Yes, both of them is strongly attached to GMMTV. They're too nice. They both have their own origin story with GMMTV. And I think that's what keeps them going, too. They are nice, friendly, helpful. But that doesn't mean you can treat them that way. Especially if it weren't for them and TayNew. They wouldn't be where they are. GMMTV owes a lot to them. I don't know about them, but I would have exploded long ago. I have a difficult personality and I have no patience. This is one of many reasons why she couldn't be a celebrity. But every person has his or her own stamina. And they too will eventually explode.

Don't they make the most money from OG?

I think offgun are honestly very patient, that's why they've managed to stay famous this whole time with almost no controversies & fights. not only they've had to deal with gmmtv, but also toxic fans bc they're not just actors, they're bl actors & bl is a very toxic genre. I think they're very attached to the gmmtv crew & the other actors, it's truly their family. that's why they still accept this treatment from gmmtv. rn offgun is not making gmmtv the most money bc they don't get as many events as the younger couples & rn geminifourth are the poster boys for gmmtv. the four couples who really went viral have been kristsingto, brightwin, ohmnanon & geminifourth, but offgun have carefully built their career & fanbase over almost 8 years now, so they are DEFINITELY amongst gmmtv's top earners bc most ships only stay together for 2 or 3 years lol whereas they have 8 years worth of contracts. more than that, offgun's fanbase is incredibly strong BECAUSE it's been around for so long. offgun are a pillar of the bl genre & I truly consider them bl royalty, so gmmtv treating them like this is the same as spitting in their face.

GMMTV 2024 PART 2 - BINGO

For the upcoming event on April 23rd (which I'm not going to be able to watch live 😭😭😭)

I was quite pleased with part 1 🌈🥰 And let's be real, I've got no time to make another bingo card for part 2 so here's what's left of my first card!

Things I would really like to see:

P'Jojo said somewhere that he’d like to do a domestic cutesy BL, please give the man what he wants. As a general rule, GMMTV should just let Jojo do whatever Jojo wants to do, period.

P’Aof once said in a interview that he would like to work with actors he hasn’t work with yet and that among gmmtv he hadn’t had the chance to work with Gun (or Krist) soooooooooo this could be the year is what I’m saying.

PLEASE give me something by the BMF production team (P'Waa Waasuthep, who also directed The Gifted) because Be My Favorite is definitely one of my favorite series, it was perfect.

Another more politically oriented drama (à la The Eclipse, Not Me)

Since remakes are in right now, you know what I would love a Thai take on? Color Rush! I really liked this KBL, it had SUCH an interesting premise but… *sigh* it was way too short to be impactful imo (the vibe of the show though omg). (P'Nuchy? P'Golf?)

❗️ FortPeat (Love in the Air) were announced as the leads for MeMindY's upcoming BL Love Sea. The drama will air in 2024.

❗️ BossNoeul (Love in the Air) were announced as the leads for MeMindY's upcoming BL The Boy Next World. The drama is considered a TharnType-spinoff surrounding Phugun & Cirrus and will air in 2024.

❗️ Dear Kitakyushu was announced as the first Thai-Japanese crossover BL movie. Mark Siwat and Uemura Souta will star as the leads; shooting has already begun. The film will air in 2024.

❗️ After rumors spread about an upcoming Thai adaption of the Korean BL Semantic Error, the author of the original novel came forward and negated the rumor.

❗️ The author of the adapted BL novels Triage and Manner Of Death announced that her novel Euthanasia will be adapted soon. It tells the story of a doctor who advocates euthanasia and becomes a suspect when mysterious deaths occur. One of the victims is the mother of an inspector who was battling cancer.

This announcement however caused fans associated with the OhmNanon ship to protest publicly in the form of multiple LED ads across Bangkok, as well as public letters of complaint, shitstorms on Twitter and collective harassments on social media towards Leng. Neither of the actors nor the company have released a statement about the incidents yet.

❗️ Korean model and actor Nam Yoon Su was announced as the lead actor in the upcoming KBL Love in the Big City. Further details are yet to be announced.

❗️The Korean BL Unintentional Love Story is getting a spinoff revolving around the characters HoTae and DongHee. Filming is set to begin soon.

❗️ At the streaming event for the final episode of Love in Translation, the mains Daou & Offroad announced they will star in a movie together in 2024.

❗️ After winning the Be On Cloud reality show The Hidden Character, actors Ta Nannakun and Copper Phuriwat were offered the lead roles in the original Be On Cloud series "Dead Friend Forever", which was written by Sammon. Ok. Hey. I have a question.

