David and Michael interview with Emily Aslanian for TV Insider, 10.7.2023 :)
David: So Gabriel shows up at Aziraphale's bookshop naked. He's lost his memory. Where does that leave our good heroes?
Michael: Well, Aziraphale, for someone who is of a slightly nervous disposition, for a naked... his ex boss to turn up outside his bookshop in Soho in the daytime, naked and wanting a hug, is not necessarily what Aziraphale had on his bingo card that day. But once he comes in and Aziraphale has to take him in, we discover that there is a mystery to be solved.
David: Yes.
Michael: And Aziraphale enjoys a mystery, but doesn't enjoy things like the end of the world or the stakes being that high.
David: He enjoys the mystery a little too much for Crowley's like.
Michael: He does a little bit.
David: Crowley just wants this sorted and he doesn't want you indulging your fantasy of being a private eye.
Michael: That's right, Aziraphale gets to really enjoy that. But they are forced, you know, they're a team of two now anyway, because they become detached from their respective head offices. But this forces them together even more. They've only got each other to rely on and they have to solve this mystery. And the clock is ticking. So it starts a whole chain of events that starts off potentially not being as high stakes as Season One. But as it goes along, we realise the apocalypse was just the beginning.
David: It was nothing! It was a mere bagatelle! How much time passes between Series One and Series Two. Do we know exactly?
Michael: I don't know exactly. But things have changed, obviously, between... I mean, Aziraphale is thoroughly enjoying himself. He's sort of got what he wanted, which is to be able to be in his bookshop, listen to music, watch shows, eat nice meals, drink wine, hang out with Crowley. He's a little disconcerted by not having the company behind him because he's such a company man. So that's a bit strange. But Crowley is...
David: It's not worked out quite so well for Crowley. He has the liberation of being free from Hell breathing down his neck. But he has lost the company apartment. So he is living in his car now with his pot plants. So circumstances are slightly reduced for him and he can't quite let go because we see him on a park bench catching up with Miranda Richardson's character Shax, who's taken over from him, trying to dig up a bit of gossip and find out what's really going on. So they have the freedom of not being watched over. But for Crowley, it's not worked out quite as well as perhaps he imagined.
Michael: What are they looking for in each other, I wonder?
David: In each other...
Michael: Well, I mean, I think, they sort of... on the surface, the things that annoy them the most about each other are actually what they are most compelled by.
David: Crave, yes, yes.
Michael: And so they’re sort of bound together, aren’t they? In all kinds of ways. I think Aziraphale is both infuriated and maddened and very stressed out by Crowley’s constant questioning of things. Things that Aziraphale thinks are just… those are the rules. Crowley being a sort of rule breaker and a rule bender, he finds incredibly stressful. And yet I think that’s sort of what he craves.
David: Drawn to.
Michael: He’s drawn to that.
David: Irrepressibly.
Michael: Yes.
David: Yes. And I think probably Aziraphale’s very consistency and very even-temperedness is something that Crowley kind of craves as well. There’s a sort of security in that which he doesn’t really get anywhere else. But, yes, they bicker away, but clearly with the security of a couple who know they can't really exist without each other. But I don't think... they never really admit what they are to each other. There's sort of understanding that they've only really got each other now, and therefore they rely on each other hugely. And, you know, as soon as Aziraphale is in trouble, he calls up Crowley to come and help him. There's no question there's...
Michael: Someone once said, what do any of us have but our illusions? And what do we ask of anyone but that we be allowed to keep them?
David: That's... who once said that? Should I not ask you that?
Michael: Don't ask me.
David: Don't ask you that.
Michael: Let me just say that.
David: It's lovely.
Michael: And sounds clever.
David: Michael Sheen once said something about illusions. It was really nice.
Michael: Whenever you hear someone say, 'A wise man once said', it's usually me.
David: It is usually you.

I'm just gonna write out what I think cos if someone sends me this again for the 113th time, I'm gonna snap. Look. Interviews (months!) before a premiere of something are tricky. You gotta be careful and VAGUE with what you say and what you want people to expect. Mostly creators focus on the themes in the first, maybe second episodes or so too trying not to give away much. Just the bare bones, what is already expected anyway. After all, they want you to watch it and go: "Ahhhh...." It was the same in S2 as well. (David describing in interviews how unmoored Crowley was in S2, how kind of disappointed etc and Michael how Az is also a bit disconcerted by not having a job, something big to belong to). But that's a description of - how we find the Ineffables in ep1, rather than describing the whole of Season 2. And there was a book first before the series and you must admit Aziraphale and Crowley are a bit different in the series than they are in the book. So caution was needed. PLUS their story has evolved again. It doesn't now end in the Ritz (I know it never really did for Neil and Terry who clearly wanted them to deal with the whole system somehow). The husbands have more trouble ahead. More details were added. We got more of their story, their journeys. Crowley doesn't change and is just waiting for Aziraphale to catch up with him is not much of a story, don't you think? Aziraphale is a naïve goody two shoes angel who has to realise Heaven is bad - is just so simple I'd be angry if I was Neil and read that. Well, okay, I AM angry.
And I'm sorry but Aziraphale has not lived a guarded life. He has lived a life of fear and anxiety with bosses who underestimate, belittle and laugh at him and think he's soft and rather pointless. Does anyone know what the question was Neil answers?
Yeah, Aziraphale changes a lot in S1 (esp first 2 eps, he's kind of forced to think about the stuff that was always kinda there but swept under a rug a bit in is mind). Crowley throws out - we should do something. This whole Armageddon thing, I don't like it. He is so much a questioner of everything, isn't he. Why does it have to be tis way. Makes no sense, what if... And generally, he doesn't have much to lose. If Hell wins, well, he knows what it's like. If Heaven wins, well, it'd be marginally better? Just about? If he survives to see it? Still sucks balls tho. So yes, David is right that Crowley NEEDS Aziraphale to see things his way and quickly. Cos EARTH.
Aziraphale knows the Earth came with a manual and an expiry date. He even told this to Angel!Crowley aeons ago.
So Aziraphale's journey (is not stopping believing Heaven is good and truth and light) is believing that he has choices. That the Plan might be Ineffable but it doesn't have to follow what he was told it must follow.
Crowley says, look, let's try, what do we have to lose. You like Earth as much as I do. And he gets Aziraphale to agree, they hatch a plan.
We watch Crowley come to love and trust Aziraphale through the ages after all he has been through. We watch Aziraphale to guard their little existence and carefully push at boundaries of what he thinks he can get away with. He wonders at what things are really like. What do they mean.
Their journey, is towards each other.
I don't know how they will smash the System before they fall into a tight embrace and never let go, but I know they will. Even if they have no idea yet that that is even possible. How could they.
And if I see one more post about how Aziraphale was backsliding and choosing his ‘faith’ over Crowley in the Final 15, I will set the internet on fire.
I can never decide if Heaven and Hell are more like mafia or like a dictatorship. Maybe a mix of both. Just cos they couldn't be killed, they were left alone for a bit. Didn't last long though, did it. They needed to be separated so they don't stop another go at destroying the little Universe project God started. I guess the Archangels are quite fed up with it.
Remember. Aziraphale and Crowley have nowhere to go. They never had. The best they could do was keep their little places on Earth. For themselves. For each other. Until they couldn't.
If you thought Aziraphale won't take the chance to have a tiny glimmer of an opportunity to destroy the fucking system in whatever way he can come up with (instead of what, being downmoted, having his memory erased too?), than you don't get him at all. Did he want to stay? You heard him say it. Was he allowed to? (No, really Metatron, nice chat but do fuck off for real now, I have a date with my demon). If you think Metatron wouldn't be back with a punishment for helping Gabriel than I don't know what to tell you.
Remember this?
Tumblr media
And then they threatened the demon he loves.
Tumblr media
ALSO Why do people keep bringing this back to justify their vague (or not so vague) dislike of Az (but but Neil said "I think Aziraphale needs to learn") cos they think Az betrayed Crowley by leaving or something. The angel is just so stubborn. And he just won't listen to Crowley... right? /s And they ignore all the other wonderful things Neil says about Aziraphale. Especially pointing out again and again and again how smart Aziraphale is. And you can see this. In canon. On screen. In the words and scenes of what Neil wrote. You can see Aziraphale's struggles - he is a part of something he disagrees with and has no way out (Hell is not a way out btw) and tries to live in his existence in the little bubble with Crowley while being extremely careful not to have it burst. Until it inevitably does. Just as he always knew it would. But okay, if you want to have Good Omens be about a demon who figured everything out and is now waiting for his fluffy little angel to catch up and apologise to him (a million times) for being stupid so they can finally ride into the sunset, have at it. TL;DR - Heaven is good and Heaven should/could be good are two different things - Aziraphale is not an idiot; whether he still believes God is good/neutral/whatever and just the management bad or not is up in the air, we can't know unless we ask him, but it's definitely not so simple as he needs to see it's bad, like Crowley did, end of story - The Ineffables HAVE NOWHERE TO GO. There isn't a secret third option where they can leave for and be happy if only Aziraphale opened his eyes - it's what the story is about - Crowley left Heaven for an even worse place. It would make zero sense for Aziraphale to follow his journey. Crowley is not free and doesn't have all the answers - I bet it has never occurred to either of them the whole System can be ever changed (we don't even know if it can be. The System is bigger than the UNIVERSE) - But I think that's what they'll do in S3

We don't hate women. We hate women who are abusive towards their partners.
