A Flashy Act-Buggy x Reader (One Piece Live Action)

Summary: You and Luffy find yourself with new members for your small pirate crew, quickly after stealing the map to the grand line, you're all kidnapped by a crew of pirates.

(Based on the One Piece Live Action!! since no one has written about Buggy which has surprised me. Enjoy this one shot Buggy fans!! You guys can decide if you want part 2 to include smut or not😩 next part will be written depending on how well people like this🤡)

"You know I'm gonna be king of the pirates. It's the first time I've had a ship like this." Luffy excitedly told the ginger haired girl.

"I know you've told me that many times already. Can you please be silent for once?" She asked getting annoyed by Luffy's constant talking.

"You be quiet. The kid's just excited." The green man known as Zoro told Nami.

Nami was trying to open the lock which was protecting the map inside.

Both of them unexpectedly helped us, when Luffy and I broke inside to find the map to the grand line, with a bit of help from Koby who had been kidnapped by Alvida. Thankfully Luffy saved him, the young boy said he wanted to join the Marines.

Luffy and I had entered and quickly met Nami and Zoro. Zoro was tied up with Nami dressed as a Marine trying to also have the map Luffy and I were after.

I have been by Luffy's side since many years now. Since he was a small boy, I am only just a couple of years older but I was the second person who raised him. The first being my older brother,l Shanks.

Just earlier the four of us were fighting a couple of Marine soldiers with Axe Hand Morgan trying to stop us, and almost did. If it weren't for Zoro and Luffy's help then we might've already been executed.

"He's just being enthusiastic about all of this. There's no need to be so mean." I said glaring at Nami and she glared back as well.

I decided to not say anything else to her so I walked over to where Luffy was holding onto his straw hat.

He had a smile on his face when he turned to look back at me. "Can you believe this, (Y/N). We finally have have a crew. I can only imagine the look on his face if he were to see me."

"I know he'll be proud. You're slowly becoming a true pirate." I nudge his shoulder and saw him smiling as he stared at the dark skies.

"I think we all make a pretty good team."

"Why do you even protect that hat so much. It looks like to fished it out of the trash."

"One man's trash is another man's treasure." Luffy replied to Nami when she spotted him holding onto the hat.

We all looked back and saw Nami has successfully managed to open the lock. "You did it!" Nami picked the map and unrolled it. With the four of us standing close looking down at it.

Luffy didn't get it or understood where the Grand Line is, so Nami began drawing it for him so he could understand it better. Rogers treasure is hidden somewhere in there.

A loud sort of bomb was heard with the sky now turning red. We all ran out of the ship and saw something explode in the sky. Zoro was the first to fall to the floor and Nami began to cough before she collapsed.

Oh shit. I tried to cover my mouth and nose but to was too late and I also fell to the floor and collapsed.

"Shhh (Y/N)."

I jumped up a bit and opened my eyes to see Luffy a bit too close to me. I rubbed my eyes and tried to stand up but saw that the four of us were inside of a wooden box.

"What..how did we get here?"

"It wasn't the Marines work. Before we all collapsed, I saw a ship heading towards us." Luffy said with Zoro quickly replying to him.

"It'll be easy then. Marines have training. Pirates don't."

We all were quickly met with circus music when the top of the box was removed along with the rest of the box. What the hell?

Zoro, Nami and I looked at each other weirdly when we looked at our surroundings. We were inside of a huge circus tent.

Red and white colored stripes with lights decorating the place, weird looking people and a crowd that were seated but we're tied by their ankles.

The crowd continued to clap with Luffy doing the same but Nami and I stopped him.

"No no no. Stop clapping! It's all wrong"

The four of us looked over at where the voice was coming from and we all looked to our left, and saw a tall man come through dressed entirely as a clown.

Long coat, bright blue long hair with exaggerated makeup and a red clown nose.

"The spotlight was late, it missed my entrance. And where oh where is the lion?" He said standing close to a man with white bear ears?

"Heyy. I know you." Luffy said which made me look back at him wishing he hadn't spoken.The man with blue hair turned to look at us. Wait..Luffy is right, we've seen him before.

"I saw your Wanted poster at Shell's town. You're the clown guy..umm..uhh. Binky, right?" He asked.

