Thanks to whoever sent that ask because it just reminded me of how long it was and now I can only think of the shit the two of them went through (especially new mum Dina) trying to help Ellie and Tommy move on before they finally put themselves first

It was all so innocent

Well okay,

You did steal something from the store but! In your defense, it was not something the cops should be chasing you for!

That didn’t stop them though.

So suppose you shouldn’t be that surprised now as you ran down the road, just barely stopping yourself before you rain head first into JJ Maybank.

JJ was walking out of a store when you were suddenly two inches away from him, you knew each other of course. Both born and raised on the cut, both having some sort of reputation around the OuterBanks.

Both known by their first names by all of Kildare’s Sheriff’s Department.

“Oh shit” JJ muttered to himself once he realized who you were running from, watching as you laughed and then continued running. 

“Maybank! Should’ve known you were involved!” JJ turned his head towards the voice of one of the officers. “I knew I smelt bacon somewhere!” He called back, not quite getting the amused reaction he was aiming for before JJ turned back in the direction you ran, following after you.

Your accidental partner in crime.

You don’t what point you both had lost them but as you hid behind some old shack, all that was heard was out-of-breath giggles from the both of you, catching his breath JJ finally asked

“What’d you even take?” 

Another round of laughter was triggered after he watched you pull the small tube of pink lipgloss from your pocket. 

Something shifted that day, an actual friendship blossoming after the chase, dragging each other to parties, JJ picking you up from work on his motorbike, Spending most nights on the old trampoline in your backyard or in John B’s old hammock. 

“I don’t think I trust this thing to hold the both of us,” You remarked once, laughing as JJ pulled you into his arms anyway. “Do you trust me?” he asked, a smirk on his lips as you settled into his side. 

“No” 

That landed both of you in the grass after JJ pushed you off, not expecting you to pull him down on top of you. You both lay there, the sweet laugh falling from your lips as JJ shook his head, smiling down at you as he held himself up with his hands. Before you had time to react the feeling of JJ’s lips on yours flooded your senses, hands flying to his hair while almost desperately kissing back.

It’s getting repetitive how all but a handful of your memories together result in giggle fits 

and soft kisses.

speaking of handfuls though.

You and JJ never had an official label, not at first. You assumed of course that it was JJ’s choice, if he wanted you to be his girlfriend he would’ve asked, right? And he hadn't, it’s free game.

Especially when every time you looked over at JJ tonight, he was cozying up with some tourie and he has been the entire party.

It's your turn.

So, naturally, you shoved down any envy over the pretty girl next to your JJ and found yourself a kook. It’s not that you were trying to tick off JJ, really! You weren't! 

But if you had been trying to tick off JJ, what better way to do it than with a kook?

It was a matter of minutes, you had barely learned the kid’s name before JJ showed up behind him tapping his shoulder. You didn’t need to know JJ Maybank personally to know what his plan was as Jacob previously mentioned Kook turned to look at him. 

“You can fuck off man, she doesn’t need you to save her and take her to the dark side,” JJ said, his words with sarcasm as he got closer to Jacob, too close. John B’s attention was shifted to the situation JJ was starting from Kiara pulling on his sleeve and pointing, Pope and JB both moving forward slightly, just to pull JJ off or help if needed.

“Oh, you’re scared she’s gonna run off with someone worth it huh?” Jacob argued, earning your attention as you went to cut in and argue with him yourself but you were quickly cut off by the sound of JJ’s fist colliding with Jacob’s jaw.

The night ended with you cleaning JJ’s bloody knuckles in John B’s bathroom. 

“He was wrong” You muttered, gently wrapping the bandage around his hand. “What?” JJ’s gaze was soft as it landed on you, having previously been too occupied staring at the floor to give you so much as a glance. 

“Jacob was wrong-” JJ rolled his eyes, scoffing quietly, cutting you off in doing so. “Jacob? You remember his name?” “JJ will you just shut up for a second and listen to me please?” You all but got on your knees as you begged him to just listen. 

Finally, his eyes met yours, sliding himself off of the small bathroom counter so he was directly in front of you, hands going to your forearms and rubbing up to your shoulders in the comforting way he’d always do to you. 

He had shut up now, allowing you to take a breath and settle your hands comfortably on either side of his waist. “JJ, you are worth it, and Jacob’s a piece of shit, and had you not thrown any hits I probably would have because you are the most worth it” You explained quietly, nearly whispering, allowing the small space between you two to be filled with soft breaths and your words. 

And he kissed you again, with more feeling than ever before, and a silent promise of proving himself to be as worth it as you had known he was.

The summer before the big gold hunt had beaten any summer before it, and you failed in believing it wasn’t just JJ’s presence that made it so great.

You cheered for JJ as he tried to take on his biggest wave yet, watching as he instead crashed straight into the water you cautiously kept an eye on his flipped board before he came up from the water and flipped it upright, heading straight for you as you moved just slightly forward in the water so he wouldn’t have to swim so far. 

JJ pouted as you took off your sunglasses, keeping a hand on his surfboard so it wouldn’t move away as he leaned up just enough to press a soft kiss on your lips, more for his comfort than yours. 

“You almost had it, baby” You mumble against his mouth, before letting out a short squeal when JJ picked you up, hooking a hand under your knee to guide your legs around his waist as he looked up at you with a soft look that JJ always reserved for you. 

“I’m gonna get it next time” he mumbled back, tilting his head back when you ran your fingers through his wet hair to get it out of his face. “Yeah, you will. And I’ll be waiting here with your victory kiss” You smile at him as he moves slightly, turning you with him as he tries to get the sun out of his eyes.

“It helps havin' my cheerleader here” He responded, matching your smile when you set your heart-shaped sunglasses over his eyes.

What would he do if you left him?

That’s all JJ could think about after that day, what if you just up and left? Leaving him behind to beg on his knees every day for the rest of his waiting for you to come back,

Hoping you’d come back.

It kept him up some nights.

How easy it could be for you and how hard it’d be for him.

