the hell and fuck. both john and arthur clamoring for the opportunity to self sacrifice to protect each other. both losing because they cannot bear to see the other lost. arthur killing and then saving himself for the same entity within the span of a matter of minutes. head deafeningly silent for the first time in months. body already on the verge of breaking from the king's torture and the prison and the dreamlands and forced back into a reality he was severed from and now alone and girls fellas gays and theys you call it madness but i call it lov&%gbfjhgkgjkfjgk*%(÷djgkjfj#&%g
Alright kids it's that time of year, I need a good spooky AD. Or five. Here's what I have in mind, but recs outside these categories also much appreciated!
Ghosts! (Rural Haunted: The Barn, This House Will Devour You, Shadows at the Door, LifeAfter kind of)
A monster is stalking me from slightly off-screen (The White Vault, Down, Carrier)
Something's not right but the full extent of the f*cked-uppery is not visible until it's too late (Red Valley, The Magnus Archives, Subsister, Modes of Thought in Anterran Literature, Archive 81)
Found footage, I just think it's neat (The Black Tapes, Video Palace, What Happened in Skinner, Lovecraft Investigations, Blackwood)
I don't know what category to put I Am In Eskew into, unsettling and emotionally devastating prose?
