Previous chapter
The finale had arrived. The United States. The last race of this season, and Niki Lauda was ahead of you.
You were in the last few laps now, and though Niki had already won this championship with how many points he had, you were still determined to give a show for the crowd.
After all, all you needed to do was get a second place here to beat James for second place in the world championship.
For the first half of the season, James was confident in his Hesketh’s ability. It was why he had been so invested in getting you into the points as well, to fight with him against Niki. Yet it had backfired on him. As his car started to have problems in every race, Niki had stormed ahead to get first place and you were ready to snatch second place from him.
You were peeved to not get world champion for yourself, but not as upset as you would have been earlier in the season.
After the first picnic outing with Niki, he had asked you out again, then again, then again. It has almost become a tradition between the two of you. Whenever you arrive in the new country, you and Niki would go out somewhere for a picnic, a pub or a restaurant. Anywhere to spend some time together. Each time you tried to pay for your own meal, Niki insisted on paying each time. He didn’t need to say anything now. Simply he would pull up in his car, and you would jump in, or you would find him on your motorbike, and with some resentment, he climbed onto the back.
Those earlier feelings of anger towards Niki had started to morph. His egotism was still relentless and often he was grumpy more than anything else, but even with those annoying factors, you lived for the other side of him that would appear when it was just the two of you. The glimpse of his kinder, shyer side. He seemed to always put up a front around others, but when you got him on his own, it felt like pulling his mask away to reveal the vulnerable man beneath.
You could see him ahead of you now, speeding on the underside of the track to hold off his lead. Smirking to yourself, you pushed down on the accelerator and pushed forward to reach him. Niki saw you coming out the edge of his vision and pulled over, blocking your strip steam. Still, you held close to Niki, chasing him as you both passed over the beginning of the lap. There were only a few more left, and then that was it for this season. Determination burned through you as you moved to the side, and as expected, Niki drifted ever so slightly, narrowing down your chance of overtaking there. But with a jerk to the steering wheel, you pushed to the other side, which had now opened up for you.
You shot forward, narrowly getting past. Instantly Niki was on your tail, annoyed he had left a gap for you to get past. Hurling into the last lap, Niki kept seeking a way past, and you tried to the best of your ability to keep him at bay, but in one fleeting second, you pushed out too far and hit a patch of grass. It caused the car to slip slightly, and in the time it took for you to recover control, Niki was in front again, leading off.
Both of you circled around to the finishing line, and you watched as Niki pushed past where the man was waving the checkered flag, calming first place in this race and in the championship.
Slowly you pulled into your place in the pit and your team rushed over to congratulate you on second place. They cheered and danced around you, picking you up on their shoulders to carry you and celebrate. While you were inclined to join in with the celebrations, feeling an immense joy from doing so well in your first year in formula one, a feat not achieved by many. You couldn’t help but look over to the Ferrari garage. Glancing over at where Niki Lauda was also being carried, smiling and laughing cheerfully. For a moment, he glanced backwards, both your eyes catching each other. But then it was gone as his team pulled him away, ready to take him to the winner’s podium.
It wasn’t long till you were walking onto the stage before hundreds of fans cheering and shouting your name, You smiled and waved at them, stepping up to join Jame’s on the podium. He waved to the fans as well, but his lips pressed into a tight grimace, a heavy sigh that only you could hear leaving him.
“Perhaps next year!” you say optimistically.
With a plastered grin, James responded,
“I hope.”
There wasn’t time to talk to James further, though you wanted to. It was Niki’s turn to walk on stage, waving his hands and smiling widely, his lip curling over those precious front teeth. He hopped up to the stadium and stood still as his national anthem played out. His chest was thrust out and he held a satisfied smile on his lips as his gleaming eyes looked over at the fans. As if feeling your eyes on him though, he looked down at you. You flushed at being caught but he merely chuckled quickly and whispered to you.
“You put up a good fight.”
“You’ll have to watch out next year, I might just be able to beat you with all that I know now.” you whisper back, looking out over the audience and smiling to not raise suspicion.
Niki’s face straightened for a second though, the smile slipping from his lips as he watched you.
“Yes.” he muttered.
“It would be useful to know all about your…tricks.”
His smile came back in the next moment as they brought out the trophies and the champagne. Niki thrusted the trophy up in the air, waving it about comically as the crowd cheered. When handed the champagne, though, Niki was fast to pull the top off and hold it over your head, getting the drink over you. Quickly you hopped down, running off to the side in an attempt to remain dry but like a child, Niki followed after you determined to douse you.
That’s what caused you to be sitting in the garage an hour later, ringing the last few bits of the campaign out of your sticky hair with a towel you had found lying about. A wooden knock echoed in the room and you saw Niki leaning against the entrance of the garage, sunglasses on, a wreath over his shoulders and holding his trophy against his hip.
“I thought you would be out celebrating with your team,” you say, walking over to Niki while the corner of your lips tugged upwards. Your eyes flickered over Niki and a warmth flushed over you taking in how his world champion look.
“I have no time needing to celebrate with them. I’d rather celebrate with someone that I like.”
You grin, cheekily elbowing him in his side,
“Niki admitting he likes me. Never though I would never see the day.”
“Fuck off,” he laughed, pulling his sun glasses off.
“Well, it’s true; only a few months ago, you said yourself that you couldn’t stand me.”
“Don’t make me regret asking you out,” Niki shouts as he turns to walk to the car park, not sparing a glance back at you. You shook your head, chuckling under your breath then jogging to catch up with Niki.
He tossed his trophy in the bonnet of the car, now no longer caring about what he considered an ugly thing. The wreath soon followed. As the two of your drove off, your conversation turned for plans over the break before the next practise starts, which trailed off rather quickly when you both found out you two had nothing planned, then joking about making plans together. Then it turned into talk about the other drivers, to which Niki was very scathing while you rolled your eyes at what he said.
Eventually, he parked up at another fancy restaurant that had soft lights and leaves hanging along the walls, a red carpet out the front and a man waiting to let people in. Though you never really gave a care for where you ate, Niki was a man with an appetite and considered it vastly important to have a good meal, and after tonight he must want a celebratory meal.
The man at the front’s eyes lit up when he saw Niki approaching and with a giddy smile, lead the two of you to a reserved table, and then pulled out a notebook to ask for an autograph. Niki’s lips tightened, but he picked up the pen and quickly signed it.
Both of you were aware though of the silence that had befallen the restaurant as the two of you sat down, and the lingering eyes trailing on the two of you. Feeling your cheeks burn you glanced down at your lap while Niki huffed and crossed his arms. It wasn’t long before people started leaving their tables to come over to the two of you. Some simply wanted autographs which meant it was easy for Niki to get rid of them but others wanted to sit and chat with Niki, the new world champion. You could see Niki narrowing his eyes at the line of people appearing. His foot started tapping under the table and you shot him a look when he frowned and loudly complained as another person came over.
Eventually when the waiter’s realised the situation at hand they came over and scurried everyone back to their seats but the special moment of the evening had been lost for you too.
“Let’s leave.” Niki said pointly, standing up and tucking the seat under the table.
“But what about dinner?”
“We can find somewhere else that respects our privacy. Come on.”
You walked alongside each other, arms brushing as you both swayed. You two walked along the empty roads as dusk settled in and found yourself walking towards the end of the road which had a view of the coast before you. In silence both of you walked over to the gate, leaning against it and listening to the gentle lapping of the calm waves against the shore. The sea was mainly still, with the reflection of the full moon glimmering against it in the night. The atmosphere was serine and you closed your eyes to feel the fresh air brush against your skin, mellowing in the feeling.
“I remember the night.”
Niki’s face turns to glance at yours, but he doesn’t say anything.
“I eventually remembered everything, what I did, what you said, the slap… the, well….”
Niki hums, sucking on his front teeth as he looks out over the sea again.
“I forgive you for what you said. I know you didn’t mean it, not really. And I’m sorry for what I did as well; I should know you’re not really comfortable in that sort of situation, and I never asked you how you felt and if you even liked me, you know, and that’s fine that you don’t but-”
As you continued to talk, Niki leant forward to grasp your forearm, twisting you to look at him. Without a moment's hesitation, his lips were pressed against yours. Like so long ago you tasted that sweetness again, the softness of his lips as his eyes fluttered shut and his spare hand snaking around your waist to pull you closer. As your heart felt like it might burst out of your chest, you closed your eyes as well and allowed yourself to be overwhelmed in the feeling of Niki. His lips moved ever so slightly against yours. You could feel how his front teeth jutted out and pressed against your lips but the sensation of them sent sparks to your core.
You two held each other tightly, melting into the kiss as the air glided over you and the moonlight showering you in lightness. When you pulled away to steal a breath of air, your eyes locked onto those warm brown eyes that were already looking at you. They were softer, not the usual harsh exterior, and a little smile showing his front teeth appeared on his face.
A strand of hair fell down in front of your eye as you observed him. He unwrapped his arm from around your waist and brushed the hair out from your eye, tucking it behind your ear again. His hand lingered against the side of your head for a moment, the warmth of his skin comforting till he pulled away again.
“Niki?”
“I was fed up of hearing you apologising.”
You huff, shaking your head, glancing away from Niki, but that made Niki frown, He placed his hand on the side of your cheek and pulled your face to look at him again, his eyes flickering from your eyes to your lips.
“I… liked it when you kissed me at the party. It was what I wanted for, well, a while. It just wasn’t how I imagined it. Not at a party”
He sucks on his front teeth again, now looking away as his cheeks burned.
“I’m not good at these things. Plus, to date, someone as a racer is danger in itself. For both of you to be racers, that’s madness and irresponsible.” Niki lists off as he looks away, but as he slowly stops talking, he turns to look back in your unwavering eyes.
“But, if you’re willing, I would be honoured to date you.”
“My God,” you chuckle, looking at Niki as he licked his lip and flickered his eyes from the ground to you again.
“A poet!”
You lean forward, wrapping your arm around the back of Niki now to bury your fingers in those soft, curly brown locks. You pull him forward, pressing your lips onto his to give him the answer he wanted.
Perhaps it was madness, crazy and bound to end in disaster. The way your relationship had started was rocky at best and there was still the mutual competition between the two of you. Yet you found the thought of it exciting and, as your lips pressed against Niki’s again, your body flush against his, nothing felt more right.