But this particular night was one spent in your bed. He had come over only 4 hours earlier, around 10. Knocking on your window and wordlessly leaning into you when you asked how he got a black eye. He knew how you’d react, you hugged him with all your strength, smoothing comforting hands up and down his shirt and muttering sweet words into his shoulder. He knew that you’d know exactly why he came over.

He needed you.

And like always you were right there.

JJ had only managed to sleep for 3 hours, waking up in a cold sweat after a shitty dream. He distracted himself with the way you looked, sleeping peacefully beside him, the moonlight coming through your window hitting your face just right. 

JJ was never one for really cuddling while he slept, he’d typically end up on one side of the bed, passed out laying on his stomach but somehow his arm always ended up across you, or his hand would be your back or stomach, no other part of him touching you but something touching you. 

He reached for you even when he was sleeping. 

But now, all he wanted was to be cuddled up next to you, on top of you, or sprawled across you, hugging you in any way he possibly could.

He really couldn’t help himself as he moved closer to your sleeping frame, carefully moving one of your legs and settling between them, laying his head on your chest. 

JJ really hadn’t meant to wake you up but he couldn’t help but sigh with relief once he felt your hand in his hair, hearing the difference in how your heart was beating, typically it would bring a sense of pride at the thought and confirmation that he could still make your heart race. 

You both lay there in silence, playing with JJ’s hair as he mindlessly toyed with the hem of your shirt. 

“I think I’d lose my mind if you left me” JJ’s soft and tired whisper broke through the comfortable silence you had created. “What?” Your voice was just as quiet as if speaking any louder was forbidden.

“Just” He started, pausing to sniffle, “just promise you’ll stay this close okay?” He asked, words almost getting stuck in his throat. 

“Baby-” 

“I just don’t know who I’d be without you” He sniffled again, one of your hands moving to his cheek and gently caressing his. Although you couldn’t see his face you could still feel the tears hitting your chest through your shirt. 

“JJ, my sweet love, I’m not goin’ anywhere, I’m right here with you.” You assured, feeling the soft kiss he left on your wrist as you continued running your thumb up and down his cheek. 

“I could never leave you”

“there he is,” you said, pointing across the field.

john b followed your finger, grinning as he saw a number “9” yelling at someone from the other team.

“oh, he’s really going at it…” sarah noted as jj kicked the kid in the shins.

you stood, hoping jj would look over at you.

the kid had toppled over, and jj looked over to see if you’d been watching. he scratched his neck and squinted awkwardly when he found you’d seen it.

you made an “x” sign with your arms and he gave a thumbs up before blowing a kiss.

you blushed. he’s such a flirt.

the coach had now hauled jj away from the boy, and you could tell jj was mumbling quiet apologies he didn’t mean.

then he started arguing with his coach and you slapped your forehead.

finally, jj nodded at his coach and walked away, going over to the kid he’d kicked earlier and dapping him up.

you sighed of relief, face in your hands.

“he’s crazy,” pope said, and everyone nodded in agreement.

the ref blew the whistle and jj went back with his team, everyone huddled briefly before running out onto the field.

eventually, after around two minutes, the game began, the ball sliding between players’ feet. you watched as jj kicked the ball in between the opponents feet and grinned. he grunted as a kid tripped him and he started yelling at him.

but the game continued and jj only grew angrier until eventually he was hogging the ball.

it was nothing to be worried about, though. he was the best on the team and even the other players on his team were glad he was keeping it.

but the other team wasn’t.

jj wanted to take his anger out, so he found himself caught in between a players legs, kicking the ball out of his hold.

it worked; jj now had the ball and was running toward the goal.

he had a clear path if you didn’t count the goalie. every player on the field followed after him, a mob now being created.

jj smirked at his open shot. finally, he kicked it hard. you crossed your fingers as it shot toward the goal.

the goalie reached out to get it. it fell right into his hands, but then slid right past them.

as the ball hit the net at the back of the goal, you immediately rose to your feet, clapping and cheering. you whistled and almost every person who sat on the bleachers stared at you, but you didn’t care.

and then jj looked back at you, checking to see if you saw it. you knew what he was silently asking, and you held out a thumbs up.

he smirked, running away from the goal and continuing the game.

the same thing happened multiple times until the other team had gained motivation and made a comeback.

the score was 5-3, and jj’s team was losing. it was one of the best games of his you’d ever watched.

jj was now furious. he tried as hard as he could to score a goal, but he just kept getting blocked.

as the clock ticked down to two minutes, john b, kie, pope and sarah had all given up and just agreed the team would take their first loss. but you knew jj wouldn’t let it happen.

and you felt your heart confirm it as he seized the ball, rushing it to the goal. it went in perfectly, and everyone cheered.

with a minute left, everything was getting even more heated.

jj was yelling at everyone, even his own teammates, most likely spitting fire. the coach was getting angry with him to the point he almost took him off the field.

thirty seconds left, jj finally got the ball again. everyone stood as he raced to the goal, the path clear as day. everyone cheered as he kicked the ball, but before his foot could make complete contact with it, a player came up and tripped him. jj immediately shot up, fighting the urge to kick his ass.

he couldn’t do it. he had to win the game. he had to get the ball back immediately and score the winning goal.

he tripped the kid back, kicked the ball away from his feet. he chased after jj as he made his way toward the goal.

the goalie looked fierce now. he’d most certainly had a new slice of motivation now as he widened his arms and legs.

jj kicked the ball as hard as he could, wincing as it rolled toward the goal.

“come on, bitch,” he whispered as the other kid raced ahead to kick the ball away.

but he wasn’t able to do it.

the ball reached the edge of the goal, and that’s when the goalie dove and swatted it away.

jj let out a cry as he felt tears tease his eyes. the boy who’d guarded him earlier had cheered, running up to him and shoving him to the ground.

you stood, screaming as everyone else did.

jj spat blood as the kid continued to kick him and stomp him.

jj had later told you that he’d said, “that’s it, bitch! can’t win a game? we can!”

jj looked toward the scoreboard as everything drowned out. the buzzer still hadn’t gone off.

the ref came over, blowing the whistle harshly and pulled the other kid away at last.

when the buzzer did go off, the announcer came onto announce that a point was getting revoked from the other team and added to jj’s team.

you cheered as the rest of your friends stood, cheering along.

there were some “boo’s” in the crowd, but you just shrugged.

even with the win, you couldn’t tear your thoughts away from jj’s hurt.

you ran down onto the field, kneeling down to the jj who was coughing up blood as he still lay on the field.

