i'm sorry if this is rather redundant but what does task for 141 think of the engel herself? we know soap told her to stay away from könig before almost getting shanked by him but what do they all think of this abolutely batshit insane girl? also that lil tidbit of ghost clearing his throat after seeing engel wear her pretty dresses??? 👀

Ok so the thing is other operators fear König and have come to the conclusion that this man is insane. Some even think König shouldn’t be allowed to work in a field like this – actually, he shouldn’t be walking freely at all! They fear his impulsiveness and bloodlust and dread the day this guy fucks up a mission in his battle frenzy.

So if they fear König and consider him a lunatic… they would surely view a girl who wants to be with him mentally unstable as well 🫠

Their first reaction might be pity and concern: how did this guy pull such a sweet and kind girl in the first place? Is she alright, should someone do something? Should someone... save her...? (No one would have the courage I'm afraid)

But when they see how König is around her (flaunting his knives and acting like a proud gorilla full of testosterone) and see how the "sweet kind girl" is around König (smiling, at ease and flirty), they are slightly horrified. When they see she’s not a victim but actively pursues König’s company and admires him, they're kinda like, "Oookay then..." It appears this damsel doesn’t need saving because clearly, she isn’t in distress!

Also. König is so possessive and territorial he wants to leave no doubts as to who this woman belongs to. He holds her hand all the time when they’re together, going on those walks for example, and if somebody sees them he will automatically tighten his grip and pull her closer. Anytime she visits him König makes sure everyone hears them. People try to avoid paying attention to it but cannot help but hear how reader gets loved very profoundly in this gunman’s room. “You look tired,” and “Yeah I couldn't get any sleep last night I wonder how come” would become a dry joke around the barracks soon.

And yeah, reader walking around in those pretty dresses certainly attracts attention! She's practically glowing. It only adds to everyone's bitterness, however. Especially the male operators are getting more and more annoyed. Every man walks around blue-balled and tired except König, and it makes them despise him even more. What a mad, lucky fucker... And what's even more fucked up is that even though he’s getting some nearly every day, this dude shows little to no signs of calming down.

Much like Lucifer R used to an angel, knowing Lucifer back then aswell, R being considered a Golden child but also a trouble maker because they craved freedom, R remained and mourned when Lucifer fell but was prevented from following after them by their parents, R becoming kinda like a replacement for Samael in heaven since they were both the best and favorites despite their trouble making nature. Eventually R rebels against heaven and chose to leave and revisit their “best friend” you can chose how it continues and ends.

Oookay so that was a bit of a rollercoaster. I loved your request and as soon as I read it I had two different plots in my mind. Since I liked both so much, I thought why not do both! So we have the same premise but with two endings: one Happy with a hint of corruption and one Angsty with cruel Lucifer and sad feels. I hope you enjoy it! Also, it is sfw, but I liked the happy ending very much and will probably do a small continuation for it especially because I want LUCIFER SMUT. Sorry, Gwen's Lucifer just does things to me...

Anyway... enjoy!

You remembered what had brought you there, in front of the Ruler of Hell. How could you forget? Their beautiful face could never fade from your memories, no matter how many millennia passed. Their laughter whenever you toyed with your siblings’ creations, how delighted they looked when the others discovered your shenanigans. You could never get rid of the feeling they blossomed in your celestial, immaterial and hypothetical heart. Angels were made of something else, not flesh and bones, certainly not organs, but your chest still hurt as if something inside it clenched every time you thought of your best friend; the one who got away.

“Anael?” their voice was still soft, but more calculative than when last you spoke, “I thought my demons had it wrong when they claimed seeing an angel fall to our doorstep.”

You had rebelled. The Silver City didn’t have anything for you anymore. Since you were forced to battle on opposing sides with the monarch in front of you, Heaven lost its appeal, it also lost its righteousness to you. How could it be right to fight the ones you loved? Forget ineffability, it simply made no sense.

“I came for you, Samael-”

Their laughter interrupted you. You could not fail to notice the stark difference from the ones you were used to hear when you were young, just two mischievous archangels fooling around in creation, crafting the most breathtaking stars and cosmical explosions to fill the universe with beauty.

“I haven’t been called that for a long time,” if you didn’t know them your entire existence, maybe you wouldn’t have noticed the sliver of disappointment behind their practised cordial façade, but you did.

“Would you prefer I called you Lightbringer? Morning Star?” you smiled tenderly at them “Lucifer?”

Nothing changed much on their face. It saddened you that the being you loved, once full of mirth, seemed now a sealed vault, keeping everything away from view. You could not look at them without sorrow.

