One Book July 2022

This year's #onebookjuly is to focus on what you need in a planner to help you be more successful. Well, for me that is a lot of things I want to make sure I can keep you with since my season of life has officially changed. I no longer have babies or toddlers at home so I can spend my time looking for a job. Finger Cross for a job at the school. I’ve settled with carrying one planner and a reading companion. Now just looking for the prefect layout that works for me.

Here's my #onebookjuly flip through! I used the challenge to teach myself the value of a pen. I want a beautiful pen, but I have lots of not so beautiful pen habits, like loosing and chewing on them. I'm proud to say that the two pens I used are in just as good condition now as they were when I bought the three pack from Marshalls (except for one that is empty of ink and the other which is almost empty)! And I didn't loose them!! This is my primary notebook, but I used my one pen for all my writing this month. Knitting notes, boring work notes, in my recipe book, in my car to write down directions, literally every single thing I wrote in July was with one of these two pens. This challenge was great. I miss the color, so I've gone back to colors. But I'm going to thin the pen drawer a lot and try to invest in some quality pens and markers. And I'm gonna start looking at beautiful pens, especially beautiful handmade pens. My journaling pages are not what you would consider Instagram-worthy. It’s basically just pen, paper, and my thoughts. And occasionally some photos. I feel more honest in my writing when I don’t share it. I want to look back 20 years from now and see where my head was at, what kind of person I was, and all the batshit crazy events of 2020. Just purely unfiltered thoughts. I will probably do a super quick flip-through one day so you can see what I’m talking about. Also included in my journal is an art/doodle notebook and a memory keeping calendar of my son’s first year.