“j,” you whispered, grabbing his hand and cupping his face.

he grinned as the medic made his way over. “i did it, pretty girl.”

you forced a laugh even though you didn’t feel like it was funny at all.

they cleaned up jj’s face until he was good to go, spinning you in his arms.

he kissed you on the lips excitedly, giving you the taste of blood.

you pulled away and cupped his face. “you’re so strong, j. i’m so proud of you, baby.”

you were laying on your bed, watching tv when your phone buzzed.

you opened it, checking the message jj left you.

outside.

you smirked. you knew he wasn’t at the front door—no, he was at your bedroom window.

not that your parents didn’t like jj. they actually liked him a lot. he just thought it was more fun to climb in through the window.

you bolted up and opened it, immediately falling back as he crashed his lips into yours. you giggled and let your hands roam into his hair until he pulled away.

“hi,” he said.

“hi.”

he brushed past you and sat down on your bed, rummaging through his bookbag. you sat down next to him, tracing circles onto his back. “what’s up?”

“got something for you…” he said.

finally, he grinned and stuck his tongue out as he pulled it out of his bag. you gasped.

it was his jersey. it was red. on the back it said maybank, and then it displayed his number, 9.

you gasped excitedly, grabbing it out of his hands.

you felt how soft it was, but it did not distract you enough from bringing it to your nose. you smelt it and it smelt exactly like him.

“you like that, pretty girl?” he asked, arm wrapping around your waist.

you nodded eagerly, kissing him. “thank you.”

“you should wear it to my games…”

“i will,” you said.

john b and kiara were in the lighthouse and pope was “keeping an eye“ on you and jj.

however, pope felt like he was given this job to third wheel. he was getting impatient and he wanted nothing more than to be with john b and kie.

you and jj had been laying together in the back of the twinkie until finally, jj tapped your thigh two times.

you lifted your head, rubbing half-sleep from your eyes. you got up, knowing that was his signal. “what’s wrong?”

“nothin, baby,” he said, starting to help you up.

you raised an eyebrow. “what are you up to?”

he smirked as if he had been planning something mischievous, but instead he just said, “you want to play with me?”

you once again, raised an eyebrow. “play what?”

“soccer?”

you giggled. jj knew you had no experience, but he loved to play with you and teach you everything. “what do you say?”

“okay,” you agreed, hopping out of the twinkie after him.

he groaned, bending down to pick up the ball he always brought with him.

he placed the ball on the grass as pope got up, curious to what’s going on.

you sighed, watching as jj kicked the ball up over and over again. “go easy on me, love.”

jj nodded and kicked the ball to you. he pointed to a fallen down open garbage can, signaling it was the goal.

you nodded and finally, jj came over to you, trying to kick the ball from your feet.

he was going extremely easy, you knew. but it was fun. you loves seeing him having fun. smiling, laughing. it looked the best on jj.

you laughed and kicked it in between his legs, watching as it flew into the garbage can.

My love, my life – Zhongli x gn!reader

It was rare that you woke up before Zhongli. He was an early bird, usually getting up at the break of dawn or even earlier sometimes, but today, he was still sound asleep right next to you. In the soft light of the morning sun, his pale skin had a golden shimmer to it, a perfect match for the amber colored tips of his soft, silky hair that framed his face like a halo. He was always stunning but right now, his features relaxed, his rosy lips slightly parted, he was even more beautiful. So beautiful that it almost took your breath away, even though you had seen him like this countless times already.

You propped yourself up on your elbow to get a better look at him. His lips were curled into a barely noticeable smile, and you couldn’t help but let out a dreamy sigh at the sight.

Waking up next to someone like Zhongli was an honor and a privilege you wouldn’t want to trade for anything in this world.

You reached out and gently tugged a strand of hair behind his ear. His skin felt incredibly soft under your fingertips as you softly traced the outlines of his face, smiling at the way his nose scrunched up in the most adorable way when you brushed your knuckles against his cheek, caressing his skin until he suddenly grabbed your wrist and brought his hand to his lips. “Good morning,” he mumbled, his voice low and husky, eventually sending a shiver down your spine.

“Morning.”

“You’re awake early today, my love,” he said and squeezed your hand. “Is everything alright?”

You shifted closer to him to press your lips to his cheek. “Don’t worry about me,” you said. “I couldn’t sleep anymore but it’s really not a big deal. I feel well rested.”

Zhongli smiled, and you felt your heart skip a beat at the way his eyes lit up. How could someone be so incredibly beautiful at this time of the day? You were sure that you looked like an absolute mess while he was still the most handsome person you had ever seen, even after just waking up a few minutes ago. He looked astonishingly put together, his golden colored eyes as bright and awake as always. There was not a hint of tiredness in his expression. Even his cheek was completely smooth, free from those awkward sleep lines you often struggled with in the morning. His hair fell perfectly over his shoulder as he let go of your hand and wrapped his arm around your waist to pull you closer to him.

You buried your face in the crook of his neck, brushing your lips over his skin in a barely there kiss and indulging in the warmth of his body and the familiar scent of incense and sandalwood that never failed to make you feel at ease completely.

Zhongli kissed the top of your head. “You look beautiful today.”

You snorted quietly. He often said that in the morning and while a part of you always melted on the spot when he complimented you in his genuine, earnest way, you couldn’t help but think that you surely looked like a dead rat compared to him.

“Sure,” you mumbled, your voice muffled by the soft fabric of his sleepwear. He chuckled softly. “I mean it. The morning sun gives your hair such a pretty shine, I wish you could see it.”

