hey just a reminder because i keep seeing this garbage pile up in the lgbtq+ community: people are not inherently bad for being a man and being masc. it is not a bad thing to identify as a guy and do masculine stuff and present yourself in a masc way. the view that being a man somehow makes you bad/abusive/creepy/bigoted hurts so many men in our community (gay men, trans men, literally everyone actually) and it's just a ridiculous statement in itself. gender does not equal morality, belief or action. people are not predisposed to badness because of their gender. that is a silly idea and i thought we as a community progressed past this but apparently not.

well, I just so happen to have a copy that i may or may not have annotated

and on page 110, Sir Gawain states that he crash landed on the ice planet weeks ago. Which, one, how the hell did homeboy survive on only fish, two, how did nobody else rise up to the task of rescuing the princess at that point, and three, that means Elyana was with bard for weeks. poor her

It's not even specified how many weeks, just at least two

i'm not even going anywhere with this that's literally all i have to say

was thinking about donbros finale which led me to also thinking abt the zenkaiger finale and like. i was gonna say. like.

“if you had given me the quickest recap of both of these shows that you could, and then told me one of them ends on a mostly happy ending for everyone with getting the endings they needed except it’s fairly bittersweet bc the leader loses his memories and that one of them ended with the protagonist beating god in rock paper scissors, i would Not believe you once you said which was which”

but then like. i thought on it a bit and no, that absolutely tracks? yes donbros so much wild bullshit was happening and you’d think fighting god with a hand game would fit right in but i think it’s actually really fitting the ending was as neatly wrapped as it was, it was still very chaotic but in a cohesive way imo

and honestly if any character was gonna again beat god in rock paper scissors of COURSE it would be kaito (it’s not totally out of the question for haruka if you see her as the protag but i feel like that would end a lot less fair), that’s just such a Him thing to do

i’m certainly overthinking a lot of this, i just think it’s neat how they ended in…i guess somewhat reflections of the tone the other had, if that makes sense. they’re truly such good shows
