To be fair, I have to go with yandere Blue for any type of noncon situation - he has no qualms with simply taking what he wants. And that's a baby with you. He's not someone who starts out as completely obsessed with you, it's something that grows within him as you are together, as the years tick by and he starts to feel his age in his bones. He knows that time works against him; with him in his very last few fertile seasons and you, human as you are, bound to fade quicker than him. It's where a good bit of his condescending attitude comes from as well. In the ten years you've been together, he's seen you go from young adult to really growing into your own skin while he has almost remained the same. He wants to use the years he has with you as best as he can - and a family with you is his ultimate goal, his one desire. But trouble arises when you don't want that (just yet) - even though you promised him this a few years back, even though you know he won't be able to give you a clutch for much longer. It's a weird swirl of emotions for him. Rejection, sadness, desperation, pressure - anger, even. Blue turns moody for a while, tells you he needs some space after these news. And you let him be, thinking that he just needs to learn to accept that you can't have kids with right now - what you don't know is just what exactly is brewing in that thick head of his. Don't you know how much a family means to him? How he has waited to find the perfect mate all his life - and finally, you come along, all squishy and fragile, all human, and you deny him this after he has already been patient with you for so long? It's infuriating. He feels like you don't know what you're doing, feels like that perhaps he has to help you see what's good for you, for both of you, for your future. Really, he doesn't want to hurt you. He would never do that intentionally but he needs you to understand where he's coming from as well. So when he holds you a little tighter after you've made up again, when he kisses you with so much fervor and ignores how your giggled 'no's turn into serious demands for him to stop, when he works you open with his fingers until he knows you're well prepared - know that he's doing his best to make this as pleasant as he can. He'll kiss away every tear, will murmur praise at how well you're taking him - as you always do, his sweet thing, his little human - really, he acts like he always does, it's just you who's squirming to get away from his cock. Blue knows that giving you his eggs won't be an easy experience for you, especially when you're gasping and clenching around him as you are right now. That's why he tries to calm you down, caresses you with so much love and tenderness it makes his own heart heavy. He holds you down and smothers you in kisses as the first one slips in and you cry and cry and cry at the feeling of it working its way into your womb, begging him to stop this. But he's unrelenting, only full of condescending praise for you, promises of happiness together, gratitude for you for taking him so well. You'll never feel so hot, so destroyed, so betrayed yet so... revered ever again, you're sure. He almost worships you for every egg he makes you take, almost cries with you when it becomes too much. It's a mind-breaking mix of emotions, of helplessness and pain - never has he used his strength against you like this and you feel like you're drowning, yet he is the softest he's ever been.

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

Hurt, betrayal, disbelief, anger, annoyance - Blue feels a lot of things at once. But the only emotion that he will show is anger. Of course, he knows that what he is doing isn't sane, isn't consensual - he isn't delusional - but he thinks he is acting for both his and your own good when he takes you for himself. Blue is a lot older than you (which is only natural, considering that merfolk live longer than humans do and mature slower) and he sometimes gets a little cocky, a little condescending. To him, you're still so young and immature - especially when you tell him (fully aware that his last fertile seasons are approaching) that you want to put off having kids for another few years. He takes you out a sense of entitlement and hurt that you're suddenly 'breaking your promise', coupled with the 'I-know-best' attitude I mentioned above - so how does a boyfriend-turned-captor react when the love of his life is fighting back? It's definitely going to be a pile of negative emotions. When you dare to buck under his grip, to wiggle away from him or even try to hurt him - he'll go through a million thoughts in one second. But his pride is too grand to show you that it makes him sad, deep, deep down - the only thing that you will reap is acid, in hopes that it might deter you from acting out again. He can fix your relationship later, he thinks. Because you're more likely to see that he was right all along with a fat-cheeked baby on your arm. Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them? I'd say that depends on you - as in, what would be worse for you? He isn't violet, but he is going to force himself on you so you can carry his eggs. He isn't going to isolate you forever, but he will definitely keep you from anyone and anything until your babies are a little older. So, what is worse? To get violated by your partner of more than a decade or to be all on your own because he thinks it's what is best for you? Which can you stomach better? That one singular traumatic event or the grueling years of isolation and solitude? Both are harrowing in their own right, though the latter might not be defined as a 'single experience'.

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

Oh, Blue gets jealous pretty easily, even as his 'canon' self. Your worlds are so different - he can't follow you to land, only has you when you're at sea with him - and, as many men with big, great egos do, he has that little nagging voice in his head that tells him that you might just fall for another human because it's easier, more familiar. I didn't mention in 'at home', but you wear his bite on your neck for that very reason. He's trying to tell any potential suitor to back off. He's a biter in general, obsessed with leaving marks all over, to make it clear that you're taken. So when he gets jealous? It might just be the straw that breaks the camel's back. You tell him you need more time before having kids and he can smell some other man on you? That doesn't bode well for you. Trust me.

Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

Never physically, that's for sure. He will give you the cold shoulder, will ignore you, will get loud and desperate - but he won't ever hit you. Really, in his eyes he isn't even punishing you. He thinks that you're still in a relationship, even when he forced his eggs into you, thinks that he simply had to force you to see what's important. He thinks you're just arguing like couples do, that he's simply voicing his anger and frustrations. (The fact that there is now a considerable power balance between you is ignored by him.) So why would he hit you? He isn't like that, he loves you, don't you see?

last night i had a dream abt some big fight that happened in some town in like the 50s and a woman who survived managed to escape the gunfire and general mayhem

she made this big blue soft blanket and finished it exactly at noon and like. the blanket was gifted sentience by time itself?? and flew off to this huge nearby library

i dont remember what exactly happened but the blanket was scared of its creator and while it frequently hung around the library, it would always hide whenever she came in

a decade or so passed, it was in the library again and saw its creator again and continued to hide, but pretty much everyone in the library knew the blanket at this point and it brought immediate comfort to anyone it wrapped itself - or should i say herself, the blanket established an identity with fem pronouns - around and she was a beloved member of the local community, to the point there was a dedicated shelf to books authors wrote about her and a board where children's art of her was hung up with magnets. she found a camera at some point and began taking pictures of people, and whenever she did so the person she took a picture of immediately became happy

anyway. new comfort oc i think. i cannot remember the name she actually had in the dream so i'm just calling her Blue