“Stop,” you said, a warm, fuzzy feeling spreading through your entire body at his words. “You’re embarrassing me.”

“I’m only telling the truth,” Zhongli insisted, the tone of his voice so soft that it made your heart flutter. Sometimes, especially in moments like this, you loved him so much that it almost hurt you physically.

He placed a hand under your chin, gently tilting your head up, so that you had to look at him. His fingers trailed to the back of your neck, guiding you towards him, and then, he brought your lips together in a sweet, tender kiss. Your eyes fluttered closed and you reached up to weave your hand into his hair, pulling him closer to you. His lips were so soft against yours, his hand on your neck so warm and familiar, and you found yourself melting into his touch. Whenever Zhongli kissed you, you felt like the most loved person in all of Teyvat.

When he pulled away, you felt slightly dizzy – but in a good way. “I love you.”

“I love you more,” Zhongli replied, willingly joining in the game you had started a few months ago. You smiled. “I love you the most,” you said and leaned in. “Kiss me again. Please.”

“Professor Reid!” Morgan shouted, holding up his drink, clinking it against Spencer’s. 

Morgan had dragged him out the night before his first class, insisting that they needed to celebrate. Spencer didn’t really see what there was to celebrate. He’d been offered a job as a Professor at Georgetown after a particularly eloquent lecture on Criminology. At first, though, he hadn’t been too keen on the idea. He was good at his job as a profiler, why change that? It was something Hotch had said that changed his mind.

“You’re a great profiler, Reid. You’ve learned so much. Maybe it’s time to teach the next genius.”

And then it had clicked. Something about sharing his experience with bright young faces that sat where he once did, just felt right.

So he accepted the offer the week before first term, the school scrambling to get the paperwork in order and Spencer scrambling to prepare a lesson plan.

It hadn’t occurred to him that teaching would be more time-consuming than profiling.

“Whoo! Professor!” Garcia cheered, downing her fourth shot of the night. “Teach me somethin’. Now!” she slurred, spilling a bit of her drink on Prentiss.

Spencer laughed, politely excusing himself to use the bathroom.

Technically he did go to the bathroom. He splashed some water in his face, then stepped outside to call a cab. He’d go back in, say his ride was on its way, and leave. Simple. 

Before he could pull out his phone, he noticed a woman bent over in the alley, breathing heavily. Reaching out a hand, he placed it on her shoulder, trying to be comforting.

Quickly, he was spun around and slammed up against the brick wall of the alley.

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” Dammit. Spencer knew better than to grab some girl in a back alley behind a club.

But then he turned around.

Woah.

There was a fierce look in her eye, sizing him up. She had on a tight black skirt that perfectly accentuated her curves along with a flowy top that left more to the imagination. What really completed the ensemble was the large sash across her front that said: Birthday Bitch. She was beautiful.

No.

Spencer didn’t let himself think that. Sure, he could appreciate a woman’s beauty. But too much of a good thing…. He had to keep up his barrier. 

But then she started to talk. And he didn’t stand a chance.

The way she went on about handshakes and the dangers of going clubbing was extremely adorable. Spencer found himself unable to hold back from bantering with her. Unlike almost every single woman he’d ever encountered, she was easy for him to talk to. The occasional stutter slipped out but she just smiled when it did.

Then she kissed him. 

If he hadn’t been attracted before, he was now. Her lips tasted like bourbon and cherries. The feel of her against him was intoxicating. So he walked her home, trying his best to keep his expectations low. If she truly just wanted him to walk her home safely, that’s what he’d do, make sure she was safe and sound, and leave without complaint. If she happened to want more than that, who was he to say no?

It wasn’t like he’d never had sex. Actually, the two most serious relationships he’d had had barely consisted of touching. But he’d had other . . . experiences. The problem was, he’d only had sex with women he’d known for a day or two. Mostly in college. Sometimes online. Never at a club. 

Spencer had rules. He didn’t let himself get attached. If he started to feel a spark, he cut off contact. It was the only way to make sure no one was hurt.

But this girl…. She made him throw every rule out the window.

A deep, dark part of him wished he hadn’t asked how old she was turning. God, how wrong was that.

He should have arrested her. She had been in a club, drunk, and went home with a stranger. But she’d also kissed him. And he was pretty sure she felt his erection in the alley. How the hell was he supposed to explain that?

“Hey Morgan, I brought this girl in for having a fake ID. I figured it out just before I was going to go into her apartment and fuck her up the wall. Don’t worry she’s only fourteen years younger than me and slightly inebriated.”

That would go over great.

he moon above the pogues hung low, emitting a soft glow. the air was cool and smelt of salt as they all resided on the beach. the kegger was in full swing, drink cups being filled every few minutes. the music played loudly, beat seeming to shake the ground beneath them. the pogues were used to this, sitting on a piece of driftwood beside the bonfire. there wasn’t anybody with them, everybody dancing or mingling a ways away from them.

“okay, okay. lets playyy never have i ever.” john b slurred his words, taking a sip from the red solo cup in his hand. “i’ll start,” putting up five fingers, he held a devilish grin. “never have i ever had sex in the twinkie.” 

y/n choked on the beer she was drinking, spitting it out onto the sand. jj chortled at this, putting a finger down. pope smiled sheepishly, also putting down a finger. y/n muttered something, taking a new sip and slowly putting down a finger.

“okay, y/n and pope yeah i guess i.. ew. i can see that. jj, you have? what the fuck?!” kiara laughed, covering her face. jj shrugged, waving the question off.

“i’ll go. okay, never have i ever gotten so shit-faced they couldn’t walk.” pope wrapped his arm around y/n’s shoulder, pulling her close. his tall, lanky figure against her more short, curvy figure seemed to warm up the girl. y/n dropped a finger, along with john b and jj. kiara grinned again, still proudly holding up all five.

jj seemed to flick a switch in head, grinning. “oh shit. i have a good one.” he chuckled at himself, legs crossing. “never have i ever dated pope.”

y/n’s face went red, kiara looking away as she dropped a finger silently. “low blow, maybank.” kiara muttered, rolling her eyes at the blonde.

the game went on after that, loud laughs being shared as they all continued to drink (except kiara, being the ride home). in the end, kiara won with two fingers while jj and y/n tied for last. the party around them started to disperse, everybody tossing their red solo cups throughout the sand. this made kiara grumble in anger, muttering things about the planet.

y/n stayed cuddled up to pope’s side, who was generally still sober. he could hold his beer well--unlike his girlfriend. she had her eyes close, babbling on about random things.