I nudged Luffy's shoulder. "Shut up, Luffy. That's Buggy." I muttered seeing that the clown kept his eyes on us.

"Buggy." The pirate corrected and grinned. "Buggy the Clown. Buggy, the Flashy Fool. Buggy, the Genius Jester." He said when no one spoke, seems like no one here knows about him.

"That one beside you seems to be the only one who's heard about me." I felt nervous when his blue eyes landed on me and he smiled.

I had only heard of him, and saw him on the Wanted poster. But I swear I must've at least since him once before…

He's creepy..but weirdly find him attractive. Maybe it's just my brain distracting myself from danger, who knows.

Luffy seemed impressed, "Wow. You have a lot of names."

I nodded my head and looked at Luffy, "He does. Everyone in the East Blue knows who he is."

"What did you just say?" His expression changed when I suddenly said that. Which made me confused.

"That everyone knows who you are?"

"Nose?!" I was paralyzed when Buggy came over and was now holding onto my face.

"Are you making fun of my nose?" He said a bit too close to me.

"I swear I wasn't! But..now that you mention it, is that thing real?" I asked genuinely wanting to know.

Buggy tilted his head as he stared at me, "You're kinda cute." He hummed and grinned

I saw Luffy's hand slowly started to try and tough the clowns nose until he smacked his hand away. The clown grinned looking down at me and stepped back letting go of me.

"You think you're so clever… What's real is I've been scheming for months to steal that map from old Axe Hand Moron. Only to find out that I was upstaged by four little nobodies, who stole it from right under my no-…No!! It's in my head now."

"Hey! I'm not a nobody. I'm Monkey D. Luffy. And I will be king of the pirates." My best friend said making Buggy laugh.

"Oh! Now that's funny. My bounty poster graces the marquee of every Marine Outpost for miles. And my menagerie of outcasts and freaks is the most dreaded pirate crew the East blue has ever known. I am destined to find One Piece. And when I do. I will be King."

"No, you won't. 'Cause I'm gonna find it first." Luffy told him.

Zoro stepped between us and looked at the other clowns behind Buggy. "I am Roronoa Zoro. Drop your weapons now and I may let you live."

This made Buggy laugh while looking at the green haired stoic man.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a celebrity in our midst. Too bad I hate sharing the spotlight. Now, maybe we should skip right to the finale."

Buffy retrieve a set of blades and smiled at us.

"My freaks put quite a bit of a rehearsal time into this little abduction. And if I can reward them with that map.. I suppose I'll have to offer them a pound of flesh instead."

Nami stepped between Luffy and I now, now looking at Buggy. "Wait. What if I have something else to offer you? Something more valuable than the map? What if I give you a new freak for your crew?"

"A rare talent. The most spectacular act in all the East Blue. Besides you, of course."

Nami glanced back at me and I glared back. Nami has grabbed Luffy's straw hat and tossed it up, just when Luffy showed his devil fruit powers, Nami left running.

"That little bitch." I whispered glaring at where she left.

It wasn't long at all when they brought her back and she revealed that Buggy's crew had destroyed the entire town.

He shrugged his shoulders as he stared at her. "Not everything. I let 'em keep their hands."

The sign for "clap" was lifted again, making the poor towns people begin to clap.

All the lights were suddenly focused on Buggy again. "I know one of you has my map, and I'm going to get it back." He said in a serious voice now.

"What was it you said, Rubber boy? That ir was in a safe place. Don't look so surprised. I got eyes and ears everywhere."

"I know where it is." I spoke up making all eyes turn to look at me.

I began to laugh as I showed the clowns and Buffy my middle finger. "You can all suck it or shove it up your asses.

Buffy clapped and at the people surrounding him. "Okay! Let's make our guests uncomfortable in the green room." A few clowns came to grab Nami and Zoro.

While another pair came to grab Luffy, Buggy stood behind me grabbed my neck and grinned looking at Luffy and looking back down at me.

"And I am gonna have a chat with our new pals.."

Another Cael brainrot yes and please.

Going through the Azure Island events really makes you notice Cael's spectacular character development. Good character development is usually when you can't tell the difference between their first impression and the impression they give off now. At this point, he's almost completely unrecognizable.

