TFW Your Sword Talks Less Than Isshin

Been thinking today how Zangetsu is one of the very few characters who potentially knows about both Aizen and Ywach from the very start. White was created by Aizen, and OMZ is OMZ. They know EXACTLY who killed Masaki and who’s currently treating Ichigo's whole life like a petri dish. Seems like a good setup for a fix it AU.

The Zangetsus being opposites to each other in ways that aren't necessarily bad have my heart.

Zan, a heat packet, being absolutely fine during the winter times while Getsu, an ice pack, absolutely miserable. Vice versa during the summer. Stealing warmth and cold from each other so they aren't dying during the changes in temperature.

If there were ever a change in clothing Zan would choose practical and formal clothes. Getsu? A stained oversized T-shirt and some shorts. Always managing to contrast color palettes without meaning to. Zan's tendency for darker palettes and Getsu's for lighter ones.

Communication styles. Getsu will be hard and blunt, preferring talking in order to get to the point faster. Zan doesn't talk much in the first place, preferring written communication in order to properly convey his thoughts on the matter. If they have to switch communication styles, Getsu is likely to write a simple 'deez nuts' while Zan will talk for 10 minutes straight or else not speak at all.

Zan as an overthinker, and Getsu as a no thinker. Zan having to logic and reason through virtually everything before coming to a conclusion. Getsu basing everything off his instincts and going from there.

Zan being the one who knows about 'human traditions' and Getsu having to be the one to learn about them. What's 'common sense' to Getsu isn't truly how it is in the Living World, and Zan has to remind him of how it usually is even if he himself things those human traditions are stupid.

Zan being "life" and Getsu being "death", with Zan having scars and blemishes and flaws that signify a life spent living and suffering but still continuing on while Getsu is virtually flawless, untouched by time in the everlasting eternity of a lost life.

I could probably go on about them, but this is getting long enough. Just... them <3.

Ordered some coffee after working out so I didn't fall asleep and could be productive but then I fell asleep RIGHT after I pressed the payment button lmao huft

And then I woke up from a nightmare in which I had a heavy mental breakdown. I remembered screaming in that dream to the point that I unintentionally woke myself up lol. But mentally felt better when I opened my eyes so I guess it's alright haha.

Still, I woke up hangry and dehydrated so I took my coffee, which was such a big mistake 'cuz my stomach immediately protested.

And now here I am on tumblr instead of studying haha sIIIIGHHHHHH

Ichigo may be the ginger one, but if the trio were cats (Hollow) Zangetsu is definitely an orange one. One braincell, chaotic ass bitch. (Quincy) Zangetsu is definitely a black cat. Ichigo? Calico mf.

Over the years, sword spirit without an owner became a legend among the shinigami, other zanpakuto, spirits and whoever else inhabited the spirit world and its surrounding areas. Over less than a hundred years the sight of the second person near him also becomes part of the legend.

They walk together. Until the end and further, because death never stopped Getsu from coming back, and Nova… Nova will follow Getsu into the Hell and back.

here’s an interesting theory about bleach

what if OMZ and white made up the name zangetsu (after hearing zabimarus name) because OMZ couldn’t call himself yhwach

and now imagining an AU where ichigos zanpakuto and fullbring are named yhwach and old man yama is furious

It's little moments like this where it just sorta hits that Ichigo is sixteen and you can't help but hate ppl like Urahara and Isshin a little bit for putting him in situations like these because he's terrified

The writing of bleach generally makes it easy to forget how young Ichigo and co. are but the SS invasion arc really puts it into perspective how little Ichigo knew and how unprepared he was for the shitshow that would become his life in the span of like two months

Also back to what I said on my Headcannon about his sensing ability like see, he was actually really good at sensing before he got his bankai and shiro took over control rather than Old man zangetsu because his shinigami/hollow powers were stronger than his quincy ones and OMz could no longer surpress his power, making it so that Ichigo was drowning in his own power and feeling as if he's being crushed by it because he's not used to it and that hinders his sensing ability
