Wanted to highlight Paco Rabanne, because after it disappeared from being worn on red carpets for a while (right?), with Florence Pugh wearing it for one of the Dune: Part Two press events, maybe the brand gets traction again.

But the Rabanne 2024 show was underwhelming and not really on brand, sadly...?! Hopefully, they go back to similar concepts like the metallic, chromatic face shields paired with pleated metallic structural dresses, just more conceptual looks in general...so amazing!!!

Issey Miyake (April 22, 1938 - August 5, 2022)

Issey Miyake’s clothes veered from the wildly inventive, as evidenced by the minuscule knife-edge pleats that characterized many of his garments, to the starkly classic, as embodied by the black turtleneck that would for decades serve as the trademark attire of Apple cofounder Steve Jobs. 

An early proponent of the concept of fashion design as both a form of art and a kind of architecture, he counted among his influences Isamu Noguchi, Constantin Brancusi, and Alberto Giacometti.

i always loved the idea that toru is super crafty. she loves to paint, she’s constantly stealing scraps from the other kids and even sometimes the junkyard to make a crafts project, she’s really good at chalk art,,, she’s an artist and a great one at that.
