#often i feel kinda weird about members who i feel like are very similar to me. like im so invested in paying attention to their faces

whenever there’s an idol who i feel like i relate to VERY strongly, like i feel like they have a very similar personality to me and they react to situations and conversations in much the same sort of way that i would... they often end up leaving their groups :(

the two examples that come to mind immediately are Jiyoon from Weeekly and Jieun from Purple Kiss. apparently Jinni from NMIXX also has a similar mbti. i dont really care that much about mbti, i dont think it’s a perfect scientific thing or anything, but i do think it sort of generally indicates that people who get similar results to me have similar personalities to me, even if you could answer two different mbti tests on the same day and get two different results. anyway, whenever i feel like there’s an idol who i can just look into their eyes and see aspects of myself... i’m always kinda bracing myself for the news of them leaving their groups for mental health reasons. because damn man.... i get it. the kpop industry would be AWFUL for your mental health, especially if you’re already starting out with it being bad. i’m sad those members left their groups, but at the same time, i can’t blame them. they probably stayed longer than i would have, because they’re stronger than i am. 

also for what it’s worth, i dont know why Jinni left. im not sure anyone’s really stated anything about it and i’m not trying to speculate, and tbh i only really got more into learning about the NMIXX members during Love Me Like This, so i don’t know a lot about her. i’m just saying that recently i found out she was similar to me and i was like “oh. damn. yeah. that’ll happen.”

anyway. Mashiro from Kep1er is also someone i feel like i relate to super strongly, but i dont think there are any signs that she’s not doing well or anything. i just have an urge to be very protective of her. idk. anyway

secrets (how open is she with you)- it depends kinda? i would really say haerin is a closed off person but like expressing emotions comes a bit hard to her, saying stuff about her (especially sensitive things) is a little tough

time (how long did it take her to confess)- somewhere between 2 weeks and 2 years (haerin was having her moment ok.)

upset (what’s her reaction when you’re upset)- similar to injuries actually, haerin needs to process your behaviours. let’s be honest, you don’t get mad at her, so it’s not that bad even if she’s not sure how to react

visibility (is she afraid of the public opinion)- haerin isn’t really keen on coming out, mostly because she’s afraid of what the public would do to her group and you

warrior (how often do you fight)- is silent treatment considered fighting? because that’s the most you do tbh haerin isn’t the type to raise her voice at you

Hello! I have a weird relationship to psychosis and I'm not sure if you might have any insight. I think I've had psychotic experiences my whole life, but the experiences I've had don't seem to fit into any named framework I can find (schizospec, etc.). I call it spicy anxiety, because on top of my existing anxiety I also am very prone to fairly brief (hours to days) bizarre delusions with insight. As a kid that would mean reading a fantasy book and being convinced that I had whatever magic powers I read about. As an adult it's more like... What if the car behind me in traffic is a robot-dragon trying to eat me?!?! And I can tell this is Not A Thing, logically, but I also can't stop panicking about it. I tend to be pretty paranoid in general, even when I'm not actively psychotic. Sometimes it's sorta fun, just like Imagination+, now with maybe more suspension of disbelief than is good for me! I have no negative symptoms, only some cognitive symptoms and those are better explained by my AuDHD than anything, I think. I don't think I'm schizospec; my delusions are too brief even for something like Brief Psychotic Disorder, and I think too bizarre for something like Delusional Disorder. I don't care that much about diagnosis, nor am I seeking a diagnosis, but I do want... I guess reassurance that other people experience this in similar ways? And language to describe what I experience? I also know that I have a family history of this type of mental illness (completely untreated) that seems to get worse with age, and if my symptoms ever become debilitating enough that I do need help...I deeply deeply distrust the carceral nature of the psychiatric institution, and I want to have knowledge of my own going in. To be clear: I am not asking you to diagnose me. I am asking if you (or your followers) have ever heard of experiences like this. Thanks for your time, either way!

So the "spicy anxiety" is something that I relate to a lot. I call it "psychosis flavored anxiety", personally. For me it's obviously not my only symptom, but it's something that is a fundamental part of me and also my own way of being schizo spec.

I used to think of this as just anxiety. I remember my gf's face when I first got into specific about the types of things I'm anxious about. They got kinda quiet and was like "honey are you sure that's anxiety" 😂 .... And it IS a type of anxiety, right, because it's a what-if scenario that scares you, rather than something you're convinced of, like a delusion. But it's definitely psychosis-flavored.

More clinical terms could be paranoid ideation, magical thinking and quasipsychosis, depending on your mileage.