“babyyyy..” y/n whined as pope stood, pulling up the drunk girl as well. “whyyyy i was comfy.” she slurred, stomping her foot as to protest. 

pope rolled his eyes, picking up y/n bridal style as to carry her to the car. “you’re drunk, we gotta go to the chateau.” he whispered, pulling her hair out of her face as they slid into the twinkie.

the car ride was silent, soft snores coming from y/n. pope carried her inside and onto the pull out couch, smiling as she slumped over. he laid her down, shifting off his sweatshirt and tossing it to the side. y/n muttered something incoherent, making pope chuckle before laying down beside his girlfriend. 

“hoodie.” y/n stirred, head whirring as she tried to focus on pope. he made a soft, ‘hm?’ noise, not knowing exactly what she had said.

“sharing is caring. now give me the hoodie.” y/n mumbled, words now slurring as she spoke. pope grinned at the girl, kissing her forehead before moving to grab the hoodie off the floor. he shook it off quickly, turning to y/n. he sat her up, pulling the hoodie over her head. she let out a sigh of content, falling back down onto the bed and quickly falling asleep.

pope sighed, laying down beside her and pulling her close. he squeezed her hip, muttering a soft ‘i love you’ as he fell asleep beside his girlfriend.

Song Stuck in my Head: Well I’m listening to music rn and “I’m Me” from Phineas and Ferb is on so I’ll say that! (I’ll revisit this one when I finish the list and update it with whatever song i’m listening to/is stuck in my head then) (ok the music has since been turned off and now I have “Status Quo” from High School Musical stuck in my head so! There ya go!) (now it is the next day, and I’ve got “when the party’s over” stuck in my head...i think these three songs are an accurate reflection of my taste in music🤣)

Last Movie: uhhhhh oh yeah, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice! It was SO GREAT because Jay Baruchel plays the main character (and the main character is super awkward), so I felt like I was watching Hiccup from the How To Train Your Dragon franchise learn magic and it was GLORIOUS. And also Nicholas Cage is great. And I liked the love interest in the movie as well!! She had a role to play in the story and felt authentic and genuine, which I appreciated!

Last Show: ok well the last show I watched by myself was Phineas and Ferb! Specifically, the episode with the Mardi Gras block party and then the one where Candace and Stacy compete in an obstacle course against Isabella and Ginger (omg wAIT ginger and Stacy are sisters and Isabella and Candace are GOING to be sisters mY HEART I—AH🥺). I hadn’t watched those episodes in forever, so they were really fun to revisit! I think the last actual show I watched was Kids Baking Championship or something, lol. (Those kids are AMAZING. So skilled!)

When i created this blog: November 2019! It was riiiight after the season 3 finale of miraculous aired and absolutely wrecked my emotions. I had some fanfic written that I’d never posted and had been thinking about making a tumblr/ao3 for awhile, and seeing the finale made me finally go, “.....you know what, yeah. The finale is aired, no more spoilers.....it’s time to make a blog.” So I did! And I posted my first fic! And I’m so happy i did :)

What Do I Post: a bunch of multi fandom stuff XD. This blog started off as 90% Miraculous, 10% other fandoms I like...but now it’s just kind of a hodgepoge of my favorite fandoms (with a focus on Phineas and Ferb, lol). I reblog a lot of posts, and then I post original stuff too! I write fanfic, nowadays for Phineas and Ferb but for Miraculous in the past (and probably in the future!), I draw art (mostly Phinabella art because I’ve been drawing them since i was 11 and it feels good to return to my roots), and OCCASIONALLY I will write an analysis post (I’ve got one in the works rn actually 👀), attempt to make a meme, or dip my toe into salt just SLIGHTLY before quickly backing away, lol. If I were to list the fandoms I post about in the order of how frequently I post about them, I’d probably say: Phineas and Ferb, Miraculous....and thennnnn everything else is pretty random and depends on the day, lol.

Sometimes I reblog ask games/prompts and get some asks for those (I’ve got so many prompts in my inbox I want to write/draw things for...ah it’s fine, I’ll get to it eventually😅), and sometimes lovely people will leave thoughts or nice messages in my inbox🥺💕. Why this url: it’s a music pun! When a song/section of a piece of music ends with a dominant chord resolving to a tonic chord (if you’ve read a certain fic of mine you should know allll about dominant and tonic chords👀🤣), it’s called an authentic cadence! There are different kinds of cadences, and authentic ones are my favorite. One example of this is “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” I also use this blog to be my authentic, fandom-loving self! So I like authentic cadences, and also, I’m Cadence and using this blog to be authentic! Woo! (And 18 is just my favorite number, lol) I’m glad I ended up choosing a name that doesn’t tie to a specific fandom becaaaaaause this ended up being a multi fandom blog!

Average amount of sleep: wellllll for the past week and a half I was sick so I was probably getting 9ish hours a night (because I would sleep in really late, lol). but NOW? In my immediate future? I suspect my average amount of sleep is going to go down because I’m really bad about staying up late even when I have to get up early😅. Hoping to be good about getting at least 7ish hours a night!

Lucky number: 18! But y’all probably already guessed that, lol.

Instruments: my voice, piano, ukulele, viola (but it’s been a HOT minute), aaaand i used to be able to play guitar but then I got a ukulele and forgot all the guitar chords. (I also dabble in songwriting! I primarily use voice and piano when writing music.)

What I’m wearing: my favorite sweatshirt (that was last night, rn I have on a tanktop), some leggings, and socks!