“Lucifer, I came here for you. I rebelled against our creator like I should have done all these years ago, to be with you,” you reach for their hand, and they let you take it.

“I seem to remember you cowering and betraying me,” they caress your hand in theirs, smiling faintly to themselves, for which reason you could not tell “You knew I would be cast here, didn’t you?”

“I overheard God and Gabriel talking of your rebellion. God certainly knew I was aware of your fate but didn’t seek me to explain. I knew you would be cast to the farthest place from Heaven, but I didn’t know of the existence of Hell, I only thought we would be so far away that no light would ever kiss our skin again, and I could not let you do that to yourself.”

Their grasp on your hand loosened, and they brought both their hands to your face, caressing your cheeks free of the few tears staining them. They were so gentle, their face so compassionate that you were overcome by your feelings, covering their hands with yours and looking deep into their eyes.

“I love you, Lucifer. I could not live a second more away from your presence. The Silver City in all its glory pales in comparison to my feelings for you.”

At that moment, Lucifer closed the space between your faces, coming down to meet you in the middle. They kissed you feverously, ferociously, as if their life depended on it, and you responded with just as much. You felt their fingers holding your head strongly, if you were a different being you might have felt searing pain from the sheer force they held you with, the desperation in them almost too much, too overwhelming.

Suddenly you screamed, parting from them in a panicked thrashing. Your wings were burning.

Happy Ending

Immediately, Lucifer held up their hands, deep sorrow and resentment twisting their face. They stepped close to you while you screamed and thrashed like a wounded animal, eyes wide with no understanding of what was happening and why your feathers had simply combusted.

“Shh, calm down, my love,” they walked carefully in your direction “It will end soon, I’m afraid I can’t make it stop but let me help you with the pain.”

The fire was slowly subsiding, in their place blackened leathery wings like a bat’s were becoming visible. The smell of burnt flesh was not uncommon in Hell, but somehow you could tell the smell of your own body from the others.

You fell to the ground, all strength was gone from you, and Lucifer encircled you with their wings, pulling you to their lap in a protective bubble. Their touch was oddly calming and you felt yourself give in to their soft words.

“I must admit I thought you would have burned in your fall. Perhaps Heaven is a bit more vindictive than we give it credit for.”

You could not believe they would do this to you. You saw it happening to Lucifer, but somehow you thought it would be different now, you thought your wings would remain dove-white and gentle. It appeared you were wrong.

“Come, I’ll take care of you,” they lifted you in their arms, taking you to what you could assume was their chambers “I will make you the strongest ruler to ever exist. No real shall be unaware of your power, fierceness, and wisdom. You will rule by my side, and we will bring those bastards to dust.”

As they whispered in your years, you felt a slow smile twisting your lips. Maybe it was the fall, maybe you resented The Presence since the first rebellion, but the thought of burning it all to the ground sent you into a satisfied sleep, in your dreams, you saw Hell the only remaining realm in the universe.

Angsty Ending

“Do you think I believe for a second that you chose to come to me? To abdicate the cold comfort of the Silver City for your supposed ‘affection’ for me?” their voice was cold and cruel, their smile just as kind and comforting as before. You could not understand how such bitterness could be hidden by so perfect of a mask.

When your guard were down, Lucifer manipulated the flames in the throne room to burn you, making your wings as black as theirs.

“Bitterness has consumed everything good in you, Samael, you’re a shadow of who you were, you’re not free, you are a slave to your resentment!” you shouted, infuriated. The rage building in your body enough to power a hundred smites. However, you had just fallen, your wings were just burned, and even with the power for a very decent battle against Lucifer, you lacked the strength to wield it.

“Mazikeen, please escort our guest to their cell. Make sure it’s the right one, where they’ll be able to contemplate what a foolish choice it was to betray me,” they said, gesturing with their hand to summon the archdemon.

You didn’t have a way of escape, Lucifer would make sure you were securely held in their claws, so you simply accompanied the creature to your new abode, a windowless cell of hot obsidian. It was just your luck you discovered that now you could burn.

After hours of introspection, sitting in your hellishly warm and uncomfortable cell, you realize why Samael were entitled “Prince of Lies”. Because in the throne room, when you looked into their eyes, you could swear on your life and the life of all living beings that they loved you just as much as you did them. It appeared you were wrong.

I don't normally like the cheating trope but a Stoncy fic idea just popped into my mind yesterday and I can't get it out.

Here is a bare-ish summary of the idea so far:

So it's Halloween 1984 - Nancy and Steve are at the Halloween Party and it goes exactly as we remember but instead of immediately leaving Steve goes and gets himself a drink (he doesn't want to be as sober anymore and its not like he's going to drive Nancy home now) slams it down and then notices Jonathan on his way in.