I'm also someone who, aside from direct symptoms of schizophrenia, also just has an overactive imagination. Imagination+ is one way to describe it! My brain will come up with all kinds of bizarre and paranoid thoughts all the time. And depending on how well I'm doing I can dismiss it, I can be anxious about, or I can have a breakdown and feel temporarily convinced of it. There's often a grey area where I do act to protect myself from perceived threat, but I also acknowledge that it's an unlikely threat. But "just in case"..

Tendency towards psychosis or adjacent experiences does run in families, so having family members with psychosis means you are more likely to be having this type of experience - and it doesn't have to mean, that you're going to go on to develop fullblown psychosis.

And a SciComm question: do you have any advice for someone who wants to grow their career in SciComm? It’s my dream career but it seems like opportunities are few and far between.

Is it “better” to pursue a degree in a specific science, or to focus more on the education/teaching side of things?

(although a huge shoutout to you and the other SciComm folks sharing your passions! I did manage to get a part-time internship and job at my local zoo in their education department, and I only had the courage to pursue those opportunities thanks to people like you! Didn’t think I’d get this far, and now I can’t wait to take it even farther; I’ve just got to figure out how to get there first!)

Do ceph’s ever lose their suckers, and if so are they able to grow new ones? I'm sure they do! The regeneration of some species has been studied but not all of them so there's likely some species that are a little better at it than others (for example, it's probably something a predator that attacks very strong fast animals needs than an animal that primarily eats bivalves).

Do you have any advice for someone who wants to grow their career in SciComm? The trouble with this is that my job is very very weird, and doesn't exist in the kind of structure where you apply for a job →you get the job → you have a stable job. It's more similar to the safety and job structure of being an artist, but with a nonprofit thrown into the mix. It's... complicated! And not necessarily stable! All that to say, how I got here is not going to work for everyone and I honestly sometimes cant believe it worked/works for me at all. It might stop working any second.

But whatever here's what I did. I practiced science communication on social media and locally in Connecticut (where I was at the time). I tried to consume a lot of science communication and consider what was working in those pieces, and thought about what I enjoyed doing within that whole huge ecosystem. There's one zillion ways to do science communication, and different approaches will hit different audiences. It's totally critical for a lot of different people to be doing science communication in a way that feels genuine to them, in their own voices, with whatever methods they like doing the most so that as a collective, we hit the broadest patch of people. No one science communication technique is perfect for every "audience" member, so the diversity of approaches is so so important. I don't think that gets said enough. So explore! See what you like, see what you get joy out of doing, see how people react to it. Producing science communication as you're practicing will build out a portfolio of work that you can point to when you graduate.

There are a lot of kinds of science communication jobs. There's the freelance/DIY approach like having a podcast like Alie Ward, or founding a nonprofit (this is very hard and i don't recommend doing this lol), or having a successful youtube channel/social media situation like Hank Green or doing TV like Emily Calandrelli/Bill Nye/Phil Torres. Then there's working for an existing science education nonprofit like Biobus or Science Friday or working for institutions like museums/zoos/aquaria, etc. Theres also a whole field in the university system called "extension" where you're taking the work happening at the university and connecting the surrounding population with that work. Each of those jobs, particularly the older institution-based ones have their own structures and will come with different advice on how to get into those jobs. I'm not really sure about those. Having that science communication portfolio will likely help for all of them though!

As far as what to do for school... I think the true but kinda complicated answer is that often what we do for school isn't directly related to what we end up doing. The skills we build while we're in school, and the connections we make are really what determines where we end up and what we end up doing. So... really take seriously the stuff you're doing that nobody's telling you to do. That's as important as class... and honestly, in my personal experience, it's way more important than what you do in class.

Magical Girl Au Explanation Thinggy..

Before everyone chose to be a magical girl, they were once all human untill meeting Caine. Caine is some magical being along his buddy Bubble who he made. Caine has good intentions but due to his lack of understanding human emotions, does intentions back fired. He seen how humans have suffered, either by pain,depression,ect. He wanted to help the humans by either turning their lives more fun n stuff. I haven't thought on what he does but the idea was there are the Abstractions and creatures (example like the gloinks) that wreck people's lives but nobody can see them. As they live in this sorta circus themed world thats you can only kinda can get there without magiccccc....n stufffffffff. Caine decided to gather people who were willing to destroy those monsters, again this au is going through construction so I haven't figured out for some parts like why Caines intentions backfired so if yall wanna give out ideas I'd be happy to hear em. Back to what I was saying, Caine manage to get a few members for his group or whatever u wanna call it. Alot on who he gathered got abstracted ( alot of this is inspired by Puella Magi Madoka Magica so alot of it will be similar to that anime) so the previous members are now Abstractions (like previous magical girls turn into witches) All of the members were once human, but apon meeting Caine. Caine came to the conclusion that the human body was just to weak for them to fight so he came with a solution. By using his power, he turned their human body to these magical forms, essential what they are in the digital circus. But these body aren't human at all, they don't have organs or look anywhere near human like that so that strikes another problem. Since they can live in the human world anymore, Caine decided to create a new home for them, The Digital Circus. All of the members were devastated to learn that their lives were taken away and now having to live in some circus well just like the show... they abstracted. I might go for an idea that Caine erases all of their old memory to help with their sadness but again with it backfiring with them going insane n stuff. Again feel free to leave out ideas.