Dream job: I’m currently learning to be a teacher, and I LOVE teaching and working with kids so that is definitely a job I’m really excited about!!! I would also love to portray characters at Disney or something (well, maybe not at Disney because I hear they’re strict, but like....I want to be Rapunzel or Anna or something, that would be so fun). OR, I would LOVE to work in tv animation somehow, be it voice acting, writing scripts/music, and/or story boarding. basically if I could do what Dan and Swampy did for Phineas and Ferb/Milo Murphy’s Law, I would LOVE THAT. (Especially the writing music part. Getting to write music for established characters and get PAID for it would be SO COOL.!.!.!) Also I think it would be so fun to write Disney storybooks! Like, those books that are about Cinderella baking a cake or Ariel befriending a seahorse, stuff like that. Those brought me a ton of joy as a child!

Dream trip: I want to visit alllll the Disney parks someday😅. (Not right now because, ya know, Covid...but someday!)

Top 3 fictional universes I’d love to live in: 1. DANVILLE, PLS. Especially as a kid, I SO would’ve loved to hang out with Isabella and Phineas and the rest of the gang! Danville is so vibrant and unique and people are always randomly breaking into song there, that’s my kind of place! 2. Fairytopia (from the Barbie movies!) because I could be a fairy OR a mermaid OR BOTH and eat seeweed to breathe underwater even if I wasn’t a mermaid. Like, that’s the dream right there. (I’ve always loved mermaids and fairies, lol!) 3. Maybe San Fransokyo from Big Hero 6? All of the technology in that universe is really cool! And I would love to eat a noodle burger, lol .

12. favorite character to write about this year?

OK LOVE THIS! So, I have written 5 different main OCs this year and that has really broadened my spectrum of writing people with different personalities and such which has been more than fun! But, I have to say my favorite has been Natia Filipska/Agent Fidel.

She is my most complex character to date at the moment, with so many layers to her, so many past experiences that warped her into the person she is today, with loads of trauma, a level of depression she carries, and this aura of mystery still about her even 20 chapters in! There’s so much to her and what I’ve loved about writing her is that you may think you know it all, and then something else gets uncovered or you thought it was THIS but it’s actually THIS!

Her mind is so...I don’t even know how to describe it, but it’s so heavily complex and it’s makes her internal monologue so much fun to craft and write and her interactions with Easy are different(?). I’m not sure how to describe it but she meets them in Eindhoven and that was a first for me since no one had really written that perspective before! And she’s an Agent with HISTORY, MYSTERY, and only her Agent name to follow her. It’s been so much fun to right and after her fighting 5 years in war, I’d probably react the same way she does *I’m looking at you Bill Guarnere* LOL!

15. something you learned this year?

I answered this previously for JJ, but I’m happy to add onto it because it is so important! Love what you do. I think I’ll always preach that for fandom and for content creators everywhere - love what you do and nothing can bring you down. I really grew fond of writing even more so over quarantine and I feel it saved me from it, and I just grew to LOVE WHAT I DID!! And I am proud, truly so proud of myself for everything I have done this year. To me it doesn’t matter, how many votes, or comments or kudos (which is cool lol!) but this year made me realize, that if you love what you do, that’s what matters most! And I love what I do and I love Landslide, and I think it’s my best work to date at the moment and I’m just proud. Truly proud <3

25. a fic you read this year you would recommend everyone read

Hands down The Long Dark Bright by @basilone simply because it is so incredibly unique compared to others BoB fics! It’s in the Form&Void verse which Eva created and it’s absolutely fantastic!! It’s such a different take on BoB and I absolutely love everything about it!

I would say it was in some ways inspiring for the eventual connection of Natia Filipska and the personification of Death! And Eva and I have talked in length about her War and my Death and she’s been so inspirational and so receptive of my ideas for Death as a personified being and I’m so thankful for her!

I completely recommend it as a read for everyone in the BoB fandom and anyone who just wants a really really AMAZING AND COOL read!

bias type b: deep-voiced, bad boy (?) rappers who KNOW they’re hot (examples include: mx changkyun, oneus leedo) 

i’m pretty sure there are probably more distinctions but those are the basics of my two completely opposite bias types LMAO to this day, i’m not sure how i went from kevin to changkyun LOL

uhhhh idk what this means? LOL from context, i’m gonna guess best friendship among idols? in which case, i think monteen is definitely it LOL but i also adore svt’s and mx’s friendships within their respective groups as well like i believe all of them are soulmates and i just !!!!! love all of their dynamics. i also love love love ukiss’ friendship. those boys hang out with each other so much and so clearly love each other even tho they’re no longer in the same group ;u; basically i love my ults LMAO

AHHHHH LOL yes i have, several times! i met ukiss back in 2014 and got to take a picture with them (which is in my header), and i met kevin again during his concert last year! i got to talk to him and hug him too and it was just AH AMAZING HE’S SO SWEET. i ALSO got to go to a hi-touch with 2AM back during kcon 2013 and i also got to go to a hi-touch with day6 in 2018 (i chickened out of greeting jae even tho i really wanted to go like HEY WE’RE FROM THE SAME HOMETOWN) i ALSO ALSO got to hi-touch with a.c.e last year and HARU JONGIL ALL DAY-ed with chan which was actually so fun! anyways i think that’s about all the times i’ve met an idol? which, now that i look at it, is a lot LOL

oh man there’s no way i can count the number of groups. basically i can name all 2nd gen kpop groups, a bunch of nugu groups during 2.5 gen/3rd gen, any groups that went on the unit, and a fair amount of groups in 3rd-4th gen. i think around like 2017 ish? i stopped paying as much attention to new groups bc i got busy with college so i’m pretty unfamiliar with people nowadays. but honestly if you’re curious just throw a random group at me and i can try my hand at it LOL (also i know more boy groups than girl groups sorry ;;)

1. in the first official ukiss activity since hoon returned from the army, hoon hugged soohyun and then soohyun tried to kiss him in return on live broadcast, and jun just sat off to the side, covering his face bc he was too goddamn embarrassed LMAO (and then soohyun sulked on twitter later asking if hoon didn’t want to be kissed by him and hoon had to do damage control and say he did, he just got surprised LOL).... honestly ukiss is so wild i expected nothing less from them once they reunited haha (x)

2. seungkwan getting to live out his successful kissme dreams and dance bingeul bingeul (the song he auditioned with) with ukiss themselves. truly one of my favorite fanboy moments (x) (on a related note: i especially love this kissmecarat moment i technically started)

Episode 2: “In all seriousness, I think I’m just stupid.” - Mo

Oop, so Madeline went bye bye without hitch. And Mitch lol sort of popped off a bit which turned out rub some people the wrong way.