It was @mulletknives idea, I loved it, then @ilikechocolatemilkh encouraged me and I wrote it c:
Warning: blood mention, blood usage, wounds
The sweet I'm talking about is valid, it's called Hematogen. They sell it in our pharmacies and it often sells as candy to the kids. It's supposed to help with your blood problems. In the 20th century it was made with bull's blood, but now they prepare it with replacements
Sweets
Tumblr media
- You know the truth. You have known their secret for a while now. Of course they haven't told you. They were too scared for that, thinking you would leave. So... It just happened that you found out differently.
- It was a compilation of everything. You took the bag of dirty clothes from the cave to wash it at home and found blood on Paul's and Marko's clothes. You were so worried you almost rushed back to the cave, but then your brain suddenly turned on. There was no rips in clothes, it... Wasn't their blood?
- You watched them closely for a week then. They went on some of the nights away, sometimes leaving one of them with you. But then the boy, who was with you, went away when everyone returned, smelling like sea, sometimes even wet. They ate very little and not very healthy to be so strong. There was no problems with them after their roughhousing or any accidents. They never fell ill. They went out only at night. They smelled and heard things you couldn't and they could mess with people brains, it was too obvious.
- And finally when you stayed at their place and couldn't fall asleep at day, you wondered into some small path, which lead into the... Cave, where they were sleeping. Upside down.
- You hadn't seen them for couple of days after that. You thought very hard. They probably killed people, but... They were still them, your four adorable but strange boyfriends. And what about their... Meals. You preferred to think that it was only a meaning to survival. Two parts of you fought. You should have run away, but you didn't. The boys were a solid part of your life. So you got something to justify yourself for your disappearance and returned to the boys.
- So, you know. You decided not to have a talk with them yet, but you know. You tried to bandage your accidental cuts, to be a little bit quieter (you didn't know a lot, obviously, but you supposed they had a better hearing and everything else).
- The other thing you know - they always gifted you something. Paul loved to get you bracelets and little trinkets (now you hoped that he at least stole them from living people). Marko always won you the biggest plushies. It was a gift to get a hug or anything like that from stoic and calm Dwayne, plus he knew what you liked in literature, so sometimes he gave you books (with love letters that just melted your heart). And David, it seemed, knew all about you, he gave you anything you just thought you liked or something you would use for your hobbies, like recipe books or new cute kitchen things.
- But you didn't gave them a lot. Of course, there were little things here or there, bracelets, or necklaces, patches, but... Nothing big. They were with you through every hard moment, they gave you everything. And you wanted to give them something equal in return.
- It is when you are reading a book about cooking. You find out in the line of "Interesting facts", that earlier in the history some tribes and even more civilized countries would sometimes use blood as eggs replacement and something else. The thought is risky, very dangerous, but... After long thought process you decide it is at least worth a try.
- You are afraid to hurt yourself too much, so you start with baby steps. Firstly you add only several droplets to the cookie dough. It doesn't change the colour, it even helps the texture. The taste... You don't dare to try and eat them. At first look it seems as normal cookies, so... You give it a try.
- It's a success. Paul is the first one to have a bite and he almost grab the rest of them all to himself, but Marko quickly fight him for it. They all like your cooking, but by the looks of it, this batch they like the most. Though... It seems they don't quite catch the wind of it.
- So you try again. Now with muffins and a little more blood. You wait a little for the cut to heal before going to the cave.
- It's early evening, you know they are still asleep, so you wait for them. The first one to come out is David, so you offer him couple of muffins for a "breakfast". He always claims he doesn't like sweets, but he tries one for you. Then he eats the second one. He looks strange at you and at the third muffin in his hand.
- What's in that?
- Secret ingredient I wanted you to try - has he finally understood? David sniffs the muffin, he looks like he is in deep thoughts, but...
- You brought us your food! - Marko ruins his train of thoughts by scream, rushing past him and battling with Paul for another one. David doesn't say anything else this evening about it.
- Needless to say, the muffins are gone in a matter of minutes. But you still don't know whether or not they understood. This angers you a little bit.
- And then the Accident happens. The bowl with cereal slips from your grip and shatters. and of course, you try to gather the shards and get a deep cut. By that time you are used to cut yourself a little... So instead of cleaning the mess and bandage the wound, you take an empty jar and pour your blood into it. A little more and they would understand, maybe that's the reason. A little more and at least they would show you the notes they know. Maybe you are crazy and they aren't vampires? Then a little more just to be sure.
- You are exhausted and swaying when there is no more blood to freely pour. You hand hurts like hell and only now you think of helping youself. With trembling hands you clean the wound and put a bandage. Then clean a mess as well as you could in your state. You don't go to the boardwalk this night. You've done this before, so guys shouldn't be worried. But you know, it's only for two nights. More - and they would come to you themselves. So you take that time to think again about everything.
- At last you decide to give it the last try. In the same cooking book you read about the medicine, that has become also a desert with time. It is really hard to cook, but you decide to try anyways. Now the companies are producing it with different ingredients, but back in the days the main thing in the recipe was... Animal blood. Now you have a jar of your own, so you have nothing to lose, except for a lot of time. In the meantime you of course go to the boardwalk and had fun with boys, so they wouldn't be worried.
- After almost a week you are done. The final products look like chocolate bars, but you know what's in there with the usual baking ingredients. You are nervous and it takes you another three days to gather up enough courage.
- You made us sweets, again! - Paul meets you with wide smile at the bordwalk. Him and Marko have gone out to have some take out and have been waiting for you to take you to the cave.
- We were missing them, what's that now? - Marko tries to peek into the packet, but you shoo him away.
- You'll see, - you smile a little nervously. Blond duo distract you pretty well on the road to the cave, but you are still nervous. Maybe you are wrong and you are feeding your normal human boyfriends your blood? Maybe it's you who are crazy? Well, you're gonna find out today. If you're right, they gonna react, if not - well... People used it as medicine, it's no harm, right?
- You look stressed, princex, - Dwayne greets you at the entrance, kissing you on cheek, while both blonds speed to the cave with food. - Are you alright? - you just nodd and let him lead you down the stairs.
- Paul and Marko are already on the couch, hiding their impatience very poorly. David waves for you to get closer to the wheelchair and kisses you with a smile.
- Smells good. What's in there?
- I... Experimented a bit, - you say quietly. You take out the chocolate bars on a plate and put them on some kind of a table. Marko takes the first one and instantly shoves it in his mouth.
- Hey, I wanted be the first! - screams Paul. But Marko looks like he can't hear him. He's frozen, chewing on a sweet very slowly. - I'll have two then! - the tall blonde takes two bars and puts them in his mouth.
- Baby... - Marko is unusually quiet. - What's in these?
- Some chocolate... Sugar, a little bit of eggs, different things, - you answer with a nervous smile. Dwayne furrows his brows at this and takes one for himself and for David. They only smell them, not tasting yet.
- Things? - Paul is now frozen too, but is chewing on the third one. He's having a brain circuit, for what it looks like.
- Things, - you repeat even more quietly. It is even more like a whisper. Now you know you aren't crazy. But what if it tastes badly and they don't like it, that's why they react like this? - What, they smelled badly or what? - you chuckle nervously. - They should taste like...
- Blood, - David ends your phrase, looking at you intensely. You sigh and return the look, trying to keep yourself composed. - How long do you know?
- Several months, - you rub the bandage on your arm, hidden by the jacket. It has been healing, but very slowly and itch has become a part of your life. - I know I should have said earlier, but I didn't know how and then decided to give you something.
- You knew about us for a several months. And you fed us your sweets with blood? - David continues as if trying to follow your logic. You nod.
- I thought you would like it. I have never given anything big to you, only small things, and I wasn't sure whether I'm right or wrong about who you are, so I thought I would check, but you didn't seem to notice, so I added more, but you still didn't taste my blood. Then I find this recipe and...
- This is your blood?! - Paul is unfrozen now and looking at you in shock. You look back at him and shrug nonchalantly.
- Whose else, do you think I cut people for a cooking? - you chuckle. - And I know, I should have asked, I should have tell you, I know it's not good, it's far from the recipe, I don't even know whether or not it's good, as I haven't tried it obviously, but...
- You are interrupted by Marko, throwing himself onto you. He hugs you tightly, pressing his face in your shoulder. Paul follows him, kissing you almost hungrily. You kiss him back, though a little bit surprised and put your hands on his shoulders, trying to get him away from you.
- It was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted, - Paul breathes out. You notice behind his shoulder that Dwayne is trying the sweets. David has already had one, now taking another one.
- I don't understand why you're so affected by this, I mean, you eat it almost every day and...
- You say that? - David scoffs. - You didn't run away when you found out the truth, and we'll talk about how - later. You didn't confront us. You gave us the biggest gift you can ever give to us. And You don't understand?
- We'll tell you everything about true meaning of your gift. But knowing you cut yourself to do such treats for us... - Dwayne says, coming closer. - Just promise you wouldn't hurt yourself so much anymore for this, ok?
- It was an accident... - he looks at you sternly. You sigh and smile. - Alright, I promise, I would talk to you first.
- Good. Then let us show you how grateful we are, kitten... - David smirks. Another thing to know. You are in for it.

"Couldn't you have gotten a cadet to do this?"
You raised a sharp brow at the man, trying to keep yourself from flipping his desk over. "Would you have yelled at them like you just yelled at me?"
The man's grey eyes didn’t meet yours, but there was a scowl on his face. Despite his steely eyes, he didn't say anything back. Instead, he pursed his lips and turned back to continue his paperwork.
You huffed in an attempt to ground yourself after being yelled at for the past two minutes. You took a sip from your own cup of the tea you had prepared for him, letting yourself savor the taste.
"I don't understand." you said, tasting the earthy, black tea. "You said it was too cold last time, so I made sure it was extra warm. What's wrong with it? Is it too sour for you? I only added a few drops of lemon this time."
Levi remained silent, but you stood your ground, tapping your boot against the pavemented floor as you waited at his desk for an answer. You wouldn't let him win, not this time. Day after day, it seemed like he only grew ruder and ruder.
Your dislike for Levi Ackerman started the day you met him. He was still just a soldier when you joined the Survey Corp, and it wasn't long after that he become Captain.
He was mean, and he never seemed to care about anything, but God forbid you make a reckless move out in the field. It was as if all hell broke loose if you used a bit too much gas when slicing the nape of a Titan's neck.
"Not everyone is Humanity's Strongest." you had spat at him when he scolded you on the way back to the walls. That only earned you a glare, seeing as Hange managed to secure your safety. If it weren't for them, you were certain you would've gotten stuck with stable duty for a month's end.
