What are your favourite Elle headcanons?

elle is a lesbian.

she can’t cook to save her damn life. her mom really tried to teach her and none of it stuck. in college she was notorious for setting the smoke alarm off multiple times a month.

she dog-sat morgan’s dog clooney a couple of times. clooney loved her and morgan was convinced he liked her more than he did him.

she and reid were trivia night champions. they got banned from multiple places because of it.

she had - a thing with JJ. it happened a couple of times. they didn’t put a name to it. it never ended with words. elle didn’t say goodbye to any of them but hotch, and JJ was heartbroken.

she calls her mom every week; her mom worries about her constantly at the FBI, having lost her husband in the line of duty.

when elle leaves the BAU, she moves back in with her mother. she harboured a lot of resentment toward her old team for a long time afterward. it took a long time and a lot of therapy to make peace with it.

she starts volunteering at a women’s shelter in new york, and within a couple of years she’s running the place.

elle marries her wife in spring. she grows her hair out. they have a dog and a cat. elle still has nightmares now and again, but it’s not as bad as it was.

sometimes she finds herself picking up the phone, ready to dial a number she memorised back when she was so desperate to join the BAU, then catches herself. it’s been too long, she thinks. it wouldn’t matter now. they have to move on.