Well as long as it doesn’t endanger me, it’s ok. Except for the fact that Michael brought up my name to Julia as a potential target just because we haven’t had good talks.

Honestly tho, talking to Michael is hard because he’s like a robot or whatever. He really is a big blue robot or whatever.

Right now, I think I’m in a good spot to not be that worried on Michael. I’ve got an alliance with Jason and Julia. Though we haven’t solidified a duo or whatever, Jared and I are working together as well probably. I’m getting closer with Ali and Benji and I have had talks of watching each other’s back.

So far the potential targets if we lose are Mitch and Noah. I have talks with Mitch and I think he’s sort of a lose cannon but right now he trusts me I think so yeah. People are leaning towards Noah because he talks the least with people.

But I do hope we win immunity, UgH!! I blame Drew for not putting me on a dominating tribe grrrr where’s the monte Rosa winning streak power when you need it.

AHHHHHH BEEEP BOOOP BEEEP BOOP. This twist sucks. There is a power dynamic that is going on.  Julia, Ben , Ali , and I are in an alliance. Seperataly though. I don't think they are aware of how much strategy I talk with Julia (which is how we want it). It seems Ian Jason are the biggest threats since they are liked and have numbers. BUT I CANT TAKE THEM OUT BECAUSE OF THE TWIST AHDHEUEJIDKD. So it seems Mitch is the target but I can't let Ian and Jason stay too long otherwise I am fucked. It's only a matter of time before they realize what I'm doing and I become a target (maybe even next tribal). BEEEEP BOOP BEEP BOOP

So last tribal went super smooth. Madeleine bye girl, but you were a ticking time bomb and you needed to go. And you also threw MY precious name out to Jared. In my first confessional I said I didn't want you here, and I got what I wanted. Now we are on this round. A puzzle challenge for immunity? Seriously? This has me FUCKED up boo. But I don't know weather to worry or not about tribal council. Last round, after I stirred the pot a bunch for the Madeleine vote she had an elaborate plan to get Mitch out that I myself pressured her into doing. I let Mitch know about her plan and at tribal shit got interesting. He blew the fuck up on the girl. And this was beautiful. It put a target on his back. So I might just be in the clear. His name will definitely be brought up just for that. This tribe doesn't like crazy explosive people (lol me in crossroads). But I also have gotten so far on this idol board, I might have the chance to snatch that bitch up. Lets pray everything goes well for me!!!

I realize in hindsight that im coming off as really mean in my confessional, but it was just like,,, in the moment? Yk??? A more concise version - usually when people like JJ fly high and take control early on, people get mad and they crash and burn really quick. So as much as it might break my heart, I might have to let that happen.

Forgot to mention thoughts on relationship statuses atm: Jules says she trusts me Alex says he trusts me Mo says he trusts me JJ says he trusts me Tom is iffy but I feel like we have a stronger relationship? Especially if he’s closer with JJ (which I personally believe he is) he’ll feed him info that’ll go back to me I have a good relationship with evan for the most part ? We talk on and off but we’re both just busy lol Caeleb my grandson/angel and I have a great relationship - we talk about Pokémon a lot Willow and I are iffy but like a fun iffy And David is the most innactive, but we bond over not talking on calls sometimes

So first things first thank GOD we won immunity I was not getting good vibes from people so I think I would been gone. Anyhoot, I definetly feel like there is an alliance already formed between Tom and JJ for sure and then possibly Jones Jules and lets throw in Alex, Those 5 seemed to be so comfortable and non scrambly this past tribal that im SUS. Going into this challenge wowie a math puzzle, not good for me and it showed! I definitely think we are losing now so I really have to push the vote for like Evan maybe because a bitch wants to stay and he's probably more inactive than I. Listen guys I really want to be on more but as Rihanna said I just gotta Work Work Work Work Work Work so that's that on that. I just hope they let this bitch stay!

Okay so let's get INTO this:

I know that my biggest weakness is the fact that I don't do a great job at times of talking to people. Ever since Day 1 though I've been making a solid effort to speak to every single person on my tribe two or three times every day.

So let's start with the first reward challenge. I tried really hard because I wanted to make a good first impression challenge wise. I feel like if you put in a solid performance in the first challenge, your tribe will be more understanding if you struggle in a future challenge.

As soon as I saw the flag part of the first immunity challenge, I knew that we were going to probably lose it no matter what, and there was strategy behind me wanting to take it on. Everyone on my tribe was already hyping up the fact that the other tribe had that part in the bag, so I knew that if I put in a solid effort and lost, it would be seen as "He stepped up for us and tried hard even though he had no shot" rather than "he fucked it up for us". I had to step on Madeleine's toes and kind of be rude to make sure that I got to do the flag, but that didn't really concern me since nobody seemed to like her anyway?

Now when it came to the first vote of the season, pretty much the whole damn tribe told me they wanted to do Madeleine. I think the fact that she really didn't talk to anyone until she NEEDED to is what played a major part in her elimination. Honestly, I didn't really like her at all LMAO, so I didn't mind seeing her go home.

The fact that Madeleine was already basically screwed and confirmed to go home was great bc it gave me the opportunity to take advantage of that situation for myself and build up my trust/credibility with other people. Madeleine came to me just a couple of hours before the voting deadline with her plan to get a group of people to vote against Mitch and send him home. I basically just was like "yasss I agree that's a great plan sis omg you're MIND". I asked for a list of who her 'numbers' were before agreeing to vote with her, and of course with her being desperate, she had no choice but to comply. Sis sent me a whole ass list of her alleged allies, and I was gagged becuase literally all of them had been shit talking her and saying that they were voting her out ALL DAY.