You were glad he was nice to them, at least.
At some point, you got promoted to Captain as well. One would think that since you shared the same rank, he would grow warmer to you, but that was another one of your mistakes.
Everything about him rubbed you the wrong way, from his disagreeable manners to his awful way of speaking to soldiers. And, it was your disdain for him that got you stuck in this mess.
"A cadet could've done this." Levi stated again; you felt like you were being patronized. He raised a brow at you, holding the teacup in his hand. "A cadet could’ve made better tea than you.”
"Obviously not, Captain." you threw back sourly, snatching the cup from his hand. "A cadet could not have done this because if I hadn't interfered two weeks ago, who knows what you would've done to the poor man. And, all he did was make your tea wrong!”
Levi blinked at you, appearing bored with your conversation. "If you hadn't interfered, that soldier would be back with those good for nothing Military Police Officers doing what they're best at."
You gritted your teeth. "And, what are they good for, Captain Ackerman?”
His brow twitched slightly. “Absolutely nothing."
You let out a bitter laugh, placing the white ceramic teacups back on the tray you had brought in. "Now that you say it out loud, that reminds me a lot of someone I know."
"What an awful way to talk about yourself.” Levi threw back with ease.
The urge to roll your eyes at him was weighing on you, but you were stronger than the immaturity he seemed to bring out in you. "Captain, you must be growing old if you've already forgotten we're the same rank."
Your decision of keeping yourself calm in his presence payed to be of use when you noticed the slight pause in his pen strokes at your words.
But, you were well aware of how trustworthy Levi was in the sense that you knew he could always come back with something even worse than what he's told you before.
"If you were of any use, you would know what's wrong with your tea. I'm sure even King Fritz could tell good tea from awful tea, and he's the most useless of them all." Levi told you, pen moving over the papers in front of him swiftly.
"He could probably also tell a grown man from a spoiled brat," you told him, taking the tray with you as you left his office. "But, you make even that task seem impossible."
You had to stop the triumphant grin from growing on your face when you heard his faint scoff from the other side of the wooden door.
Even if you managed to snag the last word of that argument, it didn’t feel as good as it usually did. The only reason you involved yourself in Levi Ackerman’s nightly tea was because 1) you didn’t like the way he spoke to the poor soldier who got stuck with job of handling it, and 2) Erwin asked that you try and be a bit nicer to your fellow captain.
You only did it to keep your job, really, and you would never let your Commander think less of you, even if he did favor Levi. Even Hange had tried to coax you into not letting The Ackerman’s sharp tongue get to you, but that didn’t seem to work.
Levi and you would never be friends, if that’s what Erwin meant when he pulled you aside at supper a few nights before. It was a lie to say you didn’t admire the man’s impressive skills, because you did.
But, admiration and respect were two separate things.
The two of you were jagged edges of broken glass that didn’t fit together, and that was perfectly fine. You didn’t mind being Levi being a sharp piece of glass, just as long as he kept his corners to himself and far from you.
Erwin, as observant as usual, caught on to the solution to your problem, and he even made sure you and Levi would rarely ever cross paths when the Scouts were out on an expedition. The two of you worked on opposite sides of the formation.
The only time you would ever work together would be if there were no other options, but both of you were reliable in your own senses: him with his... whatever he called it, and you with your wits.
You didn't mind being farthest from him, and if it were up to you, you'd go even farther.
“Hey, you got new glasses.” you stated, noticing the new pair of brown frames that Hange wore the morning as the Scouts waited for the signal to begin the expedition.
“Oh, don’t remind me.” they said with a frown, holding the glasses in their hands. “Last night, Moblit and I were doing some research, and someone must’ve stolen my glasses because I couldn’t find them this morning.”
“Stole? Isn’t that a big accusation?”
They let out a hearty laugh. “It is! That’s why I’m saying it!” Hange replied, golden eyes widened at you in exasperation. “I’ve been stuck with these, and they’re too big for my face. All they do is fall off.”
“So maybe don’t wear them?” you wondered as you caught a glimpse of the dark head of hair you knew too well. “What’ll you do if you lose them out in the field? Better safe than sorry.”
“I wish, but I’m as blind as a bat without them.” Hange reasoned with a sigh before quickly composing themselves. “But, now that you mention it, I never did mind a challenge.”
The smirk growing on their face was one you didn’t quite like. Before you could talk some sense into them (if that were even possible) the signal went off to begin the mission.
They gave a wide smile and a thumbs up as a good luck token. "Don’t do anything crazy!” you called out when the two of you parted ways, taking your squad with you. “I mean it, Hange!”
Hange waved you off, charging in faster in their horse. It was up to poor Moblit to chase right after them.
Your squad remained close together for the majority of the mission. There wasn't much to do on your end of things, which was a relief. At some point, you decided to stop for a quick break before pushing forward.
If you were able to see five mintues into the future, you would never have let your squad talk you into taking a lunch break. Just as you were relaxing a bit, there was an Abnormal coming from the thick trees.
Your sense of smell wasn't as skilled as Miche, and if it weren't for one of the younger cadets on your squad who had a keen sense of hearing, you all would've been Titan food.
It didn't take long for you to spring into action, your squad following suit. You made sure to use the plans Erwin had issued out on previous Scout meetings.
When the Abnormal finally made it to where you and your squad stopped, the beastly creature managed to catch one of your soldiers in midair. As the young boy was raised in the air, his stomach couldn't contain his recent lunch.
Gravity works in wonders, you thought when his earlier lunch fell onto you with a splat! You couldn't blame the poor boy; it was better upstairs than downstairs. As terrible a feeling it was to have chunky vomit all over you, you knew it would be as even worse feeling if the boy died under your care.
Your squad got to him before any damage was permanent, at least physically. When the killing blow was done, you tended to your soldier. He muttered out apologies for having thrown up on you, but you were merely in the line of fire.
"It's okay, Connie." you reassured him after pulling off your green cape that had been soiled in aid to shield you. “I’d rather it be your lunch on me than your organs.”
You ordered that he ride with your other cadet, Sasha. He let out a pained laugh at your words, leaning against her on her horse. She scolded him for “wasting so much food,” to which lead to their silly banter, which you didn’t mind as long as they were safe.
As unfortunate as it was, that incident wasn't the last of it. There wasn't much time between Connie getting his ribs crushed by a Titan and the numerous amount of red flares that were being shot into the air.  The amount of red powder in the sky was enough to cast a shadow of worry over you.
By the time your squad made it to where the red flares had been signaled, it was a mess. Abnormal and Pure Titans were ambushing the rest of whatever was left of the Survey Corp. Your squad wasted no time in following your orders as you made a beeline for the trees where a group of Abnormals were huddled together.
When you finally got a good look at the scene in the forest, your sight was met with Titan smoke and blood of fallen comrades. It was a disaster, as it always was. But you knew, where there was smoke, there was definitely fire.
And, that fire was Humanity’s Strongest Soldier.
He looked ablaze, nothing but a flash in the distance. Slicing Titan limbs as if they were merely flowers in his way, Levi Ackerman was kicking ass. It was in moments like this — where he looked like the answer to all the prayers of the people inside the walls — that you wondered if you truly hated him all along.
“Section Commander!” Moblit cried, chasing after Hange as they swung on the highest tree of the forest. It seemed as though they forgot all about how loose their glasses were as they did a number of twirls in the air. His voice was enough to snap you out of your trance and assist your fellow comrades.
You managed to fight off three Pure Titans and two Abnormals for what seemed like forever. It might’ve been even worse if not for Connie Springer’s lunch all over you that acted as Titan Repellant.
Perhaps you would tell Hange of your new discovery, but every time you managed to get close to them while fighting off the Titans, all they did was badger you with questions upon questions.
“Are you sure you haven’t you seen them?!” Hange cried for the fifth time, eyes squinted at you from their branch opposite you. Moblit was fighting off a creepy Abnormal with ugly teeth a few feet from you.
“No, I haven’t! And, didn’t I tell you your glasses would fall if you took them with you?!” you shouted back from your place on the tree before taking a breath to try to slice the neck of your second Pure Titan. “Go back to the wagon, Hange, before you get yourself killed!”
They huffed and puffed, but they let Moblit guide them to the wagon to wait until the rest of the Scouts could find a moment to retreat back to the walls.
After finally slicing the nape of your final Titan, you looked over to where you had last seen Levi. Only, he was nowhere to be found. A panic set in when you couldn’t find any sight of him.
“Captain?” you called out from your place on a tree branch where you were catching your breath. You squinted your eyes to get a farther look, but it didn’t help that much. “Captain Ackerman, are you there? Do you—”
But, that’s when you felt a jostle of wind hit your back. You turned quickly to see the dark-haired man swinging through the trees, holding an unconscious Oluo.
You followed him, figuring if you took his squad member off his hands that Levi would have a better chance of taking down more Titans. Maybe even with a man who weighed far more than himself in his hands, Levi could still have a better chance than you.
“Captain, I’ve got him. I’ll take—”
But, Levi wouldn’t budge. It was like he wasn’t listening to you, and you didn’t know if it was by choice or coincidence. You huffed and rushed quicker to help him in carrying Oluo.
Maybe it was just your luck, or maybe it was just his, but right before you managed to reach him, a Titan’s jaw came from below him, wide and ready for lunchtime.
There was nothing for him to do, not with his hands full. Surely he knew that from the way his grey eyes finally broke through from that awful void he’d placed you in, the one where all you ever got from him was scoldings and insults and cold stares that often made you wonder if he actually did hate you.
And, for the first time, you saw panic flash through his grey eyes, his life flash before his eyes.
“Levi!” you cried, using the rest of your ODM gear’s gas to catch up to him. You knew if he were to survive such an event, he would scold you for wasting your gas on an old lump like him.
But, for once, Levi had something to say about you that didn’t regard your incompetence to make decent tea or your recklessness that spurred you to use all your gas just to save him and the bullheaded, baboon by the name of Oluo.
It was your astonishing speed.
You got to the two men right before the great wide jaws of the Titan could snap closed and swallow the three of you for its meal, which Levi had to admit (but probably never would) was quite impressive.
“Shit!” you hissed out when the three of you landed on another tree branch. As quick as you got to the branch was as quick as Miche was to come and ensure your safety, slicing the Titan’s nape with ease.
Oluo was still unconscious and a little bloodied up and battered, but he was safe.