Michael and David both deserve better and just because you want to buy into what PR and social media tells you, you don't have to attack other people for being upset over actors they care about possibly not being happy.
David wouldn't leave Georgia, they are married and have children, so he feels responsible. He always puts other people before himself. And Anna played it well with the babies, as harsh as it sounds. Michael would feel terrible leaving the girls. People staying in relationships doesn't prove you right, sadly. It's no sign of anything other than commitment and commitment doesn't always come from a place of love.
By saying that Michael and David shippers want to see them unhappy in their relationship, you show that you're missing the point. The whole point of shipping them is wanting them to be happy. You just want to be hateful towards people who don't suppprt your narrative, it seems.
GOD I WISH TUMBLR WOULD LET ME ADD TEXTS BEFORE ASKS SO I COULD SAY “Warning: you’re about to hear one of the most moronic takes I have ever heard” *insert gif of amanojaku from ghost stories here* okay let’s…we have to break this down it’s too much for me to just laugh at and go “wow this is dumb as hell”
“We don’t hate women, we just make up stuff so we can justify hating them”- you. where’s…where’s any shred of proof that either women are even a little bit abusive? I mean don’t you think we would have seen some of that by now? And no, enty lawyer doesn’t count as proof and neither does random screenshots of a bit of text with zero context. Also neither do jokes online with your partner when they’re okay with it (and make the same jokes quite literally all the time) and nobody sees a problem with it except the people that conveniently hate these women.
2. “Michael and David both deserve better” yes I’m sure the rich white middle aged men who are two of the most popular actors in their countries who have girlfriends/wives and kids who love and adore them are surely hurting because some weirdo on tumblr says it.
3. Hate to tell you this but married people with children divorce all the time. It’s not like if they divorce he is going to suddenly vanish in a puff of smoke babe.
4. Even if that’s true, your theory of him only staying out of responsibility is bullshit. Someone who stays for the kids isn’t going to dip their wife into a kiss on the red carpet and look at her like a hozier song sounds. If there’s any event or interview where he can find a way to praise Georgia, he does it. He always talks about her. After events they’ve been seen kissing deeply and walking arm in arm honeymoon style.
5. as for Anna and Michael, (David and Georgia too but they seem more open to pda) they don’t owe you pda. Michael has been more than adamant about defending his girlfriend on twitter and good for him about it.
6. if you guys were genuinely concerned with Michael and David’s impending relationship crashes, why is it always tied to their love for one another? The only people who see This rampant “abuse and unhappiness” is this group of people who believe David and Michael are actually in love and want to elope together. Nobody else. Not even other Sheenant shippers. You guys literally just hate them, I mean Invisibleicewands has been talking shit on Anna since she posted her first photo with Michael back in 2019 and hasn’t stopped.
7. “And Anna played it well with the babies, as harsh as it sounds.” seriously what the absolute crap is this supposed to mean my dude? I’ve gotta be honest….you know how smex works right? Michael could absolutely choose to use protection!!! Why is it on her? Not on him. He’s had kids before I think he knows that a stork doesn’t bring the baby. Holy hell you people make my eyes hurt
8. (finally) funny you should bring up narratives, you know considering you’re part of the group that thinks any affection towards anybody else that isn’t them is PR (thinking of the Joseph Fiennes hug fiasco) that lied about Georgia and Anna being abusive, that has tried time and time again and moved the goalpost, that fabricates evidence and tries to send death threats to people who speak out, and then lie about it, that your group is the one who can’t handle women working together and have to call everything PR. The same group that ignores the fact that Anna and Georgia are friends, to talk grave shit on them. Newsflash sweetheart, we aren’t the ones pushing the narrative here. You only want to see David and Michael happy as long as it aligns with your delusion. Have the day you deserve.
anyways, I think this is going to be my pinned post. Mostly because I want this to be embarrassing if you ever try to come back here and lie on Betty whites internet again, but also because I think this addresses so many tin hat talking points at once. Just because we love aziraphale and crowley doesn't mean we get the right to insert ourselves into their personal lives, you wouldn't want someone else praying for your relationship to fail.

Following up on this excellent post from @nightgoodomens, it really is astonishing to see so many people in the GO fandom misunderstanding the characters/personalities of Aziraphale and Crowley. While I by no means am against people having head canons or differing interpretations, it has become frustrating to see people pushing their ideas about Aziraphale and Crowley onto others and declaring them to be official canon, leaving no room for any kind of discussion.
One of the things spoken about in the above linked post is the denigrating of Crowley, which seems to be a near constant in the fandom at this point, particularly in relation to the "apology dance" scene. (Which, to be fair, is chock full of soft!Dom Aziraphale vibes--thank you, Michael Sheen.) What seems to keep getting missed is that the entire apology dance routine is something that Aziraphale and Crowley do to each other. There is just as much of a possibility that Crowley sat there with a similarly smug look on his face and let out a guttural, snakey "Very nice" when Aziraphale did the dance in the years he listed off, because they play this game together.
Aziraphale and Crowley's relationship is one of equals, and I think this is also something people seem to not understand well. It seems as though a lot of fans who project themselves onto Crowley want to be taken care of, and so they want to believe the same of Crowley, and that the reason he wants to be taken care of is because he is broken. But someone doesn't have to be broken to want someone to take care of them. Sometimes the people who are a shambles on the outside can be dominant, just as sometimes the most buttoned up, put together people can also be submissive. And sometimes the people who look in control on the outside can feel not at all that way on the inside.
But this nuanced thinking seems to increasingly be difficult for many GO fans, particularly those who spend a great deal of time on social media, a place where people are either blindly praised or denigrated and torn down, and where such behavior greatly reinforces that binary, black-and-white mindset. We so badly want the world to be clear-cut--good vs. evil, heroes vs. bad guys--but very often that just isn't how things work. And it is exactly what Terry and Neil were trying to speak against in the GO book (and subsequently, the TV show).
The other thing that I think influences a lot of fans' perceptions about Aziraphale and Crowley is their chosen corporations (i.e., Crowley being thin and Aziraphale being plump). There is an automatic assumption that thin somehow equals more vulnerable, and for all of the emphasis that is placed on Aziraphale and Crowley being genderfluid/nonbinary/not subscribing to traditional gender roles, it's Crowley who seems to be viewed as more androgynous/femme, and is therefore looked at as inherently vulnerable. Meanwhile Aziraphale is thicker and viewed as more masculine, and therefore he is somehow inherently not vulnerable. Yet if the body types were reversed, it seems highly likely that fans' attitudes toward them would be much different.
(It also saddens me that this seems to mirror the fans' treatment of Michael and David, where Michael serves as a target for the fans' venom and is seen as less desirable/more threatening because he presents more traditionally masculine, while David is not targeted or attacked and is seen as more desirable/less threatening because he presents much more androgynously. Consequently, many fans find it easy not to sympathize with Michael, and when you can readily disregard someone's feelings, it becomes easier to see them as "less." In the case of Aziraphale and Michael, it leaves no room for either one to be vulnerable and is unfair to both of them.)
What I have always taken away from Good Omens--and from Michael and David's portrayal of Aziraphale and Crowley and how deeply they both understand these characters--is that Crowley doesn't need to be a perfect angel for Aziraphale to like him. He just needs to be a little bit of a good person. And Aziraphale doesn't need to be a perfect demon for Crowley to like him--he just needs to be enough of a bastard to be worth knowing. Neither one has to fully subscribe to the other's outlook or point of view to listen to what they have to say.
Aziraphale and Crowley meet in the middle. In the place that becomes their side, and where they take care of each other, fight with each other, and love each other. And that's more than most of us could ever ask or hope for...

