Xdinary Heroes's Discography

Hello Fishies!! Today is one of my favorite bands : Xdinary Hereos. I love their music so much, and with the music I normally listen to in Kpop, they are like a refreshing glass of lemonade.

Disclaimer!! This is purely my opinion. If you disagree, that's fin, but be respectful. We all have our own taste, and we cannot fault each other for that.

Now with that out of the way, let's go!

If I had to give their Korean title tracks a rank it would be :

1.Break The Brake 2.Little Things 3.Test Me 4.Freakin' Bad 5.Haircut 6.Happy Death Day

When the first second of Break The Brake came on, I knew it was my favorite title track. It's like perfect and I will never not think it's one of the best songs released in 2023. Y'all do not come for me. Happy Death Day had me in a chokehold when it first came out. But as time has passed and they released more music, it sadly became the last on the list. I will say however that HDD being last on the list just shows how flawless their titles are.

If I had to give their Korean albums an overall rank it would be :

1.Hello, World! 2.Livelock 3.Deadlock 4.Troubleshooting 5.Overload

Ever since it's release, Hello,Word! has ALWAYS been a favorite of me from the group and in general. I personally believe it was the best album of 2022. Every single song hits just as much as the first listen and every listen after that. I could go on forever about my love for this album. While I think every album is amazing, one had to be last, and that sadly was Overload. There's nothing wrong with this album, I love it so much, I just find myself going to it the least out of all their albums.

Hello, World! Strawberry Cake - It's just so perfect and one of my fav Bsides in general.

Overload Zzz.. - She's just so fun and unserious. I love it so much

Deadlock Good Enough - It hits me in the gut so fucking hard.

Livelock PLUTO - I felt like I was floating on another planet the first time I heard it.

Troubleshooting Money On My Mind - I don't see enough of y'all talking about her. She is it. One of their best songs.

Just a couple extra things :

My least favorite song is Ghost. I have nothing against her. If it's is my least favorite, again, that's saying how good of a discography they have to me.

A song I wish I could hear again for the time is KNOCK DOWN. Specifically Gunil's bride on to the end.

Oh... I think the only one I can say for certain is the Xdinary Heroes one shot I did based of their debut single Happy Death Day. The song hits and, spoiler, I released that one on my birthday. It's really my own thoughts and feelings in that one, and shows how much the song means to me personally.

#17 "Free space– ask anything: Fav fic?"

Hm... if we're talking in regards to my own fics... I'd probably have to pick from each category I have >_< When it comes to my big ones, it's not complete yet but LØV3 is the one I am most proud of. It tells a story I worked hard to craft, and it's only recently hit the point where the whole idea stemmed from. I don't get much attention for it, but I love it nonetheless. As for mini series, Awaken hands down. I love WayV and that comeback was so good I just had to do something big with it. For one-shots, it's The Boyz' Drink It. I always say it but when this MV dropped I fucken CRIED cause I was so mad. I had the idea in my head in that moment but I couldn't just stay up and write it cause I had work in a couple hours and I never got to it until months later. I'm glad it had a good reception though. As for requests... hands down it has to be Sticker. I was already working on it but the fact someone came to my ask box with the request, it touched my heart. NCTzens know me so well uwu

But if we're talking about other authors, I adore @neopuppy's Mean Boys Club fic Focus and their work in general, just great ideas and great story telling. I also love @peanutpinet's works, and there's a certain Jaemin fic they haven't posted yet that I am so looking forward to! And for you my precious Star, I really love your Friends!? series and can't wait for more!

Yes! A million times yes! I would love to see what kind of story we'd make, and for who too! We have so many great boys to choose from and endless possibilities! We should totally figure something out and see what we can create together, I have no doubt it'd be amazing!

Last song: again? again! by xdinary heroes, this song is soooo middle school pop punk to me and i love it so much, the whole album is definitely one of my favs this year.

Last movie: our dating sim the movie, it flows even better as a movie tbh but i do miss the post credit video game sequences of them during high school!!! they were so cute!!!! it is also worth mentioning that i recently watched utsukushii kare eternal and promptly went feral over it in b's dms. it's a good movie.

Reading: besides stuff for class, i picked up the sun and the star by rick riordan and mark oshiro recently despite having never finished the trials of apollo lol?? nico has always been one of my comfort characters, he is the very definition of My Boy. i'm so happy he and will have their own book now!