At this point we sort of know that Steve is wary of Jonathan and kind of feels like Nancy has feelings for him (ie - "no that was your other boyfriend - Jonathan") so with that little bit of liquid courage in him, plus the weird jealousy and anger and Nancy at the moment, he storms over to Jonathan and drags him upstairs.

Jonathan is kinda confused when Steve pulls him into an empty bathroom and just stares at him for a bit. Jonathan gets kinda shifty and nervous because Steve is really close to him and just looking him up and down and not saying anything. So eventually Jonathan just kinda clears his throat and softly asks a question like "uhhh, what's going on Steve?" or "so....where's Nancy?" or something and if it's in Steve's pov we'd get a little moment of Steve describing how Jonathan's voice is soft like butter and does it always sound like that? its so attractive yada yada you know cheesy stuff like that.

Then Steve, before he's really aware of what he's doing says something back like "I get what she sees in you" and pulls Jonathan into a kiss - which Jonathan gets on board with fairly quickly. They makeout for a bit before Steve realizes that this is definitely cheating territory and he backs off. He quickly makes an excuse about needing to walk home bc he drank too much and could Jonathan please take Nancy home?

Okay so here's the thing, these are all the facts Jonathan knows about this event:

1. He was invited to this party by Nancy

2. Steve grabbed him like he was on a mission when he first came in

3. Steve said that Nancy was into him and then proceeded to makeout with him

4. Steve was definitely not that drunk

5. Steve wants Jonathan to take Nancy home

Jonathan is still trying to process fact number three, and the only reason this fact makes sense is if all these facts fit together into some larger picture - like maybe Steve was trying to invite Jonathan into his relationship with Nancy? but that is kind of weird so he tables it for the time being.

Later - Nancy and Jonathan are at Murray's and the whole 'you two clearly have chemistry and need to just share the bed' thing happens and the whole time Jonathan's like in his head 'well yeah but I've got history, chemistry, and shared trauma with Steve too so, hows that any different?' and when Murray's like "and retreated back to the safety- of name? name?" instead of just kind of saying Steve's name he kind of blushes and sighs around it which makes Murray all 👀 "Oookay?"

The rest of that scene plays out mostly as it did in cannon but now we have Jonathan who was already previously thinking that potentially Steve was inviting him in - so when he goes to Nancy that night he makes a big deal of being like "this is okay right?" and she of course says yes, so now Jonathan has this kind of false belief that this is something both Nancy and Steve want. which isn't entirely false but is also not true - Steve and Nancy are both interested in Jonathan but are currently mad at each other, and have definitely not communicated with each other about this at all.

blah blah blah shenanigans ensue and the rest of the events if season two happen and either they all get together after Jonathan freaks out about Steve's condition post-Billy or it continues a little bit into the rest of the school year until Jonathan is like ... "so are the three of us ever gonna do something together or is it like we're all dating each other individually"

and thats the idea

Ooooo I am curious now, what are your heardcanons concerning Nightmare's goop and washing? 👀

Oookay, so Nightmare, his goop, and washing up.

So his Goop likes to pick up the world around it. By that I mean it tends collect dust and dirt easily. Not that he’s sticky, just that small particles can easily get trapped in the ever shifting substance. And it can be shed off, easily in that shifting… or trapped as it gets pulled further in.

Now, annoyingly, his goop I imagine as hydrophobic, meaning it repels water. So it just beads on and rolls off. But he can kind comb it through to rinse things off his goop. So I see him taking long showers as he finger combs through the goop to get stuff out. Which is why he tends to wash regularly. He doesn’t want it to build up and be a pain to remove. (Between the two apple twins, Noot is more prideful and cares more about appearance.)

Warm/hot water does have a “melting” effect. Not that it melts it off of him. But a nice hot bath not only feels good as the goop is cool and it feels nice to have that warmth, but it softens the goop to make cleaning it out easier. It also causes the goop to shift over him faster. This encourages a self cleaning aspect as it shifts and possibly moves the dirt or whatever back to the surface where it is rinsed away.

And that’s my headcanon on that!

The noise that comes out of his mouth, something like the whistle of a shig kettle, does nothing to help him figure it out.

He swallows hard enough she probably hears it. “I don’t think I’ve ever said something like that,” he tries.

“Oookay, point taken,” he says, laughing at his own lines and the fact she’s remembered them. His face feels warm. “Fair play, my lady.”

He grins, even if she can’t see it. “You still thinking you and the kid are going to come visit once the war’s over?”

