в перерывах между работой и работой черепашьим темпом, но продолжаю писать "игру вероятностей" (а также вбоквел к ней) и на самом деле это удивительно, насколько много можно накопать для фандомного творчества в сёнане с пироманским флёром о неудачнике ОЯШе, которого проклятый пятилетка против воли учит быть боссом итальянской мафии

i mean если не вдумываться то это классическая история о дружбе и крутых боях с эпичной системой сражений: с пылающими кольцами, причудливым оружием и милыми опасными животными из коробочек. но приглядись поближе.. и наткнёшься на огроменный психологический не фундамент даже, котлован. Гокудера и целый букет из его проблем с доверием, с выражением эмоций, конечно же его дэдди ишьюз и ещё куча всего? Тсунаёши и его неврозы, страх ответственности за чужие жизни, о которой он не просил? Ямамото с его больным перфекционизмом и формой эскапизма, когда он воспринимает всё как игру, чтобы тупо продолжать жить? Рокудо-наконец-Мукуро и его многообразная шиза из-за экспериментов над ним в детстве? Хром и постоянная дереализация? гиперактивный Ламбо, который настолько надоел собственной семье, что они отправили его на другой конец света с самоубийственным поручением? Хибари-мать-его-Кёя и какое-либо дерьмо, творящееся в его голове, которое оправдывает такую жестокую стратификацию общества на травоядных и хищников - сложно точнее обозначить его тараканов, опираясь исключительно на канон, не уходя в дебри хэдканонов. и это только главные персонажи. а есть ещё Занзас, например, Ирие Шоичи, Бьякуран, аркобалено, в конце концов..

ладно, понимаю, что я сейчас сгустила краски и на самом деле в каноне персонажи ведут себя так, как ведут, практически в каждом втором случае исключительно ради хихика, ведь "реборн" изначально выходил как комедия. однако то, как потом те же характеры, выглядят естественно в серьёзных уже ситуациях (та же арка будущего, да даже в конфликте колец уже), как раз и заставляет меня думать о глубине психологической ямы в основе истории

при этом в каноне эти темы вообще не затронуты никак, даны лишь намёками. наверное, в этом и кроется ответ, почему спустя больше 10 лет с знакомства "реборн" всё ещё представляет интерес: благодаря этому задорная внешне история приобретает глубину (и активирует мой спгс)

i like thinking about how all the versions of frank i know are so gentle with civilians in a certain way. its always "it was my pleasure", "youre safe im not going to hurt you" and "just stay still youre fine" while hes defusing an actual bomb. its always we cant shoot at the strip club because the workers are going to get injured and we cant have that above most else. the punisher is big and scary and kills people without a second thought but if you didnt ask to be there and are just a regular guy wrapped up in situations way beyond you he is also so gentle and its driving me insane

how do you clone a fey? that's trick question; and fey love those!

@the-navistar-carol (<333) brought up a good point while I was talking about my changeling danny au with her -- Dani! How would she exist in this au? Danny's a changeling - a fae. How would Dani, a clone of him, be created? How do you make a fey? Not through any means that Vlad is doing; you can't make a fey through unnatural means, considering the Fair Folk are nature. And Vlad's not a fey himself -- he's a halfa, even if he could make a fey, it's not in his best interest too. He's a powerful ghost, but even the weakest fae can overpower the strongest ghost. He won't want a clone of Daniel to be more powerful than him.

(In a three tier hierarchy it goes Ancients -> Fae/Mythos -> Ghosts. They all live in the Infinite Realms, but on different Planes. The fae live above the Ghost Zone in the Fey Wild, while the Mythos live beside the Wilds or down in the ghost zone depending on where they are. Places like the Frozone, the Athens Acropolis, and other such large islands climb throughout all three Planes.)

(While Ghosts can travel into the Fey Wild, its generally advised against as the ectoplasm tends to manifest differently there due to close contact magic. It can make it rather disorientating for a ghost, and as human spirits, the Fae living there would jump them faster than they could blink. So unless you're willing to play mind games with 'steal thy name eat thy face' fae, most ghosts keep out of the way of the Wilds. Fey can travel down into the Ghost Zone, they just don't bother.)

That's of course, not taking into account if Vlad even knows Danny's a fae himself. Vlad doesn't ring me as someone who really cares much about ghost culture or the going ons of the GZ. He might be aware that fae exist, but the moment he realizes he can't use them for personal gain he just doesn't bother with them. The risk is greater than the reward, and he'd rather not get eaten. But lets assume he's aware by now that Danny is fey, and has to take that into account while cloning him.

So, how does Dani exist? Good question! Honestly; i'm not sure. She might not exist at all, or if she does, she's more halfa than fey. Vlad would need a lot of human dna and ectoplasm to balance out all that fae magic. He manages to steal DNA from Jack and Maddie to do it, and since Jack's fey ancestry is very dormant its much easier to use alongside Danny's DNA.

In turn, it results in a little girl whose more human-ghost hybrid than clone. With that little extra boost in fey magic making her not a fey, but still relatively powerful. Dani is less of a clone and more of a lab-grown little sister. It's a rather tedious, complex process that has Vlad tearing his hair out trying to figure out. But he does eventually figure it out.

Having Childe as a fave is so fucking rough man.

I used to have this long ass period in which I would constantly hate post about him, how annoying he was etc. Everyone on here thought that I hated his guts and that he was my least favorite Genshin character in the entire damn game.

That couldn't have been further from the truth.

The real truth was that I was so pressed about the fact that he hit this absolute sweet spot for me so perfectly that I was just stunned. Like, how dare you???? It became fun to hate him, unironically.

The more I hated him, the more he appeared on my social media feeds. Just take a look at my Pinterest for example.

Babe, that's my MAIN feed btw. I refresh it on the regular and he's. He's just THERE. I don't think I even have that many pins saved of him, at least not so many to warrant this level of harassment. It gets even worse when I'm looking at other characters and he just completely takes over. It first starts with a single piece of his art and BOOM, absolute take over, it's him everywhere.

I think this harassment was too much for me that I gave in 😭😭 He's officially on pookie husband status and a lot of my followers get so confused when I talk about him, you don't know how BAD the hate posting was!!!

I still want to fight him and mess him up for good, but I fear he'd be totally down for that. Tell me, how can I fuck this man up?

I REMEMBER THAT that is so real, I don't think it's possible to just. Straight up *like* Childe. There has to be SOME bit of infuriation to go along with it. One cannot love the man without also wanting to strangle him, the two reactions just go hand in hand and are inherently inseparable. Like it's a physical property of his nature to induce rage but also love, but then realizing the love part only induces more rage because like? How dare he do that to me?