So now we begin with our story starting with Pomni. Pomni or whatever her human name would be (Pammy? Pamantha? Poppy?) She's is a depressed,overworked, and very much hates her job, office worker. Working for a company ( maybe for a game uh again not sure) who desperately wants to change herself, to prove the people around her that she can do something, that she can make a change, to have a purpose. That goal could spark the interest of Caine, so one day appearing in front of her to make a deal. Maybe possibly one of the monsters attack her. Either by accidentally going to the magic world thingy on mistake ( she maybe noticed a weird group of them going to this portal, or by just peer dumb and bad luck...she would have lots of bad luck) Possibly Caine saves her or the group instead. Which ever I go for Caine strikes a deal with her and she goes along with it because of the desperation to be something. And once she actually learns the horror of this new body and new home, she regrets it...as all the others during there first times. Now me meet the group, starting with the oldest

Kinger, the one who's been apart of the group the longest and most wisest. He's somehow been able to stay somewhat same but due to so much time dealing with all the craziness and losing someone dear to him. The magical girl gig has kinda broken him away so especially he's the plan/ smart guy in the group. Telling information for the group for missions and strategies.

Then Ragatha who's the second oldest member. She is essentially the mom friend, who often aids her friends during battles and keeping check of anyone (especially after someone abstracts) She tries to put on a happy face and cheerfully personality to keep her sanity, as it's her way to deal with her forever situation.

Jax is the third, he's the playful and prankster as always. Often teasing and annoying his teammates whenever he has the chance to. Jax often doesn't wait to attack during missions and ignores everyone's warning, unless Caine gets him to sit down and listen. But all of the sass and humor is his way to cope with the situation.

Gangle is the fourth member of the group, she's quite soft spoken and scared. As she still struggles a bit of her situation, and relys on her mask to deal with her emotions. Although she isn't weak, she can find herself to cower over some missions if they get to much. Mostly when she doesn't have her happy mask on, and that mask helps her with confidence. Although her emotions help her boost her strength if in very strong emotions.Her coping is practically relying on her masks to keep her happy,although a certain someone keeps breaking them.

Zooble is the fifth and came not long after Gangle. They are a distant and "idgaf" type of person, often trying to not get close with anyone and to just get over with it. Zooble sorta chills there untill they go to another mission, and their distancing is their way of coping. Not wanting to make connections to people in fear of losing them, just over all wanting to do the missions and nothing else.

The basic plot of it is Pomni and everyone else going to mission while they slowly start to find out more and more about everything to who they are, Caine and his secrets,and the universe itself. Anyways that's what I'm going to leave off, have a sketch of Pomni and Ragatha designs. I do plan on finnish it aswell with everyone's else but im tired and I wanna go to bed. Maybe it’s just wishful thinking but is it weird I kinda feel a growing albeit likely delusional hope that maybe Wolf Ent is wanting to give Tracy/Hailey her own show?

When she joined Chicago PD the ratings went UP. Her Hailey-centric episodes are often the best performing. She has a great history already with NBC, having first starred on Revolution and now a long, successful run in the Chicago franchise.

But hear me out further...

A lot of times a network will do what’s called a backdoor pilot where they dedicate an episode of a series to what a potential new spinoff show might feel like and be about. So —

Having an ep where Voight was gone (when has that ever happened lately?) and she ran point, and she was not only team leader but taking on a very Voight-like role of being there for and covering for and helping out a new (to be) member of the team… felt like an interesting and bizarrely random situation that had little shades of backdoor pilot-isms.

Remember, pre-strike we already saw her take off once to be on that FBI show in a crossover on an entirely different network (CBS) at a time when Hailey was majorly dealing with personal issues also. And the arc was supposed to last longer, and I have to wonder if maybe they were planning on her joining that show or getting her own show at that point but then the strike derailed plans and they couldn’t wrap up her story with Jay the way they possibly wanted to so then everything sort of shifted and fell apart, but they still plan on giving Tracy her own series now?

