Everyone who I have talked to has been so nice and wecoming!! And I haven’t even had this blog for very long at all really. I WANT TO GIVE A BIG THANK YOU TO SHORP FOR TALKING TO ME, and basically inspiring me to want to jump into the Naruto Fandom because of their Kankuro which is amazing and I love him!!

I also want to give a pretty big thank you to the muns of @of-smoke-and-deer, @sabakv, @shadcwd, @karukv, @inumbratte, @oneesands, @variantia, @blackgreed, @vestiallus, @galgenballade, @lavafed and @kageheir !

They’ve either answered any questions I had, said something nice, and/or interacted with me a bit thus far (and I have some replies/asks for some of them, at least at this point)!

I also just want to thank EVERYONE SO MUCH WHO’S BEEN INTERESTED IN THIS SOFT SAND BOY (and my mean my followers as well as those, of course!) I’m surprised that I’ve taken to him as much as I have, but I think part of that reason is because I’ve been doodling him, and he makes me happy basically!!

I have a lot of thoughts and I want to interact with everyone I’m mutuals with (once more, non mutuals can still come into my inbox to send questions!) I’m not sure what else I want to say here so I’ll just end it here thanks!!! Sorry if I missed anyone orz.

“Shit,” he hisses after realizing his bowl of cereal was overflowing, and pulls the half gallon of milk back to cap it. The apartment was on a shortage of coffee for once, per request of Sasuke’s doctor (who clearly didn’t understand his lifestyle if she was requesting he take a few days off of caffeine) and he doesn’t know how he’s manages to stay awake so far. Apparently he was failing that challenge this morning, dozing off while trying to get his breakfast together. Rubbing one of his eyes, he groans, reaching to grab a clean rag to wipe off the excess milk on the table. “When did you even come in, again?” He doesn’t even recall opening the door, or the past five minutes of them sitting together and chatting, god he really was having withdrawals if it was this bad.

    There Shikamaru was yet again, tired, weary, and slumped against a tree doing his ordinary business. It was typical for her to stumble across him smoking a cigarette and taking a break from his mundane duties. With it being so early in the morning though, she’d figure he would still be asleep if anything.

    “---Shikamaru!” She’d yell out from afar, free hand waving in the air in a gesture to say hello. “What are you doing awake so early this morning? If anything I figured you would still be in bed.” An amiable smile curved her lips, footing coming into close proximity with her friend before she would continue her speech. 

              “It’s highly unlikely to see you awake at this time, if I can be honest.”

“Geez... who knew our mission would have us posing as a married couple. Oh well, whatever gets us intel on the feudal lord’s enemies.”

For each “⭐️” I get, I’ll write a headcanon about our muses.

     ⭐️: Growing used to Shikamaru’s unhealthy habit of smoking, during times of his stress Sakura would bring it upon herself to buy him a pack of his favorite brand cigarettes. Although she hated seeing him use this addiction merely in an effort to calm him from the anxieties plaguing his mind, she knew this was his only outlet in order to feel at ease again. If she felt he didn’t need any, however, she’d simply take them away from him without him knowing. Essentially when he has an ample amount of duties to complete, he sometimes would leave it on the Hokage’s desk – making it more than easy for Sakura to get her hands on, it was like taking candy from a baby – an attempt to at least try letting him break free of this habit.

      ⭐️: The friendship between Shikamaru and Sakura have seemed to flourish since they both grew – making the bond formed seeming everlasting. They shared memories, secrets, even the problems that were haunting their minds from past occurrences. It wasn’t often when he did such a thing, but there was only one time where after completing their workload, did he bring her to a special place of his. Secluded and known only by him, this was a place that was a gateway to ease the tension clouding his mind. Sometimes when the deer were out he’d even grab some food for them out of his pockets. Obvious to Sakura, the deer and beauty within this particular area had a sense of comfort in him at the one and only place he found solace in during times of stress. He told Sakura he preferred coming here alone, so for him to bring someone like her along was something she was grateful for. In her eyes, this meant that he trusted her.

     ⭐️: Truth be told, when Temari and Shikamaru were spending time together – it was none other than Sakura who would offer her friend advice. Advice on becoming a gentleman (though his father clearly displayed this to him, she figured advice on that of a woman’s perspective would be different), tips on the perfect and most ideal date, even bringing something like flowers she would hint for him to do. It was surprising to see this soft side emerge from him, but she couldn’t deny it was entirely too cute with how lovestruck he was over his now-wife, Temari. She noticed whenever he came to Sakura on things regarding love and dating, he was pretty shy being so open with such a thing. It was mainly with the help of Ino and Sakura, did he eventually come to terms on how to woo his crush over. Since women never were something he wanted to deal with in the past, he made it clear that he needed help with it once he grew older.
