Bookish Would You Rather
Thanks @onceuponabookblr for tagging me!
Have unlimited money for ebooks, or a $5000 Barnes and Noble gift card?
I can’t stand ebooks, simply because I get headaches reading a lot on computers and other devices, so it’s just not the best way to read for me. I also just prefer the feel of a physical book, so I’d have to go with the gift card!
Meet any deceased poet or J.K. Rowling?
I’ve always said I’d love to meet Shakespeare if I could go back in time, I’ve been obsessed for ages. I actually chose to study English Literature in highschool instead of English simply because we got to study Shakespeare!
Write the world’s most famous book, or visit the world of your favourite book for one day?
Definitely write the world’s most famous book (although it would need to be for positive reasons). I’ve wanted to be an author for as long as I can remember-as a kid I loved reading so much I thought that writing had to be the best job for me! And one day would probably not be long enough to explore my favourite book anyway!
Choose Team Will or Team Jem (from The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare)(insert the characters involved in your favorite love triangle here)?
I personally am not a fan of love triangles, so it’s difficult to talk about a favourite love triangle, but this is one love triangle I didn’t actually despise at least one of the individuals. I love both Will and Jem separately, as friends and with Tessa, I just prefer Team Will is all. But either way, Cassandra Clare handled this particular love triangle really well.
Experience Hogwarts in a very realistic and accurate virtual reality, or travel around the world for a year, at no cost?
Definitely travel! With Hogwarts I’d want the real thing anyway! But even though I’ve been lucky enough to travel a lot already, there’s still plenty of places I’d love to go, especially as a classics and ancient history student I have my eye on a lot of countries-Jordan is a must see as I’ve studied it a bit this year.

The Book Thief, Fangirl, and Six of Crows
these are literally the booklr Icons™ WOW
Burn: Fangirl - i’m jus here to say i don’t like RR (even though I actually love this book)
Read: The Book Thief - it’s been too long since i last read this.......... i need a refresher on the Pain
Rewrite: Six of Crows - i really am gonna say this for every ask that includes this one lmao but this would be a perfect series if Leigh just did representation correctly
Put three books in my ask.

2, 11, and 21?
2. Album of the year?
I know this came out last year, but I went to a Lumineers concert this year and all I could listen to is Cleopatra!! I would definitely go again… as long as I’m not surrounded by middle-aged parents this time :P
11. Something you want to do again next year.
I got to go to the Amalfi Coast this year for spring break, and it was absolutely breathtaking! I had so much time to relax and read. I’d like to travel to Europe again next year.
21. What’s something new about your place of residence (room, home, or general location) now vs the start of the year?
Hm, good question. Well, I had a platonic breakup (if that’s a thing?) with my best friend this year, so a lot of pictures of the two of us have been taken down in my room. But now my room houses my laptop, which has a ton of cool stickers from Redbubble it used to not have before.

Mid-Year Book Freakout Tag 2020
Thanks @bibliophilecats for tagging me! I love doing those! :)
Best book you’ve read so far in 2020: I have read some amazing books this year, but The Nightingale by Kirstin Hannah is one that still makes me feel so many things and it definitely is one of my favourite books of all time, I could talk hours about it tbh haha
Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2020: This is easy and goes to Heartstopper Vol. 3 by Alice Oseman, I couldn´t wait for it to be released and I was so happy when I finally got to hold it in my hands
New release you haven’t read yet, but want to: There are so many, but I´ll choose one I actually own so Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo
Most anticipated release for the second half of the year: There are a lot again, but I think the one I´m most excited for and that I have already pre-ordered is  Thirteen Storeys by Jonathan Sims
Biggest Disappointment: My biggest disappointment was definitely The Three by Sarah Lotz, I didn´t dislike it, but I just expected... more
Biggest Surprise: I re-read The Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker and I hardly remembered anything in it, so everything was a big surprise
Favourite new author (debut or to you): Mackenzie Lee, I´m just reading my second book this year (and in general) by her!
Newest Fictional crush/ Newest favourite character: Jamie from Lost Boy by Christina Henry
Book that made you cry: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, my god I literally sobbed a lot while reading this book
A book that made you happy:  Gmorning, Gnight by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jonny Sun, I knew I would like this book, but I didn´t think it would make my days so much happier, I had a smile on my face every morning and went to sleep with one every night
Favourite book to film adaptation you saw this year: Little Women! Loved this movie and I definitely want to see it again (and finally read the book)
Most beautiful book you’ve bought this year so far (or received): There are so many beautiful books I´ve gotten or bought this year, for example Circe by Madeline Miller, The Deathless Girls by Kiran Millwood Hargrave, The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu and so many more!
What books do you need to read by the end of the year? A LOT of books... I probably should make a list but I´d only cry so I ignore my tbr pile
I tag @utterlymealicebean, @paranoid--introvert, @myownlittlebookcorner, @pocketpen-inksplat, @onceuponabookblr, @singing-not-sleeping-beauty and whoever wants to do it :)