I mean, tonight Hank said Detroit was “Just another violent city.” And last week her saying her brothers were smart enough to get outta Chicago. And we see Tracy got a haircut IRL immediately after wrapping — was it just for a fresh start personally THAT quick? Or for a fresh look for a fresh show to be announced, where HAILEY has a fresh start elsewhere, that they’re about to start filming the pilot for ASAP…

I’m wondering if they’re writing off Hailey in a way where she gets an offer to head up an intelligence team elsewhere, like Detroit. I could see Hank even saying “Listen, I got a call from somebody I was working with in Detroit and they need somebody new to head up an intelligence (or homicide?) team. They asked if I knew anybody.” And since she needs a fresh start because too many demons in Chicago since she was a child… she takes it.

Look, all I know is the entire Chicago franchise is sorta running its course. Most of the shows are losing characters that have been around forever. Ratings have steadily declined overall. And they may be considering wrapping up the Chicago franchise within the next couple years.

But with companies like Wolf Ent and networks like NBC, they rarely wrap up one thing without trying to start something similar, but new.

Are they considering a new Detroit (or other city) based series, and want her to take the reigns? And that’s why a happy ending with Jay simply couldn’t happen, why she randomly trained so hard with Dante recently to be even more of a brawler badass, and why she got an episode last week showing her leading a team and being a mentor to another officer? And having seeds planted about leaving Chicago? And suddenly mentioning her having brothers elsewhere?

Will it just be like other characters before her and she leaves with this anticlimactic arc and that’s it, and Tracy just moves on to entirely new things?

OR — could we possibly get news soon of a new series they’re launching called Detroit PD or Intelligence: Detroit. Etc. Then of course eventually followed by a medical and or other companion series or two that slowly replaces the Chicago franchise within the next few years?

Just thinking out loud.

Could be nuts. Could be nothing. Could simply be that we say goodbye to Hailey forever soon.

But it’s just such a ripe character who still has a long way to go as far as healing from her childhood wounds that I don’t see them being able to wrap up in a couple of episodes left, and Wolf Ent and NBC seems to love her. And most actors don’t leave a steady, well-paying, familiar gig and character they love so suddenly — especially in the current television/Hollywood climate. And again that whole FBI crossover cut short pre-strike felt… odd. Like they were up to something, but ultimately couldn’t go through with it because of the strike situation delaying everything.

I mean, if she was simply leaving the show because Jay left, then they probably would’ve gone ahead and given them their happy ending. But they didn’t. Instead, they did the complete opposite and made it to where she could never get back together with him. Why do that if she was just gonna follow him off the show? Unless they needed her to be free and single for her new series to start fresh. And lastly, with her final episode being entitled “More” it makes me think she’ll take the new gig and leave Chicago to do more, be more, have more. “More” could literally be reflective of her desire for more, and more to come…

So, yeah. Something feels like it could potentially be up. And maybe we’re not seeing the last of Hailey Upton. Maybe we’re just seeing the last of Hailey in Chicago, and she’s about to go have her own show and her own team built around her, and work through her issues in a new city with new arcs and new relationships… which would be very much earned and deserved and AWESOME.

me and other readers have seen similar things in all/most ateez members for a few months now, their present time is just not what they expected, planned or hoped for as teenagers (when they started). I think this is a common thing, it doesn't seem like something to intensely worry about, it seems like usual young adult crisis, like most of us are having (same feelings and thoughts, just a different reality). I know he doesn't have a religion but he may be relying a lot on some sort of spiritual thing, may even be someone who is spiritual. san is very introspective, trying to figure out who he is, what he does and doesn't like, what fits into his life, but it's difficult because he's still so young, his life is planned out for him, he feels like he doesn't have much control of his own choices and personality. ateez are naturally introspective and soulful people but they don't have much restful or alone time to really pick their brains, it's like procrastinating healing and soul searching that we all go through at their ages. he has suffered big disappointment and is trying to grow from it, but he has no option but to stay grounded and stuck in a mediocre reality. like mingi has said, he's looking for small happiness in daily life, to not think "I'll be happy once I have this". ateez is in a limbo state currently, they're not small or beginner celebrities but they're also not big or experienced enough to control their own careers/lives. it's a weird stage but he's taking his time with it, san is very smart and he's got people that understand him by his side, helping him, "saving" him. he's learning how everything and everyone is interconnected, how small details and choices can have a lot of power, learning when to accept and offer help, etc etc.