i know this is like baby communist stuff but do you have any recommendations on how to approach theory? aside from like marxists dot org
sorry forgot this ask was here. i'm not sure if you mean getting into marxist theory specifically or just, how to approach dense theoretical texts that are often unwelcoming to new readers.
regarding marxism, i personally get a lot out of michael heinrich's how to read capital every time i revisit it, and his introduction to capital. david harvey also has some useful work, including a companion to marx's capital. harvey also has a lot of problems (see here to start) and tbc i'm not suggesting him or heinrich because i think you should treat them as unassailable authorities. but i find that both of them are useful for glossing and presenting many of marx's ideas in a way that makes it clearer to lay readers how they're formulated and what's at stake. if you've ever opened capital and just been like "these corn laws must be important but i'm not sure i understand why", i think companion guides like heinrich's especially can be really helpful for giving you a foothold and an idea of what to look for, how to evaluate the utility and applicability of the concepts, &c.
in general, getting into theory can definitely be intimidating but i also think it's less scary than people make it look at first. what concepts or problems or people are interesting to you? that's where you should start; you might find that you end up wanting to read the people they were responding to as well, but i think it's a common mistake to psych yourself out by trying to trace every theoretical concept back to its ultimate source (the old "reading plato so i can read kant so i can read hegel so i can read marx so i can..."). if you're baffled by a text, online is your friend; i really recommend the stanford encyclopedia of philosophy, and you can poke around their articles' bibliographies. also, if you're reading something and it sucks, hit the bricks. life is short. lastly i think discussing theory is not just fun but also useful, for pushing your own understanding and gaining someone else's insights. so, if you have friends who are into this stuff or access to a reading group or something, i'd take advantage. there are definitely ways to do this online as well, although there is something to be said for buying someone a pint and a pack and having a good argument :-)

What if, in this moment, Aziraphale & Crowley found themselves unexpectedly transported to our world?
Tumblr media
And then met these two idiots?
Tumblr media
And they all had to work together to get Aziraphale & Crowley back?
I wrote a fic about it (When Worlds Collide). Here are some nice things people wrote underneath its chapters:
"I can't tell you how much I'm in love with this fic. Like I want to marry it, right now! The amounts of times I literally shrieked with laughter reading this. I had to stop to wipe my eyes, I am dying"
"In love w this actually. the SHENANIGANS!!!! this was a joy to read"
"this fic is eating me alive. an immediate cult classic. if i had your permission and any ability to execute this at all, i would bind this fic in leather and carry it with me all my days like a spiritual nomad with their dearest tome. You Are Taking Me There."
"JFJDJDJDJFJFKDUSHCMCKCD I NEED TO GO TO BED BUT THIS FIC IS SO GOOD"
"Oh, Chapter 4 is my favorite so far. And that's saying a lot, because every time I read a new one I think 'there's no way this can be topped...it's too good, too funny, too fresh a take on these characters"
You can find it on AO3 here When World's Collide, there's an exert below, and if you're feeling generous enough to do a little signal boost re-blog, I will love you forever.
"Terribly sorry, but I wonder if I might help settle this business about whether we are who we say we are?"
Michael and David exchange glances.
"I doubt it" says Michael, reaching around the door frame for his water bottle whilst stepping out of the bathroom to take a swig. Aziraphale sweeps his hand in an arc as Michael puts the bottle to his lips, glugging. He immediately coughs and spits red wine forcefully across the room.
“Holy shit!” Exclaims David, jumping backwards to avoid being splashed.
"What the Hell was that for?" Michael splutters angrily, wiping his mouth, eyes moving between Aziraphale and Crowley
"Did you swap that out when I was filming?" he asks, irritably, looking around at the mess. "You've completely ruined the costume."
"I do hate to see it ruined," Aziraphale worries, glancing at Crowley who mock pouts. "No harm done to the furnishings at least" he says, as the stains miraculously disappear. He turns to Crowley again, appealing.
"Yes, fine" responds the Demon, getting up dramatically. He eyes Michael, who's still agitated, and feels like someone is looking into his soul. The gaze of an actual Demon, not just his acting partner, is enough to stifle any remaining irritation. With his eyes fixed on Michael, Crowley lifts his hand to click his fingers, and removes the stains from the actor's costume completely. Michael looks wordlessly at where the stain was, and raises his gaze appealingly to David.
"It's not... they can't... this is ...." he tails off, walking over to the table and sitting down.
Crowley sweeps his eyes over David's features "he's Aziraphale?" he asks, a depth of skepticism to his tone, "this guy?"
"Yes", says David "he's lovely really" Aziraphale side-eyes David before flitting his gaze to Crowley.
"And you're me?" Crowley asks slowly, with equal depth.
"Y...yes" says David with rather less confidence. Even underneath the dark glasses, he can tell the Demon is searching his eyes. "I might just take the contacts out" he says, to no one in particular, and ducks back into the bathroom.
"They'll need our costumes back. Where are you two going to sleep tonight?" Michael asks.
"Oh I don't sleep" Aziraphale shakes his head as though he's been offered an unappealing appetiser.
"I do"
"We'll get you a hotel room" says Michael. Aziraphale and Crowley exchange glances and Michael resists the urge to settle their discomfort by saying they'll get two. This situation is ridiculous, but he'll be damned if he isn't going to have a little fun with it.
"Thank you" Aziraphale offers, politely.
The door to the bathroom opens and David comes out, eyes back to normal. Crowley looks him over, flicking his eyes to Aziraphale, gauging the Angel's reaction. Aziraphale stares at David's face, breathing slowly, mind retracing memories long gone, but never forgotten.
"We better go then" Crowley huffs.
"Not dressed like that" David gestures to Aziraphale, who looks down at his clothes fondly, smoothing down his jacket.
"I have standards, you know?" He says.
"He's not wrong" Crowley agrees.
Michael, who had been watching Aziraphale's reactions thoughtfully, taking mental notes, speaks up "if we go in pairs and break up leaving, it's possible that no one will notice two David and Michael's leaving."
David looks uncertain.
"Unless you have a better idea?" Michael asks, "One, single, better idea?" Crowley and Aziraphale both flick their heads to look at Michael in recognition.
"No, let's do that" David relents. "I'm going to change." He steps back into the bathroom.
"Me too" says Michael, heading for the door "I'll be back in 5 minutes."
A few minutes later, Michael returns in the outfit he arrived in that day, to the general disdain of Aziraphale.
"Do you still think we should come to an arrangement?" Asks Crowley, smiling at this turn of events.
"I can't wear that" Aziraphale gestures to Michael's clothes, completely failing to hide his disgust at the suggestion he should wear such an outfit.
"What's wrong with this?" Michael asks. He's wearing jeans and a shirt, nothing worthy of such disdain. His question is ignored.
"You have to, Angel" Crowley teases, just as the bathroom door opens and David enters in a bright purple jumper. Crowley looks at him, then back at Aziraphale, a panicked expression briefly flicks across his features. The Angel raises his eyebrows and puts his hands on his hips in a look that communicates 'your move'.
"Oh Hell no, that's not happening" the Demon states. Clicking his fingers, he changes Michael and Aziraphale into sharp suits, David and himself into slightly-less-tight-than-usual black jeans and a slim black shirt. "Take it or leave it" he says, glancing briefly at Aziraphale, who's eyes soften, and lips form a slight smile in thanks whilst he smooths down the well-fitting suit.
"Yes, much better" The Angel sighs.
"For you, maybe, I'd never turn up to work in this" Michael fiddles uncomfortably with the collar.
"You should dear, you look ...nice" Aziraphale says, moving over to Michael to smooth his collar. Michael frowns at the Angel, noting the back-handed compliment.
"The hotel's not far," says David. "I'll call for a car. I'll take Aziraphale." Aziraphale and Crowley exchange glances in silent resignation. "We should wait at least 10 minutes before you call for yours" he raises his eyebrows, a quick glance at Crowley. He reckons he has the easier job.
"So, I'll be pretending to be..." Aziraphale gestures to Michael.
"Michael" Michael looks unconvinced by this.
"Yes, I know, I just wondered if there's anything I should know about you?"
"Probably best if you just don't talk" Michael glances between Aziraphale and Crowley. But Aziraphale looks very uncomfortable at this suggestion.
"He's an actor" David tries to offer something that will help.
"Yes" Aziraphale responds in a tone that shows his patience is wearing thin.
"He lives in Wales" David tries again.
"Oh," Aziraphale smiles, a look of relief forming on his features "Oh lovely, I do love the Welsh Coast" he beams, looking at each of the other trailer occupants. "Yes, yes I think I can handle this" he nods, confidently, adjusting his cuffs.
David smiles back, broadly.
Michael and Crowley are less confident, their eyes meet with a knowing expression of concern.