“What the hell were you thinking?!” Levi yelled, voice slightly hoarse from everything that had just happened. His hair was a mess, and you held back a laugh at the sight of him. “Why— why would you? I mean, what— and, why do you smell like—”
“A thank you is perfectly fine, Ackerman.” you coughed out, catching your breath from the overexertion you just forced yourself through. Carrying two grown men was tough, especially when it was between life or death. “As for the smell, one of my soldiers threw up on me.”
Levi blinked at you, his expression consisting of disgust and confusion. “What?”
“My soldier. He threw up on me earlier.”
“I heard you the first time.” he told you, blinking quickly as if it were going to grant him some clarity. You didn’t know if his confusion was from your act of saving him and his squad member or from not knowing what to say to you after.
He looked funny, with his hair that of a bird’s nest and his cheeks flushed pink.
“Did you hit your head on the way down?”
“W-what?”
“Your head? Did you hit it?”
“No, I-I’m fine.” he scrambled upright, finding purchase on the unconscious Oluo’s shin. Your eyes flickered to where his hand was placed, and he snatched it right off immediately, burning a deeper shade of pink.
“Oh.” you muttered, holding back a chuckle. There was no way Levi was without a concussion, not with the way he was acting all of a sudden: stuttering and turning pink on you. It was a wonder you caught up to him before he collapsed.
“Are you sure you’re okay, Captain?” you asked again, fixing your uniform before getting to your feet. You wobbled a bit; Levi raised a brow at you. “You look sick. Why don’t you sit in the injury wagon for a bit on the way back? Just in case.”
He waved you off, standing on his two feet as well. You didn’t want to cause a fight, not right after what had just happened and not outside the walls, so you decided to say nothing about his seeming concussion.
The two of you lifted Oluo off the ground, blood seeping from the side of the man’s mouth. “Is it his ribs? Was it an Abnormal? They were awful today.” you questioned, looking to Levi for answers.
“He bit his tongue, again, before ramming into a tree.” Levi told you, averting his gaze from you as he shifted the man against his shoulder for a better grip. “He said something f-fell from the sky.”
You nodded, letting yourself chuckle. “What could it’ve been? Bird shit?”
Levi shrugged at your words.
He was far too quiet for your liking. Maybe he did have a concussion. It wouldn’t be good if he rode back like that. Perhaps if you spoke to Erwin or Hange about it, one of them could convince Levi to get checked out once you got back to the walls.
The two of you managed to get back to the rest of the Scouts safely. You helped Levi placing Oluo in the wagon with the wounded and the fallen while everyone else was getting accounted for.
All the while, Hange was trying to persuade Erwin into letting them form a search party for their glasses that had fallen while they were swinging on the trees.
Though you were straining to listen to their conversation, you were more than certain that Erwin would never allow such a thing, but you had to admire Hange’s efforts, as fruitless as they were.
“Thank you.”
You snapped your head to Levi.
He refused to meet your gaze again, busying himself with readjusting his soldier’s cape. If not for the obvious step into uncharted territory between the two of you, you would’ve commented on the rosy blush he adorned.
Suddenly, you were overcome with a laughter, waving him off with your hand quickly. “I was just joking about that, Captain. Sorry, I don’t mean to laugh, but I’m just surprised you actually—”
He scoffed, the expression on his face shifting to one of impatience. “Don’t be a brat. Just take the compliment.” Levi huffed out, visibly annoyed with your chatter.
A look of shock overtook your face. “Oh, so you’re complimenting me? Why didn’t you just say so, then?”
“Oi, that’s not what I meant—”
“No, it’s fine. I heard you, loud and clear.” you interrupted, smiling widely at him. “You’re oh-so very welcome, Captain Ackerman, and if you ever need me to save your ass again, you know where to find me.”
Levi opted to say nothing back, merely shaking his head at you when you gave a lazy salute and started back to the other side of the formation where your horse and squad awaited you.
“Besides,” you shrugged, turning back for a moment to catch him looking at you. “Who else would teach me how to make tea?”

note: I don’t think I specified it, but Oluo was knocked unconscious bc some object (Hange’s glasses) fell from the sky lmao 🐸

Summary: It's hard to find the one, but even if you do find him it's always going to be a daily struggle to make it work. Can you even make it work after he broke your heart? The answer to that is complicated, but it all started when you found each other again in the stark Tower- and that's where our story begins.
Word count: 4,601
Warnings: language, sexism if you squint, angst, torture(Bucky style with needles and blood and knives etc), and a little fluff- not in that order.
A/N: I'm sure you guys will hate me after this. Sorry in advance? I'm saying this again- remember the timeline from the last chapter and this one...
A/N 2: thank you for @peterbenjiparker for helping me outline this chapter! And thanks to @chrissquares for the dividers! And of course to @nacho-bucky for reading this over!

The pain in your head almost pulled you under and out of consciousness with the way your body felt heavy and all the- were they hands? That seemed to touch you. You shivered when you felt a spark of electricity travel through your body and your eyes shot open.
There was a blinding light directly from above you and both of your sides but after a couple of moments you managed to see through that. You saw the agents, the building, the chair you were seated in with equipment you did not know but you did not want to find out what they do. When they noticed you were awake, two men walked to you.
Mike was standing on the side, grinning, while the doctor from the warehouse seemed to look you over.
"And she is awake." His voice wasn't charming anymore, now it just sent red alarms in your brain. "She looks so cute asleep."
In a glare you looked at him and he fell to his knees in the agony that overtook him, his eyes were hazy and you wanted to make sure it hurt.
"Put her under!" the doctor yelled and a searing electrical pain ran through your body and instead of his yelling in the room, it was now filled with yours. You didn't hear anything anymore and then all you knew was black. Your body jolted in its place despite the restraints before it went limp.
"When are you guys going to solve the problem?" Doctor Zazu laughed at the remark.
"What problem?"
"Her powers, they are intense and harmful! When she wakes up again, this will keep happening!" the doctor looked at the young agent who was struggling to get up and shook his head, he was still young.
"That's not the problem- that is the solution!"
"How the hell is that a solution? We can't use her until we make her under our control." Mike looked over at you. "Besides, it took years to make the Soldat."
"We are making advances on detecting her powers, and with the new technology and knowledge that we have now, we will be able to overpower her. I doubt she will make such a fight, especially with what you've told me."
"She was quite fun, certainly worth working there for as much as I did."
"I'm glad you enjoyed her, now it's my turn to toy with that brain of hers." He stood at the railing and watched as agents prepared the room that will soon be yours, and the staff that stood proudly just outside of it.
Three months ago in Asgard…
"This is such a blessed day to unite the lovely couple!" Lady Iyllir's mother raised her glass during breakfast. It'd been mere hours since Loki knocked on her door and here he was sitting at the long table with his father and Iyllir with her family.
Glasses clunk against each other but they only made Loki wince when he came back to the reality of the situation.
"Indeed it is, I am glad we will be uniting the families soon enough," his father then looked at him. "And I am happy it worked out as it should've."
Loki couldn't speak against Odin. Your voice was haunting him and you were right- he could get away from this if he wanted to, but he can't. He needed this too much even if he didn't want it.
"We are so excited! Right, Loki?" the girl looked at him with bright eyes her ginger hair was just as bright. He nodded and spread a smile.
"Of course, my dear, I look forward to it." She gave him her hand and he was a proper prince after all, so he raised her hand to his lips and gave her knuckles a gentle kiss.
"When shall we do the wedding?" Iyllir's parents talked to Odin more than Loki and the girl who sat behind him.
"We could have it soon, I'm sure we are just as eager to have this wedding just as the two lovers are to getting married." The father talked to Odin.
"Actually, father-" Iyllir quipped up and he felt her hand tighten around his. "I thought we could have it a couple of months from now, the flowers will be the brightest then."
"Dear, don't be silly the flowers are still pretty now." Her mother shook her head at her.
Before she could go further, Loki spoke instead of the girl.
"Shouldn't the bride decide how her own wedding will be designed?" the mother in front of him smiled nervously.
"Of course, Prince Loki, you are right."
With this the conversation went into planning the wedding which left Loki only half listening.
"I want it to be golden, we can even have our clothes be of such too!" he heard her before zoning out of the conversation. Breakfast ended soon after, with a promise from Odin to send maidens that'll be at the Lady's disposal for any wedding idea she wants.
Loki was walking beside her in silence as he escorted her to her chambers.
"What made you change your mind?"
"Pardon me?"
"You didn't want me or this wedding before, so what changed your mind?" he was at a loss of words, not knowing how to answer that- he couldn't bring you up, but Iyllir was indeed clever so she must know already.
"I came to a few realizations lately, but I assure you that I want this marriage." She nodded to him with a smile and he decided to sway the conversation away from you, the redhead beat him to it.
"Thank you for standing up for me earlier." She took his hand in hers as they neared her room.
"Of course, I understand parents can be tough." She let out a huff at that. "I admire that you spoke up."
"My parents sure can be hard to deal with. They like to decide everything for me but one good thing they did was lead me to you." She giggled up at him and he couldn't help but think that she deserved someone who will actually love her, and he hoped for both of their sake that he will learn to do that with time, and time can heal almost everything right?
"Yes, now I will let you go rest."
"I hope I'll see you later."
The sting of the needle only grew when you resisted it, your body was shaking still trying to relax from the shock you were put through yet again.
Your eyes were hazy but you were more stubborn than to submit to pain.
"They will come for me, you know." You heard your own voice stumble out the words.
"You think the Avengers will come save you?" Doctor Zazu chuckled and your vision came back to reality. "How long will it take them though? By the time they manage to find you, you will have already become my new soldier."
You focused your stare at him, but before you could do anything he pushed a button that sent searing pain into your mind.
"Blue." You heard him say and it wasn't hard for you to guess what he meant.
"Tony, have you seen Y/N?" Tony raised his mask and looked over at Steve.
"I haven't seen her in a few days but it's alright we don't have missions now." He was about to return to fixing his suit. "Plus, she is probably shaking up with that new boyfriend of hers."
"Tony…" Steve groaned at it.
"She's an adult Steve, get used to it. She can fondue whoever she likes." He snickered at the supersoldier who only looked at him in a not amused look.
"It's been a couple of days Tony, I'm getting worried. She would tell me if she was going away- she never went away like this before."
Tony sighed at Steve's stressed face.
"Hey F.R.I.D.A.Y, do you know where Y/N is?" he called to the AI.
"I'm afraid I don't know, the last she has been in the building was a few days ago, she was in the garage and she took one of your cars alongside some of your wine bottles, sir."