Ummm this is kinda tough. I feel like I don’t have a huge stake in this discussion tbh. I do think I have tendencies people often contribute to their own autism but because I have never gotten any form of diagnosis to confirm or deny this, I feel a bit unqualified to pass judgement on anyone. I wouldn’t say this myself for the reasons I just mentioned, but I feel like it’s very similar to the type of internet speak where people say a cishet man is a trans man or a lesbian. Would people offline call any of that weird? Yes probably, but it mainly reads as kidding around to me when people put it in the tags of posts. I guess I’m just not really bothered by it. If people are writing essays about it, I haven’t seen it.

Zubes- very complicated. y'know how i said she really hates zubin. well she kinda doesn't. she's more upset at her situation and that zubes got her stuck there in the first place, than at him for being the way he is. candi doesn't really talk if he's in the room, but will say a few things. she's very vocal about her frustration and dislike of the situation. she just needs a target for her frustration and it happened to be zubes. she doesn't actually hate him deep down

Andy- neutral. doesn't really mind him, but doesn't know why he likes zubin so much. she has to ask him for most things, since he's the only one who can get them. sometimes, if he bites candi, she freaks out but now she doesn't rlly mind since it happens a fair bit. (also whats with the goop coming off of him in all of that art he's in? i just wanna know what it is)

Rob- concern and confusion, but also friends. really worried and confused as to why he's always crying, but understands it may be something she can't influence or control. she's a pretty good therapist when she wants to be, and just kinda makes sure rob isn't going too badly. she'll talk to him a fair bit since he always wants to talk to joe, and gets denied every time.

Ross- doesn't really know him. ross is by himself, playing the drums most of the time, so candi doesn't really see him all that often. he was her favourite band member before they went all obsessive over MK+A, so is a bit annoyed she doesn't see him more, but she keeps it to herself and understands he might not want to talk to her or the others.

Bora- friends. candi thinks bora is cool. they talk a lot about random stuff they like. idk why but i think bora is good at cooking stuff, so candi might take lessons from him sometimes. she often babysits some of his rats if he can't carry them around or is busy preforming.

Steve- Pretty good friends. candi and steve get along really well, like casey and steve do, since candi's also on the quiet side, and is pretty accommodating for steve's needs. she thinks he's basically just a house cat, but that it's very entertaining. sometimes he'll just be sitting somewhere weird and candi wont mind. she's prolly trying to learn sign language or something similar to more easily communicate with him. she probably vents to him a lot bur feels bad for it

casey- probably the most healthy relationship in the au. casey and candi are both in the same boat, struggling with a lot of the same stuff. the two spend a lot of time chatting, doing random stuff, or being eachother's therapists. candi's got a lot of pent up frustration and sadness, and they only feel comfortable sharing it with casey and steve. they probably have a kindof family dynamic, like cousins or older brother/younger sister relationship since there'd be an age gap. candi is most like their pre-death self around casey.

Ryan- mysterious. seen him like, twice, maybe. thinks he's chill though, but gets scared when he just shows up like "hey lmao wanna check out this letter i got?" all of a sudden

candi is biromantic/ace bcz why not. if u gave her a hug she'd be really thankful, the poor girl needs therapy asap. she probably likes hugs a lot, but if someone just suddenly hugged her she'd just be like "wtf get away from me" before realising "damn i rlly needed this" and crying a lot. her hugs are super comforting, but a bit short. she hates sudden loud noises, like slamming doors or sirens, in fact she just hates anything happening without warning. she's super jumpy and gets anxious a lot, and copes by fiddling with whatever she has on her, or just by fiddling with her hoodie. her right eye is a little blurry from the scar over it, but it's not enough to need contacts/glasses. Genuinely not understanding the obsession with the daycare attendant.