Love at first murder
Paul x f!oc
Happy New Year!
After closing her shop, Nora realised she is being followed. She is prepared and managed to prevent anything bad from happening, but then this handsome boy shows up.
Paul has been feeling like shit lately and figures out why: he has found his mate.
--------------------------------
Sometimes, the boys would jokingly talk about finding their mate. Someone who would complete them in a way. David was deadly serious when he said that he didn't have a mate - although Paul thought Michael would have been pretty close to it had the whole Emerson affair not happened. Dwayne didn't mind the thought of a mate per se, but still, why would he need one when he was more than fine right now? Marko simply refused, even going so far as saying that he'd just kill his mate right then and there - no way that he would be tied down. Paul knew that realistically speaking, Marko wouldn't even be able to kill his mate, but the point was clear.
Paul, however, just always assumed he didn't have a mate. And if he did have one, it had to be someone who knew how to party. Someone who would yell along to his songs and didn't mind the drugs. But he, too, always said he didn't mind having no mate.
Lately, he had been feeling off, though. A strange knot forming in his stomach, tugging him a way from the cave and towards - well, somewhere. The feeling had started almost a month ago, and every single day that he tried to ignore it, it got worse. First, it was a small tug, but now it felt like he was slowly being ripped apart. So, he decided, after abandoning the boys for the evening, he would follow that bloody tug and see where it would lead him.
On the other side of town, in a small bookstore, a young twenty something year old girl sat behind the counter. The store was mostly empty, except for this grandma with her grandson, and she had decided that she could best spend her time reading while they browsed. Tonight's read was - once again - Anne of Green Gables. Oh, how she loved Anne and her dear friendship with Diana. And, how she loved the budding friendship between Gilbert and Anne. It never bored her, even though this was the ninth time that she read it.
Paul frowned as he sat outside the store in a tree. This girl - pretty but yet seemingly quite nerdy - had been the cause of all this? Was this girl - he realised this as the tug in his stomach lessened - his mate?
No. Paul refused. His mate would not be a hermit, a booknerd, someone who would describe every single drug as "You know, weed and such" and then giggle as if ot was something horribly tabboo. His mate couldn't be someone who probably never even heard of Black Sabbath before. How? In every store he heard about finding mates, he had always been told that they were made for each other. But this girl - she didn't seem to be the right fit for him. For Dwayne perhaps, but for him? He shook his head, deciding to leave.
"Was this everything?"
"Yes, thank you Nora. I'm so sorry for coming in this late."
"Nonsense," the girl behind the counter smiled. "I was still here, and I know how important a good book is."
"Grandma said this one had pirates," the boy looked proud. Nora grinned.
"It does! I'm certain you'll like this one. It's quite an adventure." She wrapped the copy of Peter Pan in some brown paper and handed it to the grandma. "That will be seven fifty."
As the grandma and grandson left, Nora closed the shop. She counted the money, put the bills in the save, locked the doors, and made sure the blinds were locked as well. Grabbing her bag, she looked around one last time before nodding. She had everything.
As she walked out the back, she couldn't help but feel as if she was being followed. Multiple times, did she stop and look around, but every time, the street was empty. "If this is your idea of a joke, it's not funny!" She called out.
"Who says it's a joke?"
Nora turned around quickly, seeing an older man standing four feet away from her. He had a sickening grin, as if she were his prey. Nora's look darkened.
"What do you want?" She sounded impatient, which she was. She just wanted to go home and watch a good movie, read some more, enjoy a cup of tea, and then go to bed.
"Smile for me, pretty."
"Fuck you, asshole," she crossed the street, her hand gliding into her bag. Her dad had told her to always be prepared. She had forgotten her pepper spray at home, but the boxknife she used to open deliveries to her store was safely tucked away in her bag. Her hand closed around it, ready to pull it out if needed.
"You'd like that, wouldn't you, bitch!" He came at her, quickly. She couldn't move away. He pushed her to the ground. He was out of breath, grinning madly. She looked at him. She tightened the hold on her knife. The man moved down as if to kiss her and-
She stabbed him. His cheek. His eye. He fell backwards, his blood covering both himself and Nora. She tried to push him off of her, but he was heavy - to heavy for her. She tried to crawl away from under him but had no luck.
"Shit!"
"Fucking hell, are you okay?"
Nora screamed, eyes widened. "Where the fuck did you come from?"
The boy, tall and looking as if he could have been performing at a rock concert looked at her.
"I heard some struggling and came to see what was going on. "
"Can you help me move him? I-" Nora hadn't even finished her sentence, or the guy had already lifted the man up. Seemingly as if the creep weighed nothing.
"Thanks."
"Glad to know you can defend yourself."
"Hm?" Nora looked up. She had been a bit lost in thought, wondering if she had killed him - and if so, what the consequences were. And then, what was this boy doing here, helping her? And why was he so familiar, so handsome, and why did he feel so safe?
"You did quite a number on him."
"Is he alive?"
"Barely."
"Oh." She sat on the curb still, shaking a little.
"You did nothing wrong," the guy held her hands, having a slightly proud look on his face. "You protected yourself. That's all."
"So we just leave him here?"
"Yeah. It's no one's loss. Believe me."
Nora nodded, getting up with his help. "Let's get you cleaned up. The boardwalk is pretty empty right now, so you can use the showers at the beach without anyone asking questions."
Nora walked with him, not asking how he knew about the number of people on the boardwalk or how he knew that no one would ask questions. Her whole dress was covered with blood, and she thought it was quite noticeable. When they arrived at the showers, the guy turned to look at her.
"I don't even know your name."
"Nora."
"Paul." He grinned. "What's your size? Than I'll get you some clean clothes."
"You really don't have to, I-"
"Come on, when I take you out that's when people will notice the blood on your dress."
"Wait, what do you mean take me out?"
"You know, a date? I'd like to know more about you."
Nora couldn't help but feel flustered. "Alright. I'm somewhere between an M and an L."
"Don't worry, I got you," Paul grinned, "I'll knock three times when I get back."
Nora smiled despite everything. Something about Paul made her feel safe. The way he helped her without asking any questions or being freaked out... she liked it. She liked him - which was weird because she only met him an hour ago. And yet, she realised as she washed the blood of her face, she would follow him to hell if he asked.
Paul still wasn't sure what to think. Nora was different than he thought her to be. Even before accepting that she was his mate had he realised that she was beautiful - but seeing how she protected herself, how she was clearly freaked out by the whole situation, and still managed to think straight. He liked it. He liked her. Maybe, he thought as he grabbed two dresses. Maybe she was the right fit. Maybe he didn't need someone who was exactly like him.
Nora opened the door after hearing three knocks. Paul stayed outside, handing her the two dresses. "I didn't know which size would be better, so I got both." Nora smiled. That was kind of him, she thought as she put the larger one on. It was comfy and warm.
"So," she said as she got out of the shower unit, "if we were to go on a date, where would you take me?"
"Dinner, obviously."
"Alright. But, " and she looked very strictly at him, "I pay. You already helped me with well, you know, and with the dresses. I pay for the food."
"That all depends on who gets the waiters' attention first, babe."
Nora smiled. They decided on pizza, and after finishing it, it had been Paul who had been the quickest in gaining the waiters' attention. It might have been because Paul had yelled: "Yo, we're ready to pay here!" Nora had given him the win.
"Paul?" It was in the early hours of the morning, and he had just dropped her of at home. "Do you want to hang out again? Tomorrow maybe?"
Paul was quiet for a moment before smiling. "Yeah, I would. Pick you up at eight?"
Nora nodded. She had almost reached her front door when she turned around, walked back and gave him a soft kiss on his cheek. "Thanks for tonight."
With those words, she disappeared inside her house, leaving Paul alone.
"What's got you so happy?" Marko asked as he entered the cave. "Found a good fuck?"
"Better."
"What's better than that?"
"I found my mate."
"Holy shit," Marko looked at him. "For real? What are they like?"
"Nerdy. Adorable. And absolutely amazing."
"You're whipped dude."
"How did you know?" Dwayne had walked in.
"Ah, it was love at first murder," Paul grinned. Maybe having a mate wasn't so bad.

Jennifer 'JJ' Jareau x Autistic nonverbal daughter reader
Summary: Will is busy with Henry and Micheal so JJ brings in their 5 year old daughter to work, the little girl meets Hotch and instantly latches onto him which shocks everyone.
Yes another Autistic reader because I need this right now.
Third person pov...
JJ kisses her husband and sons as she gets ready to leave for the day. The blonde haired woman smiled at her boys. "I'll see you later okay?" She says getting a giggle from baby Micheal, a okay 'mama' from Henry and a smile from Will.