I mean, just look at him? Wasn't this the same man that said he'd willingly replace modern Lars with Godheim Lars?? Is this really the same guy???

From a man who cared little about the lives of literally everyone else except for the MC (and being the clown he is while denying it 🤡), now treasures the lives of giant clams. Little old him wouldn't have so much as acknowledged them in the first place.

He's changed. He has now begun to treasure the world in which she resides in. Immerses himself in everything the world has to offer, because in the process of falling in love with her, this planet has become his home. A place to return to, because,"Home is where your loved ones are." And Cael is an objective example of that.

And then there's that one time when you play Lars' route in the main Azure Island story. Where the MC practically blurted out, "Oh so that's why I kissed Lars, because of my intense desire-" and Lars getting flustered because why is she saying this in front of Cael of all people?

And you know what follows next?

Cael feels absolute gratitude. Does not feel jealousy, embarrassment, or even the least bit upset at the show of her love towards someone else. He is truly relieved that MC has found someone she can trust and love. Someone that can keep her safe without needing him. He does not care that the person she needs is not him.

Her happiness isn't even something he categorizes as a top priority as it were some duty of his. Calling her happiness as "something" important just falls short on how he actually feels. It's become the most natural need in the world for him. Even if he's on the losing side of this relationship, he does not care or even seem to think about it. It's her. What is there to think about?

He wants her to be happy, that's all there is to it.

Emma: "... It's terrible."

Gilbert: "Ahaha."

I stroked her soft hair and tickled her ears with my fingers.

I can't stop smiling wickedly at the little rabbit that makes her body tense uncomfortably every time I do this.

I just came across a video where a guy says that Jacaerys'dad could actually be Criston Cole 🤡. Because Rhaenyra marries Laenor shortly after her argument with Cole and is quickly pregnant with Jacaerys. This theory is so absurd that I don't know if I should laugh or cry.

I have already extensively written about how there is no indication in canon that Rhaenyra and Criston were ever lovers, much less in a physical way. Actually, most evidence would show the contrary.

And finally here where I discuss the only place where a "rumoured" romance between them is mentioned - A Fest for Crows - and how long ago this was written and all of the changes to the story that happened since. For instance, at the time Feast was launched, Lyonel Strong was listed as Rhaenyra's first husband and there's no record of Daemon existing. Just as two quick examples but there's a lot more.

But answering this ask specifically, let me just see if I got everything.

So we are told that when Rhaenyra and Criston have their final break either he refuses her advances or she refuses his, and according to Mushroom, the same night she goes to Harwin. Next day, Criston is wearing Alicent's favour, Harwin is wearing Rhaenyra's favour, Criston breaks Harwin's collarbone and elbow, and by the years's end a boy who is the spitting image of Harwin Strong is born and the conclusion here is that Criston is or could be his father (i.e., for those who need clarification Criston was from the Stormlands and had black hair and green eyes; Harwin was from the Riverlands and had brown hair, brown eyes and a pug nose). This is the conclusion.

I don't know why the youtuber - this is Preston right *sigh reserved exclusively for Preston's "theories" cause I saw that video - stop at Jace. F_ck, they are all Criston's and Criston is a secret Stark who can warg into other bodies. Oh hell, let's not stop at the "Velaryon" princes, he's actually Aegon and Viserys's dad as well since he warged into Daemon too. Hell maybe Daeron is also his.

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

Oooh it's got to be one from Won't You Come Out Tonight? (a lil 'i have too many stars in my eyes to realize you're flirting with Me' Barto/Luffy fic I've been working on for a while). Greater context for this scene is that Barto has been on the Sunny all day, missing signals left, right, and center, and for the last couple hours specifically has been trying to play it Very Cool whenever Luffy touches him.

Nami frowned. “How much?”

“More than usual, given that this is a local festival month. Prices for everything have gone up across the board, but,” [Law] held a hand up, cutting Nami off as she started to argue, “you’ll be happy to hear that lodging is taken care of."

“Taken care of,” Zoro repeated. “As in?”

“Free. I cashed in a favor.” When the swordsman’s brow quirked, Law added, “It won't be luxurious. We'll be sleeping four or five to a room, but the bedrolls will be clean and we’ll be fed and watered. With a few hours’ notice, we’ll also be allowed to use the host’s private bathhouse. What’s more, they’ve graciously agreed to house us for two weeks.”