15 Questions for 15 Mutuals
Thanks to @the-owleryreader for tagging me! Sadly, I don’t have 15 mutuals yet so it’ll just be  15 questions for everyone!
1. Are you named after anyone?
Many people think my name is from Shakespeare, but it’s actually from Anne of Green Gables. Anne (with an E) always loved the name Cordelia and wished it was hers. My mum read the book when she was quite young and fell in love with the name too, and here I am.
2. When was the last time you cried?
The other night watching a video about dogs saving people, I like crying because it’s like a ritual release of emotions for me.
3. Do you have kids?
Nope
4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
I think I use it less than the average person in their late teens, but I will make the odd sarcastic joke here and there.
5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
Probably their hair, or their smile.
6. What’s your eye colour?
My eyes are blue
7. Scary movies or happy endings?
I like scary movies in the moment, but they leave me freaked for weeks so I’ll probably have to go with a happy ending. My absolute favourite is anything that’ll make me cry.
8. Any special talents?
I’m not entirely sure, I do theatre I guess?
9. Where were you born?
Singapore, which people don’t usually expect.
10. What are your hobbies?
Theatre, reading, I’m also trying to get into thrifting.
11. Have you any pets?
I’ve got a dog names Spring, she’s a silky terrier. My dad (I don’t live with him) has a malamute named Boris and recently got an Australian Shepard named River. I’m not sure if they count as mine or not.
12. What sports do you play/have played?
I am incredibly unsporty. I do minimal exercise. I’m trying to change that, as I’m what one may call “skinny fat,” and my lifestyle isn’t incredibly healthy. I also have to pick up an activity to fulfill CAS for my IB diploma. I’d probably say yoga, if that counts?
13. How tall are you?
Not entirely sure? Maybe around 170cm?
14. Favourite subject in school?
English! I’m also a big fan of theatre.
15. Dream job?
I’m not sure, I’d love to do Journalism but I’ve heard the profession isn’t very promising at the moment, I love acting but the only route you can really go down without risking having zero income is teaching, and while I’d love to go into teaching it’s the type of career that can only go in one direction and doesn’t really progress. I’m really unsure about what I want to do with my life, to be honest!
I quite enjoyed putting myself out there! I hope I can get to know some of the people I’m mutuals with through this, hope y’all participate!

share 5 little things about yourself that people might not be able to tell without seeing you in person, and tag a few people you want to get to know!
I was tagged by my girlfriend @shadowtearling (we're dating now. Shhh she doesn't know.)
People always say I'm shorter (5'5") than they expected and that my voice is higher/sweeter (usually expect an Alto).
I wear very little makeup (just brows and mascara) and don't shave.
I have plugs/gauges on the secondary piercing on my lobes.
I technically have prescription glasses but I don't wear them often. Usually just for fashion or video games. (I def needed them back in college though for reading distance)
You can kind of tell I used to have an underbite. My bottom lip protrudes just slightly more than my upper.