She smiles lovingly at her boys before looking around for her only daughter Y/N, the 5 year old was around somewhere, either playing with toys or watching her favourite show over and over again.
"Y/N!" She yells before remembering the little girl wouldn't respond to her name, Will looks at his wife. "I'll go find her" he says handing Michael to JJ before going off to find their Daughter.
It takes a few minutes to find the little girl before Will finds her in her favourite room in the house her room, the little girl had all her special Interests in her room, it was vastly decorated and made for the little girl.
Her room is where she feels most comfortable, Will watches from the doorway as his only daughter happily rocks back and forth while watching her favourite show. The man then casually sits next to her keep a bit of space between them and not touching her.
Him and JJ learnt early on that their daughter didn't like physical touch unless she wants it, they don't push it on her, they also Learnt that she could profile someone when she first meets them like she can tell if they are a good person or not, another thing that she is Nonverbal.
This means that some children who are Autistc choose not to speak, This doesn't mean that they can't or don't have a desire to communicate though. So little Y/N speaks with movements, writing things down or sign language.
Will taps on the carpet and gains the attention of his 5 year old, the girl looks up at him never meeting his eyes but she is listening to him. "It's time to go, Mama wants you" he says to her, the little girl smiles at him and stands up, he watches as she grabs one of her sensory toys.
The 5 year old H/C child then grabs her Dads hand and begins walking with him to the front door where JJ and her brothers were standing waiting fir her to show up, Michael starts giggling when he sees her, Henry jumps around excited and JJ watches with a smile as her daughter is holding her Husbands hand willingly.
"Ready to go sweetie" she says to her daughter, the little girl smiles at her mum and let's go of her dad hand. JJ and her wave bye before leaving and getting in the car, JJ helps her buckle in before handing the little girl her sensory toy ans little lunchbox woth her usual lunch in.
JJ then starts the car, the two were soon on their way to The BAU headquarters, Y/N was coming to JJs work because she couldn't leave her Husband alone with all three children it wasn't fair and she knew Y/N would enjoy going to JJs work place.
When they arrive JJ opens the door to Y/Ns side, she let her daughter choose I she wanted to be carried in or wall on her own. Surprisingly the little girl reached out for JJ, this made the blonde woman smile and excitedly pick up her daughter. "Ready?" She asks the 5 year old little Y/N grins at her and nods her head.
The two make their way into the building and quickly into the lift, JJ picked the BAU floor. "Now I have your headphones with me, and your sensory toys, if it gets to much come find me okay Honey" Says JJ to her daughter, the 5 year old looks up at her and signs 'yes mama'
JJ smiles "good girl" the elevator doors open and JJ walks into the bullpen, she spots Derek Morgan, Emily prentiss, Spencer Reid and David Rossi standing together. "Hey guys" she says to the others the Agents look over to her, all arw shocked to see the little girl in her arms.
"Who's this JJ?" Asks Emily as she looks at the adorable 5 year old, JJ smiles and bounces thr little girl in her arms. "This everyone is Y/N LaMontagne, My daughter" as she says this Spencer walks over to JJ and Y/N, the little girl makes repeatetive noises as she sees the man.
The little girl has the biggest smile on her face and signs 'Uncle Spencer' over and over as if she was screaming his name. "Heyy Y/N/N!" He laughs before holding the little girls hand letting her se eif she wants his touch.
The little girl wiggles and JJ let's her down once on the floor the 5 year old quickly runs to Spencer who kneels on the ground he let's the little girl touch hid face and hair, letting her feel the textures, a other thing Y/N loves fleeing different textures and on different people.
As the little girl and Dr bond JJ is interrogated by the others. Derek looks at her then at Y/N. "Well she doesn't look that old, so when did you have her?" He asks making JJ laugh. "Y/N is 5 years old, we never told anyone about her because we wanted to keep her safe and not overwhelmed by everyone" she explains to them.
Rossi smiles "she looks exactly like you" he says making the woman smile. "I'm glad" she says. The three watch as the little girl rocks back and worth on her feet and hands flapping excitedly as Spencer talks to her about something random.
Emily notices this and looks to JJ. "She Autistic?" JJ isn't surprised that she finds out, the blonde smiles at her friend. "Yes she is, we recognises the signs when she was 4 but she always had been, thanks to Spence we know last about m having a child who is autistic" she says making Derek smile at her "Your good parents to her" he says.
The others then get on with their work, realising they had been wasting time, Spencer continues to entertain Y/N at his desk.
Time skip...
It had been a few hours since Y/N had turned up with JJ and she was doing incredibly well being around so many people, the little girl soon git bored of sitting and watching her mum and friends work, the 5 year old gets down from her chair and wlaks out of her mums office.
The 5 year old walks around the bullpen and sees a sign on a office it read. 'Aaron Hotchner' the girl had heard the name before her parents spoke of a 'Hotch' alot, the 5 year old then walks over to the office and pushes the door open.
She looks around before walking in the office, she sees shelfs fill of many books, and many case files stacked up on a desk, she then saw a man leaning over and writing in one, silently the girl walks over to him and wayche shis facial expressions change.
She watches him fir a couple seconds before tapping his leg, the man's head shot up he looked around for the thing that tapped him. He then looked down and saw the little girl.
Y/N saw his eyebrow raise in confusion before she gave him a smile and started to make her way up trying to climb him, The still confused man helped the little girl up and she sat happily in his lap.
"Who are you?" He asks her, the girl taps his hand and writes her name on his palm, the man instantly realises she didn't talk and let her communicate with him via writing or sign language.
"So your JJs daughter" he says gaining a nod from the child sat in his lap, he was surprised when she got comfortable in his lap only jsut meeting him.
After a few hours the little girl eventually falls asleep which allows Hotch to stand up and carry her out off his office and into the bullpen where he saw JJ rushing around like a maniac worrying about her daughter.
The man saw his other Agents doing the same thing, looking under tables for the girl, even rossi was voluntary on his knees. "Is this who you are looking for Agents" he yelled over the noise not loud enough to wake the child in his arms but loud enough to be heard.
The intimidating man watches as JJ cries tears of relief as she sees her daughter asleep his her bosses arms. "I can't believe she warmed up to you so well Hotch" Says the mother taking the child into her arms.
Hotch let a small smile escape his mouth. "She must be a good judge of character then, she's my make an amazing profiler" he said making the woman laugh. "I know she will" she whispers carrying her daughter out of the building and back home after a long day.
The end!
Hope you liked this oneshot for JJ, as always sorry for the grammar and Spelling mistakes.
This took me a while to think off.
Requests are open!