“Two weeks?!” Luffy leaned around Barto, practically falling into his lap. The hand that wasn’t plastered to Barto’s side latched onto his thigh. “Oh man, how’d you pull that off, Torao?”

Trafalgar glanced aside, opened his mouth, then clicked it shut again. He took an uncomfortably long look at how Luffy was sitting. Barto flushed from his cheeks to his chest, watching Law watch Luffy’s fingers grip him.

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

There’s several attempts at humor that I’ve written that I find pretty amusing, but the line “Was he stupid?” in my vampire takasakyo fic has audibly made me laugh more than once. It’s supposed to be Takanosuke’s own thoughts about himself but writing it in third person just makes it very funny to me.

💖 What made you start writing?

Honestly I think I’ve just always been writing cuz I enjoy doing it. It’s funny bc I’ve always been more character/idea focused than plot focused too. I remember very vividly in elementary school when we had creative writing assignments, I’d always feel like “themes? Overarching narratives? Dawg I just wanna write my silly little guys” and that’s basically the energy I’ve carried into all of my personal writing now. For where I am with my fics now, basically it all comes from just having like a really specific idea for a certain line or scene and I go “oh now I GOTTA write this” and then I share it with the world bc I can.

✅ What's something that appears in your fics over and over and over again, even if you don't mean to?

IVE ACTUALLY REALIZED THIS RECENTLY. I was rereading a couple of my own fics the other day and I noticed that a good couple of them start on a piece of really flowery imagery focused on one character that generally has little to nothing to do with the rest of the story.

^ Perpetual Loneliness was I think first tipped me off to this

^ Around a Campfire is definitely the worst offender in this regard. This literally adds nothing to the story nor does it connect to anything else that happens, I just think it sounded cool.

^ This one is unpublished but even this could arguably count. Me and my obsession with sunbeams thru windows man.

The other thing I’ve noticed in my writing, which at times I do think can be a little bit of a flaw, is my tendency to have a little side tangent to establish a hc that I like, usually disguised as a memory that the character is having in the moment. So far the ones that come to mind are the closet suitcases in Perpetual Loneliness (I think this is the worst offender here), the garcias and their respective interactions with airplane travel in Close The Gap, basically the entire first half of Around a Campfire (this one though is arguably the most naturally incorporated I think), and a whole paragraph in my current zyronobu wip (which actually is partially a callback to my first zyronobu fic). It’s a fun way to add some more ideas into my writing I think

For me, I think the concepts that keep coming out to me are either A. Yandere makes you all cute and pretty because they think you're adorable and wants you to be as pretty as you can be, almost kind of infantilizing, and then B. Yandere is a dick and a control freak and you wearing makeup is because HE wants you to because HE thinks it looks good and even if he's taking you out around other people, you aren't dolled up for them, you're dolled up for HIM

God you know that one shigaraki auction fic i wrote that in hindsight wasn't executed that great but like, I have this thing for darlings that get all dolled up by their captors in like dehumanizing but luxurious ways idk how else to describe it? Yeah you're wearing a choker/necklace that looks lowkey like a dog collar and maybe even has a leash or something but the little pendant dangling from it has stones in it worth a small fortune. You're being forced to dress up but it's in expensive clothes because the captor is materialistic and doesn't want you looking cheap. It doesn't matter what kinds of styles you like, or even if you don't like makeup at all, they're going to make you do it or else

Something about that second one obviously really ignites the shit disturbing rebellious brat nature inside of me

God i just also like. Ok. So you guys wanna hear an embarrassingly super specific fic idea I keep writing in my head. So. Yeah its my go to cringe comfort the chobobros again ok 💀 so. Imagine after Reader starts you know kinda just lowkey mutates/evolves into an Omega, everything is kind of awkward as everyone is trying to navigate the new, uh, pack dynamic? All your new smells that let them kind of vaguely know how you're feeling, how your scent will fluctuate between certain intensities and how it affects them biologically such as you raising your voice in anger and all of them suddenly feeling a strong urge to become passive and apologize, an almost biological reaction of wanting to keep you happy and healthy? They can tell when you're starting to get hungry or you're anxious, and it can be hard for you, as someone who kind of "just got the equipment" to try and control your growling or purring or little whines bc yeah I think people in the omegaverse having enhanced vocal abilities that include sounds that are more primal/animalike is a neat idea

