Springmaker 2023

Time for KM! I haven't finished the last year's challenge (or even half done), but I have so many quick km illustrations that I love. Finally got a reason to draw my baroness - a half-elf druid Essa. When I made an oc for the game I honestly didn't know that (female) protagonist will be called baroness. Well... Pros: when someone on capital's square shouts 'Baroness-a!!' I can hear her name. That's a cool emersion, xD.

Funny story. When we made this challenge, we thought about our main platform, and it's vk. That is, a russian-speaking platform. And before choosing name, no one thought to check if tag used by someone else on other social media... OF COURSE there is people who make springs and find it important to share! With all respect to spring makers's craft. Lol. Here's a prompt list. This came out by accident in the game. I still don't understand “HOW?!”... But I liked it 🤔 Mirabel is my aasimar priestess Iomedae (?) from Mendev (???). Quite a grouchy person, but she's Neutral-Good. Melissa/Woljif (Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous):

And of course I won't forget my favorite horny (I mean horns ОК???) children 💖 They don't know each other, but I have to somehow get Mirabel and Melissa to meet for fun. Melissa will be back in the River Kingdoms for a while anyway. The rest of the games like Dragon Age (1,2,3 parts), Mass Effect (1,2,3), Baldur's Gate 3 and the like, I need to replay on a fresh head and think hard. I tagged EVERYONE. Because I don't know who had time to do it and who didn't!

I'm actually thinking about trying Pathfinder Kingmaker at some point in the future and attempting to romance Tristian. Given that he's practically the definition of a pretty boy, I bet he copped the dudebros usual brand of dickery when the game came out initially.

hmmm... I dunno, I don't think that's true. I have not seen hate towards him on reddit. He is straight, so maybe that's why. He can't bother the gamerbros while they are playing with a self-insert male character. I've even seen a few of them say they've created a female character to romance Tristian because they thought his story was interesting. Tristian is a very good aligned character and I would say the "bad boy" types are more often hated. He is also extremely innocent and awkward during the romance so that probably only makes male gamers like him. Lol

Anyway imo he just doesn't match the type of character you are talking about.

If you are interested in a romance which actually bothered the straight male gamer community, I recommend Octavia-Regongar poly romance. Those two are a joined deal. They are a bisexual couple and while it's possible to break them up, that doesn't have the best result. Ofc that bothered some because they wanted to romance Octavia alone and they wanted to suffer no consequences for separating the couple. Octavia is more popular compared to the straight female option, Valerie, who is a lawful neutral fighter. Meanwhile Octavia is a fun loving chaotic good rogue-wizard. Valerie not having a huge appeal is also the reason many chose to play with a female character and romanced Tristian. That way it's still a straight romance but with a character they liked more.

Personally I like both the Reg-Octavia romance and the Tristian romance as well. It's also possible to start romancing Reg-O and Tris as well and they will only ask you to choose later.

Although it didn't wind up finished until over a week after the date, happy belated Sunwrought Festival! This is something of a more joyful follow up to my 2022 art- something I'd wanted to do last year but didn't have the capacity for due to life circumstances. I hope everyone enjoyed their solstice!

this is a little random but I wanted to thank you for your documentation of the reg&octavia romance! I never got it to trigger 2+ years ago when I first played but things are going swimmingly now :3 i also personally just finished rogue trader before diving back into km - marazhais romance is fantastic imo, i hope you enjoy it!

I AM SO GLAD!! I love that romance, and it is absolutely one of my favorites :'D (for people wondering, this was the list of romance posts).

Ohhh I cannot wait to get to recruit Marazhai. I am already intrigued because the game is so gloomy, and I am playing an absolutely goody-two-shoes character with extremely personal corruptability (ex. Jae gets favors because my character likes her, and all my friends get extreme power because WHY NOT), so it just feels perfect to add Marazhai for more corruption!