Do you ship cherry and sodapop? If you do, what hcs do you have for them
yk i didn’t think much of this ship when i saw it floating around and then i got nice and cozy under my blanket and it hit me like a bullet to the skull, i was jumping around banging the wall just being an actual freak for them. idek what happened
so yeah i’ll live and die on the cherry cola train
- They are exactly the person the other needs, and exactly the opposite of the partner that broke their heart
- Cherry needs someone who will see her and love her for who she is, who’ll listen to her when she talks and look at her like she hung the moon and the stars
- Soda needs someone who wants to love and be loved, who isn’t afraid of things getting tough and who will entertain his less serious side
- Two-Bit and Marcia are the ogs, but Cherry and Soda omg they’re so “Uptown Girl”
- Soda is obsessed with Cherry’s hair. He loves everything about it. Anytime they’re standing next to each other, he’s twirling it in his finger, playing with it, braiding it
- When they’re cuddling, Soda absolutely will be putting his face in Cherry’s hair because he thinks it smells so good
- Even though Soda’s dropped out, when he doesn’t have a shift they’ll make plans for him to pick her up after school so they can go on walks through nature trails
- Soda tends to go too fast because he likes being on the move and getting to their destination while Cherry likes appreciating the nature they see on the way
- Cherry loves how brown Soda’s eyes are. He says they’re boring and not as cool as her green ones but what she doesn’t tell him is that when her and her girls go on beach trips, she’s collecting little rock’s and shells that remind her of his eyes and putting them in a little cork jar tied with a ribbon
- In a perfect world, Two-Bit, Marcia, Cherry, and Soda go on double dates
- Absolutely Soda and Cherry are that couple that get one milkshake and two straws
- But they both end up getting one more for themselves anyway. They were disappointed at how awkward and unromantic it actually was
- Modern cherry cola would eat up all the romantic tiktok trends. Finding jewels at Michael’s that match each other’s eye color and making bracelets, slow dancing in the snow to “Until I Found You”, setting up their camera on the ground and making hearts with their hands to have a lockscreen, oml i’m so single
- More on that, it’s Soda recording Cherry in a white dress running down the shore to “Ceilings”
- Back to the 60s—they love exchanging music. Cherry gave Soda her records of Brenda Lee and Frank Sinatra to listen to and Soda lent her his only Chuck Berry and David Bowie records
- When Cherry’s parents were out of town, she invited Soda over and they didn’t even do anything like both their friends teased them about. They put Elvis on the record player and danced around all day. When they came back from the grocery store, they put him right back on and started baking cookies
- The Valances have a beagle that loves Soda more than anyone. You’d think she was about to fly away with how hard her tail was wagging when he walks through the door. Soda will roughhouse with the dog and she loves it because other than her walks, she doesn’t get to do much in the house
- Inevitably Cherry asked him to actually meet her parents. Soda was less than thrilled, but agreed
- It killed him when he had to ask Darry for help getting ready to have dinner with her parents. He wanted to make a good impression but didn’t know how to style his hair. He just remembers all the times he clowned on Darry for doing the same thing
- Darry has mixed feelings about the relationship, mostly because he doesn’t want to see Soda get hurt the way Paul hurt him, and absolutely prohibits Cherry from being over unless he or Pony is in the house too. In his head it’s to prevent another Sandy incident. At the very least, if Cherry is someone Soda’s as serious about as he was Sandy, then he’s using protection, no exceptions
- Soda starts wearing a bigger jacket like Dally’s when the weather gets cold in hopes that Cherry will say she’s chilly and Soda can give it to her. He just wants to see her wearing his jacket he’s so down bad
- Cherry’s absolutely NOT any better. She purposefully left her coat in her house and only wore a cardigan just so that she could say she’s cold and get Soda’s jacket for the day
- As much as she’d love to keep it, she knows he actually needs the jacket back for the winter since she doesn’t know if he can afford to buy another one
- It helps them have all those romantic moments all over again, so it’s absolutely a win in her book
- They both love to hum. When it’s quiet and just the two of them, Soda will start humming the start of a duet and stop so that Cherry can hum the woman’s part. They’ll get so into it that they might as well just start singing, they’re clearly just singing with their mouths closed
god i need fanfic about them fr

Question: What, in your opinion, makes someone more "paintable" than someone else? It's not how conveniently good looking they are, from what I can tell (no dissing, that is merely my observation). I'd really like to know. Thanks!
well that's a good question anon! let's see
okay so since yesterday i said Sam Lake is very paintable, let's use him as an example (I'm so very sorry to Sam as I'm about to dissect his face xD)
Tumblr media
okay, so as someone who likes painting faces, the first thing i notice on people are the eyes (i think that's what most people notice first, right?). these are very paintable eyes. you have a bit of asymmetry going on, which is nice (don't let anyone tell you asymmetry is not beautiful, they're lying ok), they're expressive, shaped in a way that's fun to paint (idk how to explain this one) and a really really nice colour, very bright and reflective (all eye colours are beautiful however). so that's one thing
so the next thing i notice would be the overall shape of the face, planes, shadows etc. using this picture cos it illustrates all of that really well and it's also a very nice picture so pls enjoy
Tumblr media
so this guy has some very sharp features (sort of like David Tennant, who i also like to paint a lot, incidentally) and idk that's fun for me for some reason xD i think in general soft-featured faces are also a bit more difficult to paint (think Michael Sheen, Philip Quast), although they're also very paintable, just a bit trickier
anyway, the next thing that makes me think someone is paintable is their side profile:
Tumblr media
artistically speaking, this is a very interesting side profile, especially in the right light such as this one (cos Mr Photographer is a genius, bless Sergei Sarakhanov). like look at that, that's every portrait artist's dream right there
additionally, what makes someone paintable (for me, at least) is their general vibe. which also means I'm usually at least somewhat familiar with what they do and i happen to like it, i know a little bit about them and the kind of person they might be (which you obviously can't really know unless you know someone personally, but you can certainly get an impression of what they're like). Sam Lake passes the vibe check, pls refer to this video as proof:
youtube
anyway, your point about "conventional good looking-ess" - idk what that means xD i struggle a lot with the concept of attractiveness and what that means for people cos i don't see people in that way myself. i think most humans are beautiful (the ones who are not are just people who might be considered objectively "bad", like if you're a bad person, you can never be beautiful imho) though. for me it's mostly about the inner light, so to speak. sometimes you can just see it, no? like in the way someone looks at other people, the way they talk, their overall demeanour, whether or not they make an effort to be kind to others. you can see it in their work, as well.
idk if any of that answers your question nonny :') but somehow the people i end up painting the most all seem to be really good eggs. my brain finds them paintable cos painting them makes brain happy. that sounds kinda dumb though xD but it is what it is xD

Protection
Pairing: Poly!Lost Boys x Vampire!Reader
Pronouns: She/Her
Summary: (Takes place towards end of the movie) Reader protects the boys from Michael, Sam, and the Frog brother’s.
Warnings: Blood, Major character death, maybe spoilers
Tumblr media
I sensed them before they’d even entered the cave, waking me up immediately. I pretended to be asleep, until I could tell what they were doing. I snapped my eyes open just before they could reach Marko and let out a hiss that woke up my boys.
“Get away from him!” I launched myself at the young boys, chasing them out of the cave, followed by David. I pulled David back, keeping him from falling into the sun as the young boys ran to where I knew Michael was waiting.
“They have, Star and Laddie,” I growled, I never liked Star anyway, but Dwayne would be crushed at the disappearance of the kid.
“We have to wait until nightfall,” David mumbled next to me.
“I know that, Love,” I rested my hand on his cheek briefly, walking back into the nest, “are you alright, Marko?”
He nodded at me rushing into my arms quickly. I pet his hair for a few moments, giving him a kiss on the forehead.
“Go back to sleep, I’ll let you know when we’re going,” I move to sit at the entrance of the cave.
When it was time, I already sensed all of their traps. Telling the boys to wait for me on the edge of the property instead. They hadn’t accounted for me, or the fact that I was more experienced with hunter’s than any of the boys. And I had the scar on my hip to prove it.
“I hope you’re ready to learn what Lost Boy style is,” I sang into the empty halls, laughing to myself lightly. I smelled him first, the dog. I jumped out of his way, clinging to the ceiling, looking for someone else to deal with.
“Don’t worry Michael,” I called out, “i won’t kill your dog, I’m just here for you!”
I flew towards his shadow, allowing him to pin me.
“Where are they!” He yelled, I laughed, even as one of the boys pointed an arrow at my face.
“You’ve lost,” one of the Frog boys spoke, “why do you find this funny.”
I laughed harder at his statement, taking them all by surprise when I shoved my hand through Michael’s chest.
“Oh my god!”
I laughed as I chased them through the house, ripping them apart as I caught them. I caught a glance at Paul watching me from the window, sheer puppy love and adoration in his eyes. I had left and met the boys quickly, Paul and Marko throwing themselves at me with affection.
“And look who I got back,” Laddie ran right into Dwayne, a small smile appearing on my lover’s lips. Marko and Paul continued showering me in kisses, cleaning up the blood on my hands.
“Okay, Okay,” I laughed when the kisses started to tickle, “I love you boys, I do, but I need to be able to move.
“No,” Paul countered, wrapping strong arms around me.

So al was asking ppl to ask her questions as her Fridays are so dull while her partner doing a play. Doesn't she find when she wiv michael it dull cos usually shows it or the other way round and then the bird one I found interesting cos since when have we seen Ms be protective over Al we haven't seen him speak or defend his relationship of what the journalists or ppl say about his relationship of what was said on weds where she defended it and and put a insta story about it we all know he loud but protective I think if he had to choose to protect or save someone it would be david hands down not al
What ur thoughts love to hear ur take on this
Tumblr media
(Grouping together for ease of answering. @hyperfixating-rn-brb's Ask is referring to the last screenshot.)
So, I saw this as it was happening on Friday, and...yeah. I'm not sure what the impetus behind this random Insta AMA was (perhaps PR suggesting that Anna do something to counter her rash of recent off-putting social media posts?), but whatever the reason, choices™ were definitely made with some of (well, most of) her answers.
I think what struck me about the ones in these screenshots is how they’re lowkey insulting to Michael, but all in different ways (and not overtly, but passive-aggressively, as hyperfixating-rn-brb mentioned). It also seems odd that AL is currently in London, one of the most dynamic and attraction-filled cities imaginable, yet acting as if there is nothing to do on a Friday night. (Because Michael (and/or Georgia) aren't there to entertain her, I guess?)