"She did what now? I told her several times to not touch my cars." Tony got up from where he was sitting. "Okay, can you call her?"
A moment has passed before they got a reply.
"She is not answering, and it seems like she took out the tracker from her phone since I can't track her."
"You see Tony I have every reason to be worried!" Steve grew angry at the new information, he paced the lab. "F.R.I.D.A.Y where is Mike? The guy that Y/N was with"
"He has not showed up to work in a few days, on the same day Y/N drove away."
Silence took over the room. Tony looked at his friend's crestfallen face.
"I might know where she went to."
"What, where?"
"She has an apartment up in Brooklyn, I saved it for her."
"Why didn't I know about it?" Steve walked up to the billionaire who held his hands up in defense.
"She didn't want to tell anyone, she wanted it to be only hers. I only know it because she needed to buy it, so I bought the entire building."
"We are going now. Get Nat in one of your cars and I will go on my motorcycle." It was a command more than a request.
It didn't take them long to get to the building, Steve did not care about any traffic lights and Tony couldn't blame him. Natasha insisted that she drives faster than Tony and to her credit they arrived at the place at the same time Steve did.
It was eerily quiet and Tony used the scan on the door to open it. They reached inside and Natasha already had the clutch of her gun open,
"Y/N!" Cap called at the small apartment but no answer came. Tony spotted the two glasses in the living room, one full on the table and the other half empty on the floor next to the big red stain it left on the carpet.
"Cap," Tony put his hand on his shoulder and Steve turned and saw Natasha raising the fallen glass to her face and smelling the content of it.
"This is not good, boys."
"Blue." The words were distant.
"Five." You were fighting to stay awake.
"Airplane." No. You screamed, trying to get out of your head.
"No, I will not turn into one of your soldiers! I won't!" your eyes flashed to a group of guards and with your anger it took no time for them to fall screaming on the ground, they could barely move when you felt the pain in your head again and you were shot back inside your mind.
"Blue."
You didn't know how much time you've been in this chair, reality and fiction blurred as you eased in and out of your mind.
"I won't turn into your soldier." You repeated again and again every time the doctor played with you and let you be awake. You knew at this point it'll take a lot from you to use your abilities.
"Even if your little Avenger friends get here, you won't be theirs either."
"What?" you hated showing weakness but your inhibitions were low.
"Either you will become my soldier, or you won't be here at all." He laughed right at you and then looked at the scientists beside you. "Put her under again, restart her."
"No, please no." They pushed you back against the chair; put the mouth guard between your teeth, and you felt yourself sink into the numbness of the pain.
You were shivering next time you woke up, you still heard those familiar words.
The machine they put you in was now rusted, at the moment you had clear mind you picked up the discarded needle on the side of where you lay. You were weak but you won't go down without a fight.
You lay there silently until the next agent came next you. Attacking them, you took the needle and stabbed them right in the throat, red blood started pouring but before you could pull out the agent's gun another agent came and their knife made a really deep cut. You looked up at chocolate brown eyes that now only held darkness when you fell to the floor and other agents lifted you up and restrained you.
"Look what you've done! What happened baby? You never put up such a fight from what I remember." Mike mocked you, you really thought he could be trusted. You were certainly wrong when he pressed on your fresh bloody wound. "At least, not in bed."
"Don't worry, she can fight all she wants, the wounds that we will leave on her pretty little brain will last and they'll last no matter what you'll try to do." You recognized the voice of their commander.
"So, did your parents name you after the parrot from Aladdin or the traitor from Othello?" you snickered at him "Then again I don't think you're smart enough to read such a high level literature, all due respect Commander Iago. And don't even get me started on the good doctor over there."
"Oh don't think you have the upper hand here, see we know something you don't. Did you ever bother checking where your powers came from? I'm sure the great Tony Stark tried, but while he failed we didn't. So we are already smarter than your avenger friends!"
You were taken aback by that, whatever created those powers within you always remained as a mystery in your head. But if they knew that, then they know a way inside of your brain and powers that you don't want to imagine.
"Well then, if you are so sure that I will never get out of here- why not share the knowledge with me?"
"We never said that you'll never get out of here, trust me," he stroked your jaw and his hand went down to your throat. Disgust blossomed in your stomach. "We have quite a plan for you if you'll get rescued, I'm sure your friends will appreciate the surprise."
Your heart hammered in your chest, mind racing with possibilities.
"Give her a dose then send her to her new special room." He stepped away and then a needle was inserted in you again, pumping blue strange liquid into you, your mind was hazy with its heaviness, and you barely remembered being put inside a sealed room. You saw a blue glow from outside of the transparent room, barely seeing the long stick and cords that ran from it. Then a blinding light flashed in the room and you felt yourself sinking, sinking inside your own mind.
The light was bright as it shone from your window. Curiousity got the better of you and you almost got blinded by the light outside until it stopped and you could see clearly again. There in through the light Loki stood in some quiet unusual clothing but that all changed with a glowing green glimmer of light and he was in regular clothes looking like the Loki you knew.
You stood there by the window with wide eyes but you couldn't seem to move as you were frozen in place trying to understand the lucid dream that occurred right before your eyes in your empty street.
A knock on the door caused you to shriek and you stumbled down to the ground, looking at the door.
"Y/N dear, are you okay? I can hear you inside." Loki's voice called out to you when you have yet to open the door.
Gathering up the courage you walked to the door and slowly opened it, willing yourself to look normal.
"Hello Loki, hello." You mentally cringed at your awkwardness.
"Are you okay? I heard something falling." He walked into your apartment casually while you were trying to gather up your thoughts.
"Yes, I'm- I'm okay. How are you?" you closed the door and locked it, facing away from him.
"I'm alright, thank you for asking." Loki looked at your form still standing by the door. "Why are you acting strange?"
"I am always strange, you should know that," you turned to him and briefly met his eyes before you made a move to go to the kitchen. "Do you want water? I'll bring us some water."
Loki caught your wrist and turned you to him.
"Are you mad at me for something? Come on, out with it. You know I always find out what you're hiding." He laughed that beautiful laugh of his and looked at you again when you were quiet. "Come on, you can tell me anything, you know that."
He let go of your hand when you still didn't answer and looked at the ground. Deciding to let it go he walked towards your kitchen.
"I'll get you a cup of water then-"
"Why are you glowing?" you winced when your voice was too loud for your liking.
"What?" you turned to him.
"You can glow, like a lamp or something. You glow-" you didn't know how to explain what you saw. "I saw you glow outside!"
"Oh." You almost felt bad at your accusation when you saw his face fall. "Well I guess there's no point in hiding it anymore- I am not who or what you think I am. I'm sorry I lied to you, do you want me to leave?"
"No! I don't want you to leave Loki, of course I don't want you to leave." He looked at you strangely and you looked at him back, a silent chuckle leaving your lips at his absurd question. "No don't leave, can you just tell me what's going on? Please."
Loki studied you then as he saw all the nerves leave you, or at the very least the fear that he dreaded seeing in your eyes.
"Very well," you've never seen Loki this nervous before. "You might want to sit down for this."
You sat down on one side on the couch and pouted when Loki chose to sit on the far side of the couch, away from you.
The talk was long to say the least, and you couldn't tell who it was harder to.
"I can make you forget all about this if that'll make it easier for you." Loki told you after you took in the information he gave you. A god was sitting on your couch. Your best friend was a god. But he was still your best friend.
"No! I don't want that!" You shook your head at him. "Can you maybe show me?"
"Show you what?"
"Your magic, I want to see it."
"You want to see my magic?" Loki was taking aback by the request, he expected for you to be scared of him or hate him. He knew you were special to him, but he didn't think you will find interest in his magic over everything else.
"Yes!" The smile on his face sent shivers down your spine, you recognized that smile.
The next second Loki disappeared from his place on the couch and you stared at the place in shock. Cautiously you scooched forward until you were sitting right next to his former place on the sofa. You reached a hand forward, searching for him in the air but when your hand went through nothing you looked at it and tilted your head.
That's when you felt the breath in your ear. "I'm not there, love." His voice was right beside you and you turned too fast and fell off of the couch.
You saw Loki there sitting right behind where you were a second ago. Gaping at him, you huffed when he laughed at you.
"You can't just scare me like that!"
"You wanted to see my magic and I showed it to you. It's your fault that you couldn't handle it well." Getting up you took a pillow in your hand. "I am the god of mischief as I just told you. So come on what did you expect?"
"I don't care if you're the god of my ass, you are a little shit." You hit him with the pillow over and over again. "Don't you ever scare me like that again!"
"Okay okay I yield!" his laughter calmed down as yours started and he knew he was done for. Out of all of the scenarios he played in his head about this moment, he never would have expected this. "What are you laughing at?"
"I just punched a god with a pillow."
"Why haven't you killed her yet?"
"Well, it takes time to extract what we want from her. Don't you want to see her before it?" the commander stuttered a bit when he saw who stood in front of him, coming unannounced. The moment they heard the loud familiar noise from outside, they started to hide everything they were working on so that they won't be interrupted and killed.
The two of them walked towards where you still lay in the almost empty room. At the commander's order you were taken out of it and strapped to the chair again.
You slowly opened your eyes a small gasp leaving your throat at the cold shivers that you felt as you got back into reality. You couldn't tell how long it was.
You felt yourself being watched, warning alarms ran through your head and suddenly the shivers weren't from the cold. You forced your eyes to focus back and when you did you finally saw them clearly.
"So there she is, finally with us sweetheart?" Commander Iago's voice ringed in your ears.
"Is this the little girl that is causing so much trouble? She looks so delicate, so breakable."
The second was a voice you did not recognize, it was almost melodic.
"I'm afraid her powers are the danger here, nothing more. We are taking the powers away from her like we agreed."
The new information registered in your brain, you didn't call him out on his lie- not yet at least, not when you actually have an advantage.
"You told me," you could see his eyes widen. "That you know about my powers, so at least be decent and tell me about them before you drain them out of me."
"Go ahead, tell her." The Hydra commander swallowed loudly before he let out a laugh.
"Well, did it ever occur to you that maybe your encounter with a deity left some marks on you?"
"What are you saying?"
"Dear Loki must have put some ancient spell on you not knowing it would cause what it did."
Oh. Then you cast your eyes down and let it register in your brain. All the incidents, the weapons…
"And how would you know about Loki? Who are you?" you looked into those dark grey eyes.
"I guess you're not used to this kind of grace to recognize royalty. I'm Princess Iyllir, wife of your dear little Loki."