I just imagine like. Everything is all awkward and no one really knows exactly what is going to happen because I mean. Omega haven't been documented for like maybe a few centuries at this point, maybe like Past Ardyn's era since that's when the gods basically first touched down or whatever, and absolutely no one really knows anything besides like old wives tales, like you're talking about a unicorn. So. Anyways. Imagine doing the whole on the road thing and everyone is trying to chill when you pass through a town with some sort of like, farmers market going on, or maybe through some NPC side quest level shit you meet an old man having a garage sale and that's when Ignis finds THE THING: an extremely old looking leather bound book in its own protective little case that reads something along the lines of THE OBSERVATIONS OF OMEGA VOL.I

Obviously the gang HAS to get this book, and I imagine Ignis starts making offers and when the old man sees how desperate he is, he instead proposes, say, some sort of monster slaying quest, maybe a daemon has been terrorizing his land or the area for generations and he wants it gone or some typical side quest bullshit BUT, anyways, you get the book, and I imagine since it's potentially one of the only few copies of written information on this topic, i imagine Ignis is, kind of a little bit of a bitch about anyone but him touching it because, like, HE GOES ALL OUT. Even touching an old book with your bare hands can ruin the ink with the oils from your hands, so he always handles it with his soft leather gloves on, always meticulously careful. The book isn't quuuiiiiite falling apart but doing something like dropping it could split the bindings, or turning a page too aggressively could tear it right off.

But sometimes I think it would be interesting if the book is written in a scientific-but-not-really-and-actually-maybe-this-is-lowkey-creepy kind of way but Ignis is consuming it 100% unironically. He's trying to thumb through a chapter and it's saying something like "omega form strong emotional attachments due to their biological roles and instincts as caregivers and child-bearers" and Ignis looks over across the campsite and you're teasing Prompto over a bed head and suddenly taking a comb and tidying up his hair while the blonde is getting all red in the face and Ignis just completely unironically internally going "oh you're helping groom him 🥺❤ you ARE a caregiver"

And I feel like Ignis would slowly start sharing his "academic research" with the others, bit by bit, until suddenly you feel this, depends on perspective but most likely uncomfortable shift where you seem to go from being perceived as "one of us but female, let's roughhouse and be gross sometimes" to "one of us but female BUT ALSO our sweet precious omega oh my god look at you in your little sundress aren't you just so cute, dont strain yourself carrying anything even remotely heavy because You Are So Very Sweet And Delicate"

I am so sorry I took so long to answer this...things have just been very busy, and I haven't had enough enough energy in the last few weeks to be able to form a single coherent thought. But here I am, at long last.

So.

Wednesday.

I feel like I was the last person to watch it because everyone was already talking about it akfjangkajdjaf I had filtered the tag, though. So I managed to avoid spoilers. ✨

My cousins were over, so we watched 1.5 episodes one night, and then the next night, we stayed up till 3 am to finish it. 💀

It was such a fun show. I have only seen one The Addams Family film, and that was nearly 13 years ago. So I didn't really have much idea going in. (I am, however, embarrassed to admit that I did not realise Christina Ricci was playing Thronhill akfjajnfja I had a shock when I found out) But I had a great time watching it!

The pacing was good, the characters were fun to follow, the plot was interesting, and I think they did a great job with dialogue writing too. Plus all the little callbacks to the other Addams family media that I've seen being talked about were a nice touch.

I would have liked the ending fight to last a bit longer, though...we had so much buildup to it, but then it was over so quickly....that, plus Weems' death was SO anti-climactic. Like, come on guys, you had Gwendolyn Christie, you can do her better.

and there were a few plotholes that I would like more resolution to, and more development on all their characters. (btw, this is not at all a plot hole, just something that's been bugging me...how did Rowan's mother make that drawing before she died 25 years ago, if he's 16-18, considering they're in high school? Did I hear it wrong?)