Leaving that aside, the entire way this happened was just strange. A lot of the questions felt very boilerplate ("Are you currently reading anything?" "Who is your biggest inspiration?") and almost like they were planned in advance (I think at least one actually was from someone AL knows personally, IIRC), yet interspersed with enough "wacky" questions to give the impression of it being this spontaneous Q&A thing.
As for the answers in the screenshots above, I saw people on Twitter getting outraged over the "girly" question on Saturday, but predictably for all the wrong reasons. In particular, I noticed people once again blaming Michael/David shippers for it, but just from the wording alone, my feeling was that whoever sent in this question did not seem to be a shipper at all. "Girly" has a very specific, borderline homophobic connotation to it (akin to someone asking Anna if she "acts dykey" around Georgia), and while I know English is not her first language, I don't think that meaning is something AL would have missed.
So, no, it's certainly not a great or appropriate question by any means. But the bigger issue, at least in my opinion, wasn't so much "Why would someone ask this?", but rather "Why would she post this?" Because Anna is a grown woman who could have very easily just ignored this question altogether. Instead, she chose to draw attention to it, and to react in much the same way as her "vagueblogging" from the other day. It was as if the purpose in sharing it was to show people what she has to "put up with"--either from the fans or from Michael or both.
That's the other piece of this--that she shared this question with seemingly no regard for how it makes Michael look, or whether it would or could be embarrassing to him. It immediately made me think of this tweet from Michael two years ago, where he chose to answer a question in such a way as to deliberately not embarrass David (further explanation can be found here). It's something that seems so small but means so much, and that you'd think would happen effortlessly for someone you love. So the contrast of that to Anna posting this was striking to me, and it was further compounded by her answer to the "favorite bird" question.
Again, it's almost unsurprising at this point. Anna has previously made unflattering comparisons between Michael and Cousin Itt, a Hobbit, and Hagrid--among others--and now we can add a cockatiel to this list. What’s weird is that the question itself had nothing to do with Michael, so there was absolutely no reason to bring him into it...and yet. It felt like name dropping for the sake of name dropping, which just seems like a weird thing to do when she's been dating him for five years now. Did she think we forgot? That we needed a reminder? Whatever the reason, this definitely seemed like such a strange choice, and another instance of passive-aggressively putting him down under the pretense of a compliment.
(A note about the "protective" part, as I noticed that was particularly mentioned in this Ask. I would agree that there are a lot more overt/visible instances of Michael being protective of David--many of which I have talked about on my blog--than of Anna. That does not mean I don't think he is protective of her, however, but that there is a distinction between the two. It is possible to be protective of someone out of a sense of responsibility and obligation, and those are not necessarily bad things. But it's very different to being protective of someone not because you feel like you have to be protective, but because you want to be. Interpret that how you will...)
Finally, I just need to mention that one of the questions AL was asked was about Georgia ("Is Georgia secretly holding you hostage?"), and what I have hardly seen anyone talking about is that Georgia reshared that Insta story a short while later...and added a song called "I'm Trapped"...
Tumblr media
I just...was this meant to be shady on Georgia's part? Who, exactly, is "trapped" here? The subtext and potential implications can go in so many directions here that it's hard to know where to start, but...yeah. The optics of Georgia resharing this story and adding that song in the middle of AL's Insta Q&A were and are questionable/cringey/unintentionally hilarious on multiple levels.
So yes, that is my take on the events of Friday night. As I've said before and will again, I know I could be totally off the mark here, so I'd love to hear from my followers as to what you think. Thank you for writing in! x

Star always confused me to her purpose in the movie. She never really struck me as "damsel in distress" because she never really seemed distressed. I wanted to look more into her character and figure out why she acted the way she did. And you know what? She had the perfect set up to be one of the antagonists...
My new theory: Star is actually one of the antagonists trying to manipulate Michael with David's help.
Star and David are platonic friends who are mutually benefiting from each other. However, she is also a minor antagonist who was manipulating Michael to get what she wanted: her own freedom. Michael was probably not the first one that she lured to the vampire den, though he was the last.
Star manipulates Michael to get protection against becoming a vampire. She doesn’t want to live as a vampire, and Michael is giving her an out. The reason David doesn’t seem to care is it benefits him too. Star brings home men who would “save her” and it would lead to the Lost Boys either getting a meal, or Star being freed. David wouldn’t care if she’s “freed” because the only way for her to really become free is if someone kills Max, which would benefit him. Either way works, and David doesn’t seem to be that attached to her as he is the rest of the boys. So David’s using Star as a lure for finding someone to kill Max and in return Star gets a roof (if you want to call it that…) over her head and support from the boys. It would make sense that David couldn’t give less of a crap when she sleeps with other men because he’s in a platonic relationship with her. This would also help make sense of the line “David wanted you to be my first.” David either 1) never said such a thing and it was a line Star made up to create tension between Michael and David or 2) was something David said to get Max pissed off and use Star as a scapegoat if she killed Michael. Either way, both benefit David.
Whether David was into Michael (I believe he was hella thirsty, but I digress) would not have mattered because the events that took place were supposed to have been calculated: either David getting Michael as a vampire or Michael being killed. The biggest flaw of the plan was also the most important though- Star couldn’t know of Max and vice versa. If Star knew that Max existed, it would have jeopardized David’s plans. And if Max knew that Star existed, he’d know David was behind the whole thing.
Star has some other lines within the movie that cover her if Michael ever became suspicious. Such when after David brought Michael to the bonfire, Star says she "tried to warn" Michael about the blood in the bottle, but everyone knew damn well that wasn't enough to stop him from drinking it. She also claims that it is "all her fault" and guilts Michael into helping her and Laddie in the end.
Another thing that always seemed odd to me was that Star knew where Michael lived... so did the boys. The boys must have told her. David knew where Michael lived at the very least because he brought Michael home after the bridge. Star also knew everything that was happening between Michael and the boys making it very plausible that she was working with David the whole time. There's also a fair chance that since she had decent control of her powers that she was able to stalk Michael in the house as well.
When it comes to the final battle, I find a couple things interesting. First, during the cave scene where they go to rescue Star and Laddie, Star is woken up when she's spoken to in a quiet voice. Earlier in the movie Michael is also woken up when spoken to. But when the vampires are in the cave upside down, none of them appear to wake up to voices or Sam's little scream. They only wake up at Marko's scream, which is... I mean loud but so are the kiddos. Y'all know my other head cannons about how I don't think that the boys really died... but I digress.
In the end, Star was just another antagonist who gained her freedom. We do know that they stayed together after the movie, so it would be that she ended up having feelings for Michael in the end.  The classic "went in without feelings and fell for the person" trope.

this is a part two to this post, can be read solo but i recommend reading this first.
the party is in full swing. their friends surrounding them, most of them set up in the living from and a smaller more introverted group gathered in the dining room.
steve never knew what a good community could truly do for him as living in hawkins was clearly not a place where someone like steve could thrive.
he hid for so long, but here in boston its so different. they have this amazing group of friends, 90% of which are like him and eddie. and the other 10% support them endlessly.
he looks around and sees robin and nancy curled up on a chair in the corner, talking to their friend jasmine who is sitting on the floor, the two of them with wide smiles. because him and her have telepathy, robin looks over at him them. he throws her a quick wink.
he can hear david's laugh from the other room and can smell the bouquet of flowers sitting on the coffee table that andrew brought.
he can feel the slight hint of eddie's bare skin between his jeans and his shirt where steve's hand it resting.
steve has friends. steve has a loving partner. steve is content.
steve also has his ex-best friend sitting on the other side of couch with whom he has not spoken yet.
they exchanged pleasantries, and him and eddie have chatted with michael plenty. michael was a handsome guy. probably late 20s/early 30s, dirty blonde hair with a middle part, and generic clothes aside from the round glasses on his face; steve could appreciate that. he wasn't steve's taste but he could tell he was an objectively attractive person.
he and tommy made an attractive couple, the two of them seemingly comfortable with each other. steve was happy for tommy, even though their friendship didn't end on good terms, he was glad tommy found himself.
steve must have been in his own head for a while as he just felt eddie poking him where he sat to his left, "babe? you okay?"
steve smiled, "yeah yeah im good," he leaned into kiss the juncture of eddies jaw.
"alright, good," eddie smiled back at him and batted his lashes, "would you be a doll and toss some of the beer bottles in the recycle?"
"yeap."
eddie smiled again, "love youuuuu."
steve started gathering the bottles on the coffee table, quickly finding that there were too many bottles for him to take at once. steve just shrugged it off and planned to make another trip back up to the apartment from the recycle bin until he heard a voice perk up, "here, i'll help."
it was tommy, he was picking up the remaining bottles.