I took that information to Mitch and let him know about her plan, which gained me some brownie points and trust building with him. And then I went to the people she listed and was sort of like "Hey, I just wanted to let you know that she's going around telling people who she thinks you're voting for". Overall, I think that Madeleine's messiness really benefited me and my connections with the tribe.

Following Madi's elimination, if I had to rank my tribemates in terms of who I trust most to least, it would work out like this:

1) Julia 2) Ali 3) Mitch 4) Jason 5) Ben 6) Jared 7) Ian 8) Michael

Julia, Ali, Mitch & Jason interact with me the most. They always respond when I message them to start a conversation, and they aren't shy about hitting me up and initiating conversations. Ben, Jared & Ian won't really initiate conversations with me, but if I message them first they'll always message me back pretty quickly and engage with me. With Madeleine gone, Michel is now the most difficult for me to socialize with. Our conversations tend to die quickly if I don't put in maximum effort, which is kind of annoying, but I'll keep trying because I relaly don't want to end up like Madi and have everyone vote me out because I didn't try with them.

I'm kind of nervous at the moment with this vote just bc nobody is really giving me names yet? I'm hoping that the reason why is that they are waiting for tomorrow morning and just don't want to throw out names too early. I feel a bit like Sandra in the sense that as long as it's not me, I don't care. I'm not sacrificing my game for ANY of these people. That's what I love about these TS orgs; these people aren't my friends and I don't feel bad at all about sending any of them home LOL.

I'm really hoping to form a more formal alliance soon, but I want to be VERY cautious. I'd rather keep it small with just a few people that I trust not to go throwing me under the bus and leaking shit. An ideal situation would be me, Julia, Ali & Mitch as a strong foursome, but I need to talk to them separately as individuals first and try to figure out if any of them are already in group chats/alliances before I try to pull them into a commitment. The last thing I want is to try to form an alliance with people that are already set in other groups.

Anyway, I'm just going to try to continue being super social and hope that it plays out in my favor. BTW this twist is evil and I despite it, but I'm just going to have to work with it and adapt.

Well, today we probably lost the competition. Considering I was 4x faster than my maze partner. Willow doesn't know how to do math. David probably hasn't done his competition.

But in the same light, Evan and I did really well in our competitions. So, who knows? I might actually like to lose a competition. It would be interesting to see if people's heads are actually where they say they are.

I’m so upset, I always get fucking challenges in games that I CAN’T do I don’t know how to do it. Then we talk about our scores and Evan was like oh I did it in a minute but I could of done it quicker if I had a mouse and I’m just like I SCORED 16 MINUTES AND IM FINE BECAUSE I DIDN'T SCORE OVER TWENTY MINUTES.

In all seriousness I think I’m just stupid. Like when I was doing the challenge I was confident. I always go in with a “I’m gonna do great!” attitude and then I hear about how well the others did and it’s like getting hit by a car.

I'd also like to give an update on how I feel about everybody in this game.

Alex seems like he's the person I'd like to work with most, but he also seems the most hesitant to commit to any kind of long term alliance. Jules & Jones are really difficult to tell apart, but they're both lovely people. They seem to be super open to working together, and they both compliment me out the butt hole. Tom is really sweet. He seems to be very easily woo'd by attention and compliments, which shouldn't be too difficult. He's like. Super cute and very fun to talk to. Mo is cool, we share a lot of the same sense of humor, lots of the same references. Its also super comforting that he's also on the same timezone as I am. Evan seems really cool. I feel awful about never responding to his messages on time, which could really hurt my game. Caeleb is so fuckin cute. Like he's just a wholesome lil bean, I don't know how he's going to survive in such a cutthroat game like survivor. Maybe that's his strategy, have everyone underestimate him. Maybe he's scary and spooky. ^ Y'all really got me out here talking like a tumblrina.. Anyways, onto Willow. We seem to have the same conversation everyday and it never really goes anywhere. Awkwardddd. For David, whenever he does go on call, he never talks, and it just becomes this awkward silence, he really brings down tribe morale.

It seems like me and Julia created the vote once again, and AGAIN it is not traced back to us. Michael is under the impression he created the vote (lol) which is good for us, no blood on our hands. The reasoning behind planting Mitch and Michael as targets into people's head was to see how they scrambled so we could flush every alliance. We now know Mitch and Michael are working together. If all goes well it should be unanimous (if we even had to go to tribal).

We didn't go to tribal the first time around so David got to stick around. I have an odd feeling that we didn't win immunity so tonight will be the actual chance to do so. I really do think it'll be him because he's so inactive and I think its best to keep our tribe active and playing rather than scrambling and weak. Plus I have talked to many people about it so it would be a pretty big blindside if it was someone else and I would be left aghast!

JJ is clearly an influencer in the tribe, and I think he likes me and wants to keep me around and I am perfectly fine being a number in his game. At least for the time being, because at this point that's a strong strategy for me. I think I am making real genuine connections that I can profit from, both strategically but also personally because we have some fun people here :).

okay so this is the end, hold your breath and count to ten. i'm going home. i can just sense it, its my time and i can feel it hap-hap-happenin'. the vote is theoretically noah, but everyone is going quiet so i think its me. my takeaways are that i was too wishywashy, and left myself vulnerable due to my poor social game.

So she really enjoys Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, George Strait, Brooks & Dunn..just to name a few. She likes some modern day country music but she usually sticks to the oldies and 90’s. I don’t really hear her listening to other genres at all really.

My dad loved 70’s disco and 90’s r&b. So some of his favorites are like Toni Braxton, The Beegees, Marvin Gaye, and his all-time favorite Earth, Wind, and Fire. Before he passed, he was trying to scrounge up some money to see Earth Wind and Fire in concert. I wish he could’ve went. He would also randomly listen to certain new r&b artists. lol