I don't see the value of them, I do not see what's so special at all. I understand people may have their own personal reasons, like having a playmate or someone to take care of them they like to imagine and enjoy due to a lack of having that kind of attention presently or in the past (not saying this is the case for all) though besides this I do not see what is so appealing about their characters. It's likely a personal thing, they look cool, but they're not really utilized in Security Breach, they also don't really fit in with the Glam rock vibe to me -though, SB isn't even actually Glam rock anyways, so I suppose who cares at that point. But if you're going for that era, a wild jester-like character isn't exactly the right place or time to fit in with it. I also personally would not be able to handle Sun at all from a personal perspective since I hate too much energy or movement, and loud noise. I also do not know how Moon would be when kind, as they are not really meant to be a character you see often since they appear during naptime?? Otherwise, we're never shown a kind Moon in the game, so I don't know the behavior and there's zero depth to him in SB personality wise to even make an assumption. He simply chases you and tries to kill you. I suppose they've got a grip on some of the fandom with the feeling of acceptance. I have a grip on my hair trying not to go wild from the glitter glue kids* as I call them flooding every FNAF based space I'm in, it's tamed, but good lord I don't believe in save me now. Many of them have similar vibes and ideas to that of the 2018 fnaf gacha kid (sorry I was one of them, I look back in fear, some weird kind of nostalgia, and extreme amusement) with the way they may speak; often with roleplaying tones- verbally saying what they're implying to be doing ("Eats glitter glue"), things like "ye", the whole "uwu" plethora, and various other absolutely terrifying things that i know I used to do. I know they'll probably grow past this point, it's just part of the internet era honestly, but it kinda scares me. I was not ready for the bright purple william afton, "Clara" afton, mennard type era of kids to appear in their own way with SB. Props to these kids for having fun, but good god, sometimes you guys drive me insane. Cringe culture is over, but that does NOT mean I won't scrunch my nose up at you when you do.... this shit. One: robbie is fucking hilarious. Hes 15 deeply deeply insecure and beefing with a Twelve yearold. Like you won. You got wendy to say yes to a date theres negative reason to challenge a child to a fight. Hilarious cant wait for him to lay awake at night and cringe at that memory. especially bc dipper giving her a black eye was his wingmanning! Funny dude cant wait to see what happens with his disaster of an ass. (also during the time travel ep i was like damn robbie can suck a little but hes not that bad. Timing was strange but him asking out wendy was kinda sweet. Then fight fighters happened lol. Man is so wrapped up in making a child feel bad he ignored his gf. Terrible give me five more.)

Two: holy shit the wax figure thing mustve been so upsetting for grunkle stan. Like he shrieked upon seeing it! He crawled away backwards. I might be reading to far into that but he seemed scared (?). I love how quick he recovered for mabels sake tho their dynamic is so sweet. Shes a little weird girls and hes like taking her under his wing. the definition of dad who didnt want a pet. I love how they understand each other.

Did he wonder, even for a moment, if it was his dead/missing brother??? Like i have brothers if we still looked alike enough to be twin levels of similar and someone made a statue of me id also scream. Also like his investment in having the "murder" solved feels so weird knowing he has a mysterious disapeared twin. his investment feels heavier. Like hes projecting his grief.

Does watching Mabel and Dipper interact happily make him miss other stan? also how do other family members feel about this diapearance? Clearly bad since they never told dipper and mabel. But them being the grunkles implies they have at least on more sibling. Howd they feel about the disappearance?

I cant wait to get more details on those two. i feel like their relationship has to be all levels of fucked for him to never mention having a twin. Like no matter how mad i was with my bros id fucken mention them at least once even by accident to their nibblings.

Three: i like how often mabels outfit changes i love her silly themed sweaters and fun earrings. The cross fingers gag on the back of her sweater after lying to her grunkle stan made me laugh. Shes so weird and fun and loud and i love her. Dispite now being a guy i see myself in weird little girl characters. Like yeah i too would've glued a hot glue gun tomyself and wore chips as earrings. I too would have lost my mind over losing my pig. delightful i adore her randomness.

Four: dipper is equally relatable but in a way that makes me scream lol. His anxietys are so familiar to me hope he sees someone for that. And that book cannot be helping. The author was clearly paranoid and while dipper wrote that he trusts mabel i worry that he wont always.

Week 55: "O Remember, remember"

You guys, this week was weird.  I'm still kinda trying to collect all my thoughts and make sure I'm remembering all of it, because this bad boy had MANY chapters.

It wasn't a bad week.  We reconnected with two friends we had lost contact with...one is very enthusiastic and wants to be baptized (yay for Dylan!) and the other is less gung ho but we had a really great impromptu Bible study and we were far closer to the same page than we were when we started, so we're making it a weekly thing now!  All of this was a tremendous blessing, because finding new people to teach has become extra difficult lately and we haven't had a lot of success.  Never underestimate the Lord's power to work miracles!

Wednesday I had another exchange with Elder Burrill, one I expect to be the last for a while.  We supported each other as always, and we were so spirit led!  Elder Burrill is amazing at listening to where God wants him to go...we were putzing around in Meijer and he suddenly felt prompted that we needed to go in the direction of the sporting goods...and immediately got distracted looking at the disc golf equipment.  We began to wander off, hoping we hadn't missed our moment when he decided we needed to go back, and 30 seconds later decided that "dang it, we don't need to be here anymore".  We were a bit disappointed, but I made a crack about how perhaps the Lord sent us over here just to delay us, knowing that our juvenile minds would get caught by the discs for just long enough to be in the right spot later.  We went to go find the car, and at exactly the right split second we ran into Austin, a super chill dude that was down to hear a scripture and ended up being pretty interested in the Book of Mormon!  It was such a rad testament to the need to sometimes follow the Spirit without knowing why, and I was pretty proud of myself for correctly guessing what was happening.  Later on our faith was tested again...we were prompted to go into a restaurant, and we found the person we think we were looking for but making our escape without buying any overpriced pizza was a challenge.

