Azul Headcanon: Catching feelings

I think at first Azul wouldn't realize he's catching feelings, after all, his interest in you and your likes and dislikes, the way he acts softer around you or the way he enjoys talking with you... that's just how he treats anyone who's a possible client or has some other use to him, right? It's just business, or so he would think.

It would take something unexpected to make him see that this is different, for example:

It's your birthday and you're so happy with the gift he gave you that you suddenly hug him. It's fast, but it hits Azul like a bomb. He's all stiff and embarrassed, but he quickly regains his posture and brushes you off. "Think nothing of it", he says. But he knows better now, and, inside, Azul's a mess. The way his heart is beating as if he climbed an entire staircase, the way he feels warm and flushed and nervous, the way he wishes the hug lasted longer... Oh no, this is bad, he realizes. It's too late for him. He's already down bad.

just finished reading all available parts of The King and the Mouse. took me the day to read and idk if its just cause delulu hours hit hard while reading or wtv but its the way that my heart absolutely swells with so much love. everything written so wonderfully its impossible not to love the story at all. god damn the way i had to pause like three or four times reading the last couple parts cause i was like silent screaming and lowk crying (my music did NOT help) while reading. anyways so far fhis has been one of my absolute favorite könig series that ive read. @day0walker what have you done to me. LITERALLY JUST DISCOVERED THIS BEAUTY AND THE CHOKEHOLD IT HAS ON ME. i have no way with words and as much as id like to explain more in depth just how much i love this story i dont know how. especially because its late af. but just know i think this story taught me what love is. LMAO

I was writing a larycent fic bc obviously, of course, and I thought of honey-like voice as descriptor for Larys, and I immediately go galaxy brain and look up if it was intentional (having never read the book myself) and- It WAS.

Alicent has been compared to a flower by Larys so many times now, with thinly veiled metaphors and framing with him plucking flowers, tending to them like a gardener waiting for harvest. He’s a bee, guys. Bees collect nectar from flowers to make honey, which are their life’s work and most prized ressource. The metaphor of milking Alicent for his own purposes is just- so fricking literal. 

As always, Larys hides everything he is in plain sight, and no one notices.

Bees dance to communicate… Larys CLUBfoot am I right??! 

Anyways this was your PSA that in a relationship, Alicent would call Larys honey while Larys would call her his flower <3

Edit: Awww it’s been confirmed by the cast to be a firefly so I wanna rectify my claim here that this was intentional, but you know what it’s fine this is still very cool

the funny thing about drawing robits at least for me is after i got the hang of it (pain in the ass) it actually becomes more fun than drawing regular humanoid anatomy because the geometry of it is just so much more… regular and intuitive like no Weird Muscle Curvature here! just orbs and cylinders

(anyway i recently remembered that theres a guy at my school who runs a printing station where you can print (among other stuff) stickers if you provide a design so guess whats my next wip)
