Looking at the English translation of Tu Pirata Soy Yo by Chayanne (the song that Vico Ortiz said they would sing in a musical episode) and the lyrics???
“My lighthouse is your look and your love, my sun”
“My flag, your freedom/My treasure, to be able to love you”
“That they put the seven seas between you and me”
“Forever, love, we’ll sail/Completely United, never looking back”
What I loved most about the panel tonight was how comfortable they were with each other.
It seems to be effortless, teasing each other, speaking for each other, Vico rubbing Rhys' knee - you can tell they really enjoy each others company and it's more than reuniting with some co-workers. They are actually friends and happy to spend some time together 😭💜
Once I saw that Vico was dressed as Izzy, I knew EXACTLY what moment I wanted to recreate, and thankfully they were not only game, but seemed as enthusiastic as I was.
If you ever get the chance to have Vico grip the back of your neck and stare intensely into your eyes, it's a 10/10 experience, highly recommend.
I was finally editing pics I saved of eccc and noticed this one of Jim posing has a timer next to it. I remember someone said twitter was bitchy saying Rhys was rude for trying to rush it along. Whelp girlies there it is, he probably was trying to keep it on time.
Reminder to everyone that Rhys, Samba, and Vico are currently doing a panel at ECCC and it's currently being live-streamed at thepopverse (.com) and it will be available until march 18th. Go watch it!!!!
Okay we're gonna try this again, because the first time tumblr didn't play nice.
I went to the Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle two weekends ago, and it was amazing! I got to get a picture with three people in the cast of Our Flag Means Death (Stede, Jim, and Roach) and I was on one knee like I was proposing to Rhys Darby. I also got a picture with the stunt doubles for the Mandalorian himself, while in my Mando cosplay! Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder were kind enough to do the Charlie's Angels pose with me, and they were asking how I made my costume! Everyone was so nice!
I was able to buy posters and prints and stickers and a BADASS see-through acrylic art board of Mando. It's a little difficult to describe, but I'll eventually include a picture.
Speaking of, I think the reason my original post didn't go over well may have been because I included a bunch of pictures. So I hope to go back and reblog this with a few pictures each time to circumvent this problem.