"ok, uh- thanks."
steve and tommy walked out of the apartment making their way down the few flights of stairs into the alley with the recycle bin. it was quiet, neither of them even attempting to make small talk.
but being around eddie for the last decade has made him uncomfortable with silence, "so uh, how'd you meet michael?"
they walked side by side by side, opening and shutting the lid of the bin, disposing of the bottles, "we met in college, he was in my american archaeology class my junior year. we were friends for a while and started dating like three years ago."
steve nodded, "oh that's nice, he seems like a good guy."
there was a lull again. they walked up the stairs, and as they were making their way up the last flight tommy speaks up, "hey listen steve, i know its too little too late and it was over a decade ago, but i just wanted to say that i'm really sorry about all the shit i did while we were friends. i know it doesn't mean much but i was just not happy with myself so i uh- took it out on you and that was shitty so i'm, yeah i'm sorry."
they had stalled on the landing of the staircase right outside of his and eddie's apartment.
steve fully did not expect an apology from tommy. honestly he had mostly forgotten about him, he hadn't been back to hawkins in four years since wayne officially moved to rural new york.
he had heard from the grapevine that tommy was living down in texas but really he had no connection to him or that part of his life anymore. he never expected to speak to him again, let alone apologize for what happened.
steve clapped him on the shoulder, "it's all good man. not exactly like i was innocent either, i was a dick back then too. hell high school steve would flip if.." he gestured his head in the direction of their apartment.
they both understood what steve meant.
"yeah me neither, pretty sure high school me would beat up current me."
they both laughed, the air lighter than before.
there was a respite in the conversation before tommy piped back up, "you know its actually funny uhh, looking back I'm pretty sure i had a crush on you back then."
huh.
that might have been even more unexpected than the apology, "really? that's uhhhh, wow."
tommy laughed lightly, "yeah i think all that shit with billy our senior year really threw me for a loop and it was the first time i really started thinking about you know," steve does know, "and i uh- fucking hated myself for it so that's why i lashed out like that."
steve gets it and he says as much, "yeah i understand that. when i was first figuring my shit out, it was right when me and eddie became friends so i pushed him away at first. then you know, we kissed for the first time and i had this moment where i was like 'oh i don't hate him, im in love with him' and here we are eleven years later."
"yeah it's hard but i'm happy for you steve, you seem really happy."
steve glanced over at the door of their apartment, he can hear the faint noise of an electric guitar being played to the tune of iron man by black sabbath. pre-eddie, steve never would have believed he could recognize a single black sabbath song, let alone from outside of an apartment with the door muffling most of the intricacies of the song.
how could steve not be happy? he has more than he could have imagined at 31.
he lived within walking distance to his best friend in the entire world. he has a group of friends who are perfect and lovely. he lives in a beautiful city. he has a great job. and he's in a more-than-a-decades-long relationship with the love of his life.
"yeah, i really am."

When an alien loves an earth boy!✨
Chapter two
youtube
Tumblr media
“Darling?”
Michael’s face turned light pink when he heard that nickname escaped David’s lips. This had to be a joke… right? There was no way that he could be married to this guy, he barely knew him and is now expected to marry him by a motorcycle race! This was happening too fast for him to process on what’s going on, too fast to get married to a guy who he just met!
At the same time, however he felt conflicted by the pet name he never in his life was given a pet name by someone let alone another man! Sure he has been called sweetie or honey, but only by his mother. How the heck was he supposed to react being called darling? His head was pounding like a bass drum, his vision became blurry, his body fell backwards as everything faded to black.
Sunlight pierce through his window as morning dawned through out his room. Michael yawned as he woke up, only to hear the sound of grandpa’s stereo changing to different stations and the smell of something delicious filling his nostrils. Putting his bedroom shoes on, he walked downstairs to hear a woman singing on the radio.
“Where the boys are, someone waits for me~”
“A smiling face, a warm embrace, two arms to hold me tenderly~”
He didn’t think everything of it. “It could’ve be mom cooking breakfast while listening to music.” He thought to himself as he walked towards the kitchen. Stepping into the kitchen to find not his mom, but David making blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. When he was done with making breakfast he placed three pancakes onto each other on a plate with the eggs and bacon on the side.
Puts the plate of food on the table while grabbing a bottle of maple syrup, placing it on the table and then pouring a cup of coffee. Humming a couple of notes of the song, David looks up and gently smiles at Michael. “Good morning.” Michael stood still across the hallway to the kitchen stunned. This has to be a dream, a very weird dream all he could remember was racing with David and his friends on Hudson’s bluff why on earth was he here?
“Best to play it cool” he thought as he stands in the kitchen hesitating rather to stay or to go back upstairs. “Come and eat, you must be hungry, darling and I don’t want you to start your day without breakfast” David says fondly tapping his index finger on a chair as way of saying to sit down. Michael hesitated for a moment before looking down at the food David made for him, it looked mouthwatering almost like a picture from a magazine he sat down in his chair and devoured his breakfast while giving David praise for his cooking.
“This is absolutely delicious!” “You did a great job, David.” It’s was more than just delicious it’s was heavenly, the pancakes were soft and fluffy, the eggs were scrambled perfectly with cheese on top and the bacon was crispy. Everything tasted so well made it felt like he was eating like a king! David chuckled as he rubs the back of his neck. “Aww, it was nothing” he blushes softly at the comment. “I’m just glad that you are enjoying your meal.” “You know, a good husband should always know how to cook for his partner, darling.”
Wait-husband?!! Michael nearly choked on his coffee after hearing that. “Oh, I almost forgot to tell you this, but you ended up passing out last night.” “You see, I’m not really human I’m actually a alien from the planet mercury and that race we had last night was actually a marriage proposal on my planet and that you and me are now married, isn’t that wonderful?” David smiles warmly at Michael, who in turn grabs his jacket collar with a look that could kill. How was this wonderful?!? Michael was fuming with anger he would rather jump off a bridge than get married to an alien!
David still smiling “Now, darling it’s rude to be mad at your future husband.” Before Michael had a chance to tell him off, both heard chuckling from the other side of the room. “Aww look, the lovebirds are having their first fight.” Marko cooed “Is it too early in the morning to be fighting with your husband, David?” Says Dwayne with a smirk on his face. Both boys blush at their teasing, but more so of Michael being embarrassed. “His not my husband… well not yet anyway, we haven’t been on our first date yet!” He blushes at thought of him and Michael going on dates together.
Soon enough Paul, Star, laddie, Lucy and Sam come downstairs to check what was the fuss about. After everyone had breakfast they explained everything to Lucy and Sam that they were aliens and Michael and David were now married. Lucy was a bit concerned about him and David getting married so soon and not really knowing each other. “Don’t worry, Ms. Emerson we’re not gonna get married right now we’ll be going on dates first before we get married.” David explained. After hearing that she was happy for Michael and David.
On the other hand, however Sam found this situation hilarious! “You’re getting married to a Martian!” He laughs hysterically as Michael’s face turned red shouting. “Shut up Sam!” He got up from his chair in frustration and walked up to Star and took her hand to the counter of the kitchen to talk. “Star, not to said rude but I don’t want to marry David.” “Oh come on, Michael give him a chance besides he really likes you!” She smiled at him. “Well I don’t.” He says seriously. Star raised a brow in confusion.
“Why, is it because he’s a man?” Michael’s eyes widened by star’s question. “What, no.” “Is it cause we’re aliens?” “No, well kinda.” “Then what?” She asked crossing her arms towards her chest. “I barely know him.” He says in a whisper. “You’re get to know him better when you ask him on a date.” “What?” He shouts quietly. “You hear me, ask. him. on. a. date.” Before he could say no, Star turned his body around to where David was standing next to the kitchen table and pushed him toward him. Michael looked back at Star in fear. “Go ahead.” She whispered giving him a thumbs up.
Michael cleared his throat and tapped David on his shoulder. “Um, David?” “Yes, darling?” David turns his attention toward Michael. “I was wondering if you were like to go out with me tonight?” Go out? Like go outside, David tilted his head slightly like a confused puppy. “Go out?” “Go out like a date… me.” “You serious?” David asked walking closer towards him. “Yes.” Michael says with a shaky smile while taking a step back from David. “With me?” “Absolutely.” David’s eyes gleamed, his lips crawled up into a smile beaming with joy.
“YES!!” He shouted, giving Michael a tight hug as him and Michael floated around the room. He was on cloud nine, he was going on a date with darling it felt like a dream come true! Soon, their hold hands, go on more dates, share their first kiss and- DAVID! The sound pierced through David ears as he looked at darling. “Not under certain conditions we’re not!”
“Conditions?”
This will be interesting!
