We're talking making notes and charts and a list of Everything That Must Go Right for the Perfect Setup. He's made a list of seventy-three options and eliminated half of them. He's fussed over the ring and has three different options stored in his sock drawer, one in the bottle of shower gel Bill doesn't use, and one up in the rafters. There's an excel file with probabilities for weather and temperature and the mood Bill might be in at that exact moment.

Of course, all these things completely fall apart in the most chaotic manner possible, with a high chance of 'near-death experience' to boot.

Dipper ends up blurting out 'Marry me' after the battle, seizing Bill's hand while his own are all sticky with the blood of their enemies and the survivors groan in anguish in the obliterated wreckage. And it's the most romantic proposal Bill could ever ask for.

Do any of Minnie’s teachers like her? And does Buck show up to parent-teacher conferences?

Minnie's teachers have run the gamut from "likes her fine enough but wish she would apply herself more/stop missing so many classes all the time", "completely ambivalent", "annoyed", and "trying to suck up to her bigshot superhero parents by proxy". She hasn't gone to school proper since running away to live with Buck - she ran off during her spring break, and since then has been doing self-driven online college class type things off and on - so Buck hasn't had an opportunity or reason to go to any parent-teacher conferences so far. If they were in a situation where his guardianship was more official and Minnie was going to school... well, honestly, Davey would probably have to prod him into it.

Like maybe you’re an up and coming star and you’ve fallen in love with one of your costars, an absolute beautiful (albeit a little bland) man everyone in the world seems to be fawning over, and you guys get engaged which is all good and well until you remember you have some…. unfinished business back in Texas. You go home for the first time in ten years, divorce papers in hand, and meet your soon to be ex husband Joel at the house you two shared once. Maybe he’s out working in the garage when you pull up in your rental car and he’s got a bandana sticking out of his back pocket, grease on his hands, and sweaty curls slicked out of his face. Maybe he looks you up and down when you get out of the car before he turns back to the faulty engine at hand. “You sure haven’t aged much.” He mumbles and you sigh. “‘S what happens when you get outta this shit hole. Life gets a whole lot better.” And maybe y’all get into an argument because he won’t sign the papers and you won’t take no for an answer and who ever thought this marriage would actually work out? You guys were just stupid kids making stupid choices. You make wise cracks at each other in the company of others and all but torment each other with years of unspoken tension and unresolved issues.

Although the longer you’re in Texas and trying to force him to sign the papers, the more you start to see what his life without you has looked like and how he’s changed. Maybe he takes you line dancing for the first time in ten years. Maybe y’all have a nice dinner where you don’t end up screaming at each other. Maybe you apologize for things you should’ve apologized for years ago. Maybe he finally signs the papers and a piece of your wannabe Yankee heart cracks just a little.

After so, so, SO long of just craving to hear Jimin’s voice ... his vocals in a song of his own making ... we have all of these songs with his voice only, and hearing the deep house remix of Like Crazy is like a dream come true for me. Listen to that clip...

Every ad lib, every aching note is like bathing my eardrums in silky ... silk ... just Jimin caressing the auditory cortex in my brain...so sexy. Every time I listen to it I fall deeper and deeper. 

Yoongi said Jimin's voice is neutral and I took that to mean gender neutral but I'm not a vocal expert so I'm not sure if that is what he meant. All I know is my ears are not the same after this deep house remix. I’m not the same. Is this what they mean when they say life changing?

Do y’all feel like we scored a touchdown this week? Maybe that analogy doesn’t resonate with those of y’all who don’t live in the U.S. but let me illustrate:

Gotta hand it to Jungkook to gate keep his own body all these years. I respect that. If anyone is gonna make money off those abs, its gonna be Jeon Jungkook and no one else. No wonder he was doing that hardcore ab workout at Coach Tommy's during that one and only live we'll ever get from there (thanks to assholes). 

You know, at first these fashion ambassadorships were confusing me. It’s because I was not thinking it through. We know the guys have to enlist soon because they keep talking about being together in 2025. Why would multi-billion dollar fashion houses contract with them not knowing how the next two years will pan out?

Because I was too caught up in the time frame of the scramble to get their solo stuff released, the promos involved and enlistment getting closer and closer I could not see the obvious: In this time before enlistment, ad campaigns will be produced that will run through next year, keeping the members at top of mind. Brilliant. Now we know why Kookie said he has to take care of his body for the next 365 days. 

They can’t do anything while enlisted, so let these upscale fashion houses do the work and promote their brand/images for them, riding their marketability into next year and we will get to see them being their classy-ass selves from time to time in Dior, Tiffany, Celine, Valentino, Bottega Veneta and Louis Vuitton... Calvin Klein... It’s a win-win-win. 

The successes this year of Hobi, RM, Jin and Jimin’s work so far is adding to that marketability. We are one year and 9 months away from 2025. We’ll see how it all plays out eventually I guess.

this is a thinly veiled reference to a very particular dynamic on here but it also applies generally: honey makes for such an ideal partner to the disillusioned/begrudging aristocrat. she has all the social stamina and know-how to entertain fussy rich folks at necessary affairs, and the business savvy to know who to talk to, how to talk to them, and how not to burn bridges when it's important not to.

on any given day she might trend on being a little too honest/candid, not mincing words or concealing her feelings, but she does know how to be frank with tact, when it counts. but, in that same vein: she's no pushover. she doesn't let herself get taken advantage of, doesn't readily bend to peer pressure, and won't enter into business relationships with anyone who clearly doesn't have her (or her partners') best interest at heart, (or who are just. y'know. shitty people all around).

she has a bubbly, bright, and outgoing mien which makes her easy to talk to—and, as has been stated before, while she won't let people step all over her, she won't necessarily correct them when they underestimate her. that 'ditzy trophy wife' shtick probably loosens the tongue of less observant folk who assume they don't have to worry about what she hears, or that she won't understand implications in direct conversation. they'd learn, in time; but she'd make full use of the advantage while it lasted.
