ngl the nature of new vegas wander being wander where-so-ever combined with my impression of it being. very buggy. makes me a bit nervous to fuck up progression of stuff but uhhhh yolo ig. (i also have like. no sense of any of the plot beats in this game or if doing stuff will lock me out of other stuff (outside of faction based stuff obvs))

also i found some concept art for s1 of the show by Nick Keller of Wētā FX (which im glad about cause for a second i couldn't tell if s1 had any concept art at all and I was growing concerned) and. oh my god. what did they do to this poor artist. these are screenshots of despair.

There are a lot of iterations of JUST the chimera and a good amount of planning for the waterpark (originally including the spiders!!!! the actual spider automatons got modeled!!!!) with some actually pretty dramatically different concepts between versions. And it sounds like the show scrapped 90% of what was put forward - if i had to guess, mostly on the basis of how much it would have been animated. The chimera seems like the most complex thing that got through and it got cut back quite a bit. There's a third gallery for just the statue of Aphrodite and it has so few concepts comparatively to the other two pjo tv galleries and barely any blurb, mostly just describing how it came up much later in the concepts phase. It feels so empty. I feel bad for this man. Nick Keller what did they do to you...

I think we need to acknowledge more how much fucking cool shit you can do with Ra’s being so old. Like he was there for the Islamic Golden Age!! He saw the rise of the west and how his peoples and ancestors contributions and breakthroughs were disregarded and put down!! He’s seen the languages he grew up speaking change and evolve so much that they sound almost completely different. He’s experienced other languages he spoke completely die out. Fuck man that’s such an interesting thing to think about to me.

There's not much to say that I haven't already, but really, thank you everyone for reading and sharing my silly little comic strip. This was just a personal project that I posted online to keep myself on a schedule. It's been a lot of fun, and I've learned a lot but MAN churning out one page a week is harder than you'd think.

On that note, some people have been asking for a printed version for quite some time, so here's an interest check!

I do think there's something interesting in how bruno, trish and narancia are all fandom-mischaracterized in ways that can be p much disproven by a couple of scenes they share

Bruno is always shown as the doting mom of the team, narancia as the clueless kid who doesn't know what hes getting himself into, and trish as a sort of self obsessed arrogant girl thats often the mold people put female characters in, even though theres two instances of bruno ordering narancia to put his life in direct danger for the sake of the mission and justifying it by saying that narancia knew the risks when he took this job, narancia accepting it (during green day) because bruno is right and he did in fact know the risks, and trish being kind of baffled by brunos coldness and worried about narancias safety. This very similar situation happens twice and yet,

thank god i have the no equipment decay mod bc i'm literally so overwhelmed rn i tried looking up the quests on the fnv wiki to figure out how to navigate the quests on the strip but they just made me paranoid that i was missing stuff and i also keep getting turned around and the maps and quest markers aren't helping and it's stressing me out...
