it had been 3 months since your ‘break up’ with tara and to be completely honest you were doing terrible.

you never liked it when tara drank, she became someone you didn’t recognise.

and now you’re here, you barely recognise yourself. drinking copious amounts of liquor sleeping with a new random girl.

if you kept yourslef sober enough you’d be disgusted by the reputation you had acquitted, the ‘life of the party’ the fuck boy who gets with pretty girls and leaves before they wake up. it didn’t mean anything to you it truly didn’t it clearly meant nothing to the hookups. you both wanted a sexual realsie and that’s what you got.

doing anything to distract yourself from losing the one thing that made your life bright.

Tara had heard of your new found reputation along with glaring looking at you drunkly go upstairs with a girl.

she felt guilty, real guilty. yet too stubborn to talk to you. was she scared you’d end up the way amber did? yeah. did she love you? yeah. was her fear a reasonable excuse to hurt you the way she did? not particularly.

but yet here she is, sat in her apartment wallowing in self pity, contemplating texting you.

she’d spend her nights feeling guilty debating to reach out but never truly had the courage. she hears a ping from her phone and checks the message.

well if she had a reason to text it was definitely now, so with the surge of confidence that had absolutely nothing to do with the raging jealousy she clicked your contact and let it ring.

“sorry the person you’re trying to contact does not exist” and with that the call ended.

tara was left in disbelief, you blocked her? you got some new girl and blocked her? that made a already very jealous mad tara exceptionally more angry

she didn’t particularly have the right to but she still was.

grabbing her shoes and keys, she was going to confront you, luckily for her you’re a couple doors away. it’s honestly shocking you two haven’t seen eachother since the fallout.

and with three knocks, she was stood at the door left with silince. she raised her fist to knock once more when a beautiful black haird girl opened the door.

logically she was stunning, but to tara? you could do better. and it isn’t at all jealousy

“can i help you?” the girl at the door way asked, recovering from the momentary stun tara replied.

“i-uh. i’m here for Y/N?”

“tara?” your voice rang out behind this new mysterious girl.

this was the first time her eyes met yours after THAT. you looked good, better than you did atleast.

but she would hate to admit how she missed the way her eyes instantly found yours wherever you were.

“we need to talk” tara replied to you

you were stuck, on one side you never wanted to see her again but that little part of ur brain was nagging at you to just hear her out.

and so you went for the latter. “okay”

tara looked back at the girl guarding the entrance to your apartment, she reluctantly moved aside and headed towards your bedroom.

“if you need me Y/N i’ll be right here” and with that she entered the room closing the door.

“so are you and broody over there..together?” she was trying to keep composer (it didn’t work)

“what do you care?” you replied bitterly

“i don’t. i-just..wondering” that composer is definitely working very well. “what do you want tara?” you were getting impatient now

“why did you block me?” she asked getting straight to the point

“it’s not like we were talking” you replied. she really had the nerve to throw you to the cerb then comd to your apartment and ask why you had blocked her?

“maybe because you were too busy getting drunk” she folded her arms across her chest.

“oh? so you’re getting judgemental now?” you walked closer to her.

“i have never once judged you, and now you’re judging me for something you’ve done?”

you were face to face with her now. you were a couple inches taller than tara, so you were looking down on her.

she would be lying if she said seeing you mad wasn’t atleast a little bit attractive.

“i had my reasons for what i did” she stated getting louder now.

“and i didn’t?” you were shouting now, both arguing with one an other.

“we were simply fucking Y/N-“ she started “No!” you cut her off. “don’t even act like what we were doing was ‘just fucking’. i loved you and you know damn well you liked me more than just some side bitch-“

it was her turn to intrupt you now “you loved me?” the tension was softer now.

“of course i did tara? you were everything i ever wanted” you paused

“and now i have everything i need” you looked towards the bedroom door, tara following your line of sight.

she felt the tears in her eyes, but she be dammed if she let you see them fall.

the soft “oh” fell from her lips “i see, well i’ll leave you two to it then” and before you could say more she turned around and left, leaving you stood in your apartment once more.

this time you had something, someone to go to. someone worth it.

He entire demeanor changes as soon as you say the word/do the action.

