Potentially breaking news, as I haven't seen anyone posting about it yet, but 7.1 just very casually dropped confirmation of another Azem shard on whichever reflection the original Vana'diel is. I just went through the raid for the first time as Ardwin with a few FC friends, and there were a couple times during the quest that Prishe made vague references to a "she" that were... to say the least... extremely suspicious.

So in voice chat I was like "...y'all with masc characters. quick question. did you get different pronouns for this bit."

For a fragment of context, Pomni made a pretty major mistake and now no one but Jax will talk to her. Also Jax intentionally sometimes just doesn't use i. He thinks it's a waste of time in certain scenarios for some reason. So that wasn't a mistake lol

Is the long quiet still British and is shifty still American in sactm?

Here's a thing I like to think about these two. The Long Quiet represents stagnation. Which means she also encapsulates inertia, and by extension, momentum.

I'll just share these quick doodles while I'm at it.

So the Shifting Mound undergoes numerous small but constant changes that make little difference as a whole, yet they perpetually occur nonetheless. Meanwhile, the Long Quiet experiences long stretches where she's essentially the very same thing, but when she does get changed, she changes hard.

Where was I going with that? Absolutely nowhere.

Quiet is British. All her incarnations. The Victim spits "blimey" and "bloody hell" at you. The Dame generously offers you tea and scones. Generally, the Maiden at least acts and sounds like a nice British girl.

The Mound is where things get interesting. He is the entire world map.

Yeah, the Voice of the Huntsman sounds American enough, but the other voices are more...diverse. Superior (Tower) talks like an Asian parent after you bring home a B in math. Revelation (Nightmare) has several different accents layered atop each other in some strange, clinking cacophony. Let's not mention Stranger.

As for the Narrator, he's still British. But not for the reasons you may think.

have we considered that maybe amethyst has skulk inclusions but different amounts of inclusions so you can have amethyst with no skulk and amethyst full of skulk and therefore different clusters can serve different purposes/uses depending on how close to a skulk deposit it is

when I wrote that line, I meant for it to echo Soundwave's "Savor your defeat," which he uses twice- once with Megatronus and once with Whirl (this was purposefully done). in retrospect, no one could ever guess that the two phrases are related, but, uh, that's what my brain was doing there xD bonus: both lines have the same amount of syllables!

It split her, pieces falling away, and she clawed the robe from her body, discarding it in pieces. One foot came down, shattering the mask she'd worn so happily, and she lunged.

Skin split, shreds falling away. Skull split, pieces splattering across the cracked stones.

Without thought, she reached for the first thing that moved.

It squirmed.

She squeezed.

It made noise.

She squeezed harder.

Heat blazed around her as stone cracked and fell.

And when she consumed the warm, limp thing in her grasp, the pain faded into all-consuming hunger.

With the fact that I’m done with Echoes on my Warlock, it only means that I ain’t done with it on my Hunter and Titan.

I had done the Act 1 Finale for my Titan a week or so ago, but my Hunter has more investment or involvement in whatever’s happening in Echoes. And I had just done that Finale earlier.

My Hunter Shard is an Exo who has made himself a “son” to the gay grandpas. Saint accepts it agreeably, with a cheery laugh, while Osiris is a little confused by Shard’s decision of thinking of him and Saint as his dads.

So you can guess how Shard felt about it. About the doubts sown within Saint’s mind. About Osiris’ worry for his Pigeon. About how his fathers are dealing with this.