I was convinced from episode 2 that Thornhill was suspicious, and in episode 5, I was convinced she would be Laurel, but then they really managed to throw me off by making the therapist blonde lmao. Apparently, I forgot hair dyes exist 💀

I also had an inkling Tyler was the Hyde from episode 3, but man...he really managed to win me over, and I actively ignored all the signs 🤡

I still kind of ship him and Wednesday akndamnfnaj. But honestly, I won't be mad if we get Wenclair or aro/ace Wednesday either.

Btw, that hug at the end was EVERYTHING. 😩🤌

Oh, and for the characters...my ranking for the main group would be:

8) Xavier (I wasn't going to include him at all, because of the very serious allegations on Percy Hynes-White right now, but because the character has a major role in the show, I will put him here. Maybe I would have put him about Weems before, but I can't bring myself to have any grace for him under this controversy.)

We haven't really had enough Morticia and Gomez (episodes 5 when we saw flashbacks of their time at Nevermore has me so hungry more of their past story) and Pugsley for me to rank then, and I would love for that to change. Gimme more of the family, please and thank you.

And on an ending note...I have never seen a Morticia that isn't just straught-up ethereal, and Catherine Zeta-Jones fits it so well. Every time she was on screen, I literally could not focus on anything else. The walk. THE WALK. Just...yes. that.

Anyway, I'm eagerly waiting for season 2!

More random thoughts :)

I know Mix has everyone on chokehold, but for me Earth is the most magnetic guy on the show (as he was in 1000 stars). Earth is one of the hottest guys on BL shows and actors in general. Not only is he very handsome, he has an incredible body (HIS HANDS ALONE JUST MAKE ME WANT TO WRITE POEMS, it's very nice of the MC’ cameradude to film his hands), but what captivates me most is the aura of... maturity, calmness, reliability that surrounds him. Probably the only other BL actor who can pull this off so well is Mile 💖 

I loved how their first scenes felt so... mature. Two grown men with their lives, jobs and problems meet in the magical world of a night city, neon lights, moonlight, empty side alleys... It had the vibe of Hong Kong movies, very In The Mood For Love and Happy Together :) If this mood had been maintained, I would have given this couple 10/10. But somehow in the second part of the episode it changed and it was like in any other BL series. Also Wen, a grown ass man, applying for a job at basically something little above the fast food joint just to be close to a guy...🤡 oh maaaan, what are you, 15 with first crush? There are so many ways to pursue a man, who is so obviously into you, no matter what he says! :D It killed the mood created in the excellent first part ;) But whatever, I can live with that, it’s just so funny :D

Apart from the change of mood (that I decided to ignore), I needed literally 2 scenes, 2 camera shots to fully accept this episode. 1) I'm not sure yet if Alan is Wen's boyfriend, but if he is, I'm missing a scene where Wen has at least some reflection about cheating on him. We see Wen being indifferent to his boyfriend (?). This behavior is just him being a dick, not cute at all, no matter how lovely Wen is otherwise 2) one, literally ONE camera zooms in on Heart's face looking guiltily at Li Ming, or even at Jim. Honestly, trying to avoid problems with his parents by blaming someone else would be understandable in his situation (although Li Ming somehow MUST be brave and MUST face the consequences, right?), but it would be nice if he felt guilty about it. Or if he was at least trying to calm his parents or communicate to them, that maybe we don't need to blow this case up, especially when he sees it escalates to some serious conflict, accusations are flying, demands for money, and his dirty little alcohol secret has been literally shouted out anyway. Even if his parents don't believe in it now, it's out there.

Of course, the next episodes can explain everything, I’M COUNTING ON IT and the series trailer gives me hope, but I must admit that I would have more sympathy and affection for Wen and Heart if they didn't show such... indifference to those they hurt with their actions and lies. (Actually, I also miss the third scene when Wen at least rinses his mouth after puking. I don't know in what reality a person whose mouth smells of beer and vomit is attractive, but maybe only in mine lol)

Hassel and Brassius are amazing dads, but can be…overbearing. Aman loves them and thinks the world of them but can’t help but be embarrassed when Brassius still pinches his cheeks and Hassel still cries over every little accomplishment his son makes. It really breaks the cool guy mask he wants to keep on.

Doesn’t help that his dads are VERY interested in his dating life. Constantly ask “Who’s that girl you were with?? 👀👀” or “oh that man you were talking to was handsome!! 👀👀”. Aman will turn red in embarrassment and cover his face.