He’ll remove any restraints, gags, etc, firing countless questions and apologies.

“Shit, I’m so sorry. What’s wrong? Are you hurt?”

Does everything he can to make sure you’re safe, comfortable, and not in pain.

It would hit him hard!!!

One of his biggest fears is being like his father (hurting the women in his life with no regard.)

He’d probably be afraid that you hate him, or mistrust him.

Like Azriel, he would probably take a break from having sex with you for a bit, beating himself up over what went wrong.

He would need reassurance, for sure.

one last thing, and i say this with a note that i still haven’t finished s6, but maybe the greatest injustice this arc has done to river’s character is the ‘brainwashed to murder the doctor’ thing.

perhaps this will be different by the end, but right now, what it feels like is that we went from the implication that river killed the doctor without giving us a reason but giving us the pieces to guess why river would choose to do such a thing. already in the time of angels/flesh and stone, we know that river does love the doctor, but that doesn’t mean she won’t lie to and manipulate him when she thinks it’s necessary. it wasn’t hard to speculate that, if a situation came up at the beginning of their relationship that pit the doctor against something river thought was more important, then she would make the choice to kill him. whatever reason that might be, that was beyond speculation, but it made sense that she would.

but that. is no longer something river is choosing. it’s brainwashing. that’s all. river wants to kill the doctor because brainwashing (and even more infuriating, she falls in love with him because. and i quote. she’s a woman.)

the removal of her agency in this, even implied agency, makes everything around it weaker. river being brainwashed to kill the doctor doesn’t actually say anything about river herself. (i will give credit to it opening the door to river’s first choice(?) of her own free will being to give up her regenerations and save the doctor. that’s a nice touch, even if it was also obviously a way to nerf a character they realized they’d given too much power to. but even then, what do we learn from this, right? that being told she has a future where the doctor trusts her is enough to make her stop being brainwashed into doing murder?)

and so everything around river killing the doctor is tainted by association, her imprisonment that she implies she’s taking as penance (girl you were brainwashed), the way she talks around the crime and regrets it (girl you were brainwashed), because beyond the tragedy of her being cultnapped, which the show doesn’t seem to care to linger on for more than a minute and so lost the impact of quickly!!, there isn’t much to this whole thing.

and it ends up screwing the doctor’s part in her story up, too.

(okay. quick side tangent. did i or did i not hear river tell the doctor that he taught her to fly the tardis. as in, an extension of trust that mirrors when he’s surprised she has a sonic screwdriver in her very first episode. but then in let’s kill hitler, she just. had the tardis beam tardis-flying instructions into her brain, no doctor necessary. god, this is infuriating. who unwrites their own character beats.)

but now, where’s the tension? yes, river will definitely totally kill him, guys (<- show that is still making new episodes.) but like. who gives a shit. it’s brainwashing. the doctor falling in love with her is no longer choosing this knowing that, like river says will happen to her, what i assume we were supposed to apply to the doctor as well, that the worst day for both of them will be when they don’t even know each other. when the doctor loves her most, river would choose to kill him. that’s the whole basis of the tragedy here, isn’t it?

but hey! the doctor doesn’t have to actually wrestle with the woman he loves being at one point so ideologically opposed to him that she’d shoot him dead! it’s brainwashing, guys. she’s brainwashed. and she’ll get better and stop wanting him dead when there’s no more brainwashing. and he knows this. the only angst left is in him actually dying, a very real very serious threat on the BBC’s doctor who, a show that famously will definitely kill off the doctor. for realsies.

i don’t know. it’s just frustrating to me. you’ve got all the pins of a tragedy set up so perfectly, and instead, you got a gutter ball. by god, i’m hoping this all gets miraculously resolved by the s6 finale and these complaints turn out to be meaningless. but that’s a thin, thin hope.

Has he seen your list? Does he really meet all of your requirements?” Kunikida stops. Nikolai’s smug grin also dips into confusion. Dazai is about to have so much fun with this.

“We made a deal,” he states.

