i do think they are managing expectations and not going into the season as contenders for the title (tbf no one is) but even if charles wins races that will be huge for 2025-26

I agree anon! From the little I've heard/seen of Fred, he seems like a pretty no nonsense guy, so if he tells me that the goal is for Ferrari to win five races, I feel fairly confident that Ferrari might win five races. I actually prefer having my expectations managed in this way, rather than trying to pretend it would take anything short of a miracle to compete with Red Bull in their current form.

That being said, if anyone can pull off a miracle, it would be Charles. I'm less confident about him winning a WDC this year, but the way that this team is being restructured from the ground up to give Charles total control and the best shot at the championship, from Arthur Leclerc becoming a development driver, to Ollie Bearman being a test driver, and Ferrari reportedly refusing to re-sign Carlos unless he takes on a clear n2 position–well I think Charles has a good shot at 2025, and an even better shot at 2026 where the regs change and there's no guarantee that Red Bull will be on top anymore.

Something interesting to note as well is Adrian Newey (the technical mastermind behind RB's current success) thinking of standing down from the F1 team at RBR, and Fred apparently poaching several RBR engineers who worked on the RB19/20. All in all, things are looking like they could swing in the favour of a Charles Leclerc WDC at some point within the lifetime of Charles's contract extension. Charles definitely made the right choice staying with Ferrari, and I don't trust anyone saying otherwise.

All animals are beloved to me, but I want to see what peoples' opinions are on different little critters. Currently only doing by species, so subspecies or breeds will not be taken, but do feel free to add photos of their variation or submit photos of them. Maybe we’ll end up doing a bracket if I feel inspired enough/ people want one. Even though I'm asking about opinions, another goal of this is to educate people about animals and to hopefully create a better image for unfairly hated animals. My name is Olli (they, she, he). I am studying to be a veterinary technician so animals are kinda my thing. @not12001ants is my main blog where I post about supernatural, jewish stuff, and mostly shitposts. I am vaguely working on making a blog for my art (mostly watercolours) but it’s empy right now so I’ll edit in a link to it later. 

Tagging system

Justin bursts through the doors of Faber and into the main rink, following the unmistakable rhythm of pucks striking against the boards and the scraping of blades on the ice. 

Holster is stood in front of an empty goal, stick in hand and a bucket of pucks next to him. His chest is visibly heaving, even from here at the edge of the rink. Even as Justin is standing there, his best friend picks up another puck and slaps it into the goal, the sound reverberating through the arena. 

Justin hesitates for a second before running to join Holster on the ice, slowing down if only not to fall over. As he draws nearer, he can hear Holster muttering to himself and Justin frowns at the words. 

“Stupid,” Holster whispers sharply. “I’m so fucking stupid.” He punctuates his sentence with another slapshot. “Can’t believe I even thought for a second that I would have any kind of-”

Justin clears his throat. “Adam?”

Holster freezes mid-shot, but doesn’t turn around.

Justin takes the final few steps towards his roommate before enclosing him in a hug from behind, breathing a sigh of relief as he feels Holster relax in his arms, in spite of the still rapid rise and fall of his chest . Justin leans around so that he can vaguely look at Holster’s face. “Adam, what’s up?”

Holster evades Justin’s gaze. “It’s nothing.” He kicks one of the pucks by their feet, emphasising just how much this absolutely was not nothing.

“It clearly isn’t; you wouldn’t be shooting pucks at an empty goal at 3am if this was nothing.” Justin squeezes Holster in what he hopes is a reassuring gesture. “C’mon, talk to Rans.”

Holster tenses up before slumping against Justin’s chest. “When that scout came to talk to Ollie and Wicks last night, I just thought for a second that maybe it could have been for me, you know, maybe my dream of going pro wasn’t dead after all.” He shrugs. “But when I realised they weren’t there for me, that feeling of rejection from Juniors sort of slapped me in the face again.”

“And it just kept going around in your mind until you couldn’t sleep?” 

“Exactly, so I figured I might as well come here and practice. Maybe attempt to keep the dream alive.” 

Justin frowns at Holster, or at least as much as he can when he’s two inches shorter and behind him. “Coming to shoot pucks by yourself isn’t going to help.” Holster starts to pull away from the embrace, but Justin holds firm. “But playing a one-on-one with someone else might.” 

Holster perks up, back no longer slumped against Justin and hands finally starting to move with their usual hyperactivity.

Justin finally releases Holster. “C’mon, give me like two minutes to get my skates on and then we can play the best game of hockey you’ve ever seen.”

hi love! this made me smile, thank you for following me 🥺🥺🥺 I’m glad my rec list can be of use! honestly, I’m updating it almost daily atm lol i’m so bored and i have so many stories i want to read!! i’m also trying to add links so it’s easier for everyone! 

as for Scout... you mean like, general info on the game?? I kinda suck at summaries but basically, it’s an interactive story with a post-apocalyptic/ dystopian setting. there’s been a worldwide disaster and now humans try to aggregate and live in communities. the mc lives in a small community and is part of a scouting team, but the council of the community kinda dislikes them because they’re too curious and they want to investigate the ‘People Across the Orange Plains’ (basically another mysterious community of survivors- not everyone believes they even exist). so yeah mc is a BADASS and the romantic options are god tier... like, I have my preferences of course but they’re all so valid! First is Ezra/Elle Taylor, the gender-customizable best friend. Loyal, charming, a sweetheart (and also hot). Perfect for a slow-burn childhood-friends-to-lovers! Then there’s Ollie, aka Oliver Shen, brooding leader of the scouting team. He’s tall, he’s beefy, he’s very emotionally constipated and he’s very serious and goal-oriented except when mc comes along lol. Choose him for the yearning and the sexual tension you could cut with a butter knife. Then there’s Sabine Langford, another scout. She’s so pretty it hurts and I’m loving our interactions with her so far, but I still don’t have a clear sense of her character! She’s ambitious and pragmatic, secretly soft as far as I can tell. Last but not least, Gage. He kind of just appeared so we don’t know much about him, but he’s the very flirty, quite sarcastic ‘rebel’ type. He has an aura of mystery as well. Kinda f*ck boy vibes but I feel like he’ll soon be smitten with the mc :’) That’s about it!! I really recommend you play and give it some well-deserved love!!!