Watching Only Friends, I've been wondering why I haven't been able to connect with all three couples equally in an attempt to better solidify my understanding of what character interactions and dynamics lead me to percieve chemistry.

FirstKhao as SandRay have been stellar for me so far. They easily have the best chemistry, dynamic and interactions for me. They also seem to have gotten the most fleshing out from the writers in terms of building on them as individual characters with likes and dislikes and hobbies and past events, etc.

Their chemistry feels very natural to me, almost like improv. Their line readings and the very dialogue itself for them feels very natural, fluid, and dynamic to the situations they're in with respect to who they are as characters. It feels like their chemistry is a more...grounded style more akin to a ITSAY/Moonlight Chicken than a UWMA or a MSP.

This style of chemistry works really well for me personally in this context, which is why I feel so weird about ForceBook.

It feels like their romance is so....off. I have not felt as connected to them as characters, or as a pairing as TopMew. Their dialogue, interactions, and overall chemistry feels stilted, like it was out of Enchante or a more traditional Thai BL where the actors feel...stiffer.

There is also BostonNick, but that one needs more time from me.

Am I the only one who feels this way? Is this intentional from the writers? Or are ForceBook just not my cup of tea?

For me personally, frankly put, it has nothing to do with the various pairs and their chemistry as pairs, it's that Sand and Ray are the only likable characters and therefore I like seeing them together.

That is a good question. How did you feel about them in Boss & Babe?

I'm not sure on them myself. I can't decide if it's them or if it's the scripts and characters, since they never seem to have been given good ones or either. But it could be them.

I do think FirstKhao have a real easy natural chemistry together as well as both being very good actors.

Scrapes brain... so far as GMMTV's many pairs are concerned that means they are comparable to Ohm & Nanon but not many others...? I mean there are pairs with very good chemistry but often one half (or sometimes both) don't have the acting chops (yes, sigh, I am thinking of OffGun and JoongDunk, don't kill me). Also there are ones where both are great actors but the chemistry is shaky. (I am beginning to suspect PerthChimon may fall into this category - woe is me. I do hope they can prove me wrong.)

It's only March and it scares me that people are already freaking out about FK's partnership 🫠 I was thinking that the lack of promotions right now aren't a bad thing? Actually the opposite? They had the fanmeet in Brazil, they'll have another one in Rome, both of those sold out their tickets. They have one in Manila as well, they've been flying a lot. Isn't it good that they're at least having a bit of time to rest? Perhaps next year's promos will depend on how well the new series will do. But seeing all this comments makes me anxious 😰 I think FK are so loved and they have a good fanbase, they seem to still be very happy together and interested in doing more things as a duo? Or do you think not really?? Have I been delusional in thinking that them resting is good 😭😭😭😭 especially now that we know First is taking on a new degree, like you said.. 😕😕

I’m certainly not worried about it. I don’t like that they make them do those events anyway. The sponsorships I don’t mind so much because that’s money in FK’s pockets, but the fan meets every weekend has always seemed a bit much to me.

My surprise comes more from the fact that GMMTV decided not to milk them like a cash cow after Only Friends, but I’m grateful for it. And aside from the month where they were both literally on vacation, I feel like they’ve actually been pretty active—at least for them.

I think the problem stems from people having different ideas of how much access they should be allowed to have with their faves. This is especially evident over on Twitter, which is why I don’t spend too much time there. I remember during FK’s month-long break, a lot of the fans were literally throwing a hissy fit. There was a whole campaign where they were tagging GMMTV and accusing them of negligence for not booking FK at events and like…they were resting???!

I know Twitter skews younger and a lot of them probably don’t understand what having a job entails and I also understand that eastern fandoms have always allowed fans more access to actors than I’m used to as an American, but things like that still rub me the wrong way. These boys don’t get weekends or holidays off. Even when they’re not working, if they’re out in public, they always have to be in work-mode. Let them go off the grid when they want to.

Anyway, all that to say that I agree with you. My comment about them maybe taking on more individual roles next year had nothing to do with me questioning whether they wanted to keep working together or whether they would have the opportunities to do so. I just personally wouldn’t mind seeing them in other things, too. They are still two of the biggest actors at GMMTV and seem to be booked for events as often or even more often than bigger names like OffGun. They’re just quiet on social media because they’re introverts. I’ve seen nothing to suggest they want to stop working together. In fact, all evidence seems to suggest that they would be really sad to have to work with anyone else 😂