Yosano’s hands clench into fists at her side. “I will not use my ability like this,” she growls. “If it didn’t work the first few times, then I’m afraid there’s nothing more I can do. I refuse to fruitlessly bring someone to the brink of death so many times.” She doesn’t want to give up. Truly, she wanted to help Fitzgerald and revive Margaret, but she knows what so many repeated deaths does to someone. Even if it’s only near-death. Even if they remain unconscious.

She won’t do it.

But Dazai is not going to admit to Poe, of all people, that he and Ranpo decided to start fake-dating on a whim two weeks ago just to make their coworkers uncomfortable but now that the gossip has spread beyond the Agency and they’re having to face the mortifying ordeal of being known head-on, Dazai is sincerely starting to think maybe he should have considered the implications before agreeing to this.

So instead, he simply offers Poe a sympathetic smile. “I promise I’m being at least a mildly decent boyfriend to Ranpo-san. And, hey, they’re totally polyamorous so you might still have a chance!”

“Hey babygirl,” Naomi calls across the office. Ranpo looks up, opening his eyes just long enough to successfully catch the piece of candy she tosses at him. Once it’s secure in his hands, he snaps his eyes shut and grins.

“Thanks, babygirl,” he responds. He unwraps it and pops it into his mouth as Naomi giggles.

Over at his desk, Kunikida lets out a long-suffering sigh.

“Don’t worry, Kunikida-kun,” he calls over. “You’re still the ultimate babygirl!”

Naomi’s giggles erupt into gleeful cackling, and Ranpo grins. Someday, they’ll get Kunikida to crack and join in on their little game. But until then, they’ll simply continue playing with their fun coworkers. Like Naomi.

Gin and Jouno both freeze immediately, looking over at Tachihara (or, in Jouno’s case, simply turning their face towards him). As soon as he realizes they both have their full attention on him, his hesitant smile turns fearful.

“Me?” Gin signs “Or them?”

“Yes,” Tachihara says. And then, “No. I don’t know! I just wanted you two to stop fighting!”

Jouno frowns. “Tachihara-kun, I do not have a gender for you to take. You know this.”

Gin snorts, which only results in Jouno turning back towards them. They point an accusing finger. “I am not done with this argument! We will resume as soon as I’ve figured out what is wrong with Tachiahra-kun.”

Gin raises their hands in surrender, which they hope is a movement Jouno can hear.

To their left, Tachihara sighs.

“I’m nobody’s pawn!” Nikolai proclaims. He moves a piece across the chess board. “I’m a queen!” He folds his arms over his chest, grinning triumphantly.

Fyodor frowns. “Kolya…you can’t make that move.”

“Hah!?” Nikolai looks down at the board. “What do you mean? That’s the queen; I can move her anywhere!”

“No.” Fyodor sighs. He pinches the bridge of his nose and wonders why he even agreed to play chess with someone notorious for breaking every rule he comes across. “She cannot jump over other pieces. You jumped her over two pawns and a rook.”

“No I didn’t, ‘cause I zig-zagged her around them.”

“That’s not how chess works.”

“It’s how my chess works!”

Fyodor closes his eyes. He takes a deep breath. This is going to be…a very long night.

Are you accepting commissions?

No, I'm not right now. tbh commissions stress me out a lot lol, and i kind of function on a "i can only get myself to work on this if i am personally invested in it" type basis, and people like to commission for fandoms that i'm not always in - which makes it super hard for me to work on! Do you do drawing requests?

Yep! Not all the time - only every now and then, and I usually only allow for about 3 requests. I make a post every time I open them up, and it's usually updated (all the slots filled) within a few hours or so. If you don't see a recent post about requests being open, or see it on the pinned post announcements, then they aren't open atm. :)

Do you draw NSFW?

This is a new development - but lmao yeah I do! However, you almost certainly won’t be seeing it show up on my art blog here. For the most part, I try to limit myself to “suggestive” rather than straight up nsfw when I post art. That means I won’t really be taking requests (or comms) for NSFW, either, not to mention I’m only just getting a handle on drawing it.