"Oh you're no princess." You won't let her see what you were feeling, the effects of her words.
"I will be soon, he was so eager to marry me. I must say I understand why you liked him," she leaned down to you a bit. "He certainly comes with perks with that silver tongue of his."
You knew he was never yours, but hearing her say that only put salt on your open wound.
"He is probably waiting in bed for me, so I should go. But I hope you'll have fun here, it's not like you will be staying with us for long." She then looked back at the agent. "Good job with her, I want you to finish this as soon as possible.
"Yes of course." You saw him pull the remote in his hand and your heart started to race when they put a mouth guard, tears gathered in your eyes as he pressed it and the pain began again.
"How did you not know that Mike is Hydra?" Steve yelled at Tony.
"We must have missed him somehow but we don't have time to blame me for that! The question we need to ask is how do we not know of other Hydra bases?" Bruce took his glasses off and rubbed his eyes.
"Wasn't he working in analysis?"
"F.R.I.D.A.Y, scan everything Mike worked on ever since he and Y/N got together."
"It's his fault."
"Yeah we know- he kidnapped her."
"It's Loki's fault. Everything went wrong after he got here." Steve kicked over a chair and paced the room.
"Steve let's not focus on the blame right now, we need to focus on finding Y/N." Bucky put a hand on his friend's shoulder until he looked up at him and he shot him a reassuring smile. "We all care about her, it's not just you."
"I know Buck, sorry."
"Why would Hydra target her?" Natasha thought out loud.
"It must connect to everything that is going on with their Asgardian technology." Clint sat down next to Tony.
"What about the Asgardian things they stole?" Thor walked into the room and everyone stared at him.
One month ago in Asgard…
"The view from here is beautiful, isn't it?" Grey eyes looked up at him. Iyllir and Loki sat on a bench in the balcony of his room, the skies were clear and the sun shone bright.
He spent the day with the girl. They read books together and she was good conversation, he knew that.
"It is." He looked over all that was below them, the gardens and workers and surrounding all of that were the palace walls.
"It's been lovely spending more time with you, I'm sure the wedding will go splendidly!" she gushed to him and sat ever so closer to him. "It's so soon too."
It really was soon, Loki knew that. You were still there though, all around in his mind. In a crowd he sometimes thinks he sees your face, but he didn't.
He knew he was just chasing shadows, trying to keep himself away from Iyllir but it was of no use, the wedding is soon and he needs to forget about you. He looked over to her.
"I look forward to our new start together." She smiled back at him.
He tried to think clearly, he had to get over you somehow.
The girl in front of him was as beautiful as any Asgardian princess would be- from her soft eyes to her plump lips, and to the rest of her figure. She was smart and perfectly polite like any lady should be.
In the last four months he got to know her better, he couldn't deny her kindness and if only he could forget you he knows he might be satisfied with her.
He had to forget you.
He gently grabbed her chin, moving it slightly upwards to him. He had been dragging this for months, denying it all but the wedding is already planned and he wanted this, he couldn't live in the shadows anymore.
Loki saw the look of surprise on the redhead's face but it soon turned lustful when she leaned up as he leaned down to her. He captured her lips in his and gave it his all; there was no turning back now. She tasted sweet; he brought her even closer to him, deepening the kiss, starting to feel her lust take over him as well.

I followed zevor at the time and I highly doubt this narrative that they were constantly on-off. He definitely cheated but I don't think Z had any idea that they were "off" while he cheated. I think that Z truly thought that Trevor was going to be the one for her. I'm reminded of her 2015 interview in which she said that she didn't expect to experience heartbreak because she knew how to be "a good girlfriend". The interviewer asked Claire who was in the audience to teach her daughter the truth and Claire answered that she thought it was cute (seemed like a parent letting their kid believe that Santa was real). This is not what someone who is constantly on-off would say. After Trevor broke up with Z on May 2016, she went to Atlanta to shoot Hoco, she returned briefly to LA to set up her new house and then left to NYC to prepare for TGS. She started dating Tom in this period. Meanwhile Val was dating Amber, broke up with her on Feb 2017 and went back with Jenna. There was really no time for Val and Z to have dated. Also we have seen that when Z breaks up with someone, she doesn't interact much with them, so Val wouldn't be attending her 21st bday parties and TGS private screenings if they were exes
We are going fully down the Zevor rabbit hole today. I tend to agree with you. I think they were having problems towards the end and Z probably overlooked a lot of things earlier on being naive but I agree with you that she fully thought she was going to end up with him. I don't remember her saying the bit about being a good girlfriend. I think she was just fully naive as one is in the bloom of first puppy love to think it's going to last forever and you are never going to get hurt. I do remember Claire and the interviewer kind of kindly laughing at her like you'll learn kid. Say what you want about her odd relationship with Val but she was head over heels for Trevor. I think one of Z's traits sometimes anyway seems to be a loyalty, almost to a fault, until someone does something she can't forgive and that is it.
Also I totally forgot about Val dating Amber for a hot minute. Ha ha. I love how Jenna and Val pretend they were always deeply in love and each others person from the day they met. They broke up multiple times and were so dramatic.
Also see Val's whatever it is he did to Janel re: leading her on which was also after his first go round with Jenna. Jenna literally watched him do whatever he did to Janel from the sidelines.

🕊️: "the lost prince" (5)
park seonghwa (박성화) - 2,664 words
Tumblr media
the woman who stole your boyfriend's childhood, who lied to him during all his life; this woman was here. in front of you. and you felt the anger growing up inside of you. no other feelings remained, only the anger. you wanted her to pay for what she's done.
but were you ready to face the future..?
“miss/mister? is she the one who pretended to be his mom?”
a policeman asked. you had to think about what to do, and quickly.
you were thinking about Seonghwa's pain to be far from his family totally unknown to him, and Seonghwa's real parents waiting for their child. there were a lot more behind choosing to tell them the truth. could you really be selfish? could you really take away someone's child for ever because you don't wanna lose him?
     “it's me.. or them..”
you whispered as you were looking at the woman through the window.
     “sorry, what..?”
you weren't moving. your eyes were glued on this woman. only two tears rolling down your cheeks were moving.
“it's... it's her...”
you couldn't do that to Seonghwa. you couldn't prevent him from knowing the truth. it was a part of him. and you would always put him first, before yourself.
you looked down as soon as you told them the truth about this woman. you didn't want to stay here any longer. you didn't want to see her any longer. it was her fault. everything was because of her. and no one else.
     “thank you, miss/mister.”
they kindly mentionned you the door to leave the room, which you did. you had nothing to do here anymore.
“we'll question her. and if the whole situation is moving.. we'll be seeing your boyfriend immediately.”
you thanked them, and left.
once you were out of the police station, on your own, you felt how weak you were. this whole situation, you couldn't control it. nothing about it. and you were powerless to your boyfriend's wounds. you didn't know how to heal them. you've been learnt how to love someone, not how to heal someone's deep wounds. and even though you were giving Seonghwa back his family, that was the upper and visible part of the iceberg.
your tears were flowing down your cheeks. you couldn't control them. even that, you couldn't control it. it was the same as being overwhelmed by everything, and anything.
the anger left for a distress to come. and it was even worse.
you started to walk. you seemed to be someone walking around aimlessly. a wandering person. but in fact, you were heading to your home. you knew so well how to go there that you weren't paying attention to your surroundings. your head was full of questions.
even though you knew you did the best for Seonghwa, it was hurting you. the future was the main reason of this pain.
once you reached your place, your mom rushed to you and showered you with questions. there were so many, and she was throwing them at you without letting you the opportunity to answer.
you could understand she was the type to be very curious and sometimes intrusive. but it was too much for you at this moment. you couldn't handle more. it was impossible.
     “mom please... stop.”
you tried to hold back the tears forming in your eyes. crying in front of her was the last thing you wanted.
“i came to take some clothes for Seonghwa, and then i'll be back by his side. he wants me to stay with him during the night.
“i see you won't answer my questions.”
despite her certainty, she was following you.
“it's not that simple mom.. i'm sorry if i seem... i don't know, overwhelmed? but i actually am overwhelmed. i don't control anything, i don't know nothing more. i don't know if he's this lost prince or not. i don't know what our relationship will be if he's the prince. i don't know how to help him. i don't know how to soothe his pain. i don't know nothing. the only thing i know is that.. they arrested this woman who pretended to be his mother. but if it's that simple, there wouldn't be this much lost child in our world.”
your mom stopped you and simply hugged you. she knew you perfectly. she knew how devoted you were to people you truly loved. but she hated to see you overwhelmed by problems and questions.
“baby... you're not alone in this. you're not alone in this fight. and you don't have to handle all the things. we're here, you can count on us.”
you wrapped your arms around her waist, and slowly became calmer. it was soothing you to hear someone you trust with your whole soul saying you weren't alone on this.
when you both pulled away from the hug, you finished to pack up clothes for Seonghwa. you needed to see him again. you wished he would have the same reassuring words to you. you wished he would have the right words for you to worry less about the future.
your mom helped you preparing everything for Seonghwa: clothes, personal stuffs to give him a kind of comfort in his white room, and she even gave you two pieces of cake she made — she knew Seonghwa loved her cakes, she didn't hesitate before giving them to you.
you left a little bit later than expected. in fact, you accepted to stay a little bit longer at home to spend some time with your mom. you both talked as if you were friends: you talked about few things that happened to you both in the past, remembering funny moments, and you lauged about few anecdotes. it lighted up your mood, you had to admit.
even though you left a little bit later, you knew Seonghwa wouldn't be mad at you, and would understand. even though his "mom" wasn't his mom, he was the type of person to give a lot of importance to family.
once you got there, to the hospital, yesterday's nurse was there, in the corridor of your boyfriend's room.
“Seonghwa is doing a lot better. it didn't have a huge impact on him. that's a great thing. did you get any information about his family?”
she nicely asked to you. you could tell by her eyes she was really worried about this whole situation.
     “i'm glad it didn't..”
you sighed in relief.
“yeah, i have more informations. and policemen have the same lead as me. i wish it was a coincidence. but i don't think so. we wouldn't think about it if we hadn't any good reasons.”
“and you, how do you feel about it?”
her question touched you. even though some may think it was her job, not all the nurses would have done the same as her. not every nurse would have paid this much attention to a patient's problems and to a random person's problems.
“honestly... things are really hard for me. and i feel like i'm getting overwhelmed by.. everything.”
