I am happy. We are happy. It is even scientifically proven. How, you may ask. Well my Healer says it is a necessity to life, that our purpose is to be happy and of course if it doesn’t happen you have to force it. I really don’t know what happens if you ever feely unhappy. I mean, is it even possible? I really think not. We all have to be happy. It’s a must. Well that’s what my Healer says. Our Healer. Last night he spoke to us. I don’t remember exactly what he said, although I know it was inspirational. It always is. That’s what he’s there for, to show us the correct path to choose. But lately… Well I don’t know. I mean I love the Healer. We love the Healer. And it’s wrong to think what I’m thinking right now, but I can’t help it. It’s a feeling I can’t shake off and I don’t know how long it has been with me or if it’s a part of me, I mean, maybe it’s something external, something I can’t control. I really hope it is. Otherwise, well, it would be my fault and I’d hate that it’d be my fault. I don’t want to disappoint the Healer. Well, this thought forced me to read a book. And I know, the Healer doesn’t like books. But it’s not illegal. Now, nothing is. I really don’t remember what the book was about, something about searching whatever. Well I can’t look it up now. I burned it. I was afraid. I know however that the book recommended writing a journal for this search. And that is what I’m trying to do. My God. What has this thought turned me into, it even has forced me into writing. Well, at least it doesn’t harm anybody to write. From tomorrow on I will write everything that has happened and all the thoughts that have occurred to me in this journal. Right now, I need a rest. I’ve written too much for today.

Within Us (Prologue)

Blake's POV

Training to be a Jedi was hard, but to add to that, your parents trained you too along with Luke Skywalker. His nephew was also training to become a Jedi at the same time I was.  His name was Ben Solo and he was 17 and I was 16.  I never really knew who he was until the night everyone died. It was just a day like any other, I woke up, got ready to train with Luke, trained, went back to my place and tried to go to sleep but was awoken by commotion from outside. At first, I heard the screams and light sabers clashing. I ran outside to see my dad on the floor not breathing and my mom fighting against Ben , eventually she had fallen to. But why? Why would Ben do such a thing? I couldn't bear to look at the sight of my dead parents, so I started to fall back but something stopped me. "Blake!" He yelled and I turned to glare at my parent's killer, "We're not done here." "Why Ben? How could you go to the Dark Side? This is not what we were born to do. Think about Luke, your mom, and dad. What will they think of you?" I said and I saw lights from up above and assumed it was the First Order, "You don't have to do this Ben." "Yes...I do." He said and ran off to where the ship landed. I saw him get on a the ship took off. The threat was gone so I ran back to where my mother lay. I cried and ran my hand through my moms hair. I grabbed her lightsaber and walked over to my father and did the same. I stood and vowed to get my revenge someday.

Following my parents death, Luke disappeared and I went to Leia and Han Solo. They took me in and they became my second parents and I became their second child. Ben wasn't found but he is extremely dangerous considering that he carries the Force within him and so do I. I can beat him, even if it's the last thing I do. "Blake. We need to talk to you." Leia said and I nodded, "How well did you know Ben?" "Well, that's the thing. I didn't. The one thing I've been thinking about is the fact that he didn't even know me and killed everyone else but spared me." I said and she didn't say anything. Han spoke up, "He didn't even speak to you?" I shook my head and said, "That was the first night. Why do you ask?" "You're the answer to the question." He said. "What? What question?" "Why he sparred you. You're his connection to the Light. Apart of him wants to be good but he can't decide what he is doing." "Blake. Can you help him? For us. He won't listen to us but his connection with you is strong." said Leia. "What do you want me to do?" "Find him and change his ways. If you don't, our son will be lost forever."
