Lev is Spitzel's adoptive brother. The two grew up together after his father adopted Spitzel, as Lev was struggling to get over the loss of his mother, who died of a serious illness when he was a little child. Despite all the hardships in his life, Lev has always tried to stand firm and appreciate every good moment in his life, which has always caused Spitzel to envy, as he cannot feel what human happiness is.

To try and take away his happiness, Spitzel devoured Lev's father years later, when Lev was 14. Obviously his father's death was somewhat mysterious and sudden, but that didn't make Lev give up, which made Spitzel even more upset and determined to destroy his brother's life. During his childhood, his father taught him self-defense (krav maga) , taxidermy and hunting. After his father's death, Lev inherited his taxidermy shop.

His personality is quite outgoing, he likes to practice fighting with the boys in his spare time and hunting together with Spitzel. His relationship with Spitzel is a bit distant, although they are always together and Lev cares a lot for Spitzel, thinking that his brother has just suffered a lot in life and distances himself from people as a way of dealing with his internal pain.

He doesn't suspect anything, until Judith starts showing him evidence and asks for his help, but he is still reluctant to believe that his dear brother is not human...