“do you.. want to talk about it?”
     you kindly smiled to her.
“thank you so much...”
you followed her in the same room as yesterday, when you talked to Seonghwa's "mom" and learnt about her lie. you sat on a chair with the nurse. her smile was very reassuring.
“yesterday, the woman i talked with called Seonghwa 'the lost prince'. i think it's enough to explain the whole thing. and i'm getting nervous because.. i'm scared... what will happen to us if he is the prince. i don't wanna lose him. but our worlds will be so different.”
the nurse first stayed quiet. she was right besides you. her eyes were scanning your face. and she noticed you were more than scared and nervous. your whole being was so in love with him and, as a consequence, was more than scared.
“i don't like it when i can't control things. and right now, i control nothing. absolutely nothing. i'm going through the unknown.”
“you both are going through the unknown.”
she softly wrapped a hand around yours. her hold on your hands was showing off how comforting she was.
“you are both into a relationship, right? talk to him about that. you'll figure out things are not that uncontrollable. and you may have surprises.”
you looked straight into her eyes. slowly but surely, you started to smile.
“thank you so much. i'll surely talk to him.”
you smiled to her. when she let go of your hands, you picked up the bag once again, and stood up.
“if any of you needs something, call for a nurse. i'll come.”
you nodded and respectfully thanked her. you walked out the room with her, and went to your boyfriend's room. he immediately greeted you with a bright smile and sparkling eyes.
     “y/n!”
you giggled at his cute behaviour, again, and kissed his forehead.
     “you're adorable, baby.~”
you sat right next to him on the bed, and put the bag on a chair.
“i got you some clothes, some other things so you feel a little bit more at home in your room, aaaaand...”
you took out the two pieces of cake into foil.
“my mom gave me two pieces of cake for you. a cake she made.~”
“Choi family is really the best family.”
he took a piece of cake and started to eat it. all you could see on his face was joy. even though he was going through a lot, little things were enough to brighten up his mood. and seeing him being easily joyful was enough to brighten up your own mood.
“Hwa, i'm sorry for what i've said earlier. i understand you don't wanna think about yourself as the lost price or something. i understand you don't wanna make assumptions.”
you softly started to rub his scalp. his hair was really soft.
with cheeks full of the cake, he shook his head as a no.
“no baby. it's okay. i shoud have listened to you, too.”
“we're not mad at each other, then?”
     “we're not.”
Seonghwa had a pretty smile on his face. you leaned over and slowly wiped away a piece of cake on the corner of his lips.
when your boyfriend was done eating, you took the second slice and put it down on his bedside table, next to some personal stuffs: there were a picture of you both together in a frame, a little bracelet he never left since his childhood, and a ring he was always wearing. it wasn't too much, but enough to make him feel better in this room.
you were still on the bed, next to him. but after looking at you oh so lovingly, he opened his arms to ask for a hug. and you didn't waist time before snuggling up into him.
     “how was it.. there?”
Seonghwa asked, looking at your face. but you, your head on his chest, you were looking down to your feet.
     “there? where?”
“at the police station, silly. was she.. there?”
there you were. the moment. you didn't think it would come this fast. but there you were. in front of him. and he was asking you about her, about what happened. you hoped this would have come later. you hoped you'd have more time to think about what you should and what you shouldn't tell him.
     “she was..”
you sighed out. you tensed up in his arms: you only hoped he didn't feel it.
“thank god you recognised her, she'll be arrested!”
he tightened his hold around you. luckily, it seemed like he didn't notice your reaction.
     “you're happy about that?”
“of course i am. she took me away from my family all my life! she lied to me! she looked straight into my eyes and called me son when i wasn't..”
“do you wanna.. find your real family? no matter what it involves..?”
you were worried about his answer. but more like about what his answer would mean.
“of course i do. i wanna meet my real parents. the one who gave me birth. the mom who breastfed me. the dad who woke up in the night when i was doing a nightmare. and i wanna thank the real ones who brought me to the world.“
he tightened a little his grip around you.
“i wanna meet them with you. i want them to meet the person i love.”
you bit your lower lip. you were happy he told you that. that was a proof he won't let anybody break you both apart.
“is that what you want?”
“yeah. i wanna meet them. and i wanna get to know them with you. i wanna tell them 'look! it's the person my heart had chosen! i believe she's/he's the good one for me.' and then, i'll be the happiest.”
     “i shouldn't have hesitate...”
you sat up in the bed, pushing you hair back. you were realising how stupid you were for doubting about him and his feelings. of course he wouldn't let anyone break you both apart. he waited for you for so long. he always showed you how much he loved you in the past. each time he had the chance, he did it.
     “hesitate?”
“yeah.. honestly, when i was in front of her.. thinking about her calling you fleur-de-lis.. i was scared. i thought about.. lying to them. i thought about telling them she wasn't the woman they were looking for.”
you were playing with your fingers, feeling nervous again. as if you were in front of this window; as if you were in front of her.
     “you what..?”
you could hear Seonghwa was curious and almost disappointed in you.
“i was scared.. i was scared i couldn't control the situation anymore. i was scared about the future. i'm not the only one thinking you're the lost prince. policemen also think you are the lost prince. and admitting that.. i'm scared of the truth, Seonghwa. if you are the prince, our worlds will be so different. i was scared this title would take you away from me. and i'm still scared.”
you started to cry. you couldn't stop the tears from rolling down your cheeks.
“but then.. i thought about you. i thought about your desire to know your parents. i can't take you away from the truth. and i can't let a broken family wait for their son for ever because i was too selfish..”
Seonghwa wrapped his arms around your shoulders. he softly hugged you.
“so despite everything it involves.. i said the truth..”
Seonghwa stayed there. he didn't say anything. he was just holding you tightly — tighter than ever — to try and call you down. he wiped away each tears as they came. and he often kissed your forehead.
this hug was showing how thankful he was you told the truth, but also was a proof he won't never let you go. it was enough to make you feel warm in the inside.
     “i love you, y/n..”
you sniffed multiple times, and looked up to Seonghwa.
     “i love you too..”
you pecked his lips twice, a little smile. after a day full of emotions, you felt warmer.
as you were enjoying a moment with Seonghwa, and playing with him by rubbing your noses together, squishing his cheeks or trying to tickle him, you both heard some knocks on the door. you stopped, and sat properly before Seonghwa answered. the nurse you talked to opened the door.
“i'm sorry to disturb you, teenagers.~ a woman is here, and want to talk to you. espacially you, Seonghwa. can i let her in?”
the nurse asked softly for Seonghwa's permission, and mentionned the lady to come in when he agreed.
a lady came in. she was stunning, and wearing pretty well the wrinkles on few spots of her face. her brown hair was falling gracefully on her shoulders.
     but who was she?

His Queen
Part 3
Bri ripped open the letter, amazed it was handwritten and in cursive! Knowing Roman, he had an assistant write it, but she felt a warmth in her chest knowing he’d truly loved her all along.
To My Queen, Briana Godfrey,
(Admit it! That sounds way better than Tucker, have the lawyers change it.)
Oh, and before I get into it, I wrote this myself. No assistants, so fuck you for thinking it.
Bri smiled a sad smile at how they still knew how the other thought.
I have to start off by saying thank you for reading this letter. That means you're at the white tower. I don't deserve you. I've turned into everything I never wanted to become. Everything you made me believe I could escape. You are the light to my darkness and I'm so sorry I disappointed you. I don’t have a lot of time, but I needed a plan in case I fail. You’re the only person I trust with my company, my money, my daughter, my legacy, my heart, all of it. I am an absolute crack head level blood addict, and I couldn’t trust myself when we got overly emotional to keep my head. Because I love you so much, you can make me so upset, and That last fight we got into, I scared myself. I don’t blame you for slapping me, but to hold back from returning the blow, I literally broke my own hand... but this is not what this letter is about.
Peter and my sick half-sister Annie have stolen my daughter. Peter is hell-bent on destroying me because he killed Destiny's trash fiance, and lied about it, so she blamed me and attacked me and I hurt her bad enough to foresee issues with peter, so I broke her neck to avoid problems figuring it was showing her some mercy since she was heartbroken. Annie was there and when I refused to carry on an incestuous relationship with her, she turned on me and told Peter about Destiny. So he came after me and fucking shot me, we fought and I won, but didn't cut his head off so I knew he’d be fine. Well, he calls me and has my kid and won't turn her over, and says he's going to kill me so even though I doubt it, Nadia needs someone to raise her, and if I'm killed it's not my whore of a sister Annie. I need you to find Nadia and take her home and raise her as she deserves. She’s such a sweet baby and she adores you.
Find Shelley and she can help you maybe. She’s in love with this weird old poet and chooses to live at the old steel mill. Calls it Rooster Poop. Can’t make this shit up.
The entire security team is trying to find Nadia, so contact them and see where they’re at with it.
you are the love of my life and I refused to ever say so, even though we both knew it was true. I would bullshit and say it’s cuz I was saving you from myself, but I’m not that fucking noble. You scared me more than anything ever scared me in my life. God, it's great to admit I love you. Like I need to make up a new word for how I feel for you cuz love isn’t strong enough.
there’s a pretty poem I saw that reminded me of you;
I’d still choose you.
In a hundred lifetimes,
in a hundred worlds,
in any version of reality,
I’d find you and I’d choose you.
Even though I knew you were going to break my heart again and again.
I’d still choose you.
It’s crazy how happy I am writing you a letter, even with every aspect of my life in shambles, you’re my light.
You get everything. Fuck all of them. You were right about everything. If I survive this shit, I am winning you back if it takes 100 years and I have to spend every cent. This is literally a reset.
I tried to forget your baby girl but I never could. No amount of drugs, money, blood, or bullshit could ever distract me from the constant ache in my heart for only you. You’re the only pussy I ever wanna see again. I ran thru a fantastic amount of pussy after you left and none of them made me forget you for even a moment. I pictured you or I could not get off. It was pathetic. I hope I get to see you again and rip up this fucking letter.
I looked back over this and there’s a reason I have other people write shit up for me. A few requests to seriously consider:
-->Blitzky should take over for Pryce. Not only is he a genius, he's a good guy. He's a bit soft, so you may have to be the bad guy.
-->Get a new nanny. The current one looks good on paper but she's an idiot.
--> Live in the white tower. It's secure and safe and you can make as many floors as you like home.
--> if an animal killed me, it's Peter and he's still a wolf. He’ll be white. Kill him, cut off his head and burn him up in the incinerator.