Watching: only friends and dangerous romance, i was watching so many airing shows during the summer and dropped all of them besides the gmmtv shows and now i'm still only consuming gmmtv rip. i think only friends is my preference of the two, but they flip flopped in my personal ranking for a while.

Consuming: copious amounts of enhypen youtube content and fanfiction to fight off the ongoing post-concert depression, i miss them so much </3

Craving: a nap, and for my tummy to stop hurting. pls god.

trying new things

does anyone else have this thing where they really want to try something new, but they just don't have the energy to do it?

Example: One of my friends wants to get me into Xdinary Heroes, since back when I used to listen to kpop, DAY6 was my all time favourite group (no I literally loved their music, I'd shuffle play their entire discography and sing along to all the choruses that I memorised. I can't choose a favourite album but go give "Unlock" some love, and "Shoot Me: Youth Part 1" too omg).

That was a bit of tangent (I am always willing to talk about my fav DAY6 songs haha)

Anyway, my friend is telling me all about their music (Xdinary Heroes) and the style and the members, and I really really want to listen to their music but I cannot get myself to do it for some reason.

So, as I said my 1st kpop group was BTS. But I got into Stray Kids not too long after. Tbh I don't rly remember why/how I got into them, I just started seeing stuff on yt.

But the 1st ever kpop songs I heard, BTS "I'm Fine" & Svt "BOOMBOOM", I actually heard many yrs b4 then. I downloaded them when Google Play was still a thing lol. Idk, I was just never one to look into bands/artists I listened to.

stray kids is definitely my ultimate fav group, and chan is definitely my ult bias lol my second favorite group is ateez, and for them my main 2 biases are hongjoong and wooyoung, but san and mingi are definitely major bias wreckers. third is txt, and my bias is yeonjun. If you go by my youtube recap top 5, fourth is seventeen and enhypen is fifth, which is nuts because i definitely know twice and have listened to more of twice's discography than either of those groups, but I listened to fml a LOT as well as cheers and rock with you, rock with you was my third most listened song and the other 4 were all stray kids lmao. Enhypen probably got up there because i listened to bite me, chaconne and scarifice a LOT this year LMAO i really like some other songs by them, but those ones probably did most of the heavy lifting lol. I like seventeen and enhypen, but i feel like i don't know them or their music all that well, i can maaaaybe identify all of the seventeen member (i think i can confidently identify at least 10 lol) and i haven't really listened to a whole lot of their music. enhypen i'm pretty sure i know all of them, i think i might get sunoo and sungwon and jungwon mixed up sometimes, it's just because their names are similar lol versus like. twice i definitely know everybody and have listened to more of their songs, but i guess i didn't have some of their songs on repeat as much as some enhypen and seventeen songs this year? and my biases for twice are jihyo and momo. I'm also surprised xdinary heroes weren't in my top 5, i've listened to them quite a bit this year, i thought it would've been them and twice instead of seventeen and enhypen. i've had a hard time choosing my xdinary heroes bias but i think it's between jooyeon and o.de.

I also really like (G)I-DLE and my bias for them is yuqi, as well as p1harmony, and my biases for them are Keeho and Soul, though i'm not as good at keeping up with them... honestly, i mostly just actually keep up with stray kids and ateez, everyone else like i listen to knew music when it comes out and that's mostly it lol it takes so much time and energy to keep up anymore than that, i can't do it for more than 2 groups at a time, and even then, i still don't keep up with anyone as thoroughly as i do skz. Oh i really like xiker's too, i've listened to everything they've put out so far and really liked it, but i don't know literally any of the members so i don't have a bias atm lol

think i became a k-pop Stan around 2014 or 2015 too i randomly found svt through YouTube (it's the first k-pop group I ever stanned) but I was way too young so i didn't even know what k-pop was at the time 😭 then in 2016 NCT 127 happened and the rest is history.

Ooh we stan mostly the same groups though from ggs my favs are red velvet, twice, g idle, snsd and wonder girls I also love shinee, monsta x, got 7, BTS, exo, txt, enhyphen and 127 more groups (😭) i like bands like day 6, xdinary heroes and the rose

if you don't mind me asking how old are you hahah? i was 13 when i discovered kpop so i wasn't that old either😭 the first song i heard was wolf by exo though, so that was my first ult, but i've followed both svt and nct since debut! although i didn't listen to a lot of kpop from like 2018-2021 so i have a few gaps.