Also on Wednesday (now you can see how packed this week was) we had a district council, and I felt inspired to share a message about remembrance.  I've been pondering this a lot lately, and the need to remember is so critical to holding on to your relationship with Christ.  We are taught things in our lives by the Spirit, sometimes through a thought or feeling, or perhaps through an experience.  I know that there have been moments in my life where I felt like I could not be more joyful to be alive/more faithful in Jesus Christ/more loved/more confident.  We ALL are given the experiences we need to be faithful and happy...but how often do we handicap ourselves by forgetting them?  This is why we write things down and say them out loud.  This is why we must consciously choose to keep the joy and the confidence in spiritual things at the forefront of our minds always, because if we never forget we will never falter.  And I feel pretty confident in that being what the Lord wanted me to share, because once again (this happens a lot in the Big Rapids District) every person who shared at that council shared a very similar point despite there being no communication amongst us beforehand.  And then a member of our mission presidency did a missionwide devotional about remembrance two days later...again without knowing about anything we were talking about amongst ourselves.

Saturday we had a really epic opportunity to travel to Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo for an oratorio performance called The Lamb of God.  The Lamb of God is about the ministry and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and is designed to bring people of different faiths together.  It was written by a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but each Lamb of God performance is put on by over a hundred people from dozens of Christian denominations.  It was a powerful performance, and as part of a district goal from Elder Burrill I considered what the Lord may want to teach me as I listened.  Remembrance once again filled my mind, and temperance also.  I think the Lord is trying to tell me something.

About half the mission was invited to the performance, so it was also a very fun opportunity to see people I haven't seen for a while.  I really, really have such a great love for these missionaries.  I've been working hard to see people as Christ sees them, and I feel like I'm getting better at it.  I've also never been to Kalamazoo before (it is apparently a real place) so that was neat.

Since then, my life has mostly consisted of taking care of my dear companion...he seems to have gotten something stuck in his intestines, and has been in pretty brutal pain for the last few days.  We're trying to get approved to go see a doctor...pray for us pretty please.

Completely Random Agents of Shield Headcanons (Part 2)

Part 1

Daisy and Daniel's wedding anniversary is July 22nd. The day is the anniversary of Daniel's death in 1955. Daniel was actually the one who suggested that date. Daisy was very reluctant and confused, wondering why in the world he would want to choose his old death date, but Daniel convinced her with "You saved me that day." (Also it's the day 7x09 aired).

Despite the team not being in a formal work setting anymore (or very often), they all still pretty much call May, May, rather than Melinda. Phil is the only one who will call her that on a regular basis, and Mack and Elena will say it sometimes, but Fitzsimmons and Daisy still find it weird since they literally never called her Melinda before. In fact, there was a time when Daisy called her Melinda just to try it out. The two looked at each other, shook their heads, and laughed as they realized how weird it was, so she is just May, and May doesn't mind.

When really happy, Kora's body naturally emits warmth, and when she hugs people, they can feel this warmth radiate from her to them, and everyone pretty much loves it.

Also when Kora came back to 2019 with the team, she took 'Johnson' as her last name. Daisy was the one who suggested it given that Kora had said she actually didn't know what her last name was, so Daisy kinda just said, "You're my sister. Why shouldn't we have the same last name?"

Daisy visits Cal's veterinarian practice on a regular basis. He always has the biggest smile when she comes in, and everyone that works there knows her. Daisy always feels the sadness deep down within her, knowing that he doesn't truly remember their connection, but there are some moments that still make it feel like he's her father like when she first introduced Daniel to him. The happiest moment was when Daisy and Daniel decided it was time to finally adopt a dog, and they adopted a rescue from Cal's practice.

And the dog is either a golden retriever or a german shepherd (I might be biased towards german shepherds as my childhood dog was a german shepherd mix)

Each of the team members who have died at one point has their name on the Wall of Valor the number of times they had died during their seven years together. For example, May has gotten several students ask her, "Professor May, why is your name on the Wall of Valor twice?" This was Mack's idea.

Daisy will still sometimes use 'Skye' as a cover name for undercover work.