“Absolutely. You made a compelling argument. And I think I’d like to just...be somewhere quiet for a while. I mentioned it to my old master and I think if he was able to he’d have shoved us off immediately, war be damned.” She laughs again, but it’s strained this time.

His heart clenches. “Understandable. Well, I’m looking forward to it.” His HUD blinks distractingly and he scowls. “Same time tomorrow?”

There’s some shuffling. “Hour earlier work for you? I have a meeting.”

“I’ll make it work,” he promises. “Ret’urcye mhi.”

“May the Force be with you,” she replies.

The smile in her voice is absolutely what he’s blaming his successes in this battle on.

i feel like bo's middle name is victor, after his dad. because before he was the family disappointment, bo was the heir apparent to the family name.

then i feel like vincent's middle name is something like bertrand. it's derived from of german elements, like his mothers name (presumably gertrude), but is used predominantly in france, where bo's name (if you subscribe to the idea of his full name being beauregard) is derived from.

plus, their parents wanted the twins' names to match, so their initials are reversed. B. V. Sinclair and V. B. Sinclair. (something, something, mirror image 👀)

lester doesn't actually have a middle name. his parents were less than interested when he was born, so a middle name really wasn't their top priority. sometimes though he'll sign his name with a random letter as a middle initial, just to throw people off their game because it's never the same letter twice in one place.

oookay ill go from right to left here. Simon belongs to Lucky, he's a borzoi and he's a bit mean. not exactly a cuddly dog and the only one who's allowed to pet him is Lucky (and maurice sometimes). other than that he's pretty calm tho. and very smart!

the black & white dog belongs to Maurice, her name is Flo (or Florenz, but Flo for short) and she's some kind of mixed breed probably. she's pretty young and very active, but very sweet. loves everyone

the tiny brown guy belongs to Dani, and he's some kind of terrier (norwich? yorkshire? some kinda mix?) Dani's a veterinarian and rescued him when he was found abandoned. i dont have a name for him yet lol

AIVU. Bestest Dragon Friend, literally inseparable aside from That One Time in the Abyss. He adores her and vice versa. When she was smaller, she'd sleep with her head in his lap, and once she gets gigantic they nap with him using her as a pillow

97% of why he went with storming the Midnight Fane early was bc Aivu thought it was a good idea lol. And he spends a ridiculous amount of time perfecting his cookie recipe just for her.

If Aivu doesn't count, it's a tie between Seelah and Lann, he appreciates that Seelah treats him as a normal person and her friend first, Commander second, and really enjoys Lann's dry, dark sense of humor.

Aside from getting out safely and returning to Drezen... it involves Arue and is very, very redacted. 😇👀

10. Thoughts on Queen Galfrey?

Oookay. So. Vikkari grew up in Qadira, and was far enough removed from Mendev prior to the attack on Kenabres, Galfrey was a borderline mythological figure to him. Someone you heard stories about, virtues espoused, deeds ascribed that you couldn't more than half believe actually happened bc no one could do all that(could they?). When he actually met her, he was initially very impressed. She's handling a heavy responsibility with grace and skill, she's shown admirable commitment to her duty, she seems to strike the balance of caution that doesn't lean into paranoia(/cough Hulrun /cough).

The first cracks in his positive opinion came when she got so mad at him for initiating the assault on the Midnight Fane without her and her troops. They won, they saved everyone, caught the demons off-guard and had no casualties, and she still acted like he did something wrong bc he didn't ask her advice/do it her way. AND THEN she started Judging his decision to trust Arueshalae and really landed herself on his shitlist bc boy was full-on smitten by that point and Arue had done nothing but prove herself for ages. (Honestly, Seelah speaking up in Arue's defense there earned her MAJOR Vikkari friend points) Getting sent on a mission to the Abyss sure felt like a punishment for not toeing the line, no matter what she said, extra bc Vikkari hates the Abyss. HATES IT. He's aasimar; people kept talking about wanting him as either a slave or a meal, it was awful.

AND THEN he comes back from the Abyss and Drezen is fallen (again) and she stormed Iz while he was gone and he was very much done playing nice. Especially bc Irabeth died in the assault on Iz, several of his friends almost died fighting Deskari, and the crusade was kinda in shambles from her management.

He's... coolly indifferent to her by the end; understands the burden she carries and the hard choices she's had to make, but is also pretty well convinced even if it wasn't an initial draw, she's gotten too comfortable and accustomed to the accolades that comes with being The Savior Queen who Holds the Demons at Bay and is pissy at someone else getting a share of the glory.