--> if Annie comes around at all, kill her. She's very manupulative and acts religious and nice. She's crazy and not to be trusted.
-->try and convince Shelley to live in the mansion and have her little homeless community there. She doesn't care about money but she cares about people, so offer it as a safe haven. Make sure it stays stocked in necessities like toilet paper, soap, cleaning materials, etc and write it all off as a charity contribution. Make the whole endeavor a big tax write off, but don't tell Shelley that part. Just tell her it was my dying wish she had a home.
--> the loser she's with has legal problems. Have the legal department solve them so he's got no reason to desert her.
-->if Peters mom comes sniffing around, don't tell her a damn thing. I doubt she will tho, she's a wanted fugitive.
--> don't trust any gypsies.
--> Nadia is very intelligent. She can read minds, influence dreams, and kill anyone or anything just by looking at them. She's dangerous and shouldn't be allowed around animals or people until she can understand the concept of death and consequences. There's no way to control her, I have found.
--> I promised a homeless man I ate that id pay for his sons school. Anonymously pay for Mathew Shandwicks classes, books and dorm at Penn State for all 4 years. His father traded his life without a single complaint so it's imperative you keep my word.
-->make sure Nadia isn't a spoiled brat like me. Teach her about her mother and her father and all the good things about us. Leave out we were related if you can swing it. Just say we were young and loved each other very much. I enclosed a pack of photos of me and Letha for her.
I wonder what you’re wearing... That reminds me; if I’m really dead, you have to be in mourning at least two years. That means all black suits and dresses that cover you up, black nails, big black hats like you just left a Catalina Yacht Mixer or you’re going to a royal wedding. I even got you black lab coats just in case.Don’t half ass this. It’s important.
Also I want “Fuck you” by the Archives played at my funeral, if it comes to that.
Hopefully, you never see this letter because I got everything fixed here, and went and found you and you ran into my arms and we lived happily ever after, and I have a whole lifetime with you... But just in case...
All my love,
Roman Godfrey
P.s. - since you're a genius, hopefully you can fix me or bring me back. I hope you still love me even 10% as much as I love you, because then nothing can stop us.
Brianna stared at the page as her tears fell on it swirling the ink in designs and spirals. She knew he’d always loved her, but it was bittersweet seeing him finally admit it. She took the photos out of the envelope and looked through them.

Looking through the pictures was heart-wrenching. There had to be a way to fix all this! She tried to remember everything she’d learned about Upirs from that dreadful Russian women and Pryce. Luckily they’d been a bit of an obsession for her that she delved into when Roman pulled his shit. Being obsessed with Upirs had distracted her from obsessing over the real issue.
Just as she started to wonder when Mueller and Edwards would be back, as if by magic, the elevator doors opened. They had brought Dr. Blitzkey with them as well.
“Oh my gosh! You’re alive! I’m so happy to see you’re ok and still here!” Bri said as she ran up and embraced Blitzky. “Where is Roman? I need to see him.”
Blitzky looked at the ground nervously before meeting your eyes. “It’s not fixable.”
“No matter. I just NEED to see him. Please?” She begged.
“Okay. He has several severe traumatic injuries so please prepare yourself for that.”
“What happened to him?”
“Some Type of animal attacked him in the old mansion and pushed him out the upper story window, fracturing his spine and neck which most likely left him paralyzed and vulnerable. His throat and heart were then ripped out.”
“Peter.” Bri said darkly. He was going to pay for his betrayal. She would make sure of that.
“I mean that’s the most logical conclusion but after all Roman did for that little degenerate, ” Blitzky muttered.
Bri nodded solemnly.
“Hate to interrupt your happy little party but we have several forms that need immediate attention, to get this shit show back on the road,” Edwards interjected.
“They’ll have to wait till after I see Roman. You lead the way Blitzkey, you two stay here.” She said firmly stepping into the elevator with the doctor. Both lawyers looked furious but did as they were told since they were honestly intimidated by this young woman that had all this piled on her, and seemed unfazed.
As soon as the doors closed she sank to her knees and screamed. The tears came flooding out of her eyes as her body was wracked by sobs. It’s like she’d been hit by a truck. The realization that Roman was really gone finally sinking in.
Blitzky didn’t know what he should do. He was a genius, but completely clueless when it came to social and interpersonal skills. He hesitantly patted Bri on the head like a golden retriever, unsure how long was comforting so he just kept doing it. “You’re strong.”
Bri glanced up at Blitzky through her foggy tears and couldn't help but agree. She WAS strong.
The elevator opened to their floor as she looked down at the floor.
“Well” Blitzkey peeped, unsure of what to do, “this is it.”
“We have to fix him Blitzkey. There’s got to be a way.” she said rising to her feet, as if the little display he just witnessed never happened.
“You’re the boss.” Blitzky said as cheerful as he could muster.
“I’m giving you Pryce’s position. I trust you.”
“Thank you! I wasn't sure if maybe you'd want to take charge.... What will you do? Take over for Roman?”
“Until I can bring him back, I guess I’ll have to. I will bring him back Blitzkey.... If I have to make a deal with the Devil himself.” Bri stated adamantly before setting off down the hall like a woman possessed.

Saika Headcanon #3 -Daily Activities: School Days-
Tumblr media
It's kinda interesting to write more headcanon about her, I would absolutely love to write more about her when I had a chance and sometimes it took me a while to finish it, but it's very worth it. There's a lot headcanon I want to write, including her Weekend activities, Special Day, and even Pirates headcanon, but I do want to write down something about her life prior to her being transferred and her personal problems, but that can do later.
She normally awake at 05.30 A.M. went directly to taking a shower, after that she or her aunt made breakfast for them. She usually made a omelette, toast bread or yolk egg for breakfast before she went to school.
Her school where Tokio usually attended would be at 08.00 A.M. so she headed to school earlier by walk with her fresh look school uniform while looking at her phone.
She usually checked on anything and situation in the world like news, social media, and forums, most of things she carefully look forward to the news or forums were about CC Corp, since how much she had deep grudge toward the company.
She can walk alone or meet her friends along the road, when it comes to her with her friend at school, they usually talking something what girls had conversation for, and Saika might went along with that conversation, although she honestly didn't want to talk about all girls talk things.
Although when she alone, she might using her headset and listening music to calm herself while continuously heading to the school, since she had that habit prior to her transfer.
When arriving at school, she went to the class as usual, but sometimes she got boys who has staring at her, since she's the honor student who not just good at studying, but also good at sports, clubs, and most of all charisma. But she felt uncomfortable when they always staring at her like that, nonetheless that she waving her hands on them or smiled at them.
During class, she always answering the question from the teachers in different subjects and they thought how prodigy and smart Saika was, because properly studying at night. She even doing her homework and got a score A+.
When the lunch time, she always eat what it available in the school, although if Yakisoba is available she would take one of them for her lunch time, since it's her favorite food that she always eat prior being transferred, but it only available on wednesday.
She sometimes eat alone, but she always been invited by her classmate to had lunch together and it's same silly conversation that girl always talking about, although she went along with it without hesitation. Although it's not just silly one, but they sometimes gossiping different lot of things, Tokio is always included on that topic.
2.45 P.M. after school she often just directly went home or doing a club activities. Basketball always been her favorite sports and something she very good at, whish result her join with that club. Although she often participate in different sports like Tennis, Swimming and even Soccer depends if they did ever request it to her. Although the reason is that she want to calm her minds and try to keep fit her balance toward her body as sport is key to it.
5.45 P.M. After she were separated from her friends as they going home on different roads from her, she usually went to some special places like Bookstore, or Store Market, but sometimes she drop by at the Game Store to buy some game she like, or just one console game to play at home, she seems very enjoyed play a game secretly, but tries to keep hidden in case her classmate didn't notice her. Although she realized that The World R:X is always been popular game around the market.
6.57 P.M. She arrived at home, and her parents (or not her true parents) had preparing a dinner for her, but she took a shower before that, although she monitoring Tokio first before or after, and sometimes got mad about his progression and his failure to take Chrono Core. She might wear towel after shower during monitoring Tokio.
7.54 P.M. When she had a dinner with her family, they had a lot conversation toward their personal things and Saika went along, but sometimes she not went involved with their conversation and averting her eyes from them because of her rough childhood experience and communication issues with them. And once she's done, she directly went to her room.
8.34 P.M. She return on serious focusing toward monitoring Tokio's movements and his progresses for obtaining Chrono Core, analyze the information regarding PCs and more, also helping Tokio on his mission, sometimes she got rough on him and got stressed toward his progression issues, but when it comes obtaining Chrono Core, she might got relieved and feel little fresh, but still got serious. She monitoring him or even helping him using Hologram for at least two hours before she went straight bed.
10.45 P.M. There's a lot things that she can do before going to sleep, like reading a manga and novel, her favorite genres is shojo, slices of life, action, adventure, sci-fi, thriller and drama. She pick lot of them that really catch interested for her, although Doraemon, Naruto, One Piece and SpiderMan is her secret favorite.
Most of thing she do instead reading is always checking on her smartphone, she check on news, history and any related to the The World and CC Corp that could lead some clues that she could find. And before went to sleep, she do forehead kiss and hug Chim-Chim Dolls to make it feel comfortable when she were a sleep.
Sometimes she do had a nightmare about her past childhood and somehow she couldn't rest until she find Jyotaro Amagi, but she can just jump in action very recklessly so she need to well-behaved like a normal girl in order to avoid suspicious, but even so, her grudge toward CC Corp for faking her brother's death is very immeasurable for her.
Other (BONUS: During a Main Story of .hack//Link)
The class had started and the atmosphere feels normal, same as how she was transferred, except, Teacher and students already talking or gossiping regarding about Tokio's absent from school, people are wondering what's happen to him, but they didn't know that his absent is not because is sick or anything, but how she transferred Tokio into The World R:X with Black Copy Disc, now it's been five days, and it seems that it's always been a talk from all students and teachers, possibility he got kidnapped or disappeared.
She little got worried and wonder if Black Copy Disc could transferred Tokio back into the Real World, but seems that disc is now unactivated which seems impossible to bring him back, plus that she uses Tokio to find Chrono Core as a hints to find her brother, Jyotaro Amagi. She tries to keep her cool and pretend that she didn't know where Tokio is to prevent suspicious since she knew about Tokio's location.
She watching Tokio using her smartphone or her P-COM she brought at school and sometimes when she alone she continuously focuses on monitoring and helping Tokio at such of times during finding a Chrono Core.