Polly Hinton invites May and Daisy to many of Robin's school functions (award ceremonies, holiday performances, festival nights, art shows, etc), and both of them make it a point to attend every single time. They even attend her high school graduation when that finally rolls around.

The team brought back their karaoke nights (it is canon that they had them in s2), and Mack made it a point to make "Don't You (Forget About Me)" a song they have to do every single time.

Alya's first word was 100% "Enoch", and Fitz is still pissed about it.

When/If the team starts having kids (excluding Alya), Mack and Elena are the first ones to have a kid (after already adopting Flint).

At some point, probably between seasons 1 and 2, Daisy got her GE Degree, and Coulson threw her a small party with the team and some of the new agents when she completed it.

This is more of a speculation than a headcanon, but what if Deke is not Alya's child? What if his mother is actually another daughter of Fitzsimmons? OR because the timeline changed, he may not even exist in the team's timeline at all anymore. Like Alya ends up pregnant and she actually has a girl, and Fitzsimmons are just like "Wait, what?" OR They have a son who has a son, and as the kid grows up, Fitzsimmons start to notice similarities and just go "Oh my god."

Coulson has taken all of the team's kids on joyrides in Lola at one point or another. Daniel nearly had a panic attack when he saw his and Daisy's tiny daughter in the passenger seat as Lola flew through the air.

Joey and Elena have lunch together very often. Mack and Flint tag along pretty often, and when she's free, Daisy is also invited as well and Daniel when he comes into the picture. They all also attend Joey and his boyfriend's wedding.

Daniel gets really into photography. After the typewriter, Daisy's next big gift is a polaroid camera. Eventually, he does own a more modern camera and he does have quite the portfolio on his smartphone, but he just loves his polaroid. He loves taking pictures of architecture and nature, but his favorite subject to photograph is, of course, Daisy. And once they have a kid, the kid is another favorite photography subject of his as they grow up.

One of the first things the team did after returning to 2019 after time traveling was going to a diner since their diner meal in s4 was cut short.

Alya and Davis' son actually become really good friends when they are older. (And if you think about it, Alya is actually older by like 2 or 3 years)

Every family takes turns hosting Christmas. After all the kids are born, May hosting and The Mackenzie-Rodriguez family hosting actually become the most anticipated Christmases

Now the two of you were terrifying individually. But together? People scram. Well, except for the members of the underworld office.

But let's start from the beginning.

Now, your body language screamed 'scram', you fought monsters, never engaged in small talk, knew what you wanted in the long term, didn't smile a lot, etc etc.

And people were scared of that.

But, what they didn't know was, you were shy. You kept worrying if your body language wasn't right to the point you kept messing up, you fought monsters as you wanted to help people, never talked because you were scared of messing up, only knew what you wanted after debating & overthinking it for a long time and you were self-conscious about your smile.

Eventually all of this just made you come off as cold and intimidating, and you had no idea people viewed you that way.

People avoided talking to you because they were scared to. You just assumed they didn't like you or they felt you were weird.

It stayed this way for a long time.

Until one day, you were flying around when you heard a monster yell in the distance. You reached just in time to see a black ghost trying to stop a monster from continuing it's rampage.

You couldn't just stand by and watch so, you decided to help him.

The man later introduced himself as Boss and asked for your name. To which, you took time to answer.

The two of you met a couple of times before he eventually asked you to join the office.

Now, in his eyes, he thought the two of you were similar. Granted you seemed more reserved than him, but he was glad that he met someone like him after all these years (as a ghost).

You didn't click with the team immediately which was reasonable. But you felt bad every time Eugene and Sean stammered whenever you were talking to them.

Though it took some time, everyone got used to you and your ways so, for the first time in years, you felt like you fit in. And Boss was the first to understand that you weren't closed off or cold. You were just shy.

He would often stand by your side, helping you voice out your thoughts. Asking you for your inputs and complimenting you when you succeeded. If you ever messed up, he would just suggest ways to improve and tell you to not be too hard on yourself.

Eventually, Boss casually asked you out. It was so smooth to the point where you didn't even realize he did.

Telling you to take your time to answer, Boss waited patiently for your reply.

He knows that shyness is something that takes time to overcome. And sometimes, it doesn't go away completely. So, he tries his best to be patient with you.

Afterall, you are a loving and caring person. Your shyness doesn't change the fact that you are still an amazing person.

He is not a very expressive person himself. But, to help you feel comfortable in the relationship, he will take initiative sometimes.

I kinda headcanon that he is kinda a shy guy himself so....

He knows what it's like to be misunderstood as scary and intimidating just because you don't speak.

But he assures you it's okay, and that even though it may take a long time for you to be more out there, he will stay by your side.