That being said - PLEASE don't send me messages about NSFW things, or with NSFW content or images. I’m talking asks, mostly. That shit gets deleted fam. >:T That would include like, something super gore-y or needlessly gross, btw. I'd rather just avoid people trying to show me that stuff all together.

start slide two in the beginning of time… there were four gods: eltenjer, he/him, earth; skari, he/him, fire; aenged, they/them, air; thilda, she/her, water. i didn’t /mean/ for them to have genders, but a quiet breeze whispered “psst. i use they/them.” in the beginning? so you mean… they’re not there anymore? kind of! the gods need followers to survive, and after several unfortunate events, they lost the majority of their followers. the aforementioned unfortunate events: the great ruination, in which natural disasters caused several years of famine and other hardship. the restoration era, in which renovation led people to believe they can live without the gods. if the gods are dead, what’s the point? the gods aren’t /really/ dead, closer to dormant. they can’t actively interact with the mortal realm, but IF they had followers, they would come back to life. oh. did i mention that they control the magic. end slide two

start slide three the dormant gods who can't do... anything control the magic??? hey, no one said magic always has to work. foreshadowing alert huge foreshadowing alert. let’s talk about how magic works, shall we :D people use the Spirit to do magic. people have a Vessel (representation of stamina or how much Sprit can be used at once, can be trained!). people also have a Strength (a type of magic that works well with the user, these have varying frequencies which also depends on location). there’s too much i could say here, but the important thing is the main characters’ Strengths. the right depicts an image of a flowchart showing that gods need followers and produce sprit. people need spirit to do magic. end slide three

start slide four okay but where are we??? where could the magic be so fucked? well, here, of course! the left side shows a line art map, split into five parts going clockwise: portingdale, worchester, the hooks, elderwood, unlabeled. the legend shows that there are mountains in portingdale, forests in elderwood, and rivers that run from portingdale to everywhere else. the place where the four labeled regions meet is called the Inner City. the text on the right reads. welcome to Kjer! there are 3 districts. but wait! there are five? sections? and one isn’t even labelled. worchester used to be a district,,, but it left after the war began. the unlabeled section is the disputed region (re: war). let’s talk more about this war. elderwood wanted easier access to water (see: the rivers in the Wetlands) elderwood & portingdale have been fighting there on and off for over half a century. the hooks has three wards: west (hella rich), south (lower income), north (somewhere in between). end slide four

Kaer Styen, meaning “wicked ones”, Ghetfaer Skarnen, meaning “trickster lords”, Ad Knesten, meaning “the grumbles”. that was so many capital letters i don’t like capital letters alskjdflksjd. they have rivalries and conflicts from time to time, but it’s pretty rare. the tww cast is kaer styen !!! their main means of profit is a drug called jezdin. relieves physical and mental pain. lethal in high. quantities/ when tampered with. can also be addictive. they operate out of a dingy tavern-like building, and they live upstairs!!! okay so this is purely for vibes. how did u know. end slide five

start slide six the Gang. literally :3 Kaer Styen, my beloved. the first thing in each of their bios is their Strength (re: the magic slide). artbreeders!!! i fixed quite a few of them, but my artbreeder skills are questionable at best. this slide is split into three columns. the first column shows a white person with short, brown, curly hair and a firm, but not angry, facial expression. len, he/him, pan. Shifter (can manipulate physical properties). cynical, very cynical (because he has killer instincts). “oh people are dying? am i dying? are you dying? why should i care?” in a relationship with cal. the second column shows a person who appears east asian with long, black, wavy hair and fair skin. chloe, she/her, aroace. Chemist (chemistry but magical). literal archery god. also she’s so quiet it’s SCARY. seems welcoming, emphasis on /seems/ she’ll destroy your ass. knows what you’re feeling. she just. knows. the third column shows a white person with dirty blonde hair. they are smiling. cal, they/them, bi. start slide eight some semblance of plot? coming right up!! the four (jereth isn’t there yet!) are attacked in the Inner City. turns out it’s portingdale soldiers. and then they discover that portingdale has been poisoning the southern rivers (affects worchester and the south ward) because worchester doesn’t really contribute to Kjer as a whole. word gets out, and elderwood, naturally, is even angrier at portingdale (remember, they've been at war). so, they try to stop portingdale from being power hungry enough to poison the entirety of a country while learning about why worchester is so isolated while ALSO trying not to get killed by everyone who hates them. end slide eight
